A holiday cottage just a few minutes off the Pacific high way. Nestled on the Northern "Quiet Side" of Port Stephens NSW it is great boating, fishing, crabbing, collecting wild oysters. This small holiday Village has a swimming pool, two tennis courts, and a small 5 hole golf course. Best of all its secluded and absolutely wonderful for kids! Great for de-stress!
This is a place for those who want to "get away from it all" secluded and peaceful yet close enough to amenities. Excellent for those with children of any age as plenty of safe playing areas. Plenty of amenities for teenagers too! Close enough to travel to the Hunter`s vineyards or Nelson Bay for a day excursion, and also Tea gardens beautiful Beaches ( try Jimmy`s Beach) some with 4wd access are only 25mins away.All weather boat ramp at near by Karuah giving you access to Port Stephens and Myall lakes. Light tackle fishing for Mullet and Bream is possible just 30 meters from your door! The area is quite tidal so kids love to catch mud crabs and adults fossick for wild oysters which are abundant. Good shoes though are a must! Probably among the best possible places to stay if you are convalescing from a illness or you you just want a break from the " rat race". Beautiful salt air breezes each afternoon in summer are truly invigorating and quiet romantic strolls on acres of mowed green grass is great for any age. For the very fit there are many off road bush bicycle tracks into near by forests. Its possible to canoe or paddle up the river for for many Kms and if you wish drift back with the tides. The other direction you have full access all the way to Nelsons Bay by boat but that's another story. Do not book if you love the night life! Its not that sort of place its a great place to take someone special! HAPPY DAYS!
Very quiet most of the year even during peak holiday periods. Nothing ever gets hectic here. These are holiday only units so usually owners or guests.

    Stay in an old fisherman's cottage with car port located in a secluded, tranquil setting just 24 minutes north of Raymond Terrace and 19 mins from the tidy town of Karuah. It is also just 30 minutes to Newcastle Airport. Tea Gardens, gateway to the Myall Lakes, is 33 minutes away. Plenty to explore in the surrounding area - beaches, fishing. Historic Morpeth is a 40 minute drive. This place is for resting and recharging your “batteries”!
    There are joint amenities that include a swimming pool and a double tennis court that guests can use. Bird life and bright stars at night are a bonus. Great for walks, cycling on bush tracks and road cycling, if you enjoy the outdoor life and are keen to explore the serene surroundings. Beaches are nearby – some require 4WD to access. Fishing is popular in the area – from shore and boat. Enjoy and relax with a wine or beer on the open verandah in the wicker chairs with the gentle afternoon breezes. Sample local oysters and free range eggs that may be ordered from a local producer.
    Karuah has a bottle shop, coffee, groceries and fuel. Larger shopping centres are found in Raymond Terrace and Tea Gardens.

  • We absolutely LOVED our stay for a week at Bella Luca! The house is gorgeous and the location is perfect! Checking in and out couldn’t be easier and the map on the fridge is super helpful! The house was clean and secure, lounges and beds super comfy and the kitchen had everything you’d need! The dogs absolutely loved the secure fencing and spacious yard - as well as the local dog beaches so close by! We loved the nice peaceful and safe feeling neighbourhood! We had a lovely relaxing time and your place is so cute and homely as well! It has everything we’d ever need and so much more - we couldn’t speak more highly about our experience at your wonderful home. We are already planning our next relaxing break in the coming months! Very comfortable and homely, our dog loved exploring the full enclosed garden, and a pleasant 5 minute walk to dog friendly beach was great. Lovely outdoor area with BBQ and indoor areas to sit back and relax. Everything you need for a great holiday! We would definitely love to visit again and would highly recommend Bella Luca to our family and friends.

  • Bella Luca was better than we expected. The photos on the listing made it look beautiful but couldn't possibly convey the tranquillity, the ambience of the house or the serenity of the area. Our dog loved the yard, and it was a pleasure to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner on the deck. Close to beautiful beaches and walks. Clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen for cooking at home. The lovely ladies at Tea Garden's Real Estate were friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

  • Great apartment with amazing views. Loved the beach, was perfect for our 2 year old. The block has three other apartments in it but they were all empty apart from the one next to us. The only small negative is that you have to walk across everybody else’s balcony to access the apartment which can be a bit awkward if people are sat out but apart from that, really can’t fault this place, would definitely recommend

  • This was a great unit to stay in with my 3 boys and husband. It was in a great location, easy walk to town and the bay. Although the apartment block itself is old they have renovated the inside beautifully and with quality appliances like Bosch. The pool in the complex was also great.

  • I booked this apartment for my parents-in-law for their 70th birthday visit to our home town. Their stay was perfect. The hosts have thought of everything! Appliances and furniture are modern, slick and clean. We didn’t need them, but there are also great games and even a small table for children. There is also a lovely view out to the bay. Only a small downside- overall the apartment building is a bit run-down and could do with a facelift.

    Very quiet area and close to all necessary amenities. Medowie is situated approximately 40 minutes drive to Newcastle CBD, 30 minutes drive to Nelson Bay and about an hours drive to the Hunter Valley. We are only a 10 minutes drive to the highway and Newcastle (Williamtown) Airport. Our local shops offer two supermarkets, ATM's, post office, bottle shops and numerous restaurants. Pacific Dunes Golf Course is a 5 minute drive away or you could drive a further 5 minutes and visit Fighter World.

  • So homey!!! King bed was incredibly comfortable. Block-out curtains kept the bedroom dark in the mornings. The bathroom was modern and clean. The kitchen amenities were convenient. The knives were sharp too which was a pleasant surprise :) Having Netflix and Wi-Fi available was great for a night in. If you want to stay here with your fur baby, there's plenty of space for them to roam around and even a doggy door downstairs. Neighbours were very friendly and down to Earth. There was an interrupted water view on the balcony and it's only a short walk to the beach. We loved our stay and would gladly stay again!

    Overlooking beautiful Shoal Bay, this north west facing apartment has panoramic views from the mountains to the sea. The unit comprises a combined bedroom (with queen size bed) and living area which opens onto a private balcony. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, stove/oven and microwave. The large bathroom has a long basin mirror, hairdryer and a deep bath with overhead shower. There is an undercover car space below the unit and a communal laundry located on a lower floor.
    All bed sheets, pillow slips, soap, face cloths, bath and beach towels are provided. A continental breakfast is available with coffee, tea, orange juice, milk, bread, jams and cereal.
    An IGA supermarket, chemist and newsagent are right below the apartment. Cellarbrations liquor store, restaurants and Shoal Bay Country Club are one minute away.   • The Coastal Apartment is very much fitted out as a cool 'beach' style home. It is very comfortable with a kitchen if you don't want to eat out, large TV for evenings on and a large shower room. There is even a courtyard garden and mango tree (a first for Brits who only see chilled mango from Peru at home!). Theresa and Terry are perfect hosts who make you welcome, are there if you need local advice but also provide you with privacy. There are walks to beautiful (and deserted at this time of year) sandy beaches. Fingal Bay has an excellent cafe, a wider choice just down the road at Shoal Bay. The location is so peaceful, enjoy!

Very home like, clean and comfortable apartment with access to a lot of amenities. Made our trip to Nelson Bay better than you can imagine as made access for my Mum so much easier.   • Accommodation is of a very high standard , comfortable, homely even so in no way “sterile”. Everything needed for a pleasant stay is there in a most attractive setting. The interior has a slightly funky nature which adds to the character in a positive way. Communication with the host is fuss free, Linda responds quickly and from responses in the guest book this is quite the norm. Overall staying here was a restful and enjoyable experience and one we would thoroughly recommend to others.
