A fabulous holiday cottage based in the quiet village of Cheriton, nestled in the North Gower peninsula. The cottage has a double bedroom, bathroom with shower, kitchen, living room and further sleeping space in the upstairs mezzanine, which is accessed by a space saver ladder. The barn also boasts a private garden with patio area and a private Hot Tub.
A lovely self contained holiday cottage which has been newly refurbished. The cottage has underfloor heating throughout. A handmade oak ladder staircase offers access to a mezzanine bedroom above. Exposed oak timber throughout. The holiday cottage has a private garden area and boasts a private hot tub for guests.
The cottage is located at the top of the village which means that there is plenty of peace and quiet, especially at night. The barn is located at the roadside which offers easy access. There is very little road noise though as the road is very quiet at all times. Parking is available next to the barn with gated access onto the road.

Towels and Bed linen are supplied so you don't need to worry about bringing your own. A really stunning apartment on the beach, super spacious, comfortable, modern, quiet and with relaxing water views both ways (from the bedrooms overlooking the sea, and the lounge overlooking the lake). It's a perfect base for exploring the area, the Gower Penninsula (surfing At Rhossili and Llangennith is fantastic), west towards Pembrey beach, Kidwelly Castle etc and lovely Carmarthenshire, or east for Swansea etc, but with the convenience of easy road or rail access and proximity to shops etc. The beach is the best in the area for kiteboarding (wide area of shallow flat water) and it is super convenient to walk straight home from the beach after a dip or a surf. A beautiful, light-filled contemporary space, annexed to our magical 18th century traditional Welsh farmhouse. Situated in one of Gower's secret places, off the beaten track, idyllically quiet yet within minutes of amazing beaches and countryside.
So here we are in a wonderfully quiet part of Gower. The accommodation is part of our charming old farm. We are 20 minutes from central Swansea, 5 minutes from Fairwood Airport, 10 minutes from amazing beaches. Its great for cycling, walking, riding, parachuting, kayaking or sampling local food and drink. We have a small paddock if you want to bring your horse for fantastic hacks along beaches and moorland. If you like starry skies then this is for you!
We live on a quiet country lane largely frequented by the odd tractor, cyclists, dog walkers, horse riders , hares and foxes. Within view of Cefn Bryn and the sea on either side.

  • Dawn and Martin were so friendly and welcoming during my stay. I was on placement at Prince Phillip Hospital, which was unfortunately cut short. The apartment is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It felt like a little home away from home. The bread, eggs, milk and butter on arrival were a lovely touch too!

  • Such a lovely little place. I stayed for a months placement in Prince Philip Hospital, which is less than ten minutes drive so was ideal. Everything I needed to feel at home for the month! Thanks!

  • We had a great weekend staying in the apartment. Good location for a base and a cosy place to return to after spending most of our days outside exploring different areas of the Gower. (The furthest drive was 40mins to Rhosilli and Worms Head.) We would happily return in the summer months to see more of what the area has to offer. Kind touches of milk, butter, eggs and fresh homemade bread on our arrival was the perfect start; thank you Martin and Dawn!

  • First time in wales and really enjoyed our stay! Accommodation in a lovely location and easy access to stunning beaches and walks on the peninsula. Good communication with our host and guest book had allot of suggestions on what to do and see. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Chip shop next door was great as well. Overall had a brilliant time and would highly reccomend!

    Douglas2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • This house is very conveniently situated to explore the Gower. The local amenities including the fish and chip shop next door, the cafe a couple of doors away, the Indian takeaway and the supermarket both short walk away are excellent. The house is deceptively spacious, is well equipped and warm with plenty of hot water. Adam has thought of everything to make a stay there a great experience including welcome gifts for humans and dogs. We can recommend this accommodation without reservation.

    Catherine2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place. Perfect location. Home from home. Nice and clean.

    Rachel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 3 night stay and this wonderful spacious cottage - spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need - all the extra touches were lovely Ty - Great location too!

    Jolene2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our long weekend at Cockle Shell, despite storm Dennis! The property was larger then we expected it to be, and is well-equipped, even having some family board games and DVDs. It is literally next door to a fish and chip shop, a few doors along from a cafe and Indian take-away, and opposite a gelato parlour and children’s play park, so is very well-positioned. One unusual quirk was that the large, front bedroom with a wardrobe and dressing table, and views over the estuary, had two single beds in it. The double bedroom was much smaller, with no space for a wardrobe or dressing table, and didn’t have the views.

    Marc2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was spacious and very well equipped. A perfect base for exploring the Gower.

    Adrian2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Adams place is an awesome place to stay! We were gifted with beautifully subtle seasonal decorations! Candles, wine and a log fire! Perfect on a sunny Christmas day afternoon. The house is palatial! Lots of interesting pictures and information. The walks in Gower are special but very muddy ! I hope we didn’t leave too much to clean! Go here and enjoy the village pub Heather is a gem. Comfort through and through here! I’d live there quite happily! I loved the horses roaming about too. So magical !

    Vik2019-12-29T00:00:00Z

Need a getaway or a family break off the beaten path? Dan y Graig is a cosy, lovingly-decorated 3 bedroom cottage with a sunny conservatory, nestled in the hills close to the beautiful harbour of Burry Port. The fabulous beaches of the Gower and the renowned scenery and coastal walks of the Brecon Beacons & Pembrokeshire are all less than an hour away. In the words of a recent guest, "Beautiful little retreat from the world with stunning views." A warm Welsh welcome awaits you!
Dan y Graig was built in the 1800s by local Welsh miners. Originally a four-roomed cottage, it now has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and its own conservatory and viewing deck, which were added to catch the sunshine and enjoy views of the Gower Peninsular (when the Welsh weather permits, of course). Dan y Graig sits in front a beautiful rockery of overhanging greenery and ferns, planted by neighbours whose gardens have won national awards. The new fully-equipped kitchen, cosy bedrooms, and lazy day bed in the sunny conservatory make a wonderful place to getaway, relax and recharge. As Nicki, a guest who visited in March 2017, said: "You can still walk to the shops and the pub if needs be. The house was really spotlessly clean and we loved the fact there was no TV so it was like a proper break from reality."
Local town: Burry Port has a picturesque harbour with cafes, pubs, and coffee shops: Our personal favourite being Café Lolfa, an art gallery cum coffee shop serving delicious locally-sourced food with excellent vegan options. Theres a Nissa store (CK's) and a well-stocked Co-op for groceries. Pubs are friendly and serve great food. Burry Port Fish & Chips are particularly good, especially when eaten beside the sea or on the harbour wall. Whitford's, in the town centre serves some authentic Welsh food and is currently enjoying excellent reviews from our guests. Local beaches: If you're holidaying with young children, consider visiting places such as the Burry Port Beach (15 min walk down the hill, or 5 min drive) and Pembrey Country Park (10 min drive away). They provide endless hours of cycling, dune-surfing, and beach play. You can also ride horses, ski, barbecue, hike, and swim in the area. The award-winning Gower Peninsular is a 40 min drive away. You'll find stunning beaches and scenery, complete with prime locations to surf and hike. The Gower is unforgettable and is ideal for long days out on the coast. More info provided in our Guest Manual once you book :-)
  • We had a lovely stay at Sarah’s place. Great location and very cozy accommodations. Our 1 year old also really enjoyed the toys and teddy’s left there. Definitely recommend to others!

    Laura2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, the cottage is lovely and cosy, with everything we needed. It’s a beautiful location with great views and was just up the road from family which was perfect for us. I would highly recommend a stay, the beach in Burry Port is lovely and it’s an hours drive to some amazing beaches on the Gower. We look forward to our next trip!

    Simon2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage with lots of space and great views. Parking is fine for one car, a bit tight for two. Great value for money. A very quiet location. Highly recommend.

    Nichola2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended host. The cottage is so nice and peaceful. Had a great family time in Burry Port

    Arthur2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect home for a couple of days but always remind that it is over 200 jears old! Low doorposts and a floor whitch is not always level. Very quied. The beach is nearby.

    Michel2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at Dan-y-Craig. Its a lovely cozy house, which is very thoughtfully kitted out, especially the kitchen, which was a joy to cook in. We had a BBQ in a little passage by the side of the house, which worked brilliantly; and could even see the sea from the house. We'll be back. Only caveat is that parking is a little tight for more than one car, but we managed. Good local amenities and great location for Pembrey Race Circuit, where we were working.

    Meyrick2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage in a lovely part of the world. Found it easily with the sat nav, and the key box made it very easy to access the house when we arrived. The dayroom is lovely for sitting in and there are clear views of the beaches (when not raining!). The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water (the shower is not a power shower but was adequate). The house is lovely and quiet, we slept very well. There are a few nearby shops and Llanelli offers more in the way of supermarkets etc. Pembrey country park 10 mins away was great and we spent two days there at the beach, cycling, playing games etc. The Dolaucothi gold mines (National Trust) are also well worth a visit. An hours drive but worth it and the pub there served amazing food. Overall a very enjoyable stay and I would not hesitate to recommend or return. Thanks to Sarah and Vince.

Ideal location in a woodland setting, a perfect base to explore Carmarthenshire. A small one up, one down, compact, rustic, cozy, detached cottage set in a rural quiet location, next to a brook. There is a pub within a 5-minute walk. Warm in front of the log burner in the winter or relax on a sun-filled patio in the summer. 8 miles from the Wales oldest town, Carmarthen, close to Pembrey country park & superb Beach, Ffos Las Racecourse, Kidwelly Castle, Llansteffan & Botanic gardens
The cottage is compact and quaint with everything you need for a relaxing visit to Wales. The cottage has one bedroom with a double bed, a small shower room , a kitchen lounge with dining a table and a log burner. Dvds only. Outside are views over the valley, a patio area looking on to the brook and a chiminea. There are 2 dogs at the property but they do not have access to Brook Cottage. Please note.. The cottage is situated right on a lane, it is very quiet but care must be taken when entering and leaving the cottage.
The cottage is perfectly located, an enjoyable leisurely stroll down the lane over an ancient bridge and river to the local pub. We recommend the local pub, the food is home cooked and the locals don't bite :) There is a shop a mile and a half away with a post office, petrol, and chemist. Also, there are some good places to eat within a 2-mile radius plus very good taxi service. There are many places to visit, the National Botanical gardens are a short drive away and Carmarthen holds the Antique fairs once a month at the Carmarthen showground. The Cynheidre Railway is 2 miles away for railway enthusiasts. You can go further a field, Tenby is only 45 minutes away and a visit to Narberth is a must. The Ffos Las racecourse holds many events each year and is hugely popular. Closer by LLanelli wetlands are worth a visit and so is Burry port with its new Lifeboat station and great fish and chips. Pembrey country park 5 miles away has everything, acres of woodland to cycle, a fabulous Beach framed by sandunes. The renown Glynn Abbey golf course is 2 miles away,

  • Just wow, lovely hosts in a friendly village, great location base for days out. Great value little cottage.

    Rob2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Keri was there to greet us and showed us around the cottage - she was very welcoming and gave us lots of info about the local area and recommended some days out. The cottage is very cosy, just what we wanted and better than we had expected. They had put out some wine and fresh flowers which was a lovely touch. The cottage has everything you need in the compact space - they have thought of everything! We chilled out by the fire and watch a film, had breakfast in bed and the cottage also has a nice patio area with a BBQ which we used one evening. We used the log burner and Keri was quick to offer help with this. We did lots of exploring but also spent time relaxing and chilling out in the cottage. We went to the Incline Inn for dinner one evening (10 mins down the road walking) and they were very friendly and the food was delicious. We also had a carvery on the Wednesday at the rugby club which again was delicious (about 5 min drive). We visited Kidwelly castle - can explore the castle and has lovely views. Burry Port which has a beautiful sandy beach. The botanic gardens which had an incredible bird show and The mumbles in Swansea which is a pretty costal town. Overall we have a lovely stay at the cottage and would love to return. Thank you so much for having us.

Cosy room with a double bed, plenty of storage and tea and coffee making facilities. Quiet neighbourhood, within walking distance of local shops and the pretty harbour

Bluebell Cottage is a comfortable home from home with outstanding panoramic views across the estuary towards the Gower Peninsula. We are midway along the beautiful Millenium Coastal Path and an ideal location for exploring the the coast, castles and countryside of the region. Often used as a restful place after work contracts or for visiting family. Bustling Swansea and ancient Carmarthen are within easy access. Ample parking for several cars. With two bathrooms it is great for families.
Bluebell Cottage has everything you need for a comfortable break. It has a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave, cafetiere and expresso pot, and a washing machine. The sofa bed is the one nearest the kitchen is easily put out and in. The cupboard has a drying rack and there is an outside rotary dryer from when the weather is bright. There is a selection of books, games and DVD's for your enjoyment and a large collection of brochures on the local and regional attractions. The two TV's can show different programmes in case of any conflict! You will find a good number of recommended places to eat and menus in the information folder. The wooden train set is often a real hit with youngsters (and adults if they are honest). Try using all the pieces joined up! The airing cupboard has plenty of extra towels and should fresh bedding be required it is stored under the main double bed (pull up from the bottom). A high chair and/or travel cot can be made available on request. Patio doors can be opened onto the furnished decking area which is a lovely lace to sit and enjoy the view. Please be sure to make a comment in the visitors book before departure. Thanks. Our home, on the same plot, was featured on TV recently if you would like to see it and us!! As featured on TV https://www.my5.tv/to-bb-the-best/season-1/episode-21
Bronllys Farm is one of the original dwellings in the village. We are set up a short hill from the main coastal road. The private grounds of Bronllys Farm are peaceful and private and have a panoramic view over the Loughor Estuary towards the Gower Peninsula that cause gasps of approval. It is a quiet location on the edge of the village with surrounding farmland. This a great base to explore the coast, castles and countryside of the region. The city of Swansea and ancient Carmarthen are within easy access and days out in the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire are other options. We have a small convenience store in the village and a lovely pub/restaurant, The Bryngwyn plus a few other pubs. Nearby bustling Llanelli has all amenities and many large supermarkets. Burry Port with its picturesque harbour and lighthouse has a well stocked Coop supermarket and plenty of smaller shops, cafes and pub eating places. I'll give you a map of the main locations and some recommended places to eat but please just ask if you require any other tips and advice. Take a look at these images to get a flavour of this lovely region http://www.gowerview.co.uk/?page=local-images
  • Bluebell cottage was very comfortable. We arrived in a storm and were pleased that the heating system was very efficient and we soon dried off and warmed up. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and very good value. The welcome pack Welsh cakes was appreciated. Thank you.

    Mark2019-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great break in this comfy & cosy cottage. There are many footpaths that start almost from the door, including of course the Wales Costal Path, so perfect for all sorts of walks. The kitchen had everything we could possibly have needed and being open plan meant the cooks could still chat with the others. An added bonus, the Llaneli Costal parkrun starts is just a 5 min walk away. We would definitely recommend this cottage and if returning to the area would look to stay there again.

We would like to welcome you to Pemberley, an Edwardian house set in the sunny seaside village of Pwll, Carmarthenshire. Whether it's surf, walks, cycling, historic castles and towns or just lazing about, Pwll is an excellent base to explore South and West Wales, including Cardiff, Swansea, Tenby and Llandeilo. Please note room price is for a super king-size bed for two guests with sea view. We have three rooms available, priced at current nightly charge per room.
Pemberley is a 5 bedroom house although only 3 bedrooms are available, located on a small lane overlooking the Burry estuary and the Gower peninsula . This listing is for a sea view room with a super king-size bed. We have two cats and two dogs, and therefore are pet friendly. There is a pretty secluded patio area to the front of the house with various garden furniture and guests are welcome to use the chimenea. The area is very quiet, with lots of visiting small birds to the garden and a squirrel or two! There is a pub/ restaurant in the village just a 5 minute stroll from the house and a village shop. For fine dining, "Sosban" restaurant is a must and less than 5 minutes drive or a leisurely stroll along the millennium coastal path will take you right to the door.
Pwll is a small seaside village in Carmarthenshire and is a direct access route to Pembrey Country park, Burry Port and Kidwelly, but traffic is not an issue. The village has a mix of Welsh and English speaking residents, and you will often hear Welsh spoken in the pub and shop. People in Pwll are known as Bonau's which hails back to when the village produced cabbages for Llanelli and Swansea markets and roughly translates to cabbage stump because it's said that's all they had to eat! The area has a rich smuggling history and has stories of ghost ships on the estuary. Amelia Earhart the first woman to cross the Atlantic by air landed her plane safely on the estuary in Pwll.

Summer or winter, ideal for couples or families interested in the outdoors or those simply wanting to "chill" away from the city. Perfect setting with uninterrupted views over the Gower peninsular and Carmarthenshire coast, on the coastal walking path and cycle track. The Jack Nicklaus golf course at Macynys and the Asburnham links course in Burry Port are very close by. Nearby facilities include the Llanelli Wildfowl Centre, Llanelly House, Kidwelly Castle and the Gower beaches.
The apartment is on the first floor and it is made up of two good sized double bedrooms with hanging space and chest of drawers. There is a living space and open plan kitchen with all modern appliances including dishwasher and washing machine. There is an electric hob, oven and microwave. There is a fridge/freezer and coffee maker. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and screen. It is double glazed throughout and has electric storage heaters and ample hot water.
Llanelli is a growing town in rural West Wales. It has its history in coal mining and heavy industry but all this has been replaced by light industry and services. The local people are noted for their warmth and generosity. You will often hear Welsh spoken in the local shops, restaurants and pubs. The seafront has been extensively redeveloped for leisure and outdoor activities. The apartment is facing the beach and you will see many people out cycling or walking with their families and dogs almost whatever the weather. The Black Mountains are close by and the countryside is always green. The scenery is spectacular and the weather often changes hour to hour. You can expect to experience all the seasons in a single day!

The accommodation was excellent, spotlessly clean, really comfortable for our family having been out and about running and rambling around Pembrey Park and the magnificent nearby coastline. The carrot cake on arrival was a lovely touch, which was demolished by our boys. We will definitely book here again if we are back to visit the area.

Even has a deck with bench outside if you are lucky with the weather. The location is ideal if you want to be within driving distance to to Pembrokeshire, Gower and more (not much in the town itself, although the local restaurant did an amazing dinner!). Rob was a great host and very prompt with replies to our messages and queries.

  • The room is as shown as pics. It's spacious for single bedroom, comfortable and clean. I didn't meet the host, it's self check in /out and I didn't contact him anyway since there's email beforehand that explained the process. Although overall spaces were clean, there's a bit rust and moldy here and there. It's a residential neighborhood so almost nothing to see/buy here. Dollis Hills station connected to Piccadilly line (Heathrow Tube) via Green Park. The only stairs to overcome was on Dollis Hills. Overall it's worth the value. It would be much better if there's any info to use all the appliances or tips here and there since we didn't have any host to explain everything.

Please note room price is for a double bed with sea view for two guests . We have three rooms available, priced at current nightly charge per room. Secure bike storage for cyclists.
Pemberley is a 5 bedroom house although only 3 bedrooms are available, located on a small lane overlooking the Burry estuary and the Gower peninsula . This listing is for a double bed with sea view. For fine dining, "Sosban"" restaurant is a must and less than 5 minutes drive or a leisurely stroll along the millennium coastal path will take you to the door.
Pwll is a small seaside village in Carmarthenshire and is a direct access route to Pembrey Country park and Kidwelly, but traffic is not an issue.

Attractive and comfortable terraced house in small Welsh village, situated 10 minutes drive to beautiful sandy beaches (Pembrey), Kidwelly Castle, Burry Port harbour, and with easy access to Pembrokeshire, Brecon Beacons and the Gower. The house is next door to the village stores and 20 meters from the Pizza Takeaway. We are a short walk to Ffos Las horse racing course and a five minute walk from a newly planted Woodland Trust First World War Commemorative wood with lovely walks. Dogs welcome.
We live off site so the whole house would be for your use with entrance via a key safe
National Botanic Gardens are a 15 minute drive away
  • Great central location, next to the shop, the shop owner was very nice and helpful as was the host, great pubs nearby and it was not too far from Cardiff or Swansea. Nice beaches nearby, great coffee shop about 3 miles south, close to horse track and horse trekking. House has everything you need and was very tidy. There is a house book with all the information you need to know from locations of things in the house to phone numbers and locations of everything nearby from grocery stores to restaurants to emergency contacts. Coupons for all local restaurants, and also books on things to do in Wales. Many pamphlets to help direct your trip the right direction. Cheers.

  • Great little cottage with a very well supplied kitchen (kettle, fridge, m-wave, oven, toastie maker, plates, cutlery, tea etc) and living room (games, maps of area, DVD/ videos). Location a bit of a drive to M-way but some nice green spaces and a castle within 15-mins, but you need a car! House was clean and offers plenty of space for a family with 3 kids. Small back garden w. patio was nice for afternoon cuppa or bbq in the sun. Next door to corner shop with milk, bread and basics and 30 m from chippie for evening munchies. Parking is on the street in front of house. Great comfy small house close to delights of SE Wales.

Super clean and modern (the kids thought it was soooooo 'fancy') The beds are really comfy and the carpets are really fluffy. Everything is new and clean which was lush. Set within the greenest surrounds of Carmarthenshire countryside, our 19th Century cottage offers a warm, friendly place to relax and enjoy all of what Carmarthenshire has to offer.
A hearty cooked breakfast is included on the weekends to set you up for the day ahead or recover from the night before. During the weekdays we will provide a continental breakfast which includes cereals, toast, croissants, a range of conserves and tea/coffee. The kitchen is only available during breakfast times. We are set close to the popular wedding venues of Sylen Lakes and Stradey Park Hotel and can offer taxi collections from either venue (£10 supplementary charge). We have a small dog called Morsey who although is hypoallergenic, may cause problems for guests who have a sensitive allergy to dogs.
The village of Five Roads offers a local pub which serves up freshly cooked pub grub and a carvery on Sundays. Also within walking distance is the Waenwyllt restaurant which offers a great evening of fine dining, utilising local produce. 10% discount on food when you stay with us! The nearby town of Llanelli offers a good selection of high street shops (Trostre Retail Park) as well as an Odeon cinema, restaurants, bars and a theatre. Pembrey country park is a short drive from the house. It is set inside 500 acres of woodland and alongside 8 miles of golden sands. The outdoor activity centre offers horseriding, a dry ski slope, golf, archery and a range of other activities. Ffos Las is a horse racing course which is a couple of miles away, which offers racing fixtures throughout the year.

The Annex is a rural paradise, set in a 2 acre smallholding in a wooded valley. It is ideal for 2 people wanting to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the grounds or explore the best of Carmarthenshires beaches, walks, castles and towns.
The annex has one bedroom, a bathroom with bath and shower, kitchen / living area. It is a wonderful base to explore Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and the Gower as they are all a short drive away. You might just want to stay at home as the annex is river fronted; dippers and kingfishers being regular visitors. We have also created a wildlife haven; keeping many indigenous plants as well as adding plants to bring in wildlife. The area is surrounded by woodland, which again brings in many woodland birds. We have put in paths to make access around the grounds easier
Kidwelly is only a mile or so away - you can walk to it through footpaths and lanes, or you can drive. Why not explore the castle and ancient church, walk down by the canal and quay, visit the industrial museum (it is free) It is worth checking the Kidwelly town website to see if there are any activities going on through the summer months. We are river fronted, so the sound of water is constant. Deciduous woodland is around the property, so we get a lot of different wildlife. We have a wild life meadow (nectar cafe) so get plenty of bees and butterflies.
  • We had a lovely time Cathy’s home is great and in a very tranquil setting waking up to the chickens and the running water was also very peaceful thanks for a great few days

    Diane2018-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Idyllic quiet spot filled with bird song and river. Very friendly hosts. Lovely stay.

    Simon2017-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just beautiful. If you're looking for a secluded getaway nestled in a scenic valley, but still close to many places to visit (especially castles and the amazing Welsh coast) then this is for you. Perfectly appointed, great space and to top it off Cathy and Paul and their menagerie of animals are the sweetest. Great chats had, and a lovely stay. Thank you so much for having us!

    Zoe Linnane2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely location and friendly host. Loved the suntrap, animals and the sound of the river.

    Paul2016-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • The listing description was entirely welcome. Catherine was there to welcome us and as promised there were various items of food and milk in the fridge which was very helpful because we arrived late. We were only staying a short time but found it a delightful place which was comfortable and most peaceful. It felt secure.

    Sian2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cathy was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The site is part of the history of the area. It is a perfect base for visiting the many attractions that are all within a short journey time. It is well served by roads and supermarkets within a few miles drive. Beaches that are miles in length are close, with a friendly pub serving home cooked food just up the road a bit for that special meal. The flat itself is perfect for a couple with shower/bath and fully appointed kitchen. The garden is full of wildlife, as are the river and nearby wooded areas. Walks are easily accessible. Cathy has provided a getaway in a perfect location that is impossible to not enjoy. A welcome pack provides essentials.

    David2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here with Catherine. The area was stunning, easy enough to get to with Catherine's detailed directions and right on the river which was lovely and provided a wonderfully relaxing background noise. We were so happy with the lodgings; clean, cosy and beautiful little touches everywhere. One of the most comfortable beds I have EVER slept in. A beautiful escape to the countryside, everyone was so friendly and Kidwelly Castle was incredible. Thank you Catherine!

    Prudence2015-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were very comfy in the annex. The garden and animals were a lovely addition to our stay. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

  • Such a lovely house; a great home from home. Big comfy beds, tea and coffee in the cupboards. The wood burner was very useful this weekend in the freezing cold. Very close to Burry Port; literally at the end of the garden. We will definitely be back to stay.

    Kathryn2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah is certainly a thoughtful host. The accommodation met our expectations and some. From finding the venue to gaining access, spotlessly clean, comfortable, attentive. Our weekend was a gathering of friends who are quite fussy women of a certain age. All of us were impressed. Our stay was a treat! Thank you so much!

We would like to welcome you to Pemberley, an Edwardian house set in the sunny seaside village of Pwll, Carmarthenshire. Whether it's surf, walks, cycling, historic castles and towns or just lazing about, Pwll is an excellent base to explore South and West Wales, including Cardiff, Swansea, Tenby, Llandeilo. Please note room price is for a large double bed for two guests with garden view. We have three rooms available, priced at current nightly charge per room. Secure bike storage for cyclists.
Pemberley is a 5 bedroom house although only 3 bedrooms are available, located on a small lane overlooking the Burry estuary and the Gower peninsula . This listing is for a large double bed with garden view. For fine dining, "Sosban"" restaurant is a must and less than 5 minutes drive or a leisurely stroll along the millennium coastal path will take you right to the door.
Pwll is a small seaside village in Carmarthenshire and is a direct access route to Pembrey Country park and Kidwelly, but traffic is not an issue.
  • We’ve had a lovely stay. A very welcoming family with a lovely place. Thank you so much for being so welcoming to us and our dogs.

  • Not to be missed. Had a great time staying with Ruth and Erin. Very chilled. Felt like staying with friends. Great room, very comfy bed. Forgot I was actually working - felt like I was on holiday. Pwll is certainly underated as a holiday destination. There is miles of coastal path and beautiful views. Finally where many Airbnbs have forgetton about the final "b", ruth and erin do not disappoint. Go find out! Look forward to returning soon. Thanks, T
