They cater for everyone -- even me, and I am a coeliac vegetarian! Fabulous Spanish "small plates," main meals and occasional live music on weekend evenings.

Upstairs bar, downstairs busy, happy restaurant. Great food and only 5 minutes from the flat and close to Leith "Shore". I like it because it has a good range of vegetarian and gluten-free food, as well as a good range of plates for 'normal' people!

The Great Outdoors

Arthur's Seat near to home. Bus or walk from Edinburgh Castle down the Royal Mile to Holyrood Palace. A beautiful park in the city with spectacular views. Braid Hills and Blackford Hill (take a bus or drive there) for great walks and views. Portobello Beach -- a 20-30 minute walk from Leith or short bus/car ride... ... and relax.
