We only stayed one night but had an amazing time. The pictures don't do it justice. The location is paradise. The host family were lovely and welcoming. We were given great local tips and restaurant recommendations. We were also able to hang around after check out as we were heading home and had a late flight. Fully recommended!

Mamadou's house has an exceptional location, a little paradise to enjoy the beautiful beach of La Somone. Everything was in accordance with the description. The welcome of Mamadou and M tipper caring for us and who cooks divinely well. We will come back.

Ideally located in La Somone, by the sea, the house is very nice with its small, peaceful garden. Good welcome from the caretaker and the cleaning lady. The house was clean. We asked the cook for 2 Senegalese dishes it was a treat! Our host also recommended a hostel next door where we went for an aperitif, very nice! Good exchange to communicate, reactive. We spent 2 pleasant days and 2 nights, we will return one day.

Mamadou’s place was the perfect place for an escape and I couldn’t have gotten a warmer welcome. The caretaker is very thoughtful and made sure we had everything we needed. The place is by the beach meaning you fall asleep to the sounds of the waves yet the amenities are not too far for those wanting to visit somone. I definitely recommend it and cannot wait to return for another getaway!

Sylvain's villa is well located and properly equipped. He was reachable and available during our communications. Sheikh's presence is reassuring (for a mother traveling alone with children), practical and useful. The sea is close to the lagoon. There are other sea areas nearby too. Activities nearby are varied: quad biking, fishing, walk on the mangrove, restaurant (local to tourist), entertainment for ts tastes. Great family stay

Agnes is wonderful! The room is very basic, but clean and well located, just steps from the beach. She advised us well and she accompanied us in places not too touristy and beautiful. A stay beyond my expectations! I highly recommend Agnes!

We loved our family vacation at this Villa. Everything was clean. The guardian was helpful but also gave us our privacy. It was only a 5-10 minute drive from the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils, nothing was lacking. The area is quiet. If you want to be right in the middle of all the restaurants and touristy stuff, this isn't the place for you. But if you want to be in a calm neighborhood that isn't far from all those things, then it's perfect.

We had a great weekend here and would definitely consider coming back again. There were a few minor problems (missing mosquito net, a little confusion about the arrival time...), but nothing that stopped us from thoroughly enjoying this beautiful villa. The kitchen is well equipped and the location is excellent - calm yet not far away from the beach, shops etc.

Spent an amazing weekend with my wife and kids at Villa Victoria. The place is very quiet away from Somone main road but still very accessible. We particularly loved the veranda and the little but very clean swimming pool. Will happily return to this place with family and friends.

Wow! Superb holiday with Karine. Third consecutive stay in Senegal and in particular in Somone (if you decide to spend your holidays on Petite Côtes it is really Somone that you have to choose for its authenticity, its inhabitants, its seaside and especially its Lagoon, the list could go on ...) When we arrived at the airport, Babacar came to pick us up and introduced us to the house. Babacar was perfect throughout our stay, very discreet and very efficient in responding to our requests and solving small technical problems in record time. The house is perfectly located in Somone, both very quiet, close to shops and close to the Lagoon. We found a perfectly clean house. The housekeeper, Rose comes several times during the stay, what can I say: beyond our expectations; nickel house, linen washed. Rose is adorable. The pool is cleaned every 2 days, the water was perfectly clean, the children took advantage of it several times a day (and so did we) in this very hot December: 37 ° C. The house looks exactly as pictured. It is in a fantastic location near the beach and close to town.

We spent a very pleasant month in Guy and Amy's house. Everything was there to make it a success: the comfort of the house, the flowered garden with a multitude of birds, the proximity to the lagoon and local taxis, among others. Before arriving in Senegal, we asked Guy and Amy a host of questions, which always answered us quickly and pleasantly. We particularly appreciated the kindness of the housekeepers, Kabirou and Nogaye, always smiling, ready to help. Throughout our stay, Kabirou gave us a lot of useful information. They greatly contributed to the success of our vacation and we thank them wholeheartedly! On request and for an extremely reasonable price, Nogaye very carefully prepared very tasty dishes! We really enjoyed ourselves and recommend, in particular, the cameron rice, monkfish kebabs, king prawns, chicken ... fish dishes, among others, we really liked. Over the month, we had great moments of sharing with them. From the tourist point of view, we appreciated the kindness and the sense of communication of the Senegalese. We visited the shellfish island, the largest baobab in Senegal, the Bandia reserve and the lagoon in a dugout canoe. All of these getaways have pleased and taught us a lot. We come back to Belgium with a lot of good memories!

Exceptional welcome by René and Yvonne. They put us at ease quickly and gave us their good addresses. René arranged all the visits with us when we arrived. Their friend and driver Manou greatly facilitated our trip. A word on the rental: The apartment is on the ground floor of the house. Each room has its bathroom which is very convenient. Unlike other reviews, the presence of the owners upstairs did not bother us at all. We will not hesitate to return to René and Yvonne if the opportunity arises, it is really a good address.

Certainly you will be able to find larger villas, more modern, by the sea ... but none equal Villa Marjolaine: very well equipped, ingenious, tastefully decorated but especially excessively charming. Special mention for the reception, security and sublime pool with jacuzzi. Go there with your eyes closed!

We have returned from Villa Marjolaine where we spent 10 days. Nothing to complain about everything was perfect: villa well placed, nice and functional. The pool in the sun all day and jacuzzi top. We had a wonderful stay at Florence´s place and enjoyed our time there. She gave us a lot of useful tips concerning shops, restaurants and free time activities nearby. From the living room you have an amazing view of the sea (perfect for watching sunsets) which is only an one-minute-walk away. The kitchen provides everything you need to prepare simple meals! Also, the communication with Florence was were easy and uncomplicated, the housekeeping staff was very friendly and concerned. The furniture in the bedroom was very new and stylish. All in all a place to feel comfortable - we would definetly come back!!

Our stay was perfect! The house is top notch, nothing is missing. The pool is perfect, the house is clean and very comfortable! Located in 1 quiet street but very close to everything (walking access to shops, market and the lagoon). Moussa goes out of her way to be happy with our stay. A small problem with the pool that got a little cloudy with the heat, problem resolved within 30 min. It's reactivity. He gave us contacts for excursions, took care of everything !!! And thank you to Marie for her good dishes which I can't wait to redo in France! A house that is super well equipped. With children it was great. Somone is 1 village at the same time tourist (one finds the essential there) at the same time far from the completely artificial clubs. We stay in Africa. Communication with Sandrine, Hervé and Moussa is super easy, I wholeheartedly advise! Not too much though, I would like the house to be free for us when we decide to come back! ;-)

Very pleasant family stay! The house is very clean and ideally located and we were able to do many things on foot. Moussa was very reactive. If you come during the winter remember to ask that the swimming pool be heated before your arrival!

We all greatly enjoyed our stay in your beautifully located and maintained house, particularly the garden and the large terrace. The house is very nice, quiet, well equipped and shaded which is very nice for the pool. The beauty of the terrace with the baobab in the course that gives shade to the pool is superb. We had a great stay in your house all equipment is at the top: fridge on battery for cuts, many dishes and kitchen equipment, mosquito nets on each door and windows which is very significant in this season, air conditioners and fans, mosquito nets for the beds very well suited for comfort. Close to everything: grocery store, lagoon, restaurant etc. Obviously we recommend.

We had a great stay in Hervé's house in Somone. The house is functional, well organized and well equipped. The pool is nice and the terrace is comfortable. The house is very well located, close to the lagoon and the center of Somone. The process for arrival and departure was very simple, communication with Moussa very easy. Many mosquitoes on the property (we were in the rainy season), we must equip ourselves with repellent!

Very clean and comfortable house with European standard located in the heart of the district about 300 meters from the main road that connects Ngaparou to the lagoon of Somone. Cleaning done daily by 2 girls discreet and effective. Allow 10 to 20 minutes of walking for the market (fairly basic) of Somone. We had 6 days of rest and recommend this place.

Ti-Soleil, a pretty house in the heart of the small village of Somone, it is certainly a few hundred meters to reach a magnificent beach, but this route will make you meet beautiful people, the couturier, the brave masons, the artists in iron processing, small grocers ... in short, the REAL life. Why "Ti-Soleil"? the name is pretty but as soon as you cross the portal, you will meet the little sun "FATOU" which will illuminate your stay. This "pretty little piece of woman" is a real pearl that will watch over your well-being with great sweetness. She is absolutely trustworthy, and she is also an excellent cook who will make you travel with her African cuisine. We wish we could bring her back with us ... and the "goodbyes" were not without the last sharing of a few tears. Thank you Fatou. You will also meet Sadji, Fabineta's right hand man. Sadji is a very nice person, warm, attentive and able to solve any of your problems at any time. If you want to explore the region safely, I still recommend Sadji and also Masse, they are very beautiful people. To conclude : Thank you Fabineta, THANK YOU FATOU, thank you Sadji, thank you Masse and ... THANK YOU SENEGAL for making us live such strong moments. We almost forgot that our heart was not made to live BUT ALSO TO LOVE.

I had a perfect stay at Fabineta. The accommodation is spacious, clean with its elegant pool. The kitchen is clean and full of utensils. The rooms are large, equipped and air conditioned. I will say that I was in a little corner in paradise. A nod to Fatou, for her hospitality and availability. I recommend 200% this villa paradise. See you soon.

House in Somone a few hundred meters from the sea where we went every day on foot (we enjoy the restaurant and chairs of the hotel restaurant Africa 6) The house has 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms and 3 toilets, fully ventilated and air conditioned. Beautiful terrace by the pool, always well maintained by Saji, the right arm of the hostess. He is kind and extremely competent. We also enjoyed Fatou, always smiling and available, who concocted us good Senegalese dishes. We had a great 15 day stay in this house, ideal for us and our son. This is an amazing deal compared to what you pay for. When we booked it, we were nervous of how it’s going to look like considering how much we paid for it but guys, it so great! The pool is nice, tidy and well maintained, the staff are great and friendly. The resident is at a great location, close to the beach and many restaurants. We also felt safe and secured throughout our stay.

The accommodation is clean well located not far from the city with these shops taxis and others, while being quiet with the only sound of birds. You feel like you're alone, and Philippe is not far off if you need something or the guardian. You can go there with your eyes closed, you will not regret absolutely.

Amazing quiet place great for relax. Just trees, swimming, rabbits...the swimming pool is huge and great. Garden is fabulous and accomodation is amazing. Also possible to arrange airport pickup . Ocean is very close. Shop around the corner. Best place!

We had a very good stay in Philippe's studio. The cleanliness, the calm, the beautiful pool, the beautiful garden, were really what marked us the most! Gabriel, the keeper was very available. We were a little lost and arrived later than expected but he was there to guide us to the house. Too bad there is no generator. I highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed!

Our stay at Dominique’s place was simply amazing, the garden has mango trees, the pool is gorgeous and very refreshing. This rural area is perfect for the needs of calmness and peace. Big thumbs up for Ismael the watchman, he is really helpful and always has a smile on his face. Thanks to him we had an awesome time at the lagoon of Somone, well organized, fair prices and simply beautiful. I definitely recommend !

What more, a beautiful place away from the excitement of the small town, but at the same time close to everything. The ideal house to spend a few days away from everything.

Very nice trip in a beautiful villa

A warm welcome from the proprietor and his partner to a bijou residence just 50 yards or so from the beach and the ocean with an outdoor terrace ideal for breakfast. Proprietor lives in adjoining residence and was very helpful (local knowledge), making sure everything ran smoothly and very hospitable.

Quality price very well .. a beautiful swimming pool and the apartment for 2 people is very good .. it is small but well .. with enough utensils in case you want to do something simple. Only problem at night there are some small cockroaches that give a little from yuyu ... we notified Binta and she brought us insecticide very quickly ... she was always very attentive ...

I arrived at Rosa's house as soon as I arrived in Senegal, on my first visit to this country. Mbour is a beautiful town, full of hospitable and friendly people like Rosa! We stayed with our family for two nights at Pat and Sophie's, they were very responsive, gave us good addresses and on the spot everything went well with the caretaker. The swimming pool and the garden are very pleasant to rest. Important to know you need a car to get to the accommodation from the somone otherwise the road is a bit long and you must bring the basic cooking elements: sponge, dish soap, olive oil, vinegar etc.

We had an absolutely great stay with Christine and Lamine who are in fact the occupants of this pretty house. They also have a very nice little restaurant next to the market where the food is delicious at an unbeatable price.
