  • this space is perfect to get some space from the chaos of the city. The house is very clean and Ms Melba is the perfect host.

  • This space was a great getaway from the city. Quiet, peaceful, and you can see all the stars at night from the deck area.

    Oly2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay. There is a great view of the lake directly behind the house and the pellet is a nice touch. I would recommend.

  • AMAZING! We loved our stay!

  • Melba’s treehouse is the perfect cozy get away! Right off the Delaware River and close to abundant greenery and nature, it’s exactly what my partner and i were looking for to wind down and reflect on the end of 2019. We Were blown away by the intricate and intimate interior design touches found throughout the treehouse. I think my favorite thing was the giant map that had these cute push pins for folks to show where they’ve come from or been. The space was very clean, inviting, and warm and Melba was very kind and welcoming. We wish we stayed much longer but we anticipate coming back again very soon!

    Hadiya2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing stay at the treehouse over a long weekend. Melba greeted us with muffins and showed us around the place. It's a nice size for a couple and was perfectly warm with the pellet stove. The place is within easy driving distance to Easton for cafes and restaurants as well as a few local hikes.

  • Cozy space with tons of thoughtful touches. I wasn’t there for very long but I would stay again. Melba was kind and accommodating

  • This was one of our all-time favorite AirBnB stays (and we have been doing AirBnB regularly for over 6 years). Karin's space was warm and welcoming, comfortable and clean. We were greeted upon arrival and enjoyed the most amazing breakfast and amenities. We felt right at home!

    Meg2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Karin and Gabe’s place was everything we expected and more. Perfect place for a very private and calm getaway weekend. Gabe was very informative when we arrived and Karin was very pleasant in serving us breakfast before checkout. Whenever we need another quick getaway from the busy city we will definitely be returning here ! Thank you again guys !

    Stephanie2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this space. We came to hike at the gap and it was a perfect space for our needs. We loved the little wood burning stove and the books were amazing could have spent a week and just read. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great. Karin and her husband were wonderful hosts and gave us all the space and privacy we needed.

    Bruce2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The guest space / in-law suite was very nice. The queen bed was very good as well. They supplied coffee via a kureg and a couple of granola bars. Great for the mornings I was on the go. Thank you, Karin & Gabe!

    Brett2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Karin's home is everything and more! I had read the wonderful reviews, and yet, it exceeded my exceptions. She certainly has an eye for beauty and if you stay in her home you will be surrounded by it. We hope to return!

  • A great place for peace and quiet

    Dona2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second stay with Karin and Gabe, and it definitely won’t be our last. Their hospitality always exceed expectations and truly make us feel like special guests. Like our last visit, they served a light breakfast that was delightful (this time in their lovely dining room due to raining weather). The beautiful home and property makes for a perfect weekend retreat that seems designed to rejuvenate you. We honestly can’t get enough and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Karin and Gabe!

There is nothing like a quiet few days in the country to revitalize your spirits. Equidistant to NYC and Philadelphia. Poconos just a short drive away. Situated on Mountain Lake. One bedroom cozy abode. Newly renovated downstairs living area. Very private. Antique-decorated living area, new appliances, modern bath. Perfect for a romantic getaway or for a small group of friends.
Only 60 miles from NYC and 63 miles from Philadelphia. Plenty of skiing and snow sports available in the area. Go apple picking at the nearby orchards. Explore the fresh produce of all the local farms. Search out the perfect antiques or mid-modern designs and the many antique shops and outlets. Many great quality restaurants in the area. Or stay on the lake, which offers a sandy beach area in the summertime, a beautiful hiking path through the mountainside, or a refreshing walk through the antique cottages that surround the lake. Our one bedroom cozy abode is in a single family home in a newly renovated downstairs living area. It is very private on a small lake. The living room dining room is separate and has new appliances and a new modern bath with step inside shower. Space is perfect for a romantic getaway or for a small group of friends.
The neighborhood is very quiet and surrounds a lake. All the houses are built into the mountains, and the lake is about 3 miles walkable around. Along the lake are several hiking trails, and an area connected to an underground spring that has been tapped with a continuous flow. People travel for miles to fill up on the purified, crisp water from the spigot. The lake is great for swimming, canoeing, fishing, and in the wintertime ice skating and ice fishing. Within 15 miles there are several small towns: Belvidere, Hope, Oxford, Washington, Blairstown; each with their own fascinating history and story, with several restaurants, antique shops, and places of interest in each town. The area was mostly settled pre-revolution and some of the houses and buildings date back to the early 18th century. About 20-30 miles out lie the bigger towns of Hackettstown, Philipsburg, Easton, Stroudsburg, Allentown, and several resorts inside the Poconos mountains. Each of these places has fabulous shopping, great restaurants, microbreweries, great bars, stunning architecture, all worth a visit!
  • Looks even better in person. Really great, quiet stay in the countryside and very cozy. Owner is very friendly and welcoming. Has TV equipped with Netflix, as well as a Bluetooth sound system. Has all the amenities you would need except for a hair dryer, so bring your own. No streetlights outside so make sure you use your high beams when driving there at night. Bedsheets were a little dusty but it wasn’t too much of a problem. Overall fantastic stay, and would recommend to friends

    Tim2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing. Quiet great space . Clean and beautiful location. Really Enjoyed stay

    Sara2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a cute spot! Great place to take walks around the lake and come in and warm up and get cozy on a snowy afternoon. Would recommend to anyone looking for a little getaway to spend quality time with someone special. Also - really cool antique/PA Primitive style decor and pieces!

    Hannah2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical place this was. Perfect place for a couple, or small family. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, with a really nice view of mountain lake. Very private area, with natural touches such as this gorgeous moss roofed shed in the back yard. Not to mention walls of bamboo. Which made for green scenery in the winter. Very peaceful and quiet in the area. The suite seems to be newly renovated, very open layout, nicely decorated with an antique vibe. I must add the art on the walls is magnificent! I do have to counter what another review says about the heater being too loud.. If you are like me, and you need that "white noise" to sleep, you will enjoy it. Does get a tad hot in the bedroom, but you can always text the host to have it lowered, or bring your own light blanket. (there are two down comforters there)There is no lights on the stairs or by the outside doorway, which I enjoyed because it made me feel closer to nature. If you have a phone with a flashlight, you'll be fine. I'd recommend this stay to anyone looking to enjoy some quiet time by the lake. I'll definitely be staying with Aaron again on my next trip to New Jersey!

    Carly2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Aaron’s place to attend a wedding nearby. He accommodated me last minute. The place is cute and very clean. It is also very private. If i needed a place in this area again, i would stay here.

    Teri2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Loved loved loved my weekend at Aaron’s place! It was a perfect getaway from the city for my boyfriend and I. His local advice on food and brewery was amazing! Will definitely book again for a nature getaway.

    Rothie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy! Easy instructions. Very peaceful

    Zoe2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely romantic getaway from the city. Aaron’s Place is quaint, clean, and is perfect for two. The surrounding area has amazing scenery and with a car you can go on some amazing hiking trails. If I had to pick anything I’d say t’s a little dim in the spot, but the charm is def there. Thank you again Aaron!

Enjoy a full sized apartment connected to an 18th century stone house. This private apartment is fully equipped with a full bath, kitchen, living/dining room and queen sized bed. We are 60 miles from the Lincoln Tunnel and 75 miles from Philadelphia. Nearby are excellent restaurants, brew pubs, train station, college, historical sites, lakes, rivers and places to hike. Skiing is 1/2 hour away in Mount Shawnee. The apartment also has its own space for parking next to a private entrance.
This apartment is bright and roomy and is located in a quiet neighborhood. There is a bustling town about 1 mile away. Directly in front of the apartment, there is small outdoor patio area with a table and 2 chairs for guests to use.
The neighborhood is residential, and has lots of trees and space. It has a nice country feel, but is close to town. We are located about 1/2 mile from Rt. 46, (the Main St. of Hackettstown), and within the same distance, there is the county library, a produce stand and a train station. Drive a few miles east and you can find fast food, Walmart, big grocery stores, movie theaters, etc. If you drive west on Rt. 46, you will go into beautiful northwest NJ, driving along the Pequest river, to state parks, to the Delaware Water Gap, to Hot Dog Johnnys and other long unchanged small businesses. Go another direction, and Rt. 80 can be accessed in about 10 minutes--about 5 miles.
  • My husband and I were in town for my best friend's wedding and found this lovely apartment within 15 minutes from the venue. Norma and Harry were super nice and allowed us to book with them well in advance to reserve their place for this event. We were very thankful. This apartment has a beautiful rustic touch with everything we could need for a weekend and was perfect. Even my make-up artist for the wedding complimented on it. Norma and Harry came over after we were settled to introduce themselves and show us how to work the pellet stove. Very lovely and kind people and such warm hospitality. Even welcomed us with some snacks and a note upon arrival. The area is very nice and quiet too. Perfect for sleeping in if you have time. We very much enjoyed our stay there and wish we could have stayed longer.

  • We visited Hackettstown for a wedding and stayed one week. This place is located is located near downtown and close to everything. It is located in an historic structure and is quite large. There is adequate parking. The interior is quaint and quirky (it was once a carriage house). It was very quiet and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The price was great and we loved having the place to ourselves. Very relaxing. We will stay here again.

  • Nice and peacefull stay without stress!

    Sandra2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Norma and Harry's place was an excellent stay. Tucked away in the hills, but close enough to all the action! Look forward to visiting again!

    William2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Norma and Harry leave no detail untouched. This house is absolutely charming inside and out, well equipped with everything you need for a relaxed stay.

    Sue2019-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great value in a great location close to lots of hiking and outdoor activities.

    Devyn2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Norma and Harry were very personable. It was a beautiful home and I am very happy to have stayed there!

    Kendra2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Norma and Harry have considered every aspect of guest comfort and ease. The physical space is beautiful and each room is furnished to more than meet the needs of visitors. Alt Norma and Harry are warm and welcoming hosts, from their pre-stay greetings, to fresh apple cake upon arrival, and the many thoughtful touches throughout. The new half bathroom in the bedroom area is a great addition! I will visit again and heartily recommend their place.

  • This little cottage is so adorable, boasting two bedrooms and room for five adults to sleep comfortably. The farm property is beautiful and there is a pond and a path for hiking where we enjoyed lots of wildlife along the way. The amenities for the cottage met our needs, it was clean and our host even left us a few added treats on the table. We had a girls weekend here while attending a conference about 15 minutes away at the Tuscarora Inn. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. David was a great host from beginning to end. Easy to communicate with, generous and his cottage was truly delightful.

  • The cottage is perfect for a comfortable stay. Whether you plan to explore the area or spend most of your time at the house & on the property...it’s perfect! So many nice touches, including a welcoming note complete with snacks and a bottle of wine. I hope we get a chance to stay here again in the future.

    Caitlin2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved that we could enjoy the weekend with the dogs. We had some snow and it was very cozy.

    Amanda2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely, relaxing weekend at David and Melody’s place. Everything was exactly as pictured. They allowed our dog to run free in their gorgeous meadows. A short drive away in the small town of Delaware Water Gap, PA, we found homemade sweet and savory pies as well as a sake distillery/bar. At the farm, we enjoyed using the propane outdoor fire pit to cut the chilly fall weather. A note to couples: the bedrooms upstairs are separated by double doors, but you do have to walk through the king bedroom to get downstairs. We were two couples and did not find it an inconvenience at all. It’s a cottage and we’re all good friends. 🙂

    Karen2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nice location, great house. Pet friendly and great hosts. Was visiting family and I will use again next time we visit.

    Kara2019-11-04T00:00:00Z

    Joseph2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the entire house and surrounding property. The open-concept layout of the space, along with the stylish décor and touches, made it feel like we were living in luxury (but without having to break the bank). I appreciated the notes/instructions (i.e. check-in/check-out rules; other details about the house, etc.) being detailed, but not too over-the-top (it was just the right amount of information that we needed. The ease of the fireplace (having access from two sides; the firewood, etc) was also a plus. Highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a quick drive (1.5 hour) from NYC to stay in a remote and comfortable setting that feels lavish... My only complaint was that there were more insects than I'm used to living with (mostly harmless lady bugs and stink bugs), but then again that's to be expected in a cabin in the woods (I'm blaming it on mother nature).

    Gennaro2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

  • I took my team of 8 here for our annual off-site retreat, and the house greatly exceeded our expectations! It was really clean, modernly designed, and had just the right amount of other outdoor activities to do if people wanted to take a break from our teambuilding exercises. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could've needed, so we had a blast cooking and cleaning together too. Thank you! Would definitely stay here again.

Tucked away in the beautiful and scenic northern New Jersey countryside, The Inn at Millrace Pond has been bringing a touch of rustic charm to locals and visitors alike since 1769. Our property was home to a Moravian Grist Mill, and a staple in the Hope community. You'll still find that same essence in everything that our twenty-three-acre estate offers. Food is served in the restaurant Fri to Sunday and the fireside tavern is open every day. Full hot breakfast is included at no extra cost.
In Hope, NJ, a gristmill once supplied grain to George Washington’s Revolutionary Army. Today, the gristmill is one of three historical buildings that make up The Inn at Millrace Pond. The setting: A walk along the inn’s brick pathways winds between a brook, a stone cottage. The inn’s guest rooms balance rustic charm with contemporary amenities. Many of the rooms feature antique four-poster beds. Whenever you tire of the pioneer lifestyle, immerse yourself in wireless Internet access. Cable TV and private bathrooms are in each room. Downstairs in the wine cellar, you can find remnants of the mill’s water wheel as well as Fireside Tavern, which serves malt whiskey around a natural stone fireplace. (Tavern is open food fri to Sunday and the tavern bar is open all the time.
23 acres of land for you to walk around and one block to town center
  • We loved our stay here! Hope is a little town with a lot of history and it was so fun to stay at this B&B in an old Moravian mill. The buildings are really cool and our room was quite spacious, with everything we needed. The breakfast was great and we really appreciated that we could bring our dog! All in all, one of my favorite B&Bs I've ever stayed in, would love to come back.

  • This is an amazing historic building with really beautiful rooms. The Innkeeper was very friendly and accommodating and the tavern service was excellent. This is a very old building and it is accordingly creaky and not 100% modern, but if you are seeking authenticity and atmosphere then all of that is a plus! Would recommend and stay again. Thanks!

  • This is such a lovely place. It is super quaint -- it feels rustic and somewhat removed, yet it is also very well-equipped (e.g. kitchen, bathroom, blankets, heaters)! We stayed for two nights to get some peace & quiet and did not want to leave! We absolutely loved our stay. Phyllis was a great host, and was quick to respond when a need arose.

  • A perfect space to escape the “rat-race” called life, and an opportunity to experience beautiful vistas of this gorgeous land. If inclined, you can find a yoga class /gym in Blairstown and don’t miss a breakfast at Donna’s Runway cafe at the airport, a throwback to the 50”s. Have fun and explore...Phyllis is an impeccable host to guide you.

  • Four of us were in town for a wedding and Lisa was very flexible with our timelines. She was always quick to respond and so kind each time. The apartment was immaculate and gorgeous—it felt as if we were staying at a friend’s house. We would recommend Lisa and her home to anyone staying in the area and we hope to be back soon.

  • Great location with very comfortable and stylish finishes. Hope is in a great location to enjoy all the NJ/PA attractions within half hour to an hour drive. Stayed for 3 days and was able to take in 2 Vineyards, 1 Famers Market and even a drive-in Movie theater. It's a great getaway from NYC less than 2 hours drive away. Would definitely book here again!

  • My sister and I stayed in Lisa’s place whilst on a trip from London, UK where we wanted to hike the Delaware Water Gap. The place is beautiful, looks like the pictures, if not better! In a great location and with all the necessary amenities. Lisa’s hospitality was fantastic, with excellent communication, local tips, and fantastic homemade scones. Will definitely be back and recommend!

  • Hope is such a beautiful area so many things to do that I didn't know about. The location to our venue was great and we enjoyed our stay immensely.

    Bryan2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was wonderful. I stayed there getting ready for my wedding with my daughter, and then with my husband on our wedding night. The place is comfortable, spacious, and beautiful. We loved everything about it. Every room is wonderful. And the easy walk to the Inn at Millrace Pond, our wedding location, was a huge help. The location was just a tad noisier than expected, given that it is a tiny town in a rural area. But we were able rest regardless, and prepare for the wedding beautifully. Thank you for a very nice stay in a beautiful spot.

  • My friends and I had a wonderful time at Lisa’s place. Lisa let us check in early; gave us great local tips; and was friendly and sociable. Lisa’s place was exactly as advertised and was comfortable for four people. I would highly suggest booking Lisa’s place if you are interested in the outdoors, relaxing, or like drinking wine. Thank you, Lisa and Charles. Looking forward to coming back. Ian

  • Fantastic AirB&B experience! Thanks to Lisa, we immediately felt welcome in Hope! She treated us like we were old friends in town for the week- giving wonderful suggestions of things to do in our free time and making sure we had everything we needed! We just LOVED this walk up apartment in the quaint Morovian community of Hope, New Jersey. Spanning the entire upper floor it has plenty of natural light and a private entrance. The windows on all sides look out on the unique Morovian architecture, Antique Junction storefronts, and a pretty sculpture garden on one side. The freshly renovated two bedroom apartment was tastefully decorated in a stylish combination of antique wide plank flooring and more modern furniture! The kitchen and bath were well appointed and very clean! Lisa was very attentive and we enjoyed hunting for several little treasures in her antique store across the street! We had a wonderful week and can’t wait to come back!

Greenwich is a historic building built in 1888 with an apartment displaying an antique decor bedroom, victorian furnished living room, eat in full kitchen, and a full bathroom suite, above an art gallery and antique shop in historic Belvidere NJ. In short walking distance, there are plenty of cafes, antique shops, and the historical courthouse square with a historical museum, Ghost Tours and Victorian festivals in season.
This building is a charm in a historical town, that stands out with its Victorian facade. Greenwich features 2 apartments on the second floor that each have 1 bedroom that were recently renovated with wood flooring and new paint. I added extra touches with antique furniture and some vintage and modern decorations that have a classic antique or Victorian flare to help bring back the look and style of the building built over 130 years ago. I want my guests to truly feel like they are brought back to the Victorian era with their stay. I am looking forward to having you check it out and visit!
The historical courthouse square has original victorian architecture for the public offices and homes. Many places are in within 1 block of the apartment, such as the the deli, Thisilldous Eatery, George's place (bar), Country Gates Players (Performing arts theater). Within 500 ft there is the Nonpareil restaurant, Uncle Buck's Diner, Belvidere Diner (2 miles away) Belvedere Day Spa, and King's Gambit Coffee Shop.
  • What a great place

    Frank2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Keely's place is a legitimate jewel on the border of Jersey and Pennsylvania. It's a turn of the century antique store with tastefully and accurately appointed bedrooms upstairs. It's rich in history and a feast for the eyes. Keely was so easy to work with and was on top of questions I had with awesome communication. The store and airbnb are situated on a quiet main street in the town of Belvidere. You literally cannot miss this hauntingly beautiful space just walking by. The upstairs bedrooms are very separate from the antique store so you will never mingle or hear anyone downstairs. Furniture and art are all period pieces and just gives you a great vintage sensibility. Superb light washes in from the gorgeous old windows in each room. There is even a kitchenette to help you make basic food. We utilized this space and the antique store for a photo shoot and could not be happier with how it turned out. It's a beautiful space and whether you are spending some quiet time relaxing or photographing, this place should not be missed.

    Eric2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • My dad and son loved the place. We got to canoe from the house private dock to the lake’s beach, play at the beach, then canoe back. Nice family vibe! My 5 year old son hadn’t ever done anything like that before. On the way back, he climbed out of the canoe onto a floating dock in the middle of the lake, and called it his “private rock” lol. What a fun time. Great fireplaces inside and out. Plenty of firewood. We caught a little bluegill from the boat too.

  • Lisa’s cabin is cozy and near attractions. Walmart Supercenter is 20 mins, Shawnee Ski Resort is 15 mins, and Bushkill falls are only 25 mins (all driving) away. It’s a bit hard to find take out or delivery after 9 pm so I would be prepared in terms of groceries. There were thoughtful touches by Lisa throughout the place, which made it feel more homey. We enjoyed a nice bbq and the fire pit outside. I would absolutely recommend.

  • Our stay at Lisa’s home was amazing from start to finish. She was super quick with all her responses, checking was so simple, the place was beautiful, and she checked in with us before we left! The property is close to many activities like camelback resort, escape rooms, etc and to restaurant and stores like Walmart. Truly everything you would need in a home away from home. Thanks again Lisa!

  • Lisa is super friendly and a great host. Her place is wonderful. The house is very tasteful. The instructions were very clear and the communications were very prompt. The place was sparkling clean when we reached. It's about a 30-minute drive from the ski resort. Her house even has some board games. The place does not have wifi. So if you are looking to disconnect from the digital world this place is perfect. The only downside for me is the place is priced at a very steep price point. Besides that its a great Airbnb. Would give this place 4.5 stars. Highly recommend.

  • Nice relaxing evening away from it all in the woods. It is rustic (make sure you bring a flashlight) but the essentials are provided for and that was all I needed on this trip. Sitting outside by the fire was the absolute best!

Come relax in quaint Portland, Pennsylvania—minutes from the Appalachian Trail and directly overlooking the Delaware River. This historic home has been thoughtfully restored by NYC-based creatives for a retreat from hectic city life.
Unplug and decompress in this stately little home that dates back to 1850. Located just off Interstate 80 (90 minutes to NYC), this charming red brick house has 3 bedrooms equipped with full-sized beds, comfy linens, exposed beams and original wide-plank flooring. Collectors at heart, we outfitted the house with many pieces salvaged from homes of the mid-late 1800s, while adding some modern conveniences (including a Sonos sound system in the living room and Chromecast in the den!). Relax in our white-washed bathroom with antique claw foot tub and pedestal sink. Cook a simple meal in our kitchen with farmhouse sink. Read a book on our chesterfield sofa. Sip some whisky in the backyard around a campfire or warm up inside by the wood stove. Our first home has brought us so much joy, we wanted to share it. 5 miles to Delaware Water Gap and Appalachian Trail, near Camelback Ski/ Camel Beach, 10 minutes to Shawnee, 20 minutes to Crossings Outlet and a short walk to general store, mini mart, post office, chocolate shop, antique store and thrift shop. We're located directly in front of the Delaware River in downtown Portland. There is WIFI/internet, and we just installed a TV with Chromecast for easy Netflix and HBO viewing (if you have those accounts). This is an old house that sings (you may hear occasional window creeks and radiator clangs) but we promise it's full of happy songs.
Portland is a quaint, tiny town established in 1876. Our home is located on a block of historic homes just along the edge of downtown, overlooking the Delaware River. Many folks come from all over NEPA and beyond to get a sunset view of the Delaware Water Gap from the Portland-Columbia pedestrian footbridge (located across the street). Summertime is perfect for tubing, fishing, canoeing/kayaking and hiking. Wintertime is perfect for card games and watching the trains pass by.
  • Clean, excellent beds, plenty of towels, all the amenities you need for a good stay. Would recommend to anyone!

  • This house is lovely!! My two friends and I came for the weekend for a snowboarding trip but got rained out, so we spent most of the time inside the house, cooking, playing board games, and listening to records. The space is so charming and genuinely cared for, both bathrooms are gorgeous, the beds were super comfortable, and there are thoughtful touches everywhere. We loved this house very much!

  • This is the second time I stay at this property and I can only say that I wish I had more vacation time and/or Holidays to book it more often. The property is very well kept and you have all the amenities you may think of when staying away from home. We are nature lovers and this property is always our first choice when going away prior to the beginning of school. Because the house is right by the river we brought a raft this year and we had a blast!!!. Helen is an excellent Host and we cant thank her enough for letting enjoy her beautiful property.

    Annia2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean, well maintained. I’ve stayed in quit a bit of air bnbs and this place was by far our favorite. P.S. spectacular view of the River

    Neil2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Helen is a terrific hostess, and the house is both beautiful and clean, as well as wonderfully situated if you want to use the Delaware. We kayaked from Portland to the house and from the house to Belvidere, and thoroughly enjoyed both trips. You need to bring your own boats, however. But if you just want to sit by the campfire or inside and enjoy the view, it's perfect.

    Murray2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and quiet river front property. Owed was very responsive and great to work with. We arrived and the AC had been running and the house was ice cold on a 90 degree day. We had a great time fishing off the dock and enjoying the fire pit.

    Tim2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We have rented this beautiful home right on the river a couple of times and each time has been better than the last. The owners are fantastic to work with, super accommodating and all-around a great host The house is great for a group and plenty of room to spread out. Being right on the river the view is spectacular anytime of day or night. Everything in the house is in great shape and always super clean. We love to barbecue and the brand new grill was such a bonus. The fire pit outside it’s great. Perfect place for a getaway weekend. Highly recommend-five stars

  • Beautiful home, and very comfortable. Everything is self-service and well-appointed. My only complaint, and it's small, is that the continental breakfast is on the sugar-y side. I would love some healthier and filling options. Would stay here again.

  • We made a last minute reservation for one night during the weekend. The room was comfortable, the house was beautiful, and, best of all, Judy Ann was a great host. She put out a wonderful spread for breakfast, we had a great conversation, and she gave us a lot of great recommendations for things to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

The offerings for the continental breakfast were plentiful. The scones delicious! The refrigerator was stocked and the “service bar” on the second floor also well stocked. No dust anywhere! Judy made us the most delicious blueberry scones that my fiancé and I are still talking about. The restaurants are surprisingly delicious and the town has a refreshing charm and quaintness about it. Everyone we interacted with was lovely. Great breweries to boot! We will definitely return when looking to get away from it all. If you’re thinking about booking, just do it already!

  • Edie’s place is absolutely wonderful. Upon arrival we were greeted by an absolutely spotless apartment that had everything we needed for our stay. Edie thoughtfully left us delicious treats and made sure all the basics were taken care of. There were plenty of towels and extra linens if necessary. The kitchen was well-stocked with what you need to cook a meal. The apartment itself is beautiful with antique furniture and creative touches. The king-size bed was an absolute dream and we got the best sleep! Edie is an amazing host who was always quick to respond. She was very accommodating and thoughtful. We didn’t feel like we were away on a trip - we felt like we were home. Thank you, Edie! We look forward to visiting again!

  • Staying at the "Cabbage" was lovely - very charming and secluded, but also knowing Edith was immediately responsive if I had any questions made it an even better experience. This is very close to the Lakota Wolf Preserve, and just a bit north of Flemington, NJ. This was a great place for a quiet getaway to be able to reset!

  • Edith's place is a great getaway in a quiet setting off the beaten path but no more than a few minutes drive to great eateries and other attractions. The king-size bed is a beautiful piece of furniture and a super-comfortable sleep!

  • If you're looking for a quiet getaway, look no further. The "cabbage" is very well-maintained and is truly a sight to see. Though the pictures capture its beauty, it is better seen up close and personal. I honestly couldn't believe I found such a charming place where all of my needs were met thanks to superhost, Edith. What's more, I slept better than I've slept in months in the oversized king bed. Edith's personal touches made my birthday weekend memorable and I hope to return one day soon!

  • It's a peaceful place where you can go hike and enjoy the scenaries. You'll need a car to get there, of course.

  • Loved our stay here! Was a perfect getaway with great accommodations, beautiful location/property, and super close to everything we wanted to get to in the area. Edie left us snacks and water bottles which were appreciated during our hikes. We were even able to cook breakfast one morning with the eggs provided, thank you! The apartment is very private and relaxing. We had everything we needed, and it was comfortable and clean. I’ll be recommending this place to friends headed out this way, and hopefully we’ll make it back again this fall!

  • My fiancé and I needed a quick getaway, to enjoy each other’s company and to celebrate our Engagement, so we decided to rent this place for 2 nights. When we walked in the first thing we noticed was this beautiful deer mounted on the wall along with some amazing home decor, sweet note and yummy cookies. Immediately we felt cozy and comfy. There were snacks in the cabinets and breakfast items in the fridge. The entire place was wonderful, clean, accommodating and perfect for a getaway. The property has 2 beautiful horses, cute frogs and we spotted some deers near by. Edith was very helpful, accommodating and she responded to any questions I had very quickly. As recommended on the website we visited Lakota Wolf Reserve and it was AMAZING.
