Essentials

Bergerac is our local big town, it has everything you need: large supermarkets (Intermarche, Leclerc, Lidl), sports warehouses (Decathlon), Jardiland (everyone's favourite garden centre and cafe). There are also weekday and weekend markets, beautiful architecture in the histrocic centre and boat trips on the Dordogne river. There are plenty of restaurants and it is worth visiting for an afternoon or evening.

Parks & Nature

If you like canoeing then we really recommend visiting here. Even in the height of summer you can have the Dordogne river to yourself - paddle downstream, stop for a swim or a picnic and take in the scenery. Highly recommended.
