A beautiful home Maureen & Hugh have got on Charles street, the check in was very thorough through the house made sure we knew where everything was. My partner had an accident on her knee which Maureen & Hugh kindly picked me up to get the car late evening and drive back to hospital as I wasn’t sure where it was which was great. They were friendly and polite towards us. We felt towards the end asking to extend our stay 3 times with not a definitive answer given back that we had to leave as we had no where else to go. That was the only negative we could say. Apart from that beautiful house and a nice stay. Good Hosts.

This is a well set-up house hosting multiple guests. It's a big house so there's plenty of space and the hosts leave you to do your own thing. There's a nice kitchen with plenty of storage which is really well organised so everyone knows where to put their things. Really enjoyed my stay!

Maureen’s place is huge / great for long stays also - common spaces are clean, practical and cosy (kitchen with cooking ustensiles and basics, living room with TV and Netflix, terrace..) My room was upstairs and the bed was so soft. Could have spend my day in it. It is close to the city but better have a car. Parking spot on site. Fans and AC everywhere and silent enough to leave it at night. Very practical for me to visit Magnetic island. Would totally recommend the place. Maureen is a very thoughtful host and shows you all the key thinks of her place.

Recency the great hosts, the location was perfect for us visiting family and Bushland beach, and the accommodation is lovely. I recommend them highly!

We felt very lucky to find this beautiful little apartment. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we could have hoped for, and more! We enjoyed making dinners in the full kitchen and using the plunge pool a couple times. It was quiet and relaxing and just what we needed. Sue and Bruce were very nice.

Sue and Bruce are really lovely people and have a beautiful home. The flat is brand new, perfectly clean, a great sized space with all the amenities and comforts you could need. So nice to come in on a hot day and find drinks and some choccies in the fridge!! The pool is right out by the door as well which is great! Loved our stay and will definately be back.

I had a great stay at Tanya’s place, everything was great and they were really nice and gave me good tips about the area.

Just stayed overnight but hopefully if travelling through for work in the future I wouldn't hesitate to see if Tanya has a spare bed as it was a good night's rest on a very comfortable bed and a spotless house with friendly hosts what more could you ask for

Hey travellers, if you're coming to Townsville be sure to stay here. The Airbnb guests have a separate wing with common room and TV, bathroom and toilet, everything is very clean, the bed is very comfortable. There is a guest fridge with storage space in the kitchen, easy access to the laundry. Tanya and Carolyn are easy going and open for a chat if you're in a chatty disposition. Otherwise the separate wing gives you plenty of privacy. Highly recommended.

Good accommodation in a beautiful location, great for a longer time to stay. Because Corona had to stay longer which was fantastic solved by JJ and staying longer was no problem.

Second time staying with Juan Jose who is a wonderful host and personally helped me on several occasions to ensure I had a great stay and everything I needed. The place was perfectly clean and had everything I needed. The two dogs are hilarious, and can bark at night from time to time but that didn't really bother me. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

From the moment I arrived at Glen's I felt right at home. Glen is such an amazing host, very kind, thoughtful and generous. It was great to chat with him and his other guests over a game of pool. The house itself is very spacious, clean and has a very comfortable bed. A very relaxing place to stay. The shipping container offers basic amenities, but is nicely decorated and furnished. The outdoor shower is private, has a natural feel, and decent hot water. The area that Himali's place is located in is quiet and peaceful, and easy to drive to/from other locations on Magnetic Island. Look for the Thai restaurant hidden one street away.

The space is really interesting and cool, with nice stylish touches. They were lovely hosts and the communication was excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Himali's place is great value. Little bit of a walk from the ferry ( easier to catch the bus, we found out the hard way!) Walkable to many eateries, and in a quiet location. Place is small as expected, but for two people there was ample space. Its a unique experience, and great value for money!

I can’t recommend a stay here highly enough if you like unique, island-style stays! The Sea-Green cabin is so well set up and very thoughtfully designated to make the most of the space. The outside shower is a slice of heaven, and the deck to relax on of a warm evening is lovely. The cabin had everything we needed to cook and is less than a minute from the nearest bus stop for easy transport to the ferry. Himali is a wonderful host and has styled the space beautifully, was super responsive and was even kind enough to let us check in early so we could leave our heavy bags for the day to explore the island.

This converted shipping container is adorable and located so close to the beach. While it was very hot while we stayed, the place was able to be kept reasonably cool thanks to the fans and large door out to the shower (so refreshing). There was ample information available about where to go and what to do and the hosts were very knowledgeable and welcoming. We even got a visit from a friendly possum who decided to snooze under the shade of the roofing. Overall, a lovely stay, perfect in a cooler month.

A great location, really enjoyed walks through Riverway park and nearby shopping centre. The kids (and parents!) loved the pool to help settle into life in the tropics. Would stay again.

During our week stay in Condon, Townsville we had a great stay and great weather. The pool came in very high on our list and we enjoyed it to the max. The city has lots to see and fantastic shopping centres. The section of the house we had was well appointed with everything we needed just remember to bring your own hair drier. The location suited us well as our son was doing a week long intensive third year course at the university while we holidayed All in all the accomodation was clean, ample and affordable.

Tanya's place was excellent. Tanya and Kaz are great, the place is clean and tidy, they have lots of local tips and their dogs are super sweet. The guest section of the house is slightly separated so you can have your own space if you want. If I come back to Townsville I'll defiently be trying to stay here again.

For us this AirBnb was the best we could have imagined within our isolation time. Already on our arrival we felt welcome by the welcome sign on our room door. Glen and his roommates never failed to welcome us at any time!: we enjoyed the evenings together very much, we cooked and ate together, watched movies together, had great conversations and sometimes just enjoyed the music. Glen is a super host in our eyes and has always delighted us with little things and thus let us participate in his life. We were provided with everything we needed. We could write so much more about Glen taking care of us, giving us little gifts, helping us out in every situation, but we suggest you should meet him on your own and you’ll see what we’re talking about! It was a great time and we will miss Glen very much and plan to visit him again soon, because Super-Host became Super-Friend!

Great laidback FNQ atmosphere. Chill out under the back verandah, watching a movie on the big screen tv, having a drink and chin wag with Glen and house mates. I had to attend JCU Uni early and I even messed up the final day of my booking. Glen took it all in his stride, fixed the lot and ensured my stay was a happy and relaxed one. Im definitely coming back, already booked and looking forward to the new 8ball table. As a girl on her own, Glen and all in house, set me at ease, I felt safe and as if Id known them for years.

The cabin is just great and has everything you need. The terrace is cozy and invites you to relax. Overall, the accommodation is very clean, well furnished and fully equipped. Coffee, tea, etc are also available. Roland is a nice host and was so nice to take us to the ferry. We also had the luck to have a koala directly in the tree next door, that was the icing on the cake. We would like to stay there longer, felt very well. Thanks Roland !!!

Great stay

Ken and Sandra were exceptional hosts. Ken picked us up from the ferry and he and Sandra delivered us back when we left. We were given numerous lifts - to do our shopping, to whatever beach we were visiting. Both Ken and Sandra were very kind. Keith, my husband, who is elderly and walks with difficulty, was initially daunted by the number of steps he had to climb to access the property. But Ken helped him a lot, including picking him up and delivering him to a back entrance where there were no stairs. The unit was spacious and spotless. It was also well provided with thoughtful touches, like beach towels and beach umbrella. Also snorkels Given that we were there through some very hot weather - the water at the beaches was mostly too warm for swimming - we were pleased to be able to use the in ground pool - very deep and covered with a shade cloth. Even on the hottest day, there was a welcome chill in the water. And shady spots to sit and read. We have nothing but praise for the hospitality and comfort we enjoyed.

My partner and I felt more than comfortable staying at Ken’s place for our little getaway. We were shown around the area in great detail and taught of a few tips and tricks of Magnetic Island. He has a fantastic attention to detail, cleanliness of the house, fast response time and willingness to help us out if ever need be no matter the time. We could not recommend Ken’s place enough for anyone visiting the Island. Very grateful!!

All very well, the site very nice and Ken very nice. It is very well located and surrounded by nature. If I returned to the magnetic island I would return there. We saw Koalas 15 minutes from the house
