  • Laura's apartment is centrally located. I was able to walk from Woodbrook to so many locations around Port of Spain, and it was also easy to get pickups from the more popular taxi apps there. Even though the space is small, it is well organized for maximum utility without being overcrowded, and I didn't feel like I needed any more space. Laura herself was quite delightful, and it was a pleasure to chat with her. She was very helpful, and I highly recommend her as a host.

There are several restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk in Ellerslie Plaza. 15 minutes walk to Maraval where you can find a grocery, shops with high quality local goods, a wine store and spa. 5-10 minutes drive to the adjacent neighborhoods of downtown POS, St. Ann's, Woodbrook and Maraval. Because of the central location, you can get around by foot in the immediate area. Taxis should be arranged for anything more than 5 minutes away and at night. The location of the apartment is within walking distance to many bars, restaurants and other points of interest. The host is very welcoming, thoughtful, nice, attentive to your needs and prompt in communication. He gave some great tips about the surrounding area (where you can eat, what are some things to do etc.) which was very helpful, especially for a first-time visitor! FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE ! Strolling distance from major attractions like Magnificent Seven, President House, Emperor Valley Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Carnival -My place is ideally located walking distance to Queen's Park Savannah, Ariapita Avenue, for parade of bands. Queens Park Oval where many sporting events including cricket are hosted. Minutes from Maracas Beach.
    If you are looking for a quiet and private place in an extremely safe neighborhood to stay then my place is what you need. Ideal location for couples and solo travelers.
    My neighborhood is an upscale one, if you are looking for somewhere safe, quiet to stay here is where you should be. If you like outdoors you can safely walk around the neighborhood, or to the parks as their are a couple very close by.

  • Stayed at Ms Linda's place for 3 nights because of a funeral and the experience could not have been better. The location is perfect, kind of surburban but still very close to Port of Spain. The Apartment itself is tucked away so noise from the road is never an issue. Ms Linda always responded promptly to any question and concerns I had even going so far as to drop me at the funeral herself so I would be on time.I had complete privacy but anytime i needed to consult about anything she was there.Place was very spacious and cozy. Fantastic place with a Fantastic Host. Will stay again 100%

  • Accommodations were as advertised in the pictures! Entire apartment was especially clean and even slightly more spacious than the pictures illustrate. All communication was efficient and Leslie and Crystal were very reachable and quickly responsive. The only drawback was the Wifi would intermittently go out for a few minutes at a time multiple times a day. Apparently only happens during Carnival. But all things considered very pleased and would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

  • Leslie was very communicative and gave us a lot of recommendations for things to do and see. The directions for check-in were impeccable and very detailed. The apartment was safe and comfortable and we really enjoyed having a small kitchen so we could make coffee and breakfast without having to go on a search for it. The location is just off the Main Street with all the bars and restaurants, but far enough down that street to be away from the noise. The AC unit was a bonus after coming back from a hot day out in Trinidad!

Leslie communicated instantly when we had a water outage (which is normal in T&T), and he had someone service it immediately. He is extremely professional and will make your stay here feel like home!   • Leslie place is quite the bang for the buck Central location lot of food and cheap options on ariapita and Massey grocery is about a 20 min walk. It’s a good location to catch a taxi anytime of the day to anywhere as they always float around the bar pub area. His place is very clean, tidy, and welcoming . He has most things if you want to cook a small meal in the nook kitchen. It doesn’t feel old or richty. It’s in a safe location secured by a gate . It’s proximity to bars means you May get some minor sound pollution. Leslie is quick to respond and offer advice about places to eat or see. Not a whole lot to see in Trinidad but if you have a reason to come here I would stay here again. Trinidad is bizarrely expensive compared to Latin America and for the price and quality it’s hard to beat Leslie’s place. His bed is clean and prepared. He also provides towels but I recommend you bring your own. He has a water boiler convenient for tea and a frying pan and what not. I would recommend it 4 stars!!

With best doubles just down the street. Apartment is modern and spacious. I traveled with carry on only so having a washing machine and dryer came in super handy.     The annex is still a work in progress but certainly warm and cosy. The annex is attached to the back of a main house. Sufficiently decorated 1-bedroom available in Woodbrook that is ideally suited for the lone traveller or up to 2 persons. Comes with all the necessary amenities close to major conveniences (within walking distances) such as parks, pharmacies, restaurants, supermarkets, bars, cinemas, public & private health institutions, embassies and more. Located on a short quiet street.
    My space has a convenient kitchenette with an electric 2-burner cooktop, microwave and mini refrigerator. WiFi and cable are available. There is a comfortable couch to enjoy a movie or the dining table set for 4 also used as a desk to work from. If you need to wash, there is a washing machine with a drying rack ready for your use.
    Woodbrook is a vibrate area mixed with businesses, restaurants, cafes and bars all within walking distances from the apartment. Easy access to Downtown Port of Spain and close to parks in particular the Queen's Park Savannah (Carnival mecca of Trinidad and Tobago). Situated everything Carnival!!! Can't get any closer than this. West is the busy town of St James where you can head up to Fort George overlooking Port of Spain, Gulf of Paria and on a good day all the way to the south end of Trinidad. But not before passing by One Woodbrook Place with Imax and a few bars and restaurants. North is the largest open recreational area in Port of Spain known as The Queen's Park Savannah where you can also visit close by the National Academy for Performing Arts, National Museum, Botanic Gardens, Emperor Valley Zoo. East is Downtown Port of Spain for gridlock and street vendors. Visit the Hyatt for brunch or Breakfast Shed for local cuisine. Enroute to a 30-45 minutes drive to the Piarco Airport. South is the the infamous "Avenue" regarded a sleepless strip with night clubs, pubs, street food and more at every corner. Also nearby is Movietowne for shopping, entertainment and the Marriott. Stop by the Hasley Crawford National Stadium for events or just a quick jog up/down the stairs for exercise. My favourite places close to the apartment are Movietowne Invader's Bay (Multiscreen Cinema, Starbucks, Rituals, Texas De Brazil, Prime, other eating places and retail shopping), "De Avenue" for More Vino Sushi, Wrap Works, Frankie's, Pub House, Me Asia, Cocobel, Veni Mange (and other places such as Angelo's), past De Avenue are All Out & Jaffa's at the Queen's Park Oval on Tragarete Road, Buzo, Trotters, Apsara with Adam's and Joseph's in Maraval, then finally, OWP or One Woodbrook Place for Imax, Chaud Café, Buzz Bar, Island Beer, Samurai to name a few if you really want to stay a stone throw away. The apartment is less than 2 minutes walk to the western end of Ariapita Ave or "D'Avenue" and a 5-minute drive to Movietowne. Close by are St Clair Medical Centre, Brian Lara Cancer Treatment Centre, St James Emergency Centre and Princess Elizabeth Elizabeth Centre.

  • We think that the apartment is as described in the website, and Dwight was very nice when we arrive, everything was as expected. The apartment is not cheap, but we notice that Trinidad is a bit expensive in general, so we think that this is a good option compared to the price of a hotel. Location of the apartment is very good, close to the main streets where you can find restaurants and bars and parks, so it is very good location (however, it is important to consider that Port of Spain is not so focused on tourism, so there are no plenty of options). An important thing is that the place is very safe and Dwight is serious person so you can trust that your stay is going to be safe.

  • Well, I thoroughly enjoyed my first ever visit to Trinidad. Dwight kindly came and picked me up as I didn't get past Customs at the airport until after midnight. Apartment 2 is small, but quite well laid out for the size. All of the necessary appliances were provided including my four essentials - fridge, microwave, air-conditioning and cable. The water pressure in the shower was very good and you get plenty of hot and cold water. There are lots of shops and houses around and I felt quite safe in the neighbourhood. I think Picton street is quite a good location particularly if you want to go sightseeing or shopping Downtown. If you leave the building and turn left there are public taxis at the end of the road that charge only TT$4 to go Downtown and it takes just a few minutes. It would probably take around 20 - 25 mins to walk there. If you leave the building and turn right and walk for 5 minutes you'll find yourself in front of the lovely Queens Park Savannah (and a Pollo Tropical for those who can't do without it). There are plenty of historical buildings to see and people walk/jog around the Park day and night.

The apartment was small, pricey (to be expected during the period I suppose) but clean, well-equipped and amazingly well located. Dwight thought of everything, from providing free water and Gatorade to supplying an outside shower with towels, soap and shower puffs to wash off after Clay Jouvert (brilliant idea!).   • Adrian and Christiana were amazing hosts. The place was remarkable, close to everything and the guide they left us to help us get around was very helpful. There was an issue with the WIFI and within 10 minutes Christiana got it fixed for us. There was a washer and dryer for our use which was a plus. Also, we wanted to watch the epic battle of game of thrones and Christiana found us a watch party that was happening in the area right away. I would definitely go back again and would recommend. The Federation Park was originally built to house delegates to the Federal Parliament of the West Indies Federation between 1958 to 1962. During this period, various islands in the Caribbean that were colonies of the United Kingdom, including Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Jamaica, Grenada, Antigua and other Leeward and Windward Islands, came together to form the Federation with the intention to become independent from Britain as a single state.   • In all honesty, Dwight is the reason to stay at Travel Suites. I have never met someone so accommodating, kind, attentive, and knowledgable. We truly wanted for nothing during our stay. He connected us with an incredible taxi driver, offered to take us on a trip of the island if we had the time, and brought us special oranges from his family's garden. This is on top of the day-to-day conveniences we needed. The location is perfect for us. Central and near to the business we were conducting. Also it is a block away from the only 24 hour corner shop and my favorite Italian restaurant.

It is a stone's throw away from the shops, restaurants and the night life and is opposite One Woodbrook Place which hosts a strip of bars, restaurants, an IMAX theatre and much more! The Apartment is located in a quiet and secure gated compound. It comes fully furnished and equipped with everything one would need to feel at home. Looking forward to welcoming our new guests!
    Our space is ideally located in Woodbrook, a suburb of Port of Spain and close to many areas of interest for both business and entertainment. Nestled in a quite neighbourhood between the major thoroughfares of Tragarete Rd and Ariapita Ave, access is easy and convenient.
    Our neighbourhood is a good mix of both residential and business. We are close to the Queens Park Oval, the National Stadium and a short walk from all of the Embassies in St. Clair.

  • 4 of us ladies stayed at Laura’s place, although it was a bit tight with all our luggage the location was EXCELLENT! The apartment was in the very heart of POS with everything you need in walking distance. The space was clean and well stocked with essentials. Laura was the most fabulous host, she responded promptly to all our many questions. Overall I rate this place 10/10. I think it is tight for 4 people but definitely doable. I plan on coming back soon.

We didn't want to carry all that luggage down to tobago with us so we asked if it could be stored because when we returned we would stay here. They were so accommodating and stored our luggage.   • Kwasi's place was phenomenal. It was the ideal location and can be described as the epicenter for carnival celebration. It is situated along the route of the carnival bands making it very convenience to join your band if playing mass like we did and if needed hopping out if you need to take a break. It's also in close proximity to the Avenue and all the other Points of interest in the city. The apartment itself was very accommodating. It was extremely clean and comfortable. It had everything that you will need for your stay. Kwasi even provided start up groceries to get you going. It was like a home away from home. Kwasi also showed great concern by checking in regularly to ensure everything was fine. I highly recommend this place.

The location is wonderful and safe and I was already aware of the surroundings which made this the perfect place for me to stay.   • It was a pleasant, quiet atmosphere - we really enjoyed our stay. Because Vivien’s house is set in a tropical garden, we had a small problem with mosquitos. There is good AC and a large fan. All the facilities worked well, the bed was comfortable with nice pillows and cotton sheets. Also, we were able to use the washing machine which was a great help as we stayed for ten days! Vivien is lovely, she is a good host and has three sweet, friendly dogs. The Botanical Gardens are nearby and we visited them several times.
