If you are looking for a larger shopping center than are e.g. Gorredijk (known from Rinsma fashion square) Sportstad /Thialf Heerenveen, Drachten, Leeuwarden, and Sneek are also great to drive.

Here in quiet Frisian Rohel you can really be outside, feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your skin. Cycling and hiking along the meadows and (cold) swimming in the Tjeukemeer. Drink a glass of wine on the terrace on the water, with the view of infinity, under the old fruit trees in the garden. Apart from the sounds of birds, the rustling of the wind and in the distance a tractor, you don't hear anything at all here. With views through the large windows, on the deer in the meadow and the setting sun.
