Small island close to the city, boats leave from Nybroviken at all times. On Fjäderholmarna you can take a swim, walk, or use some of the cafés and restaurants.

Island just some minutes from central Sthlm. Take bus 76 from Södermalm and get of at Djurgårdsbron (Djurgården bridge). Or take the museum tram from Norrmalmstorg. On Djurgården you can walk in lovely nature, visit art galleries like Valdemarsudde anTielska galleriet, eat and drink, visit large open air museum Skansen or amusement park Gröna Lund, just by the water. An alternate route is to take a boat from Södermalm (Räntmästartrappan).

Island just some minutes from central Sthlm. Take bus 76 from Södermalm and get of at Djurgårdsbron (Djurgården bridge). Or take the museum tram from Norrmalmstorg. Old Town is Stockholm's medieval city core with houses dating from the 1200s and narrow alleys. Lots of restaurants and bars and of course a lot of touristy shops, but also a lot of nice boutiques and stores selling everything from comic books to wool garments. Västerlånggatan is the most crowded, but Österlånggatan is equally nice and there you'll also find Den Gyldene Freden, a restaurant dating hundreds of years back, owned by the now infamous Swedish Academy.

Swedens national museum containing art and design from the 16th century to our days. Museum was reopened some months ago after a major remake. I actually did interviews for the swedish audio guide, but I'll recommend the english one if you want to learn something!
