  • Caban Bach is in a great location for both Saundersfoot and Tenby. The accommodation was clean cosy and comfortable it had everything you might need. The enclosed garden was great for my dog. I had a lovely relaxing break at Caban Bach, I would definitely recommend it and hope to go back again soon.

  • We would definitely recommend staying at 'Caban Bach' as its like a home from home. Set in a lovely quiet location but only a few minutes walk to the beach, local shops and restaurants. Debbie and Luke made us feel at home and were really helpful with suggestions on where to eat and visit. The town is a very dog friendly place and as we visited out of season our dogs loved going to the beach everyday. (the dogs also enjoyed exploring the enclosed garden too). Looking forward to returning in the future.

  • My partner and I stayed in this lovely cabin so close to the sea for a long weekend break. What a delight! A cute cabin, lovely touches inside, clean and organised, lovely garden for the dogs to play, very cosy and so close to the beach...we could not have wished for more. Fast comms from Debra and Luke at all times. A perfect stay in the most beautiful spot. If only we had one more day... thank you! 😊

    Joolz2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin is very cosy and comfortable with plenty of space for us and our dog. The garden is a nice bonus. We were lucky with the weather and walked to Tenby one day and Amroth on another taking the coastal path which is very nearby. In the evenings it’s just a short walk down to Saundersfoot with a good selection of quality bars and restaurants. We will be returning in the summer.

    Steve2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. Perfect. Everything you need to feel like a home from home (if your home is stylish, cosy, well equipped with a lush garden and near a beach).

  • Wonderful stay at the treehouse. The log burner was wonderful and kept the whole place toasty. The underfloor heating was also a treat. We loved waking up surrounded by nature and watching the birds feed while having a morning cuppa. I will particularly miss the hot tub x

  • We absolutely loved our treehouse adventure. So cosy, little one loved her little bedroom/den and of course buck the deer! Stargazing in the hot tub listening to the owls hooting was magical. We even managed a row on the pond. Thank you Carol Anne and Martin for your hospitality-cheese board was a lovely welcome too.

  • Amazing stay at the treehouse everything we expected and more

    Jade2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place in an amazing location. Beautiful and private all at the same time. Everything we expected and more. The hosts had gone above and beyond and even added personal touches to make it even more special. We stayed there over the weekend of storm Dennis and even though at times you would feel the odd shake from the wind (only to be expected) I never felt unsafe! Even spent the night time sat in the hot tub with Dennis whirling around us which was an experience we’ll never forget! Cannot thank them enough we truly had that best valentine weekend we could of wished for and we will certainly be back again!

  • I am struggling to find the words to describe just quite how amazing our stay in the Treehouse was, we were there for 4 nights which covered storm Ciara visiting and sitting by the fire while the rain poured and the wind howled was perfect, we even sat in the hot tub in the most appalling weather but due to it being very sheltered it was a fantastic experience. The Treehouse itself has so many little touches, the stove is lovely (and was lit for our 4pm arrival), the under floor heating is really nice to stand on in the morning! The treehouse was never cold (which did worry me!), I loved all the blankets that were available (didn't need them but I do love a blanket!). We saw lots of wildlife - lots of different birds including a wood pecker, and squirrels came to visit. You are very secluded in this little area and nobody overlooks you. Carol Anne suggested a curry for the first night (I cannot remember the supplier) it was really delicious and she offered advice on where to eat etc. Locally Narberth is a lovely little town with many little cafes and independent shops, we also visited Tenby which has larger well known shops but retains its charm and has a selection of smaller independents also. Can also recommend Folly Farm (excellent if you have children, we didn't have any with us and still spent a fair amount of time there!), Manor Wildlife park (their animal experiences are fab, highly recommend you feed the red pandas!) and also Pembrokeshire Llamas (We walked Macsen and Myrrdin). We fully intend to come back next year xx

  • Perfect place to spend New Year’s Eve. The hot tub made all the difference and the treehouse is so cosy. Martin was really nice and gave us some tips to visit the surroundings. Would highly recommend!

    Helene2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely area of the world, completely out the way of normality, its in a great place not too far from a lovely little town called Narberth. The place itself is so quirky and lobely and the hosts helped with everything we required.

    Richie2019-12-30T00:00:00Z

On a family smallholding in beautiful rural Carmarthenshire, the cosy, historic cottage has been lovingly renovated to include underfloor heating, woodburning stove, well equipped 'farmhouse' kitchen, private garden and outdoor electric hot tub for your exclusive use during your stay and a shared games barn. Plenty of family-friendly activities and both coasts are within easy driving range. One well behaved dog welcome, please see dog rules. Please read description and house rules carefully.
The cottage has been carefully renovated using lime, and other sustainable building materials. We have installed high tech heating and hot water that is super eco friendly and reliable. No matter what time of year you stay it will be cosy: as well as underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs, there is an optional woodburner with complimentary starter pack of logs and kindling. The whole cottage is well equipped with a fantastic bespoke 'farmhouse' kitchen including antique Welsh dresser, traditionally oiled Welsh slate worktops, a belfast sink, Neff dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, Bosch fan oven, coffee maker and Miele washing machine. Outside is our fantastic, luxury hot tub, the perfect way to relax and unwind! The hot tub is electric, so ready at the touch of a button and we use 'skin friendlier' bromine to keep it sparkling clean. The tub has been carefully sited on it's own patio area adjacent to the cottage garden, which ensures both easy access for over 16's to the tub and a safe area of garden for young children. The tub takes in the stunning countryside view and during the evening our very dark skies make it a perfect spot for stargazing. Even on a wet night, with the fairy lights on and the soothing jets going it's a perfect way to end your day. We live next door and it's an outdoor hot tub, so it's not completely private, however we feel that the carefully considered landscaping balances guest's privacy and the view from the tub; the vast majority of guests who have used the tub have loved it, we hope you will too. Upstairs the 2 bedrooms have beautiful views, radiators, waxed wooden floors and comfortable beds. The romantic master bedroom has a period fireplace and super comfortable brass bed with luxury wool duvet and feather pillows - we've had lots of guests remark on what a wonderful night's sleep they've enjoyed! The bunk bed room has been carefully planned as a children's space, with a great collection of kids books, and has a built in cupboard with hanging space and drawers and the window has a blackout blind and curtains.. The bathroom upstairs has a bath with Mira thermostatic shower over, with glass shower screen. There is a heated towel radiator and we supply luxury Egyptian cotton towels. Other provisions include TV with Freesat, DVD player and Amazon Fire Stick, BBQ, games barn with table tennis, travel cot (up 10 15kg/can't climb out), highchair (up to 15kg) and a good selection of books, toys, games and collection of DVD's. The skies here are perfect for stargazing as we have very little light pollution. The local roads are very quiet and there are plenty of countryside walks. We actively encourage wildlife, have re-established wildflower meadows and planted over 7000 native trees. As a result we have lots of birds to watch, including Herons, Woodpeckers and Wood Warblers, we frequently see Sparrow Hawks, Red Kites, Buzzards, and visiting Barn Owls, to name but a few! Guests can access the river, at the bottom of the field -which is fun to splash around in, or a great place for a picnic. However if you're quiet you might even spot the Kingfisher? Newcastle Emlyn (9 miles) and St Clears (8 miles) are both within easy reach for shopping and some fantastic restaurants and we sell eggs and "the best meat we've ever eaten", according to some of our guests. If you're a knitter or crocheter, why not treat yourself to some of our luxury 100% alpaca wool too? The cottage is on our small family farm; run on Organic, pesticide free principles, nestled in the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside. We raise a variety of traditional & rare breed animals, producing the very finest quality meat. Although the farm feels very tucked away, it is easily accessible. If you would like a 'farm tour' we're happy to show you round and introduce you to some of the farm animals. We offer a whistlestop free tour, or an extended payable tour where you can meet and feed some of our animals. If you would like one of our very popular finest quality and locally sourced food hampers, homemade birthday cake or loaf of organic farmhouse bread, then please ask for details!
For day to day shopping you can't go wrong with Newcastle Emlyn to the north, jam packed with small independant shops and cafes. To the south is St Clears with a supermarket and art centre and we are only a 20 minute drive from Carmarthen. There is plenty to explore nearby; some of our favourite spots include Fynnone woods with it's dramatic waterfall and Tenby, Llansteffan, Laugharne and Llangrannog for their beaches and castles. For those looking for adventure Oakwood adventure park is a short drive away, as are Anna's Zoo and Blue Lagoon water park. For a spot of culture (aside from any of Wales' 600+ castles!) we are within easy reach of the National Botanic Gardens, Dylan Thomas' boat house and the Gwili Valley Steam railway to name but a few. For food enthusiasts Caws Cenarth cheese factory and tasting room is not to be missed and we have some award winning restaurants within a short drive.
  • Claire and Oli’s cottage was absolutely beautiful. It was sparkling clean and so so cosy. Claire was always on hand when we had questions and recommended some great places for us to visit, including Ffynone Waterfall, which was so picturesque. We went on the farm tour with Oli. It was great! Oli was really knowledgable and it was interesting to hear about their journey with the farm. We would absolutely recommend staying here. The cottage was super peaceful, the hot tub was great, and not too far from some of the bigger towns. We’d even go as far to say it was our favourite Airbnb stay. Thank you Claire and Oli ☺️

  • Lovely, cosy cottage. Very clean and excellently equipped. Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts.

  • Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. It was sparkling clean with lovely touches. We had an amazing time.

    Kasia2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Superb - this is a real gem, and not just because it's very cosy, picturesque and run by two friendly hosts. It's also one of the most environmentally conscious BnBs I've ever stayed in. Huge efforts have been made to make the house as environmentally friendly as possible and the same goes for the farm and local produce as well. The hot tub and wood burning stove are also great fun. I would strongly recommend staying here if you're passing through Carmarthenshire, particularly if the environment is an issue close to your heart.

  • Rural, homely cottage on a small working farm. Easy to find following Claire's directions. Made full use of the log burner and hot tub! Helpful instructions on how to use these are provided. We had ideal weather and clear, starry nights which made our stay extra special. We will be back in the near future

    Bradley2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived as a family four looking for a quiet weekend away from our usually busy abode. We found ourselves at a rural farm cottage dotted with cheerful farm animals. Parking was ideal as had a gated drive and we could bring items back and forth to the cottage with ease. The cottage itself was cosy, warm and inviting. A massive pull for us was the wood burner as it is something myself and partner thoroughly enjoy as it adds an extra comfort factor to the colder months. The place was immaculate, towels were provided and the beds were extremely clean and comfortable. One thing that surprised us and took me back to my rural upbringing was going to sleep in absolute darkness. We could not see our hands infront of our faces, no street light, shouting from the street or sounds of cars... BLISS! We did sneak out to the hot tub after the kids went to bed, flip flops on and beach towels in hand, we loved it. Perfect little twinkling lights and the chance to spend time together with the jacuzzi bubbling away. Essentially, it was wonderful. We ventured to Tenby beach for a day out which is always pleasant for us and further enhanced our stay. In all, we shall be returning to this cottage as for us, it was a perfect escape.

    Kathryn2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Had a pleasant stay and it was a lovely place. Difficult to order a cab to get out for dinner and drinks in the evening. Smoking at the designated spot in the evening was difficult when torch on phone battery died and trudging through mud in the dark - consequences of being a smoker.

    Kurt2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Small break away in Welsh countryside, one of the best stays ever. Hosts went above and beyond to make our stay lovely. Would highly recommend, would of loved to stay longer and enjoy more west Wales.

    Claire2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just adorable. We came to celebrate our sons first birthday. He loved the space too. The most beautiful thing to wake up to a view of a rushing river. Everything in this little cottage is so thoughtfully placed. Great bath too! Don't hesitate you'll love it!

  • Sian’s cottage is really lovely, the perfect rural retreat. Cute and cosy with lots of thoughtful touches and quirky decor (including some gorgeous traditional welsh blankets!). Log fire, comfy bed, great bath tub, beautiful stream at the bottom of the garden. The stairs to the next floor are steep so take care after a glass of wine :) We would definitely stay again.

    Colse2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • One of my favourite air bnb I’ve stayed in, photos don’t do this places justice was super cosy, and had everything you need. No faults at all would definitely recommend.

  • Loved this place! Cosy, warm with everything you could possibly need! And what a stunning location!

    Rachel2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sian's place is really beautiful - the flat is super cosy and wonderfully decorated and it was so lovely to be close to the river and to watch all the birds from the window. The location is gorgeous. The bed was really comfy and it was so nice to wake up in the morning to the beautiful views. We went for a walk through the local area which was lovely - all the moss and old trees. We were really well catered for in the flat - there was everything we needed and more (cooking equipment, games, a TV, bath, etc.). Thanks Sian!

    Adam2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sian's cottage is in a beautiful location. If you like the sound of a babbling brook and birds, then this is the place for you. The house was spotless and has everything you need to cater for yourselves. Although the stairs look steep in the photos, it is well built and manageable. In the winter, with the log fire, it becomes a warm, cosy and comfortable home. In the summer, the ability to eat outside overlooking a brook in a quiet wooded location, makes it great for all seasons. Top tip: Leave one set of keys in the key blister. This will avoid becoming locked out. Many thanks to Simone for help us out on New Year's Day!!

A quiet private and cosy space which is perfect for a romantic getaway set in a magical rural setting under the Preseli Mountains. High bed with views of sunset and stars. Log burner, large comfy sofa and private patio garden by the mill stream.
A beautiful romantic space for two with a sleeping platform, a huge comfy sofa/bed, TV, a woodburner and view over to the Preseli mountains. A beautiful hand-built kitchen with slate floor leads from the main living and sleeping space and then double stained glass doors open out onto the patio garden next to the mill race that flows down to the old cast-iron mill wheel below. There is also a bathroom with shower and bath. The central heating is managed by a biomass boiler situated in an out-building We provide a large basket of wood and kindling. Extra is available to buy should you need it. Discounts are available for week long bookings or mid-week only bookings. Please contact me to find out more. This accommodation is part of a smallholding (withone other adjoining holiday cottage) which used to be a thriving flour mill. The studio feels very private with its own garden overlooking the mill- wheel. It is a gorgeous place for a holiday exploring Pembrokeshire. 10 miles from Narberth and 12 miles from Cardigan tucked away in its own little world close to the Preselli mountains and a short walk from little village of Mynachlogddu. You will find everything you need here to kick back and relax and explore magical Pembrokeshire. We are in a 16 acre smallholding and there are rivers, streams and waterfalls all around. The place is an oasis of escape. Craig,Dan or Oshi will show you everything you need to know during your stay. This whole place is steeped in history both ancient and recent, they say it has been in use since megalithic times as a sanctuary for healing, being the home of the famous bluestones which were transported (somehow!!) to Stonehenge. The mill has not been in use for 50 years but the old cast iron wheel still stands and the mill race flows behind the cottage. You will always be able to hear the faint murmur of flowing water as well as plenty of birdsong, the odd sheep bleating and no traffic except for a tractor making hay in the fields during the summer. You will be able to light a fire outside and sit under the starscapes, hang out on the river bank and get natural, wander amongst the trees and hills and let the rest of the world disappear if you want to. We do have wireless connection but due to its sheltered location we only have the odd patches of mobile reception but half a mile down the lane there is full reception.
Felindyrch is situated half a mile outside the tiny village of Mynachlogddu, home of the Preseli bluestones which made their way to stonehenge. (10 miles from the quirky market towns of Narberth to the south and Cardigan to the North) surrounded by stunning landscapes and with full starry skies. Centrally located in West Wales it is a wonderful location to explore the beaches of the North Coast (25 minutes drive) the South coast 30-40 minutes and the west coast 50 minutes. The nearest mini-supermarket/petrol station is just 2 miles down the lane and nearest village with shops is Crymych 4 miles. This is a traditional farming area. There are many great walks and footpaths up to the hills. In the village a mile away there is a lovely wooden playground. In the other direction Trefach caravan park welcomes guests from Felindyrch to swim in their swimming pool as long as refreshments are purchased from the restaurant or bar. Mention Felindyrch for a warmer welcome when you arrive as they are pretty hot on making sure they keep a safe space for their younger guests
  • I couldn’t recommend Oshi’s place more

  • Great facilities in an idyllic location. Ideal base for exploring the region. Comfortable and quiet.

  • Our stay fell in the middle of storm Dennis and we couldnt think of a better place to get cosy and wait out the bad weather! The studio is very cosy and relaxing with the fire roaring and the sound of the stream right outside. We would love to come back and explore the area more, it is beautiful. The view of the night sky from the mezzanine bed is a nice touch too. This was a great place to just unwind.

    Andy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing stay in a perfect location. Loved listening to the river and watching the stars from the bedroom. Nearby Narberth was a lovely little village to explore and do some shopping in the little boutique shops. Didn’t want to leave, will definitely return!

    Anita2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to get away from it all - we had a lovely weekend here and Oshi was very helpful too :)

    Alfie2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent trip to a beautiful part of Wales. A warm welcome and friendly hospitality. Even although it rained a lot, I had the most amazing time relaxing and painting in front of the log fire in the beautifully converted barn/watermill. The colours were so green and vibrant around Oshi's place. Such a beautiful location with the coast also close enough for coastal walks. A great, warm, autumn country escape. Will be booking again and look forward to returning!

    Fiona2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend here in the barn. Never stayed in a place like this before, it was peaceful and nature-ry, the air is so clean and invigorating in this area I miss it! I think we should have stayed a week as a weekend wasn’t long enough!

    Vicky2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place was an absolute gem! The photos on the airbnb do not do it justice. It is a lovely retreat off the beaten track where we enjoyed the log fire and the sounds of nature all around us. Oshi is the best host we have ever come across - very quick with responses, great directions to find the studio, and a huge list of recommendations for the local area. We stayed for 3 nights but could have stayed for longer. A beautiful place with a lovely host. Thank you Oshi! x

Lovely, tranquil retreat on the road to Llansteffan, three miles from Carmarthen. The log cabin is at the far end of a large lily pond within the grounds of our three-acre garden. Features include a log burner, fluffy bathrobes, slippers and towels, DVD library, large box of games, private deck and garden area overlooking the pond, BBQ and outdoor lighting. Six miles to the coast at Llansteffan for walks along the stunning beach and up to the castle.
The log cabin is perfect for a rural getaway providing a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's a great base from which to explore south west Wales and cosy nights in with the wood burner will also help you to unwind and recharge the batteries! While the cabin is compact, the three rooms are stylishly designed for comfort as well as for practical living with everything you need to make your stay relaxing. The main room combines the living space and kitchen and features a wood burning stove (we provide all the wood you may need). The cabin is fully insulated but if you feel a bit chilly there are additional electric heaters. The kitchen is fully equipped if you want to cook up a feast, oils and condiments provided. You will be able to settle in as soon as you arrive with a selection of teas, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits! The bedroom and bathroom are accessed from the living room; bedding, bathrobes and fluffy towels are provided for our guests. Right next to the cabin is a small, fully furnished annexe with its own entrance. It has an additional single bed and ensuite bathroom (but no kitchen). If you require use of the annexe there is a supplementary charge of £25 per night. (NB the main log cabin accommodates two people maximum).
We're on the edge of an ancient woodland and a short drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in South Wales (our nearest beach is six miles away in Llansteffan). Carmarthenshire is a wonderful county to explore: plenty of castles nearby and the Dylan Thomas heritage in Laugharne is not to be missed. There are lots of local attractions and beauty spots close by: to the west - Llansteffan, Laugharne, Tenby, Saundersfoot, St David's and of course the Pembrokeshire coastal path; to the east - National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Llandeilo, Swansea and the Gower; to the north west - Cardiganshire; to the north east - the Brecon Beacons. If the countryside or the coast doesn't provide all the entertainment you need there is even a six-screen cinema in Carmarthen, a lively market town. A 15 minute drive takes you to some of the regions top eateries: Wright's Food Emporium and Y Polyn. Carmarthen town also has a number of restaurants - we can give you recommendations. For self catering purposes there are large supermarkets as well as a Spar shop within a short drive of our home.
  • Marlene and Tony are wonderful hosts. Above and beyond with the extra touches such as a birthday bunting and card for my partner. Such a peaceful and relaxing weekend. Thank you so much xx

    Vicky2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was lovely and had everything we needed. The log burner was great and warmed the cabin quickly. We had a great time.

    Sarah2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Many thanks Marlene and Tony for being great hosts. We truly enjoyed our stay and we love what you've done with the place. Is really cozy, sparkling clean and fully equipped with everything needed. We appreciate the little touches as well. It was easy to get there and to find the cabin. I cannot recommend it enough. Definitely worth to stay here. And we will be back in summer.

  • We had a lovely 2 night stay at the cabin - it was very cosy with the log burner, the bed was very comfortable, and the place was amazingly well equipped. Marlene has thought of everything!

    Naomi2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Marlene and Tony were both amazing hosts. The cosy cabin was brilliant and by far the best Airbnb we have stayed in. The cabin is in a great location, clean and tidy with everything you need. Marlene and Tony were there if we needed them and thought of everything for our stay. Even a bottle of bubbly for NYE. It's on our list to stay again in the near future.

    Jamie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The wooden cabin is a magical and private place to spend Christmas/New Years, the whole place was lit so beautifully when we arrived and saw the landscaper lake and grounds. Spotlessly clean, the kitchen is really well equipped and we were able to cook complete meals. The wood burning stove is a great touch and really made it cosy. Marlene went out of her way to accommodate us when we had to change dates and brought along an unexpected guest (our new pup) - very much appreciated. Highly recommend!

  • I thought the trip would be a nice little break but nothing too memorable. I was wrong and it was magical. Loved every minute, and my husband who usually complains constantly about nature, loved it too.

    Kim2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was perfect! We wanted something cozy and quirky, and this fit this criteria exactly. The host was very accommodating - we were able to add an extra night to our booking quite late, and arrived early but were still able to access the cabin. The hot tub was spot on, and the whole site felt well cared for. A lovely getaway from the real world, with great access to South Wales and the Pembrokeshire coast. 100% would recommend.

Clydfan (means 'cosy cottage' in Welsh) is one of two south-facing former quarryman's cottages looking toward the Preseli mountains. Originally two-up-two-down, the cottage was extended to the west in the 1970s for a kitchen and bathroom to be added and the two downstairs rooms are now a tiled through lounge. It's small, but set in a large garden; part wild and part lawned, so plenty of places to hide in. Footpaths lead to the slate quarries and to Glogue.
You'll be a secluded half mile from the road, sharing the un-made track with the quarryman's cottage next door and some horses. Tegryn village has a pub almost in walking distance (uphill) while Crymych and its shops is four miles. So it's a hideaway from which you can launch expeditions to tour the area - or just hideaway in.
Apart from the country walks on your doorstep, everything's a car ride away: Cardigan is 20 mins and beyond that the Poppit Sands beach. Aberaeron and the honey ice cream shop is 3/4 hour heading towards Aberystwyth and the other way Britain's smallest city of St Davids is an hour. Or just stay home and enjoy the view.
  • The cottage is in a fantastic location. There are far reaching views, and spacious grounds. It is a hidden gem yet withing easy driving distance of lots of lovely beaches.

  • I stayed at Jon and Moira's for one night with my partner and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in the area. Before arrival we were sent detailed directions which came in very handy. Jon met us on arrival and was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable straight away (we were also greeted by their lovely pets who were very sweet). Their house is beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed for a nice stay, including a book of useful information for our stay which was very well thought out. We had good access to parking at the property and were in a good location not too far from the town centre. We would highly recommend a stay here!

  • Jon, Moira and of course the beautiful Riley were extremely friendly and helped us to settle in well. It was extremely well located for Many Tears, the animal rescue we drove over 7 hours to visit. It was nice to get somewhere that was like a home from home. The area was very peaceful leaving us with undisturbed sleep and the shower in the morning was great, which for us is always important as were the amenities. I would highly recommend

  • Frances and Bill were exceptional hosts and made our stay very special. Morris is a charming space in a glorious setting and we can’t wait to return. There was great communication before we arrived and were greeted and treated very graciously on arrival. We experienced an amazing attention to detail in terms of how Morris was decorated and how many items Frances and Bill had thought to include during our stay. The Hot Tub was perfect with the most amazing views of the night sky and the log burner kept us cosy all night. We had lots of privacy with the security of having the hosts near by if we were to need anything. I truly recommend visiting Morris in this beautiful location either during the winter months or summer.

  • Great hospitality, cosy and warm shepherd’s hat with many snacks and dvds. Frances Louise is a very sweet host, she took care of showing us everything at the check in.

  • Fantastic location for a total break from the business of everyday life. An escape in tthe countrysife but also near the sea. Beautiful scenery to experience and so much to explore close by. Anything you could possibly need is provided and Frances and Bill were outstanding hosts and extremely welcoming. A cosy, comfortable and very relaxing atmosphere created by all the finishing touches and decor. Marvellous few days away - would highly recommend!

  • Myself and my wife spent our honeymoon here in Morris. Frances and Bill went out of their way to make the place so comfortable and special for us, they even left us a cake and some fizz! Frances and Bill are great hosts; There when you need them, but they give space so you can enjoy everything to yourselves. Their local knowledge is also very helpful as we didn't know the area at all! - I hugely recommend the brewery/Tap room in Tenby! 10/10 - Great place to stay and chill out. Great beaches nearby, and lots to explore!

    George2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Frances and Bill are very warm, friendly and accommodating hosts, The shepards hut has everything you need. If you want it as a base for walking or just a space to relax in front of a camp fire, it has it all, the detail that has been put into the hut really makes it feel like a home from home. We will definately be back and will be recommending to family and friends.

    Dean2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolute gem! Frances and Bill are clearly passionate about where they live and have put so much thought and effort into sharing that with their guests. This was without doubt the most well equipped air bnb I’ve stayed in (before we came I mentioned to Frances that we would be stopping on route to buy Welsh Cakes and she baked us some!). Everything has been thought of and the attention to detail is evident throughout. Great recommendations for local things to do and see and places to eat and the location is beyond beautiful. The hut itself is well laid out with excellent amenities and many thoughtful touches. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.

    Nicole2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect tranquil retreat but lots to do and see a short drive away, this place is perfect. This little shepherds hut has everything you could ask for and the hosts are extremely helpful and accommodating too

    Amy-Louise2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! I cannot express to you how much you must stay at Morris! The hut was gorgeous, quaint and totally out in the woods (the only thing you can hear is the stream and birds!) it was just what I needed for a bit of TLC and time to myself. Added bonus was that I could have turned up with just a spare pair of pants and nothing else as Frances had catered to every need - ample food, dvds, games, towels, bbq equipment, outdoor chairs, suncream, shower gel AND a can of G&T in the fridge (to name just a few of the things on hand) I Have already recommended you to anyone who will listen to me!

We offer accommodation within our community on the edge of the stunning Pembrokeshire national park, great for walking, cycling, neolithic history, and beaches. Children are very welcome here as we have an outdoor play area and bushcraft centre onsite and a good community cafe with park, within short walking distance.
We are a child centered, intentional community. The living room/play room, kitchen diner and conservatory are available for use by guests by REQUEST ONLY, but you have your private room with desk, wifi, microwave, kettle, the garden, the outdoor lean to with sofas, and toys and book on request. We sometimes have an outside fire and the stars at night here are legendary. The triple room can sleep up to 4 with the addition of a floor mattress (provided) and also one infant in a travel cot (bring your own). We don't want anyone to be disappointed in their experience here so I want to add, that this is a community house that is lived in and used by lots of people daily on a 10 acre smallholding, we think we have prices to reflect that, so please read our reviews and decide for yourself. It is homely not spruce and we plan to update the decor as income streams allow. In the meantime I hope some of you enjoy our company and home.
We are close to the Lammas Eco Village who do tours on Saturdays throughout summer (and delicious organic produce). The area is covered in neolithic burial sites, stone circles and standing stones. We have the most amazing coastal landscape and starry night skys and the Preselli mountains are close by. The Canolfan Hermon village hall does dance classes, yoga, music events with a bar and has an awesome cafe (cegin Bella) with play park with zip line and is a 3 minute walk from our front door. 2 miles away we have a leisure centre with free swimming for kids on a saturday. Half hour away there is Bluestone leisure park with waterpark, Oakwood theme park with rides, Folly farm zoo, Manor park wildlife park.

  • Delightful to stay in this friendly community space. Dinner was great and the cats were super cute.

  • I was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed eating with all the residents and guests together. The bathroom is very modern and clean and the house is traditional and quaint. There is lots going on in the community and I would recommend this listing for young families and for people who are community minded and enjoy an alternative lifestyle. At the same time I do want to comment that Aya has worked very hard to achieve high standards for Airbnb guests and it's as good as any place I have stayed and more interesting. .

    Mary2017-08-19T00:00:00Z

Charming private room in a cosy three bedroom terrace house. Shared living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. Garden and shower room are currently a work in progress which I aim to complete asap. See @housebybettyguesthouse on Instagram if you'd like to have a look at the progress, or if you just love interiors and DIY.
The guesthouse is a relaxing place to stay with wooden flooring throughout and a rustic, earthy vibe. The spaces are all communal so you can have the option of company if you wish. The rooms are very spacious and there is a shared TV room if you'd like to sit and watch movies or just read a book on the bean bag or sofa. There is a beautiful tabby cat called Betty who lives here too, she's super cute and loves people.
Carmarthen is a beautiful town filled with things to do. Stretching from Carmarthen Bay in the south to the western Beacons and Cambrian Mountains in the north, with wondrous gardens, awe-inspiring castles, Wales’s longest beaches, and market towns brimming with local produce and independent shopping.
  • A lovely stylish house in a really great location! Beautiful house as soon as. You walk in with lots of colour and warm ambience. The host/owner Lauren is amazing in every way. We talked about life as if we were friends she was so accommodating and friendly. Our room was beautiful too, bed was extremely comfy and had a good amount of space in the room for your belongings. Bathroom was equally good and there was an additional toilet room downstairs of needed. Kitchen space was ample room too. Even though it is communal sharing I didn't feel like I was intruding as Lauren was so relaxed and made our stay perfect. Wish we had stayed longer but we will definitely return!

  • A beautifully converted and tastefully decorated barn conversion with everything you could need. Lovely added bonus of a private little sitting area right outside the front door. Squishy sofas, a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. We were initially concerned that the blinds over the skylights would let in the light, like at previous places we’d stayed, and wake our baby. However, we were happy to find the blind in the bedroom was a blackout blind and the light didn’t disturb our little one at all. Although we brought our own travel cot we were happy to find one at the flat too. The accommodation was easy to find with the instructions Iola sent a few days before and there was ample space to park next to the barn. Iola and her husband were very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • A cosy yet spacious cottage perfect for our two young daughters who loved sleeping in the attic space. A great base to explore the local area. Tenby beaches are fantastic! The cottage was clean and well equipped. Even had some welsh cakes left on the table for our arrival. Thanks to Iola and family for a great holiday stay.

    Helen2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most perfect stay at the barn, it was a home from home and had everything you could possibly need. Our two daughters loved the mezzanine room and were excited to go to bed every night! Iola was the most helpful host and gave us lots of tips and recommendations which helped plan some amazing day trips in the most beautiful settings. Some great memories made and a new-found love of Wales.

  • I arrived really late in the evening and Klara was absolutely great. The room is large and located in the top floor so you get lots of privacy. Nice comfortable bed. The house is run by a wonderful and inspiring community, lots of children around. Really great for families. I strongly recommend Helen’s place.

  • Me the girlfriend and the three kids stayed at helens place for one night. Loved everything about the place, the house was very big with plenty of room and a massive playroom for the kids with a open house that we had full use of. As we got there we were really made to feel at home and come and go as we pleased. Outside there was acres of fields where you could stay in the yurts and fire pit which was undercover. Just outside was a brilliant playground where the kids had hours of fun. With just a short trip to the shops and take aways if needed it was an ideal location to stay with the family. Everyone there was really friendly and would highly recommend it as a family or as a couple. Will definitely be returning, here's to the next time, Thank you!

    Matthew2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed one night at Helen's place, we were welcomed very warmly and got offered drink straight away, we had lovely vegetarian curry and the room was nice and comfortable, hot water in a bathroom. We chose the place because of the price and I was surprised how big and comfortable the private room was. Thanks, if that area again, will definitely stay there again.

  • Great location and great people ! My three nights there were pleasant, I was warmly welcomed, the room was clean and the area very calm. Good location to visit the south west coast of Wales !

  • This is a communal home and a fascinating place to stay. It is a large property and we stayed just one night in the bunk room. We met some but not all of the people living on site but everyone we met was open and friendly. Our two small children were welcomed and treated with great respect. They had a fabulous time. Lucy and I enjoyed all the conversation and interaction as well. We intend to return and not just because we left our duvet there.

    Eamon2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time hanging out and getting to know Helen, Oscar and Clara! Such an amazing and hospitable group of people. They really looked after us during our stay at Fountain Hill. We especially liked their dextrous cats Many Toes and Mittens (they have opposable thumbs)! From the moment Helen opened the door we knew we'd have a great time here. Clara had cooked a vegan stew before we got their which was amazing! Gemma and I were Fountain Hill's first Air Bnb'ers and it was perfect for us. We found the private room very comfortable and the room was tidy and warm even in February - there were spare blankets if you get cold. The bathroom was also clean and equipped with a nice warm shower. We were allowed full access to the kitchen and all equipment and tea and coffee making facilities (they even got us soya and almond milk!) - there is a donations jar for a contribution towards food and drinks. The dining table is big enough for a lot of people and there is lots of space around the house free to chill or get to know other guests. There was another group of 4 when we were there which was cool and I really think that this place in the summer with a full house and full camp will be an incredible and highly inspiring place to visit - definitely worth checking this place out and getting to know everyone and what Fountain Hill is all about (we recommend some mad chats with Helen!!). The Lammas Project is also worth a visit - just 15 mins down the road, right, right, right and right (I think). We learnt how to weave willow with Cassi who is a great teacher and her husband Nigel gave us a tour of their plot of land and home - both very intersting, inspiring and down to earth people. If you want to learn about responsible/sustainable living and building communities (like we do) then Fountain Hill is a great place to stay. Equally, if you want somewhere friendly, welcoming and homely this ia a great place to stay! Our trip to Wales honestly could not have been much better and Fountain Hill made it! Thank you Helen, Oscar and Clara! I feel like we'll see each other again in the not so distant future! Big love, Gemma and Theo x

Great, clear directions and quiet location - I would not hesitate to recommend!

  • Stay for two nights whilst away with work. Very comfortable, clean, warm and friendly. Lots of great little extras I wasn't expecting. Bridget was very welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

    Stuart2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very warm welcome from Bridget. I booked only a few hours before arrival but communication was great and the room was spotless. Having the use of a private sitting room was great - log burner and TV - and Bridget was very happy for me to have my bottle of wine in there. About 10 mins from Camarthen and few minutes drive to beautiful beach at Llanestan.

Watch birds & boats from private terrace overlooking the estuary, & stargaze at night! 15 minutes drive to Carmarthen, two minutes drive to Llansteffan village. We have a unique location with glorious estuary views. We walk across a field path to access a quiet and peaceful beach.
Llansteffan is sometimes called the hidden jewel in Carmarthenshire, with its beach, an award winning village shop, The Sticks bar and restaurant, The Castle pub, the beach cafe and a historic church. There are lovely walks to the castle and beyond and we are near Green Castle Woods.
  • Such a jewel and a relaxing place to de-stress after a busy week.I just wish we could have stayed longer. Everything we needed was ready & waiting for us.The views are picture book pretty and the accommodation is very private.

    Tracey2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous place to stay close to llanstefan but in the countryside. The garden is definitely worth exploring!! Host was fabulous. Fresh bread and Welsh teacakes awaiting our arrival. Llanstefan castle is magnificent. Thanks so much Celia!!

  • We had a lovely stay. The location was perfect for exploring the local area and Celia was a thoughtful host. We hope to visit again!

  • Lovely space with great view from the balcony. Perfect for what I needed with local bread and jam a bonus in the welcome pack. Great to be near the beach and castle for a walk after work.

  • Celia was a fantastic host , she was there to greet us on arrival and had pre contacted us to know what time we would be there , she let us walk in her very large gardens and explained the views over the estuary were great at the top , she also explained about how to walk down to the beach and also checked ferry crossing times to . There were cereal yoghurts bread and milk and orange juice in the fridge which was a lovely touch . She advised of where to eat and places of interest to visit , beautiful location and we would definitely love to stay here again , great base to go off exploring the west from ,

    Elaine2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely breakfast touches, local jam and butter and a good choice of cereals plus fairtrade coffee. Plentiful outside area and the swing at the very topwas awe-some. You felt like you were flying! Thanks Celia, definitely be coming back!

    Hollie2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Celia's place. The location is superb. It has breathtaking views of the river estuary. Very close to the beach. Quite remote and offers a unique and restful stay. The facilities were just what is required. It was very clean and has all the necessary equipment for a comfortable stay. Celia provided very good and nutritious breakfast. We loved the locally baked bread it was very tasty. We used Celia's place to make short trips around the area such as the National Botanical Gardens, Dylan Thomas's shed in Laugharne, Tenby and so on. We wished our trip could have been longer as this is a beautiful area of Wales, perhaps we can visit again in the near future.

Ideally situated near the Carmarthenshire / Pembrokeshire / Ceredigion border, for easy access to the beautiful countryside & historic locations around the counties. After years of working in various countries abroad, Catherine & Kevin have returned to Llanboidy, to their beautiful home. It is full of interesting decorations picked up on their travels. An ideal location as a centre for visiting West Wales, just to relax or as a base whilst working in the area.
A 'help yourself' continental style breakfast is included in the price & provided in the bedroom. This includes cereals, bread (toast) & Jams. The room is self contained with a microwave, hob, toaster, kettle, mini fridge & tv (with built in dvd player). An ironing board & iron can be provided on request or for a small fee we can do any ironing for you. We will accept one dog with guests as long as it is well behaved & friendly towards our little dog (if they should meet).
A short journey will get you to The Pembrokeshire National Park, The Preseli Hills, Tenby, Saundersfoot, Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Pembroke, Cardigan and all surrounding areas. There is a local pub about a 2 minute walk from the property, that does good 'pub grub', unfortunately it is not always open early in the week. There is also a small shop & post office in the village.
  • lovely room with everything for a great stay

  • Kevin is a wonderful host and the accommodation was outstanding value. The bed was large and comfortable and the room had everything such as an electric hob and fridge which was above and beyond that a typical bnb. Kevin and Cathy had put a lot of thought into it.

    Lydia2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin has put a lot of thoughtful touches - cooker, fridge, bread, jam etc. This kind of facility is normally not available for room only. Room is warm and cosy and the private bathroom is clean. There is also a dog friendly pub close by.

    Mingyue2019-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin was a very attentive host, and his room represents great value. Would not hesitate to stay again

    Chris2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin and Cathy are great hosts. It was nice having a private area for ourselves (bathroom and bedroom). There was all we needed to cook and heat up our food in the bedroom, ideal to keep our privacy. We absolutely recommend this Airbnb.

    Camille2019-11-03T00:00:00Z

We were greeted by thoughtful touches such as chocolates, milk, travel cot all set up (and a much needed bottle of wine!!) - all of which were appreciated. The folders of local leaflets of places to visit were great too - made planning our days easier. The holiday was everything we wanted - and more. We cannot recommend this place highly enough!

  • The Barn was absolutely beautiful and Robert was a fantastic host. He made sure that we had everything we needed and and kept us well informed before our arrival. The Barn was very spacious but homely feeling and was absolutely spotless. The welcome pack on arrival was a really nice treat after a long journey as well, full of lots of local welsh goodies! The weekend was booked as a surprise for my Dads 50th and the whole experience of staying at the Barn really made his birthday. The location of the Barn is perfect as you really feel as though you are escaping all of the hustle of bustle of normal life. I will definitely be looking to stay here again and already can’t wait to go back!

  • What a fantastic holiday cottage for our first mini family holiday away. The place was spacious, clean, warm and very peaceful. It was the ideal setting to relax and unwind. We were extremely lucky with the weather and managed a few dry and sunny days out to Tenby and Laugharne itself. I highly recommend this cottage whether you're a couple looking to get away for a couple of nights or a big family holiday getaway . There's plenty of room! Robert is a great host and he couldn't have done more for us. Super quick with replying as well. Cheers

  • We had the MOST amazing time in the Pod. It was clean, comfortable and super warm! In a great location for exploring! The host responded quickly when we were unsure how to use the heater. Really amazing experience all around. Couple of helpful tips... If you're using the hot tub in months when it gets dark quickly, bring some fairy lights. It's a little dark, so we bought fairy lights which helped! Also, bring a bath Mat! We brought towels but forgot a bath Mat it gets pretty wet otherwise Haha. Thanks for having us! We LOVED it and will be coming back <3

charming private room in a cosy three bedroom terrace house.
