Beautiful Riverside Studio/above garage apartment, private, remote, semi-secluded. Located on the Kennebec river. A roomy studio with a view of the Kennebec river, feet from the river's edge. Also close to the Appalachian Trail crossing. Surrounded by woods and bordered by a crystal clear stream. If you're into the outdoors this is the place for you. Hiking, biking, fishing, whitewater rafting right outside your door.
large, airy, bright and comfortable, the perfect place to stage your outdoor activities or just get away
small riverside community, friendly people, surrounded by woods and water
  • Mike and Kim were incredibly kind hosts, and the apartment is super clean and cute. The property is a gorgeous setting right on the Kennebec River -- my husband and I were in town for a wedding so unfortunately didn't have much free time, but would love to come back and stay at this great place and utilize the canoes. October was a stunning time to be there with the foliage. Highly recommend and hope to be back.

  • Perfect spot close to the Appalachian Trail and great hiking. Lots of recreational options around and the host here is very accommodating with providing all you need to take advantage of it!

  • We have stayed in this unit many times and will do so again in the future. Mike and Kim are great hosts and have many personal touches to the unit.

    Patricia2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Not only was Mike’s place clean (and smelled clean!), it was homie (which some Airbnb’s struggle with). Absolutely loved this place. Highly recommend for if you’re rafting the Kennebec or need a peaceful getaway. One big selling point was the AC. Seems like none of the cabins for the rafting companies have them and it really came in clutch. Please please please check out the river even if it’s for 10 minutes. Go down there and just sit by the water, close your eyes and enjoy the silence. It was absolutely beautiful and would go back if we’re ever up that way again. Don’t look past this Airbnb seriously.

  • For a Maine woods experience, this place can’t be beat! A very well stocked, spacious apartment off the beaten path.

    Susan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous place. Their private area on the lake supplied with stand up paddle boards and canoes was the highlight. Everything you could need inside and very comfy king bed. Would love to come again soon!

This small, quaint cabin brings you back to the basics. Not fancy or pretentious, but far more comfy than camping on a cold ground. You'll have what you need, a warm bed, private full bathroom, small fridge, microwave, use of gas grill, campfire pit and all amenities of the sporting camp Pine Grove Lodge.
While here, get outdoors and look for moose and other wildlife, hike to Houston Brook Falls (1/4 mile,) canoe/kayak or use the beach at beautiful Wyman Lake (1 mile,) and relax by your own campfire or visit the communal fire to get to know other guests. Maine Guides are available with services like fishing, fly fishing lessons, canoeing/kayaking, ATVing, private Wyman Lake cruises on a large pontoon boat, and backcountry Jeep 4X4 excursions!
This is a rural area, called Pleasant Ridge Plantation, 4 miles from town, on the edge of complete wilderness but still on pavement. An area rich with logging and sporting camp history, it is a very safe place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery while walking, biking, boating, or even getting into the deep woods on a guided Jeep tour. The town of Bingham has a well-stocked grocery store, Dollar General, 3 gas stations, and a few eatery choices.

The River House is located in downtown West Forks near Berry's Store. Plenty of room for snowmobile trailer parking and a huge backyard right on the Dead River. Intersection of ITS 86 and 87 across the street, easy trail access. Six restaurants within five miles, also accessible by trails. All new bedding, mattresses, appliances, and furniture. Summertime- Close to whitewater rafting, hiking trails, & fishing. Big backyard great for lawn games, fire pit for nightly campfires.
  • You won’t be disappointed! This is a beautiful house perfectly situated to ride the trails! There were 16 of us with a baby and nobody was cramped at all! Everyone was so easy to deal with and very accommodating! We had a great stay!

    Laurie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I recently stayed at the River House while rafting the release on the Dead River for my best friends bachelor party. The house quickly became the center piece of the trip. Its located very close to a lot of rafting companies, there is even a little shop across the street that sells any items that we forgot to bring. The house was very spacious, and allowed us to watch the rise and fall of the river release right out of our window. We even rafted right by the house. I highly recommend this the River House.

    Adrian2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Laura’s home is not only beautiful but in an absolute perfect location. My group was there to raft, hit the local bars and eatery’s and this home is within perfect walking distance to everything we needed. I mean even the take out for the rafting was a 2 min walk down the street to the kennebec! If you haven’t stayed here before, your missing out. The House is within 50’ of the river, a lovely fire pit within 10’, a great porch, plenty of parking and nothing better than the clam movement of water through the river rocks to lull you to sleep at night. So accommodating, so kind, an amazing location in the heart of one of the northeast’s most beautiful, pristine destinations. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed and will wish you never had to leave!

  • The River House is a serene log home right on the river. The house is incredibly comfortable and well set up for families and large groups looking to raft, hike, fish, or just chill by the river. Great location, great home!

  • Awesome place, very close to rafting. Gorgeous views

    Marissa2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of my favorite places to stay. We had a group of 10 and there is plenty of space for everyone. The home was clean and large, plenty of parking for trucks trailers and atvs. Good spot for large groups with 3 private bathrooms. The west forks is one of my favorite places in Maine to go. Grand Falls and Moxie falls are a must see. The are two of Maines Largest waterfalls. (approx 10 minutes to moxie falls) (30 min to grand falls via dirt road) Its also fun seeing the white water rafters float by yard. You can see them from the back deck) There is so much to do in this area. We only stayed 1 night this time but will be booking again next year for a 2-3 nights . Thanks again- the langone Family

  • Great place to stay for snowmobiling , there is a connector trail , a bit rough and over grown but serves its purpose. The club house amenities were all amazing , very clean pool , spa , hot tub , Weight room has all you need for a great workout . Staff was very friendly and helpful . Driveway nice and wide , plenty of parking . Short walk to store if you chose to walk . Cabin was spotless, furniture all in great shape and cozy . Heat works great , gas grill for use , Good water pressure in showers , really everything was really nice . Only thing I found a bit worn is the upstairs bedroom saggy heavy in the middle , overall was a great stay .

Typical 1890s Victorian has character. Modern kitchen & downstairs bath, rest of the house has period details & mix of antiques & newer pieces. Hardwood floors throughout. Comfy beds with plenty of quilts & old-fashioned wool blankets. Old books to peruse or pull out the Scrabble game! Step back into the past - No TV or cable, but there is a flatscreen TV with a good selection of movies. Wifi, too. Ext security cameras. PLEASE NOTE: limited cell phone reception - AT&T & TMobile = NO reception!
This old house is full of character and history. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, yet close to "downtown." I can be your tour guide, as time allows.

  • Baker House B&B was such a great place to stay! Our room was cozy and Diane is so accommodating with anything you may need. All the amenities needed were there for us in our room, and the shared bathroom space. Every space was super clean. In the morning, Diane had breakfast ready with a lovely table set with OJ, coffee, and our choice of banana and walnut pancakes ( she reached out ahead of time to see what we may want - amazing!). Diane also has pictures and knows all the history of the house, and we just loved all the thoughtful touches of keeping the space true to its original look. We just loved our stay at the Baker House B&B!

    Emily2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Diane’s hospitality is unmatched! She brought a warmth with her care and conversation that is much appreciated in the frigid north country. Her 19th century home had all the modern amenities that we could ask for all the while sticking to its rustic character. We used the Baker House as a home base to ski Sugarloaf mountain and hike the Maine Huts and Trails. We would highly recommend location and Diane as a host.

    Brian2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Diane has a wonderful home. She is a great conversationalist and host. She also makes a great breakfast and is open to menu options in case there are dietary needs.

  • A beautiful house and a very nice hostess. For nature lovers, the area is breathtaking, especially in the sunny autumn.

    Abdelmalek2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • We were driving throughQuebec City down to the coast of Maine and needed a place to stop and spend the night. While we were at Diane’s, enjoying her company and the company of some of her young students, my husband became ill. She guided us to the nearest hospital and stayed in touch with us during our hours there. I came back from the hospital to spend the night with her and she made sure I was comfortable and the next morning filled me with outstanding pancakes at her dining room table. She went beyond the usual responsibilities of a hostess. And her accommodations were comfortable.

We had a wet days travel on motorbike thru Maine and so appreciated her warm welcome and accommodation of our needs. We were quite cold and tired when we arrived but soon felt alot warmer and brighter after meeting Louise. Her home was a sweet oasis after a long trip. • Book now for your next family snowmobile trip or lake get-away! Gretchen is great with sharing details, answering questions and providing local suggestions. The cabin was clean and spacious, but cozy and comfortable! The couches and beds are of great quality for resting and sleeping. The cabin is located conveniently by the trail, lake and town. But quiet enough to feel far away. We stayed 7 nights (family of 4) snowmobiling and touring. No regrets from our family!!

    Teri2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful visit at this cabin! Small bit plenty of beds. Loved the gorgeous woodwork. We had everything we needed and the host responded so promptly. Loved how close to town we were! Great stay.

  • What a hidden gem this was. We were looking for a place to sleep up to 8 people in the town of Jackman and was difficult. We found this house and took a chance on it making sense for our group of guys who go hunting every year around Veterans Day. We were 100% satisfied with every detail of the place. We only had 6 guys ultimately show up for the trip and it comfortably held us all. The view out the front windows was stunning looking over Wood Pond. Gretchen's Place is outfitted with canoes, Kayaks, Ice Fishing gear, Snowmobiles; anything you may want, or just relax on the deck with your favorite beverage. Thank you Gretchen for making our annual family hunting trip another success. We'll be back next year!

  • Great location on the lake. The house was clean, and the owners were easy to work with and very responsive to my questions.

    Joanne2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We chose to stay in Jackman because we wanted a “staycation” away from home. What a great time we had just sitting in the beautiful deck listening to the loons and watching the sunsets. A hummingbird flew up and hovered in front of me just checking us out. If you get up early, you can watch the eagles fly from the trees and swoop down onto the lake. There were three sets of binoculars provided which was nice because one person in our party is quickly losing her vision to macular dystrophy. My cousin’s on in law took his 5 year old daughter out in the canoe and she caught her first fish, a bass, that her dad threw back. She was thrilled! And he took his 2 year old out in the kayak. There were life jackets provided but he brought us own for the kids. We just loved stargazing and saw a momma moose with her two babies. We would love to come back to Jackman and relax and get away again and Moose Point would be our FIRST choice. A lovely home. A beautiful view. Great amenities.

    Sue2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great camp with a nice view over the lake. Inside was super clean and had plenty of room for our 2 families on our atv trip. Parking was limited but adequate and the camp is walking distance from town. Overall a great weekend! Owners were super to deal with and extremely accommodating.

    Scott2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice place, we really recommend it! Gretchen's explanations were top! We took a canoe on the lake just in front of the house, we really enjoyed our stay there!

    Celine2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely spot on the lake. Great views of the lake, quiet, and a fantastic spot for our family to use as basecamp while going rafting on the kennebec. Don't hesitate to book. Gretchen was very responsive and the place was spotless. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back! Look for the eagle in the tallest tree by the front door....it was there every morning.

This "honeymoon" cottage is quiet & relaxing. Large bedroom with direct access to the deck overlooking Embden Lake. Rainy days, no problem, sit & relax on the screened in porch. Full kitchen offers everything you need to cook up your favorite meals. There is a sandy beach on the property as well as a dock. Property is offered year round so not only can you enjoy the great Maine summers, but the fall leaf-peeping is spectacular in this area. Not to mention the snowmobiling & ice fishing!
  • Had a great weekend getaway here! Perfect place to feel cozy and right at home. Beautiful cabin right on the lake. Christina was a great host. Highly recommend!

    Michael2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very very nice and it was perfect for our weekend. It was a little hard to find but Christina was responsive and helped us find the right location. The lake was beautiful!

    Rory2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing and worth the money. The waterfront was beutiful and crystal clear. Some small things were wrong but overall it was a great trip and absolutly worth the money spent.

    Andrew2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Christina's cabin/camp was perfect. Quiet and peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake. Great location for some time to relax and recharge. Christina was very responsive to any questions I had. Her listing is spot on accurate. Kitchen had more than enough pots, pans, and appliances. There was ample bedding and linens. Self check in was easy. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

  • Such a cool place to watch the sun pop up over the trees and shine down on the water

    Chantal2018-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy place, loved all the games and movies provided! Great place to stay in and keep warm during the cold weather! Perfect get away!

    Alesha2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was absolutely perfect! It actually started to snow a bit on the Saturday we were there. We brought extra little blankets and enjoyed the nights and watching the snow outside on the screened in porch. I can’t wait to come back!

    Eileen2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for something in between “going up to camp” in Maine (i.e. roughing it with no indoor plumbing) and an overly-luxe quartz-countertop experience then Christina’s rustic cabin is right for you! This lakefront cabin strikes the ideal balance. It’s more spacious than photos allow (good for 2-4 adults) and we visited during peak foliage season. The views were stunning and Christina is a very prompt hostess in her responses. Tip: there’s a cook-your-own lobster/seafood pound less than 15 minutes away called High Tide Low Tide in neighboring Madison, ME. There is also a corner store about 6-minutes down the road for any incidentals you may need including basic groceries and alcohol (they also have a small cafe with fast food, pizza, and coffee). Christina’s cabin has indoor plumbing with hot water, direct lakefront views and access, toaster, toaster oven, working stove/oven, no microwave or grill at the time we visited, yes to an adequate indoor shower, screened-in-porch, TV (no WiFi/cable), plenty of tissues and paper products and soap, some cobwebs and other evidence of nature (not a good match for those who desire white-glove cleanliness; yes a good match for those who want a compromise between ‘roughing it’ and not being able to enjoy a rustic Maine experience due to too many luxe amenities), spectacular views, and a responsive host. Unplug and unwind!

NOW ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS FOR JUNE FOR MAINE RESIDENTS ONLY Riverside condo minutes to Sugarloaf! One-bedroom condo just a few miles from Sugarloaf and the Outdoor Center. Just steps from trails for hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. Also next to a popular restaurant and bar. One note- the cell reception in Carrabassett Valley is not good. That makes it a great place to get away from it all, but not a good place if you need to make important phone calls!!
  • Beautiful little place. Very clean & has basically everything you'll need for a short stay.

    Mindy2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • We were headed up north to enjoy a weekend of skiing at Sugarloaf. The location was great and just 10 minutes away. Easy access to the mountain just turning right out of the driveway and left onto the access road. Aubreys place was easy to access, clean and comfortable. She even left a surprise for us when we got there. This place was perfect for us to ski all day, come back take a quick nap and be ready for dinner and some drinks after. Aubrey directed us to some local establishments that were pleasant and had amazing food. We really liked The Rack BBQ.

    Albert2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was very comfortable, everything I needed and easy proximity to the mountain.

    Caroline2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The condo is in a great spot to access Sugarloaf and the surrounding restaurants and activities. It was very clean, cozy, and perfect to come back to after long days of skiing. Audrey was a very thoughtful host, as well. We had a really lovely weekend in Carrabassett Valley

    Sarah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Audrey's place was exactly as described. Really great and easy location for skiing at Sugarloaf and enjoying the Xcountry and hiking Trails. A real bonus to be next to the great restaurant Tufulios. The condo is simply and nicely furnished and sparkling clean. It was quiet and cozy and warm and plenty of space for two people. Check-in and check-out are super easy, and Audrey responded almost instantly whenever I had a question. Great value. We'll come again.

    Henrietta2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Audrey was quick to respond to all of my texts and messages. She had thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome. The location of her apt is perfect for all year around. We stayed here in the winter and it was about 15 mins away from sugarloaf skiing. We also got our skis tuned up at Happy Tunes which is across the parking lot. I suggest bringing food since Audrey has a full kitchen with a large fridge. She also has an awesome grill. The set up was cozy and warm. I highly recommend her place and having Audrey as a host.

We arrived late and were able to easily check in (keypad lock). The cabin itself is very charming and cozy. Great value for what you get, I would absolutely recommend staying here for your next trip to Maine!

We invite you to experience farm-life up close and personal with a stay in one of the guest rooms in our farmhouse built in 1901! We strive to treat our guests like friends and family when they are here─and nothing makes you feel more at home than good food. I am currently taking extra precautions during the coronavirus. For all bookings, I will block the 3 days before and after your stay. *****Due to the Covid-19 issue, we are only able to book to residents in Maine for the month of June. Once July 1st rolls around any person may stay at our yurt. You may book, but due to the Governors order you may not stay until the designated dates stated above. Thank you for your understanding. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions or concerns.*****
This is not your average bed and breakfast experience at our "yurt and breakfast". If you're not familiar with what yurts are all about, do a quick search to see what you've been missing out on! We offer a unique experience in the mountains-- offering cozy accommodations and a home cooked breakfast, in the perfect location for all the outdoor activities you can dream of. You will have easy access to miles of mountain bike trails, as well as 10 of Maine's 4,000ft mountain peaks. These adventures (and more) are as close as 2 miles from your very own yurt. If you only have time for a short stay, or outdoor adventures aren’t your cup of tea, we have many cozy amenities for a comfortable stay. Our yurt features a brand new Tuft&Needle mattress for snoozing through the breezy Maine afternoons. Just outside the yurt you’ll find a shady outdoor porch swing and scenic overlook. Or, have a game night and take advantage of our board game nook and cornhole set.
We are located in a very quiet area off of Rt 27 in Kingfield.
  • Amazing yurt and airbnb overall! The yurt was cool, stylish and very cozy. Skylight was lovely and clean...great for stargazing. Bed was very comfortable. Electric heater worked great! Very nice little touches like games, local info, tea/coffee and snacks. Breakfest was amazing. Patty and Greg were so nice and welcoming. I would highly recommended to any couple. • This is our second time staying at Lady Slipper. This year we were able to sit around the fire pit, roast marshmallows and view the night sky. The kitchen has the necessary tools to make a decent meal. The shower has good water pressure. The Lady Slipper makes it enjoyable to be in the wilderness of Western Maine’s Kennebec River Valley. This sure beats camping!

    Sharon2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views, beautiful warm and inviting home. Easy communication and check-in/check-out process. We had easy access to whitewater rafting with US Rafting and then checked into the local bar at Marshall Inn. Wonderful weekend and stay!

  • Immaculate house in a quiet, beautiful location. Pleasant Pond is as clean of a lake as you will ever experience. Communication with Christa was easy with very quick responses. We will be returning for sure.

    Robert2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Christa has a real nice spot here. Super quiet area, unbelievably clean/ clear pond, nice fire pit down by the dock. The cabin was clean and well prepared and I would absolutely be interested in going back.

    Nickolas2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, new, spacious, clean and a great view. The water and view were beautiful and the house was a dream.

    Heather2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Christa’s place in West Forks, Maine is very nice. Lady Slipper has comfy beds, beautiful stars on a clear night, live loon music every night and refreshing waters. I appreciate how much the Pleasant Pond community cares about the well-being of this special place. Here you can expect a warm shower, the ability to cook up a gourmet meal and get a good night’s sleep after hiking Moxie Falls or a strech of the world famous Appalachian Trail. We made memories with our family and friends who visited us at Lady Slipper.

Quiet solitude is what you will find here. Tucked away from the road, this site is quite private and yet easily accessible. You may see the occasional walker and ATV go by, but all access is by permission only.
The site is located only a couple miles from downtown Bingham. Our little town is centrally located to many western Maine attractions. Within a 10 minute drive you can reach Houston Brook falls, a public boat ramp onto the Kennebec river and two boat landings for Wyman lake. Jackman and Greenville are about an hour away. It's a beautiful drive over to Flagstaff and the Rangeley lakes area. About 20 minutes to an Appalachian trail outlet. Perfect for fishing, boating, hiking, ATV and white water rafting.

Antiques abound in this 1890s home. Beautiful mature maple trees in front yard, sunny backyard. Welcoming old friends and new! Guests are encouraged to explore the house and the neighborhood. Great place to relax, but also fantastic hub for enthusiasts of all seasons! Ext security cameras. Out the door access to ITS-87, short drive to water-water rafting outfits, and Appalachian Trail. Please note that there is NO cell coverage for AT&T or T-Mobile users, and limited coverage for Verizon users.
No frills here - no cable, no spa, no pool. Just an old-fashioned home with a few modern touches. Yes, there is a big screen television with many movie choices, and there is wifi. PLEASE NOTE: Limited cell phone coverage in this area: AT&T & T-Mobile = NO reception; : Verizon = spotty reception; US Cellular good reception.
Quiet residential neighborhood, yet one block away from Main Street. Library and restaurant withing walking distance, nice municipal park with basketball and tennis courts three blocks away.
  • Diane is a wonderful host! There’s so much history behind her house and I’m so thankful that she was down to talk about it. It also doesn’t hurt that she has the cutest cats 😺

  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Baker House. The location enabled my husband to section hike on the AT. We found Diane's place very homey and comfortable. She encouraged us to feel free to use all of the house. We thought the bed was comfortable, and enjoyed the deep bathtub. The bath is shared but we were the only guests . Whole grain blueberry pancakes were kept warm for us for breakfast...a nice treat. We enjoyed meeting Diane...she is very accommodating.

The Kennebec Valley is a beautiful area of Maine. It is a true four season recreational area. I am within driving distance to Sugarloaf Mt for skiing. The area has many trails for ATV's, snowmobiles and hiking. There are several companies that offer whitewater rafting.

  • The Pink Lady is a cute cottage right on the Moose River. It's a nice location and everything is as pictured, nice and clean and comfy. Betty is such an attentive host, and has all sorts of information for your travels. We hiked Moxie Falls, & Little Kineo Mountain while there. There are so many hiking trails, we need to return to get some more hikes in. Its an easy 2 hour drive to Quebec for the day! Thank you Betty, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

  • The stay here was fantastic! The location was very quiet and peaceful on a picturesque river. The fish were biting and every star was out at night. Straight access to everything you may need or want including hiking, fishing, boating, and exploring. Betty was the perfect hostess and I look forward to our next opportunity to escape there again.

  • This is a great getaway for those who truly want the best of Maine- peace, quiet, and lots of wildlife! I spotted a moose on my morning walk down the street, and also saw lots of birds and other critters. House was comfortable and was everything we needed for a comfortable stay in the woods. Would book again next time we are planning a trip to the great North!

Misty Morning Cottages is directly on Moosehead Lake with amazing views of Mt. Kineo, the Spencer Mountains and much more! Our location is one of the best fishing destinations for both open water and ice fishing seasons because each of our cottages are just steps away from Moosehead Lake!
Cottage six offers a cozy and comfortable, studio-style living space. Everything you need is at your fingertips. This area is outfitted with a double bed, a fully equipped kitchenette and a private bathroom with a standup shower. Our heat source is a thermostatically controlled propane monitor heater.
Moosehead Lake is the largest lake located in one state this side of the Mississippi! During your stay with us we encourage you to explore as much of the 100 sq. mile lake as you possibly can! If you're patient and keep your eyes peeled you're likely to sneak a peek (or a photograph if you're lucky!) of a Moose, Deer, Loons, Bald Eagles and Otters while you're here!
  • Wonderful cabin literally on the water. My husband and I stayed there for a few days in October to get back to our home state and enjoy the foliage, bird hunt, and cook our favorite unhealthy foods. The cabin was very cozy and warm. The bed was comfortable. The stove /oven was brand new and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals. The shower was small and old but it’s a camp and the good water pressure and temperature made up for it. Misty was very welcoming, came right out when we pulled in. She was very flexible about check in, much more so than other AirBnB hosts who require very specific check in times. She even gave us a map of local hiking trails. Otherwise gave us our space ! The cabin is right by the road in the back but you don’t hear any traffic. Really wanted to use the campfire and picnic table but it was raining. Would definitely stay here again!

    Jennifer2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Misty and Joe were great hosts and so easy to talk to. They were very knowledgeable about the area and always offered great advice about hiking and things to see. The cabin was very clean and exactly as advertised.

    Carolyn2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • We so enjoyed out 3 nights in #6 - a studio cabin, just big enough for the two of us. Very cozy and private - we were at the end of the row. Loved the view, and sitting out on the deck hearing the ripple of the water. Misty was very vivacious and friendly, and there when we needed her. Love the ducks, too! It was great to explore a different part of Mooshead Lake, the Rockwood area.

  • The place its outstanding, there is a few cottages there, parking right in front of your cottage. Great view, within minutes from gas station/ convince store, snowmobile rentals and fishing. We didn’t fish but we had a blast snowmobiling. There is hundreds of miles snowmobile trails in the area. The cottage itself has all the necessary items. Joe is great, very friendly and he is happy to explain what’s what in the area. I would definitely recommend this place.

  • Stayed for a snowmobile weekend, very nice place. The hosts were great .

    John2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé and I stayed the weekend to tour the area for potential wedding spots. We were accompanied by our 4-month-old daughter and we had such a great time. We were there just before peak foliage and the view of the lake against the turning leaves was absolutely gorgeous. Both the cottage and the property were clean, peaceful and everything was just perfect. Cyndee and Pete were some of the nicest, most accommodating hosts I've stayed with. Highly recommended!

    Amy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

  • Such a cute place. Cyndee and Pete are amazing hosts.

    Ashley2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful little spot, right on the water, you couldn't ask for much better access to the lake. The right balance of privacy, but with friendly hosts to sit and talk about the day with as the sun goes down. Lovely hosts, lovely place.

    Tom2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our very cozy chalet and the beautiful view of Wyman Lake. Cyndee and Pete are great hosts and we enjoyed them.

    Rebecca2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our time at Cyndee's cabin. Cyndee and her husband Pete were so friendly, hospitable, and made sure we had a great time. The cabin was roomy, well-stocked, and comfortable. The property was beautiful with great outdoor fireplaces, a big dock, and a special point overlooking the lake where we had coffee every morning. We used Cyndee's one kayak and brought a kayak and spent every day paddling the 13 mile lake. We saw eagles and loons on the lake and searched for moose sightings. There are amazing hikes nearby and numerous waterfalls. We have never stayed quite this far north in Maine and we loved how different and quiet it is compared to central Maine. I would highly recommend staying in one of the two cabins.

It was incredibly cute and had a plethora of amenities including DVDs (huge selection), board games, plenty of towels and blankets, a kitchen with pretty much everything you could need, and more. We cooked some of our own meals and watched movies after a long day on the slopes. For the value we paid, this place was top notch. If I every return to Sugarloaf, I would love to stay here again. Check in was super simple and it’s easy to find. April was also great and communicative.

  • I visited alone at night before going to sugarloaf to snowboard. Diane was a wonderful host with a smiling warm welcome and very thorough in her hospitality. The neighborhood is right off the main road in town and quiet/ safe. Her house has lots of space and is very homey, typical New England style. It is a little cold at night but not bad with blankets. I woke up to the amazing smell of pancakes which were wheat, blueberry and very yummy! Coffee and tea also provided. Great place to stay if skiing at Sugarloaf, not a bad drive between. Helpful and clear house info provided and a whole pamphlet Diane has made with lots of info about what the area has to offer! Wifi is good in the rooms (I was able to stream without a problem). I highly recommend staying with Diane! :)

  • Breakfast was delicious and the bathtub was heavenly and exceeded all expectations, hopes and dreams. I slept like a rock! Very hard to get out of bed in the morning! The kitties were fun and entertaining and Diane’s hospitality and conversation were 2nd to none.

  • The place was easy to find. The room was clean and comfortable. A real feel of an old-style home makes it even more unique. There's a cute cat to welcome you who is really social. :) Diane is a perfect host and those Pancakes in the morning are just the things you want on a cold morning. Thanks Diane. Would surely stay here again !!

  • Diane was the best host you could ask for. Helpful and friendly. Respectful of privacy but there to chat about photography and sightseeing when I was free. Delicious pancakes. And her home was absolute lovely. So much attention to detail in the decor!

  • We, the whole group really loved the place. The house was really nice and clean with a whole lot of collectibles. Diane was really warm to welcome us in. We did rafting with the Northern Outdoors at the Kennebec River and it’s just 20 mins away from her place. Have a warm stay at The Bakers House. And don’t miss her pan cakes with for the morning breakfast.

  • I stayed with Diane for 12 weeks and let me tell you, this is a great place to stay. She is a wonderful host. Her house is incredibly clean, she is incredibly awesome to be around. She will happily show you the area if you are interested, will play scrabble with you, and makes wonderful breakfast. I can't recommend her or her home enough. She was always incredibly respectful of space and has a beautiful home to lounge around in or watch the storms on the deck. Thank you for such an amazing summer Diane and I will be staying here whenever I am back in the area.

  • Great, cheap place to stay somewhat close to Sugarloaf. Would recommend Thomsons for breakfast if you grab a bight to eat.
