  • Charming cottage that is in a great location with just a short walk to Manini beach! My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Ron and Karen are very careful to respect your privacy, but are around if you have questions or want a brief chat. They have many very good recommendations for things to do on the island that helped to make our stay special. There are numerous details in this cottage that have history and meaning. Ask Ron about some of the components, they come with a good story!

  • The cottage is so cute and charming to stay in. Karen and her husband were amazing hosts. As we got in, Karen showed us around to the beach and gave us insights of the area. Snorkeling at the beach was amazing. Lots of bright-colored fish by the reef. We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the decor of the cottage.

  • Great location, great cottage, great hosts. A real gem. Ideal for snorkelling, kayaking, enjoying the sea shore and beautiful sunsets. Encounter with dolphins almost guaranteed.

  • The Bali Cottage is a rustic, comfy space and hosts Karen and Ron are exceptional. They will bend over backwards to make sure guests are comfortable; the location is awesome, shady, and a 5 minute walk to Manini Beach. Everything you need is available in the cottage: coolers, beach towels, boogie boards, and toiletries just in case you forget yours! Go to sleep with the gentle sound of the surf... and wake up with the sun shining in your outdoor shower!

  • Stay here! It’s definitely more of a “glamping” vibe but so amazing! We loved waking up to the sounds of the ocean and wildlife. Very friendly hosts! The snorkel gear was awesome to have when we hiked to Captain Cook!

    Amanda2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most unique and memorable places I’ve ever stayed. Karen and Ron were very friendly hosts, who made sure we felt right at home.

    Bob2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • There are not enough words to say how wonderful the Bali Cottage and Karen are. The space is AMAZING, the only negative thing I can think of is now all other Airbnb’s or even hotels or even my own home will all fall short of the magic that is the Bali Cottage. Karen is super communicative and welcoming and even walked me down to the beach when I got there, which btw is also amazing and charming. Literally could write a book on how much I loved my stay. Thank you again Karen for sharing your space with the world!

    Leah2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • A magical place! It has so much atmosphere and quirky touches. Kitchen had everything we needed and we spent a lot of our time on the porch. Didn’t miss the lack of air conditioning for our visit in November. We really settled in and enjoyed our 3 days immensely. You’re not just staying at a place, you’re really being hosted.

    Harriet2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best Airbnb’s we have ever stayed in. It was a perfect home to us during our trip to Captain Cook. Jesse and Lucia were great at checking in and making sure we were taken care of. We wish we had known about the roosters, we eventually got used to them, but the first night was definitely a surprise! I would recommend ear plugs to any light sleepers, but the (other) sounds of nature were wonderful to fall asleep and wake up to. I loved the openness of the living room; we really felt connected to nature and it definitely helped us relax and enjoy. The floor above can be nosy if others are walking around, but that’s to be expected anywhere you stay, really. But again, we really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay again. Thank you for everything! Mahalo!

    Lydia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place was amazing, design and decor was one of a kind. Definitely enjoyed our stay here! Very warm and welcoming hosts

  • We loved our stay at the Mango Farm! Thank you to Heather for making us feel right at home!

    Lisa2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to kick off our honeymoon. Heather provides us with all the amenities and recommendations to enjoy our stay as a “local” - which is our favorite way to travel. The fresh fruit from farm was a plus :) We arrived after dark and check in was easy and the location was simple to find. Beaches, restaurants and markets were 10-20 minutes away. We loved being away from the hustle, nestled into nature. We miss falling asleep to the sound of the frogs. It was hard not to be emotional upon leaving. It truly felt like home. We plan to visit again :)

  • Such a wonderful guest experience at Jerry and Alice's Kona Magic Sands place...we did not want our stay to end! Everything you need for a wonderful vacation is included - from a comfortable bed, all kitchen utensils and appliances, very nice linens and towels and anything you would need for a day at the beach. It is hard to describe the views and sounds of the ocean...there were days we just opened the lanai and spent most of the day enjoying the scenery (and serenity). And after a day of touring, it was so nice to come back and just enjoy the ocean, pool and making dinner in their well-equipped kitchen. We would actually look forward to returning each afternoon/evening to enjoy their place and the atmosphere. Jerry and Alice are such sincere and caring hosts... they truly want guests to enjoy their experience. There were tropical fresh flowers waiting for us as well as bananas from their own tree! We were sad when our stay ended and hope to be guests again! A wonderful, fabulous experience! Mahalo Jerry and Alice for sharing your paradise with us!

    Shannon2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing views and place. We saw whales, dolphins, fish, and turtles all from our condo! Jerry and Alice were some of the nicest people Ive ever met, very accomodating and definitely went above and beyond. We are definitely hoping to come back and stay here again.

    Kelsey2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • It was very relaxing to hear the constant splashing of the waves, which sent us to sleep immediately! The Magic Sands restaurant was excellent, convenient and fun. Great to have an allocated parking space.

    Sharon2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jerry & Alice are the kind of hosts that you remember for years, their kindness and warm communication, they feel like friends rather than hosts. We will never forget the roar of the waves, the breath taking sunsets and the whales and dolphins daily transiting out front. 🐳🌊 🌅

    Darrell2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Jerry and Alice's condo. The views were magnificent - a perfect place to take in an ocean sunset. Was nice to be able to lie in bed and hear the sound of the waves. The location was great too, right next to a nice beach and an easy drive to any other Kona destination. Jerry and Alice were great hosts and provided all the info we needed for our trip along with plenty of suggestions for places to eat and things to do. We would love to stay at their place again.

    David2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jerry and Alice are wonderful hosts and their condo is amazing. I would definitely come back here.

  • Right next to Magic Sands Beach. Perfect location. We loved hearing the waves lap up on the shore each night. Perfect sea breeze blows into the apartment each day. Jerry and Alice were kind and easy to interact with. Highly recommend!

    Kailua-Kona, HI, United States

We are a nicely appointed condo in the heart of Old Kona Town. We are across from the Hulie'e Palace and only a couple of hundred feet from the ocean. There are restaurants, galleries, Kona coffee houses and exotic shopping right out our doors. Tax #: W70176163-01 Price includes state taxes.
This beautiful condo was just fully and expertly remodeled and furnished. It is new inside with sophisticated Polynesian accents. We are in the heart of downtown Kona on the island of Hawaii or "The Big Island". We overlook the oldest church in Hawaii, Mokuaikaua Church, and the Hulihee Royal Palace in downtown Kona. We are steps away from the pier, restaurants and special activities. This is the heart of the old village of Kona, literally in the back yard of the Hulihee Palace. We have one bedroom one bath with large lanai and a new kitchen, fully stocked with all the necessary dishes. Although we are in the core and center of the town, we are quiet because of the church as our closest neighbor. We are on the quiet side of our building orientated toward the church grounds. We have covered and secured parking in a garage and elevators from the parking area. Cable, high-speed internet and a new washer/dryer is included. This is truly a wonderful property unique because of its setting. Our building includes a wonderful pool and barbecue decks which overlook the busy Ali'i Drive and the Pacific Ocean. Step out of the parking garage and you are in the middle of our restaurant and shopping area. Prices include Hawaii tax of 13.42%! This is important when comparing prices because many people add it onto the posted price. WE ARE NON-SMOKING!
I just love living in downtown Kona. We are on the quiet end of the "strip" here along the oceanfront at Kailua Bay. It is quiet in our neighborhood soon after dark. Just a few blocks down along the waterfront are our nightclubs and late-night restaurants with daily live music. It really is a special place, very calm with many shopping, dining and night club options.
  • This unit has everything. Clean and well looked after. It’s in the heart of downtown Kona. Easy to walk the street for local shopping and restaurants. Ed went out of his way to get us special beach chairs that we asked for. We would come back to this unit.

    Caroline2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The access was simple, Edward always responded to texts and questions fast, and the area is right by the beach and a bunch of shops! Such a cool area with lots to do, right on the ocean. Will definitely be coming back!

    Gabrielle2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This unit is great...an ideal price in an ideal location. It was convenient to get to places, a wonderful unit layout, and an important aspect of our two weeks on the Big Island.

    Jill2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Edward was such a great host for us! We only stayed with him one night. Our flight got in late, but he was still responsive when we messaged him. He was even willing to work with us on our check out time so we could enjoy our day in Kona without having to lug our bags around with us. The place was stylishly decorated, comfortable, impeccably clean and easy to access. Thank you Edward for a wonderful stay!

    Diana2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This clean unit is in a quiet location that it very close to the waterfront as well as many shops and stores. It was comfortably furnished inside as well as on the lanai. Edward has stocked his place with many thoughtful items and was quick to respond to our questions. The underground garage parking was very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

    Sharon2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and great host. After I realized that I had booked the wrong night he set me up with another of his properties at a discounted rate.

    John2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place has a great location right next to great restaurants and shopping yet quiet.

    Stephanie2019-11-14T00:00:00Z

    Kailua-Kona, HI, United States

Aloha and Mahalo for visiting my listing. "Pl.note that I don't have included the Transient /Ge tax ( 14.50%) in my price since it would reflect in the fee you pay to airbnb. I will collect it upon arrival." This place is nesteld on the slope of Hualalei mountain inmidst of coffee farms, from this cooler elevation (1200ft.) it is only 15 min./7 miles to Kailua -Kona, the nearest Beaches and Supermarket.
This downstair apartment is fully private with private entrance, bedroom has a queen bed, bathroom with bathtub/shower, walk-in closet. Lanai ( Porch) with view. Kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, electric skillet and electric pot, toaster, coffee maker, electric water kettle, rice cocker and a blender. Linen, towels and beach towels are provided. Free wireless internet, use of BBQ, car port. At 1200 elevation it is nice to come home from a day of activities at the beach to a cooler climate and quiet neighborhood to relax and watch the sunset from the lanai with view.
It is located in the midst of the famous Kona Coffee region, just 1 min. north from old charming Holualoa town with many Art Gallerys, a grocerie store, post office, coffee shop, and a wonderful outdoor restaurante (slow food). In just 12 min. ( or 7miles) you are in Kailua Kona town or at the nearest beaches.
  • The apartment is perfect! It is very well equipped, clean and offers a very nice view to watch sunsets. We enjoyed the stay very much and can just recommend it!

    Melina2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet space a little away from Holualoa Town, a large site with lots of fruit trees and trees. There is a two-story house in that space. The second floor is the host house and the first floor is the guest house. There are many similar homes around the property, in a quiet, relaxed and lovely area away from the hustle and bustle. Located at the foot of Mount Faralai and away from the sea, it is not too hot and cool. It's a bit cool in the morning and evening, so it's a good idea to have long sleeves. Rooms are clean and well cleaned. Cooking utensils are available, and there are rice cookers, microwave ovens, ovens, electric pots, hot plates, toasters, coffee makers, etc., so you can cook yourself without any problems. Since there is also a coffee mill, you can grind the purchased Kona coffee beans and drink it immediately. There is also a cartridge type water purifier, so there is no need to buy water. In addition, there are a lot of beach gear, and beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler boxes, snorkels, cool bottles, etc. were handy. The view from Lanai is a lot of trees underneath, the town of Kailua-Kona and the vast sea far away. Every day I spent watching beautiful sunsets. The lanai is large, so you can eat at the table or relax on the sofa. Rent-a-car is essential, but it is about 15 to 20 minutes drive to Kailua Kona, Keauhou shopping center and beach. Every day I went to KTA, Safeway, Target, Walmart and Kahaluu Beach. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the host lived on the second floor, so there was no need to receive or hand over the keys, just putting the keys on the table. The host woman is very kind and will answer me politely if I have anything, and I'm on the second floor so I can go to listen immediately. It keeps your private well, so you will rarely meet and help you only when you need it. I think it is the best location to spend your time on the Big Island slowly and comfortably, but I think it is a good distance for those who are actively moving to Hilo, Volcano, Mauna Kea, North Kona and many beaches, I went many times during my stay. Especially in the middle of the Kona coffee cultivation area, you can easily go around the coffee plantation everywhere. I stayed for about 3 weeks, but anyway, I found the location, environment, room and host to be satisfactory.

    Hiroshi2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Karoline and her dog Hano are lovely hosts and her place was just perfect for our stay on the big island! Karoline has a beautiful house and guest apartment. Everything was sparkling clean and decorated in a cozy hawaiian style. We cooked a lot and were genuinely surprised by how good the kitchen devices (mixer, pans etc.) are! The whole apartment is very well thought through and Karoline goes above and beyond to ensure that her guests enjoy their stay. She even provided us with fresh fruits from her own garden! She also makes her own soapes and pays special attention to the environment and holding a sustainable houshold. Hano is the cutest, a very friendly, goofy and even a little shy doggo that one cannot help but love. We also loved the view from the apartment. One can see the ocean and watch the most amazing sunsets whilest sipping on a cold Big Wave or Longboard. So, if you get the chance stay here and enjoy this beautiful island from the very best airbnb.

    Mark2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Karoline’s place was warm and cozy as described. It has a neat view of the ocean, and the property itself is surrounded by lush trees. The house was stocked with amazing coffee beans, which my husband really enjoyed having. Karoline’s dog, Hano, was a cool hang out in the mornings. The place is conveniently located to Kona and other beaches (about 15-20mins drive). Highly recommend it.

    Rasika2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Karolines house is very charming and well kept in every detail, and with a beautiful view over the garden and to the ocean. Peaceful area and close to a nice little village.

  • The Kona Oasis is amazing! Cute space with 1 bed and a bathroom, outdoor kitchen and dining space surrounded by adorable geckos. You will spend the whole trip outside, or inside with your windows open. Walking distance from everything in Kailua Kona - including beaches, restaurants, shopping. Marc is a awesome, hospitable, and super nice. He has tons of local knowledge and made great recommendations.

    Jordan2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Marc’s place has great values for it’s price. The room is clean and comfortable with all necessities equipped. What satisfies me most is its private bathroom. It’s super convenient you don’t share bathroom with others. Moreover, you can walk to the supermarket and restaurant. Anyway, I recommend Marc’s place if you’re looking for the budget accommodation in Kona.

The room is furnished with king size bed and mini-ridge/freezer. There are 4 accommodation choices. Every possibility for your enjoyment. If you are confused, I suggest you click on my profile picture which has the 4 listings separately. Snorkeling gear is provided for your enjoyment in our beautiful protected bays.

Property is on one acre; totally safe and has entry via electronic gates. The local grocer, Choice Mart. Located 3 miles north of the home open from 5 am – 10 pm daily. Numerous other shops, stores and local restaurants are nearby. All are very good, reasonably priced, and recommended without hesitation. The house and property is equipped with plenty of private spaces. Free internet connections available throughout the property to allow everyone personal space as desired.
  • Gorgeous house with an ocean view which I’ll recommend to anyone who asks where to stay at the big island.

  • The beauty of the room and the entire estate is just like other evaluations. It is very beautiful and unimaginable. I hope that I can have such a home in the urban jungle. I think the owner is a very easy-going lady who is very considerate, but unfortunately my English is so bad that I ca n’t talk too much with her. I have to mention her baking skills here, and I will definitely not lose the other chef masters. Every morning, I eat the owner's cakes, cookies, and coffee, and with the excellent manor landscape, it really makes people reluctant to leave! !! !! Unfortunately, we were too focused on other attractions in those days. Quietly lying on the couch in the manor, listening to the songbirds and watching the sunset, maybe it will make people who come on vacation more relaxed. By the way, I would like to especially thank the roosters in the manor, and thank them for waking me up on time one hour or two hours before the alarm clock, and never let me oversleep. I think if there is grilled chicken, then there will be more than 5 stars Haha

  • I booked a room w/ a shared bath at Rhonda's place, and it was the perfect place to relax and get good sleep in the first days of my vacation. Besides the many amenities like a pool and beach gear, I appreciated the level of cleanliness and fresh towels. Rhonda also offered a guidebook library for guests, as well as daily treats. It was very easy to find, and a very comfortable place to stay on the Big Island.

    Christine2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in Captain Cook. The pool was perfectly warm so I was able to swim even in the rain. There are a lot of upfront rules which was intimidating but they are really easy to follow if you are courteous and considerate. Would stay again!

    Mary Alaina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Rhonda is the best there is for a bnb. Warm, informative, comfortable. unlike some Airbnb listings, her space is NOT oversold. You relax the moment you get there. This is my second time staying with her a year apart and it is just as good. My only regret is not staying longer!

    Theresa2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rhonda's place is a little paradise in paradise (Captain Cook's bay is amazing). We especially appreciated Rhonda's hospitality, the comfort of her house, the view and the pool! We would definitively love to come back if we ever go back to Big Island again.

    Nancy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Rhonda is a great hostess. Like she mentions it’s close to the main road so you will hear cars and she’s in the country so there will be roosters.

  • Location is great for coffee tastings...there are tons of awesome (many are free) coffee tours within a couple miles of her home. Her home has a beautiful ocean view seen by the huge window in the living room!

  • Great hospitality; came to greet us and to say goodbye and communicated consistently! The place is better than what I expected; the photos show the place a lot smaller, but it's super spacious. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here, 100% recommend

    Abelardo2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time staying at Kate & Will's place. It's very cozy, beautifully designed and had everything I needed. Just a short drive away from downtown Kona and beautiful beaches. Will was very nice, he met me in person and showed me around. Overall it was a great experience, can totally recommend staying at Kate & Will's when you're visiting Kona!

    Egor2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Will and Kate’s place was a true delight. The bed was comfortable and the spa bathtub was delightful. They are located a super short drive from excellent snorkeling and have provided everything you could think of for a day at the beach (chairs, umbrella, snorkels and fins, and boogie boards). I only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!!

    Amber2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very sweet. It's a bit of old Hawaiian with updated and thoughtful touches. Their location is lovely: great garden, peaceful, and the lodging is ample. And Will, who greeted me, is very nice; clearly a bright and talented artist. I didn't get to meet Kate, but I did meet the two dogs, who were so sweet. It feels like "real Hawaii" here. If you want to be in this area, which is in close proximity to many offerings, this a great choice!

    Robyn2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Katie and Will’s place was the perfect space to unwind after a day of activities. The location could not be beat and they had everything you could want to relax.

    Katie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kate and Will exemplify hospitality and genuinely care about you. The apartment is spacious, with a kitchenette, TV lounge area, and a sitting room flowing into the bedroom area. The bathroom has a spa which was welcome after a day of trekking and snorkelling. Lovely views to the ocean and from the other side, picturesque gardens. There are three outdoor seating options with the added bonus of having the Pups, Teddy and Daisy to greet you if you so wish. I found it easy to find the apartment, easy to cook and so central to access all the area has to offer.

    Sandra2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great airbnb with a real old Hawaii feel. We always enjoy staying here.

Java is the juice that powers Holualoa, the little village and art enclave in the heart of Kona coffee country. This is a great place to taste the rich flavors of 100% pure Kona coffee, a rare commodity exclusively grown in north and south Kona. There are many great restaurants within just a few miles such as Holuakoa Cafe, Strawberry Patch, Annie's Burgers, and Kaya's. The high elevation, constant cloud coverage, and rich volcanic soil in the upland slopes of Kona, Holualoa and Kealakekua create an ideal environment for harvesting the unique Kona coffee bean. There are roughly 600 coffee farms in the Kona area and many offer tours to the public. Visit Holualoa’s thriving coffee orchards and learn about the meticulous harvesting process. Then explore the coffee mill and see how the beans are processed. As you finish your tour, sip a freshly brewed cup for yourself and experience the rich aroma and flavor that makes 100% Kona coffee so highly valued. Tucked amid the upland farms on the slopes of dormant Hualalai Volcano between Kailua-Kona and Keauhou, Holualoa has also become art central for the Kona and the Kohala Coast resort areas. Discover local artwork including paintings, ceramic sculptures and handcrafted woodwork. To experience the best of both worlds, visit during the annual Holualoa Village Coffee & Art Stroll in November. Taste exotic Kona coffee blends while you shop for handcrafted goods and meet local farmers and artists. Then make room in your suitcase to take home a bag of Holualoa’s best beans for your trip home.
  • We had a wonderful stay! The place was absolutely spotless - and I’m a huge beat freak so that’s saying a lot. The lot was private and beautifully landscaped. The home itself was lovely and a short drive from the main shops and restaurants in Kona. We would definitely come back!

    Shannon2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic property! I really enjoyed my stay at this place. It was very clean. Although Big Island is very tropical and I was worried about mosquitos, every door and window had quality screens keeping the bugs out. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and we made a number of meals there. The bathrooms were very nice and there were plenty of towels for us to use. We also made good use of the beach chairs, umbrellas, and snorkel gear. At night, being in the hot tub and watching the stars was fantastic. The view from the backyard watching the sunset is also incredible. Highly recommend this place. Anna and Heather were also very quick to respond to any messages I sent. Thank you Anna and Heather!

    Paul2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Thoughtful, unique styling and touches. Equipped with everything you need! Perfect place to watch the sun go down over Kona.

    Charni2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to relax and soak in nature. The sunsets are unbeatable and the landscaping is private and tropical. Lots of little touches and local tips make you feel like the hosts really want you to enjoy the island. All this within a short drive to the action in Kona town and restaurants.

    Anthony2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Spectacular. Simply fantastic. Exactly the “experience” we wanted sitting on a coffee plantation with ocean views. World class. And Heather is beyond gracious. A wonderful superhost. Thanks for all the outstanding hospitality and memories.

    Richard2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • The coffee cottage exceeded our expectations in every area. The view is amazing, the cottage is extremely well stocked with more than you would expect, and it actually feels more spacious than it appears in the pictures. The only caution I would give is that the comments about wildlife are very accurate - the cottage sits on farmland (which we loved!), so as long as you don't mind the sound of wildlife at night (mostly the coqui frogs) or the occasional gecko or rogue chicken or turkey, you will absolutely love this place! Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay!

    Patrick2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as pictured and even better amenities than described. We especially loved the complementary beach chairs and towels & local tips. Mahalo!

    Audrey2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is located high up and has a wonderful sea view. The sunsets are superb. The accommodation is very cozy and it feels good immediately. Ideal place for holidays.

  • A beautifully decorated Airbnb. The view is amazing. Joy has very nice ‘touches’ to making one feel welcomed. The kitchen set up is sparse and could easily be improved with a few additional items. Overall...we really enjoyed it. Joy was quick to respond and we enjoyed chatting with her and Greg.

    Karen2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Precisely as advertised. Even more beautiful than the photos. Great location. Very very clean. Many touches of home and perfect communication from host. Absolutely recommend. We will return.

    Josh2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely, but all too brief visit to Joy’s home. The location was ideal for exploring the Kona coast. The pool area was amazing with great views. While we never went swimming, we did relax poolside, and enjoyed the breathtaking stars from the lounge chairs. We only saw Joy once at the beginning of our stay, but she was very warm, welcoming and hospitable.

    Adam2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay. Highly recommend. Very clean and felt like an oasis away from home. Nice and quiet with a beautiful view. It was great to come back after a long day of exploring and relax by the pool!

    Krystal2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and comfortable bungalow. Access to the beautiful swimming pool is a plus! Perfect for watching the sunset at the end of the day. We liked the location a little behind the city. We appreciated the beach equipment at our disposal. Very nice welcome from Joy on our arrival. She gave us several tips on restaurants, activities, etc. Excellent communication upon booking. The only downside is the kitchenette, which has very minimal equipment, offering few options for preparing evening meals. The one-round hot plate did not work very well.

    Lili2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had so much fun at Joy’s Airbnb! She kindly greeted us and showed us around when we arrived and assured us she would be there if we needed her. The view was fantastic - breathtaking. We loved how close we were to all the sights and restaurants but still in a quiet area and we enjoyed the nightly bird and cricket sounds. The snorkel and beach gear was a great asset for us and we used it every day. The pool was wonderful to cool down in after being out most of the day in the sun and the rough and salty ocean. While the kitchen gear was minimal, it was still enough for us to make egg avocado toast breakfasts every morning, helping us save some food costs. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Kona! Thank you Joy.

    Anne2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space, great location and helpful local tips! In addition, Joy responds very quickly and is very helpful. This was a great location for downtown Kona. Hiking and exploration was anywhere from 1-2 hours away. Rent a car, and you will be set for some great adventure!

Located it the the beautiful historic town of Holualoa. This peaceful guesthouse is a 5 minute walk to the village filled with galleries and an 8 minute walk to Holuakoa an amazing restaurant and cafe. It's also only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Kailua-Kona and the beach. The house is brand new and was just built on a second level so it's perfect for watching the sunset!
Ideal for 2 couples or a family of 4. The 860sq.ft. apartment is set up like two studios connected by a small hallway. Each side has a king size bed and a bathroom with floor to ceiling stone walk-in showers. The space has gorgeous teak hardwood floors and dark mahogany trim throughout. One studio has a full kitchen and the other has a huge built in closet. There is a washer and dryer on the property that can be used by appointment. Our location is perfect to get out and explore and play on the beautiful Kona coast and then to come home and relax and beat the heat in our quaint and quiet little village!
We are close to Hōlualoa town (5 min walk) which has a lot of artist galleries, post office, mom and pop shop, a cafe and a restaurant. The first Friday evening of each month the town comes alive with food vendors, live music, boutiques and open galleries.

  • It was a great place to stay if I wanted to go back to Hawaii. When I first visited, the location was good except for the ones, the location was clean and the bed was soft and very good. I did not meet my host in person, but I also recommend various places and restaurants as a message. Thanks to you, I think I'm only building good memories. It was a really wonderful place. If I go to Hawaii again, I want to stay again. Good position, clean, the bed was fluffy, and it was so nice. I couldn't meet my host because he and he's family went on a trip, but I could tell he is very kind person because he recommend various travel destinations and restaurants by message. Thanks to you, I was able to stay in a nice place and make good memories.

Aloha! You are looking at a fully licensed property for vacation rental (Hawaii STVR registration No. 19-361380), which speaks for my qualification and experience as your host. My place is centrally located in Kona, close to farmer's market, restaurants, shops and beaches for snorkeling/diving. You’ll love my place because of the tropical island ambiance, quiet and safe neighborhood, no traffic, consistent mountain breeze, sunset everyday, professionally cleaned rooms and the super comfy beds.
Private bathroom and shower - remodeled in 2020. Twin-size day bed with pullout trundle that makes the second twin-size bed. One Ekornes Stressless chair with personal side table which is ideal for relaxing, reading or working with a laptop. You may enjoying hiking around our property within the rock wall and picking in-season fruits. We have Hawaiian white pineapple, avocado, lychee, mango, starfruit, longan, jabuticaba, lemon, orange, cherimoya and papaya trees.
Quiet and safe neighborhood, no traffic, sunset oceanview everyday. Consistent mountain breeze that brings a comfortable temperature, so it's never scorching hot like beachside properties. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

A relaxing, creative mountain retreat surrounded by nature- 15 minutes from center of Kona! A studio cottage attached to the main house with a private entryway, private bath, parking, and kitchenette. The bed is a super-comfy Queen mattress. You also have a little porch with table and chairs and a desk with a view! A guitalele, yoga mat and adult coloring-books are here to inspire and energize!
I want to share this experience with travelers, from all over! When I came here 5 years ago, this little town stole my heart with it's cute art galleries, cafe's, mature fruit trees and gardens, farms, coffee plantations and quaint Aloha vibe. It's a perfect escape from the heat and hustle of Kona-town, and only 15 minutes away from the ocean. I have very active Macadamia Nut trees, and a heavy-duty cracker all set up for you to get crackin'! Also, season-permitting, Avocados!! Your space is all for you, and you also have access to a shared front porch for an ocean-sunset view on clear days!
Holualoa is a charming little town on the slope of Hualalai Mountain! It hosts an eclectic artist community, with small studios and galleries bunched together within walking distance. There are lots of mature fruit frees and beautiful tropical foliage lining it's windy country road overlooking Kailua-Kona. Only 1 km away, is a wonderful little cafe/restaurant- Holuakoa Cafe! Great place to grab coffee and small cafe fare, or make a reservation for brunch or dinner! Fresh local farm-to-table ingredients and zen jungle vibe make this place well worth the $$!
  • Great location with great mountain vibes. KJ is incredibly responsive and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone!

  • An amazing getaway by the mountain in Hololua. Very clean, cozy and with a nice ocean view by the living room. Cottage is surrounded by fruit trees and a thick forest. The singing birds and frogs is a plus :) Perfect spot in exploring Kona and nearby areas. Check in/out is a breeze per instructions. Kj is very quick on responding to our questions and let us borrow her cooler. Delicious avocados! Thanks again Kj! Highly recommend!

  • KJ's place was the perfect place for relaxing, and enjoying some amazing views. Her place was really neat, and stylish and cozy. We were in need of extra blankets due to some cold nights, and KJ was quick to respond and deliver these to us. We loved our first experience and stay on the Big Island. Mahalo.

Perch 15 minutes uphill from Kona's Ali'i drive on the edge of rural coffee country. Retreat in your 2 room + 1 bath "wing" with private entrance. Enjoy ocean views from your bay window or on the covered patio outside your sliding doors.
The Flyin' Hawaiian Wing is two rooms with a bathroom in the hall between them. A locked door in the hall separates the wing from the rest of our house for your privacy. A pullout couch in the front room can easily convert this living room area to a second bedroom. Watch the sunset over the ocean from the front room bay windows or on the covered patio outside your sliding glass doors. Please note: There is NO kitchen. There is a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and basic dishes. Also, the second bedroom does not have a regular bed. It is a pull out SOFA BED. Finally, there are no indoor pets, but there are often semi-wild cats and chickens in the yard. You will likely hear roosters crowing in the morning and some coqui frogs at night. Most guests love the "rural charm" but you may want to book elsewhere if this does not sound appealing to you.
Although we are just a 10-15 minute drive from downtown Kona, the neighborhood has a charming rural feel. Wild chickens frequent the yard and roosters may be your morning wake-up call. Coqui frogs sing at night. Friendly cats hang out on the porch. This is a local Hawaii neighborhood so you may also hear neighbors talking outside, mowing the grass, etc, during the day. Earplugs are provided if you are sensitive to noise. There is NO A/C. Both rooms have ceiling fans and at 1400 feet above sea level, we get refreshing ocean breezes and cooler temperatures. Nights can be chilly so bring a light jacket. Binoculars come in handy to observe a variety of birds or even occasional whales spouting in the distance. Without city lights, you can see millions of stars on clear nights.
  • The place was really nice and clean. April answered our question really fast and gave us tipps for restaurants, supermarket and snorkeling! Even we came very late April handed us over the key and explained us the como! Thanks a lot!

    Oliver2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Good place to stay. Even if it is a sma appartment, it is well isolated for the sound between the bedroom and the living room. The are a couple of plates and things to eat in the apartment even if there is no kitchen. We had a great time thank you!

    Carolane2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • April & Raf were quick to respond and made the Airbnb experience effortless. Their place was very clean and in a great location to access the various spots in Kona.

    Albert2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • April & Raf are super friendly and helpful! Their place was a perfect spot to kick off our honeymoon! Easy for us to access Kahalu'u (our fav), Kealakekua and Two-Step. Also, we enjoyed Kaya's, a local and organic breakfast cafe, just a short walk away. The place was clean and check-in was easy. Definitely recommend.

    Geoff2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • April and Raf were very easy to communicate. They gave excellent directions for check-in and check-out. The apartment was clean and comfy with a beautiful ocean view from the terrace. If you love cats, terrace was a cat paradise!

  • The BEST place to stay! If you’re looking for a wonderful place to stay, with the best hosts then this is the place for you! April and Raf are so easy to talk to and make your whole experience on the island amazing!

  • All perfect! We would repeat without a doubt! Impeccable, spacious accommodation with parking at the door.

    Tania2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and value. Some beaches on both sides of us. Town is close and there is a little Mart for ice and things right across street. April & Raf supplied maps for us and were open and helped us with anything we needed. Would stay here again. Mahalo!

Holualoa Elua is clean and new. Close to Holualoa Village, Kailua-Kona town, the ocean and beaches, airport, shopping and restaurants. In the heart of Kona Coffee, Holualoa is peaceful, cool and country living. There is a queen bed in bedroom, walk-in shower, large covered lanai with ocean view, cable TV, Wifi, stacked washer/dryer inside, full kitchen and amenities. The sofa in living area pulls out to a bed. Added a twin bed in walk in closet just for spare sleeping accommodations.
Holualoa Elua is new, clean and comfortable. The large lanai/patio welcomes you to enjoy the ocean view and outdoors. Comfortable for couples, solo adventurers, friends traveling together and families. The kitchen is well equipped with full size appliances, microwave, refrigerator with ice maker, pots/pans, etc. There is a single serve Kuerig coffee maker and French press for local ground coffee. We provide 4 sets of bath towels, beach towels, essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, some toilet tissue) and clean linens at each check in. There are beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board and coolers for your outdoor adventures. The house is new, very clean with fresh linens at every check-in. This home has two separate living areas for guests. Each with their own entrance, parking and outdoor lanai, no spaces/amenities are shared. Holualoa Elua and Holualoa Ekolu can be booked together to accommodate a larger group.
Holualoa Village is within walking distance but driving is more convenient. There are galleries, post office, a cafe and restaurant in the village. Paul's Place and Doris Store are minutes away if you forgot to pick up something while in town. It's nice and cool at this elevation, open air windows and doors will keep a nice breeze going through the house.
  • A lovely, quiet location in the coffee mountains. You take a small winding road to get there with a beautiful view. We enjoyed watching the sunset on the lanai. Rachelle and Hailey left recommendations, high quality linen and beach gear. We loved our stay and would book with them again if we return to Kona.

    Chelsea2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay and had a beautiful view. The kitchen appliances were well stocked. So was the bathroom. I would definitely stay again.

    Maryam2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet, Clean, and with and outstanding view to watch the sunset off Kona.

    Scott2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The home was cozy and private with a wonderful view! It worked out really well for our family of three (mom and two kids). A larger family might find it too small. The house is a duplex, but we never even saw the other guests, only the chickens, which the kids enjoyed. The house comes with two boogie boards and there are great beaches nearby to ride the waves. Overall, it’s a nice, lower cost, place to stay to get away from tourist crowd.

    Elizabeth2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great for our one night visit. Rachelle & Hailey’s place is a nice getaway from the Kona chaos. Communication was second to none and thorough. Highly recommend!

    Dale2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. We have been to Hawaii before and usually stay close to the beach however, we thought we would try something different this time and we didn’t regret it! The view is gorgeous and we just absolutely loved our morning coffee on the deck followed later by watching the sun set. The property is clean and well maintained. My son preferred to sleep on the couch as the room with the second bed is pretty stuffy with no windows. We appreciated having a cooler we could pack up for the day as well as boogie boards and beach chairs. Thank you,

    Angela2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot that made for beautiful sunsets, and offered enough room and amenities for us to enjoy our stay and not have to worry about all the costs that come with traveling to Hawaii. Will definitely stay again on future trips!

Enjoy comfort and seclusion on an older Gentleman farm lot only 6 miles from town. At 1000 ft. elevation, the weather is comfortably cooler. The views from your sun room are beautiful, especially at sunset. You'll see fishing boats and whales spouting, and at night the lights of town. Coffee trees, avocado, lemons and limes are abundant on the place. Snorkeling and surfing are ten minutes away. Mike knows the surfing spots and adventure stuff. Dana knows the snorkeling.
The sun room and kitchenette face the west, with a full ocean view. The sitting room, bedroom, and bathroom are at the back of the house and look out to the jungle, with flowers and trees. Kitchenette includes full size refrigerator, microwave, tea kettle, coffee press, utensils, plates, bowls, etc. Also paper products. Everything but the kitchen sink, literally. Outdoor grill is available.
Our road is an ancient Hawaiian trail, originally from Kailua Bay all the way up the mountain to Captain Cook and beyond. Parts of the road are blocked from cars and open only to walkers, runners, bikers and their dogs. Many people use the full trail from Lako Street all the way up past our driveway, which is near the top; This is just over 6 miles round trip. The road is narrow as it winds uphill and we all must share the road, so we drive slowly the one mile from the signal at Kamehameha III to our entrance. GPS tends to lead you up the hill on the highway to the top entrance of Walua Road, less than 1/2 mile above our home.
  • Good location, outstanding view, great local flair - Mike goes out of his way to make sure everything is covered that you would need. Loved having access to snorkel equipment and boogie boards and coolers for the beach. And there’s a local farmers markets restaurant was outstanding. We highly recommend Mike’s place If you’re visiting the big Island of Hawaii.

    Barbie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting . Great view of the ocean. Great value.

    Stephen2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and Dana's place overlooking the Pacific from 1000 ft up was a pleasure to spend time in. The view out of our window of their property was great. Especially useful touches were the available snorkels, boogie boards, and beach chairs. Mike was great to talk to, both just socially (he's from our mainland area) and about interesting activities and places on the island. The unit is attached to the house with separate bedroom with very comfortable bed, living room, and kitchen-like area with microwave, hot water maker, French press, and refrigerator. Be aware that there's not a separate kitchen sink, so you'll wash and rinse dishes in the bathroom sink, but that's not an inconvenience. The location is very accessible to Kailua-Kona, places north and south, and to the saddle road over the hill to Hilo. We think you'll enjoy a stay with Mike and Dana.

    Robert2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay at Mike’a guesthouse. He generously offered us a delicious avocado. Well located, the house has everything you need

  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Mike's Walua Farm. The location was central to the beaches, and far enough from the main area to provide a peaceful and relaxing stay after a full day of swimming, exploring and hiking. Each night we were lulled to sleep by the rain or frogs (yes they are invasive to the area). We appreciated the amenities - cooler and beach chairs for the beach. A fridge to keep our food and drinks cold and microwave to prep meals, and a few nights we were able to grill food on Mike's grill. The view from the 2nd floor was amazing, it was lovely way to start the morning and end the day. Mike and Dana were wonderful hosts. They provided great suggestions for our day trips. My husband bought a lovely piece of art from Mike to keep the memory of our trip alive. Truly lovely place to stay.

    Roberta2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • The property is located in the hills a few miles from Kailua-Kona. It is close enough for easy access to restaurants, etc., but has a very quiet, rural vibe. There is abundant vegetation, and one can imagine what Kona was like decades ago. The place was very comfortable. Noise level was high, but that was fine since the noise came from birds, crickets, and frogs! Nice additional touches were the ice chest, beach towels, and beach mats provided for our use. While the listing indicates a whole house, the place is more like a separate attached suite with bedroom, bath, kitchenette, and sitting room. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Real cooking is not practical, but we were more interested in sampling the wide range of cuisines in Kailua-Kona. It was nice to have a private entrance, so we could come and go easily. We had a great stay.

A little haven hidden in the heart of Holualoa. It is clean and cozy with a view of the ocean and beautiful sunsets. Located right next to Holualoa Village and just a short drive to Kona town, nearby beaches, shops, and more. There is a king size bed, kitchen, TV, WiFi, washer and dryer, and covered patio with the view of the ocean. The unit is located downstairs of the main house, but has its own private entrance.
The place is located right next to Holualoa Elementary School in Holualoa Village and just a short drive to town.
  • This very nice Airbnb is cute and comfy. Loved that there was a washer-dryer to use. Love having my windows open on the chilly February nights. Very nice family!

  • Wonderful place to stay. A beautiful view over the ocean from atop a hill. Separate bedroom from kitchen and living room, and a grill to cook among beautiful plants! Couldn’t ask for more!

  • Wonderful place with a beautiful view. We definitely will be coming back

    Tessah2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING PLACE. We loved staying here with our family on three. Helpful and supernice hosts and an relaxing and nice apartment that has everything you need. A huge bonus for us was that they have surferboard here that you can borrow for free, and it only takes 10minutes to get to a perfect surfer spot. The place is a bit cooler in the night than downtown, which we enjoyed. A short trip by car and you'll be downtown. We would definetly come back again.

    Ingvild2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying here! It is super clean and cozy. The bed is insanely comfortable and there are two patios, one that has an incredible view of the ocean. There are plenty of pots and pans to cook with (we made breakfast and dinner here all 4 days). It has all the creature comforts (TV with a ton of channels), which was a nice way to end our trip. Private washer and dryer was a HUGE, HUGE perk as nothing really dries due to the moisture in the air. Her home is located in higher altitude so it stays very cool at night. It’s also conveniently located to many of the amazing beaches west Hawaii has to offer. We cannot wait to stay here again on our next trip!

    Naomi2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • It felt like a “home away from home” for us as we were able to easily settle into this inviting, warm, airy, bright first-floor suite with your own kitchen, family room, private full bath, bedroom with a King size bed, and excellent WiFi service. Sitting on the backyard porch, we had an unobstructed 180 degree view of the vast Pacific ocean down along the shore, and in the evening, the warm glow of the sunset. Kona downtown is visible from the right corner of the backyard. Roosters and chickens and yellow birds are a common sight in the area. There are couple of papaya trees in the yard that offer those who enjoy such sweet and healthy treats plentiful nourishment. There is provided a commercial grade High-Efficiency Maytag front load washer and dryer which we found very helpful as it minimized the extra clothes we need to pack and thus baggage load. Bronwyn and Simon are prompt, responsive, and considerate. We definitely look forward to returning to their place in the future!

    Chi2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay! View was outstanding and that bed is difficult to get out of its so comfy! I’d stay here again.

  • The place was perfect for two people. Very clean and the kitchenette met our needs for meals. Beautiful, well manicured garden with ocean view. Cooler temps at this elevation. We would stay here again in the future.

Located in a private neighborhood (cul-de-sac) at 925ft elevation allowing cooler temperatures with wonderful ocean breeze. Surfboards, Paddleboards or Kayaks available at additional charge. Recommendations for scuba diving, boat and scenic tours (hiking, 4X4 tours etc).
Holualoa is the first township of Kailua-Kona and has several galleries, coffee shops, local stores. Neighborhood is private, house is located at end of a cul-de-sac with zero traffic noise.
  • Monique and Tony's place is gorgeous. So peaceful and removed from the main strip, but just a 10-15 minute drive to restaurants and everything else. We loved hanging out during the day and taking advantage of the pool, enjoying morning coffee on the lanai, and coming back to relax after hiking and snorkeling. Plus, Monique and Tony were super friendly and full of recommendations. We would definitely stay here again!

    Natalie2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed three nights at Monique & Tony’s Holualoa Haven and didn’t want to leave. Their gracious hospitality made our time a truly memorable experience on the Big Island. We’ve stayed at many Bnbs and this is on the top of our list of best places to stay. They offered us great advice on where to eat, great public beaches and told us to check out the Kona Cloud Forest Tour which was incredible. Next time we’ll definitely stay longer.

    LiWah2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Monique & Tony's accommodation is simply perfect. The view and location are exceptional. Everything you need is in the apartment (towels, sheets, basic food). We even had a few provisions in the fridge which we appreciated. The beds were comfortable and the location is ideal with a vehicle. Quiet and at the same time close to the sea. If we come back to Big Island it is undoubtedly at Monique and Tony's. We highly recommend you can go there with your eyes closed

    Eddy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • 5 star accommodations and hospitality. You will not want for anything during your stay. Monique and Tony are very responsive and want to ensure you have the best experience possible. The hosts and accommodations exceeded our expectations.

    Theresa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stellar place! After seeing the pictures expectations were high, but that was nothing compared to what we found. Everything was marvelous and Monique and her husband where tremendous hosts. The place is optimal for two, but we came as a 4 person family (kids 12 and 13) and it worked perfectly. The view, the veranda, the rooms, the pool - everything perfect. The house is very new (Google Maps does not feature it yet) and everything is in great condition. Monique helped with everything and was very forthcoming. We had a great stay and will come again.

    Marcus2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • A+++ Rating Wow, this lovely Airb&b is a real gem ! Great location on the Kona side of the Big Island. Set in a tropical garden, the lanai will be your most used room especially at sunset. Beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Everything you could possibly need has been considered, from snorkeling to practicing your putting. The kitchen is nicely appointed complete with a outside grill. The suites kingsize bed is magical as is the fabulous shower and salt water pool. Your host Monique & Tony are there to greet you, answer questions, give suggestions and see to your every need. They also play a mean game of chess. We spent a restful seven days in Paradise and highly recommend you doing so as well at Holualoa Haven.

    Alice2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Monique and Toni welcomed us upon our arrival with great hospitality and after showing us the beautiful house they made themselves available for advice on the various activities. The view from the balcony is spectacular, you can enjoy fantastic sunsets. The area is residential and quiet, a little out of the chaos of the country (reachable in about 20 minutes by car), but we chose this location because of its tranquility and beauty. We had every comfort and service at our disposal, we really felt at home. Thanks again to Monique and Toni for hosting us in your paradise! We hope to return to visit you in the future. J&J

    Jennifer2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tony and Monique’s place. They are genuinely thoughtful hosts. The kitchen was stocked with juice, cereal, milk, coffee, tea, jam, pasta, a variety of spices so you can have breakfast and cook for yourself with ease. There was no favour that was too big to ask them, and they were incredibly approachable the whole time we stayed. In the apartment itself, all of their kitchenware was of a really high standard and something you’d have at your own home. The highlight was the Lanai which has stunning sunsets and a wonderful place to bbq. Staying in Holualoa was great for us as it’s much cooler than in Kona itself. We would highly recommend Holualoa Haven to any of our friends. Mahalo!

Aloha and e como mai to our Ohia Guest House in beautiful Kailua-Kona. Enjoy your morning coffee gazing out on the Pacific Ocean and in the evening take in the sunset from your own private lanai (deck). We live on 1.5 acres of tropical lush landscape, with many fruit trees, which we love to share with our guests. We are at a cooler more comfortable elevation of approximately 1000 feet. Ohia Guest House is a private well equipped home away from home. It has recently been renovated, and is a separate building from the main house. It comfortably fits 4 people, there is 1 bedroom, living room, 1 full bath, a full kitchen, private laundry, and 2 lanai’s. There is also a BBQ and beach equipment. The master bedroom has a queen bed and there is a double futon in the living room. There are ocean views from all rooms and both lanai’s. The main house and guest house are separated by a breezeway, and each has there own entrance and privacy. Myself, my husband (Kevin), our twins and our friendly cats and dog live in the main house. We love hosting and try our best to make guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay with us. Please note we are smoke free, this includes all types of smoking and vaping.
I love our location, we live a few short minutes from the historical village of Holualoa, 5 minutes from the beautiful white sandy beach of Magic Sands and Kahaluu snorkel beach, and only 10 minutes from downtown Kailua-Kona.

  • Karrie's place was a wonderful beginning to our vacation. Her house has breathtaking views and she has an amazing garden perfect for relaxation. Her two children are adorable and my kids loved spending time with them. A special mention to Scout , who was the first to greet us and would come over every morning and sit beside us. We had bought a lot of stuff at Target for our stay but were pleasantly surprised that she had EVERYTHING you need for your stay. Her kitchen utensils were sparkling clean, she added thoughtful touches , so incase you forget something you will definitely find it at her place. She also has beach towels, chairs and other beach stuff for use. Also both the sofa bed and the queen bed were very comfortable. Thanks Karrie for making our stay memorable!

  • This AirBnB is exactly what a couple needs. The location is excellent thanks to its incredible view and proximity to good roads. The unit features a main bedroom, as well as a living space that can be used as a second bedroom if you are 2 plus 1. There is also a small but fully functioning kitchen that acts as a connector for the different rooms. Microwave, oven, full size fridge. There are outdoor chairs set at both the front and side of the unit, which allows you to enjoy a meal and a view outside. This owner also has the nicest dog. He will greet you and welcome you to the unit. His smile was infectious and we hated to say goodbye to him. There are also two cats. One of them will swing by for a visit, and the other will stay way. For the location, price, and pets, this AirBnB is well worth a visit to help make your stay that much more enjoyable.

It is well equipped for cooking with rice cooker, blender, toaster, coffee makers and grinder, utensils, pans, etc. Enjoy local foods from farmers markets and living like a local. It is a good kitchen for foodies! We just created a new grill area off the lanai! We have reverse osmosis filtered water in the kitchen . We encourage you to bring your own water bottles to refill. Fred ran a lab at the University of Colorado and has tested the water. In addition, we will supply growlers for you to fill with local beer. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds and overhead fans in each bedroom. Bedding is all cotton and washed in hot water with natural soap with no fragrance. The newly remodeled bathroom has a double shower and a built in bench seat. Cotton towels, soap and shampoo are provided. The futon in the kitchen/living area will sleep two. Note that you have to walk through that area to go to the outside; it is not private. The space would be small for 6 adults. That number is the maximum. This Ohana space is the whole first level with high ceilings and all above grade. It has a private entrance and driveway and carport. Or you may park on the street above the lanai and walk down a short flight of steps to the lanai. There is a washing machine and clothesline for your use. It's very useful to dry your swimsuits and towels after a day at the beach. There is a clothes dryer if necessary. We live on the second floor and will be happy to assist you and want you to enjoy your stay.
Keahou Uka is a quiet residential neighborhood. One block to nice walking and biking to beautiful Walua Road. Nice ocean views and shady trees! Walk, run and bike with the locals! 5 minute drive to Keahou Shopping Center - shopping, grocery, several restaurants, movie theater, drugstore, urgent care, and local entertainment on Fridays. 5 Minute drive to both Magic Sand beach and Kahalu’u Beach - swimming, snorkeling and surfing.
  • This place... wow. I was there for about a week and wished I could stay forever. The house is the perfect size for our party of four. Yes it’s smaller but definitely functional. The beach recommendations were awesome. It was great to have everything within 10-15 minutes. The lanai is gorgeous and the views are amazing. Thanks for an amazing place to stay!!! Highly recommend.

  • A great location, close to beaches and shopping. Really appreciated the kitchen as we made most morning and evening meals at the house. Laundry, outside dining, easy parking, all made our stay incredibly comfortable. The view at breakfast was spectacular. Thank you for the great hospitality!

    Kristin2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The View of the ocean from the Lanai is the prime feature. But everything including the fully stocked kitchen and roomy shower were great. While you could hear the hosts above us it was only significant while they were hosting a birthday party during one of the days we were there. They were super nice about everything, quick to respond, and gave us great advice during our stay.

    Tyler2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay with Julya. We loved the location in Lona but away from the crowded resort properties and we loved sitting outside to admire the view. The kitchen was well appointed and the place relaxing and just what we hoped.

    Lisa2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Julya's place is an absolute dream. We stayed there as a couple, but you could easily have two couples share the space. The bathroom shower is amazing, bedrooms are comfortable and have plenty of closet space, and the kitchen is incredible to cook in. But nothing compares to the outdoor space. We spent almost all of our time just sitting in the outdoor space, which almost serves as a lounge, dining room, and living room all in on its own. The view is spectacular... you won't want to leave!

    Chelsea2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Even nicer than the photos - beautiful spot with everything you could possibly need for your stay! Julya and Fred were lovely

    Anna2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Rent it..... and sit on the lanai at sunrise and sunset, both wonderful times of the day there. Clean and organized, four people max with two double beds and a futon if needed, we had three people and were comfortable for six nights, a good location to hit all the big island sights, car is a must.

    John2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient location and beautiful home. The pictures of the lanai do not do it justice. We were out enjoying Kona most of the day but always tried to be back to watch the sunset from the lanai. It was beautiful. Julya and Fred were great hosts and made sure to check in on us in case we needed anything. We chose to park on the street next to the steps down to the lanai as the incline of the driveway was too intimidating for me. They provided everything you could need for a day at the beach— chairs, towels and cooler bag. Fantastic place would definitely recommend.

Aloha and welcome to our cozy little English Cottage in Hawaii! A charming remodeled classic Kona Coffee Shack. Nestled on a quiet and private acre. Walking distance from the historic village of Holualoa . You can walk to a cafe, restaurant, art galleries, yoga and massage studio, post office and a local store. Just 10 minutes drive from Kona town and a beach. With the 1500 feet elevation you can get away from the heat and enjoy stunning views, starry nights and the sounds of nature.
You will love this little piece of real Hawaii. A traditional building known as a “Hoshidana” or “Star Shelf”, with a sliding roof originally used for coffee drying . Just minutes walk from the village. You will enjoy the lovely nature on this property. And enjoy the natural sounds. Surrounded by ti plants, ferns , banana trees, passion fruit, avocados, lemons and ulu . This relaxed open air and humble home is a true gem. This place has a feel of an English cottage in Hawaii, rustic yet with a modern touch. Your host is an interior decorator originally from England and you will enjoy the simple yet stylish decor. Your stay here will be cozy and comfortable. Your hosts Lulie and John are friendly and helpful with tips on visiting the island. From their 20 years of living here .
This property is 5 minutes walk from the quaint artist village of Holualoa. The cafe serves the best organic Kona coffee. The Holuakoa Gardens is a wonderful, farm to table restaurant in a lovely outdoor setting. You will enjoy strolling the different art galleries and shops and if your stay happens to be on the first Friday of the month, don’t miss Holualoa’s First Friday event when the village comes alive with food booths and music from 5 to 8pm. The drive to Kona town is about 15 minutes. The Airport is a 20 minute drive away. The closet beach is Magic Sands, about 10 minutes away.
  • A very stylish, clean, and charming home in a quiet and sweet town near Kona. Beautiful sunset view! I felt very comfortable there and would love to return someday.

    Jason2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay with Lulie and John this past weekend! Their place is a bit off the beaten path but was surprisingly central to all our daily activities. The dogs, Zoro and Bam Bam were two of the friendliest dogs I have ever met and will greet you as you drive up. (Zoro is pretty fond of belly rubs) The cats were very friendly as well and will come out to rub up on you anytime you go out on the patio. My best advice is to read the description carefully. If you're a nature lover and don't mind the occasional insect or gecko, this is the right place for you. If you're a light sleeper, you'll want to bring ear plugs since the chickens tend to crow at random times throughout the night and the symphony of coqui frogs will either put you to sleep, or keep you awake depending on the kind of sleeper you are.

    Keith2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful jungle hut, very comfortable, friendly host. Great neighborhood with an excellent coffee shop and interesting little stores within walking distance. 15 minute drive from city center. A little bit hard to find but host provides detailed instructions. Definitely worth a visit!

    Josh2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lulie’s Cottage was both exactly as described and beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived, when greeted by Lulie, until our departure our stay was full of the aloha spirit. If we get the chance to visit the big island again we would definitely try to stay at the English Cottage.

    Ian2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lulie's Place, or Fern House, as i think of it, is one of the neatest and most unique stays I have had on the Big Island; it's really a world apart from all the other experiences I have had during my 3-month stay on the island. It feels quite remote, but actually very close to the village, yet quiet and a restful. Mahalo for the chance to stay in a fully renovated coffee drying shack above the coast! Teo

    Teo2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lulie was out of town, but we met her family and they were so friendly and accommodating. Its up on a hill and secluded with a nice view. It was great to sit outside on the decks with a book and listen to all the nature around you. They do have a lot of frogs at night and of course the roosters in the morning but we weren't bothered by that. It was a fantastic way to end our trip!

    Kevin2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish house, friendly pets

    Joao Victor2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is close enough to Kona to be close to the attractions and shopping, but far enough away to feel like you're no where near the busy-ness of the city. The only thing you'll hear at night is the sweet sounds of Hawai'i Island nature. Google maps will not take you here, follow directions from the host. Suggest taking a jeep, truck, or SUV; you'll be in a rural area and access is through an unimproved single lane road. Simple, clean accommodations in a country environment. The chorus of croaking frogs will put you to sleep in less than 10 mins. Beware the roosters crow early. This is the place to leave behind the cares of life and just relax. Beautiful lanai and front porch are very inviting. But if you want to feel connected, there is wi-fi or take a short 15-20 min trip to Kona. The hostess, Lulie, is very inviting and truly wants you to feel welcome. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with hostess and family, but they make every effort to stay out of your way. Highly recommend.

Aloha! Holualoa Ekahi is close to Holualoa Village, Kailua-Kona town, the ocean and beaches, airport, shopping and restaurants. We love the quaint, cool and country atmosphere here in Holualoa. This is a new home with comfy queen bed and furnishings, spacious walk-in shower, large covered lanai to enjoy the outdoors, cable TV, Wifi, washer & dryer, full kitchen and amenities. Most comfortable for singles or couples. If traveling with a 3rd person there is a sofa sleeper in the living area.
Our guest house is new, clean, spacious and private. We hope you feel at home here! The huge lanai across the front welcomes you to enjoy the ocean view and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen is well equipped with full size appliances, microwave, pots/pans, etc. There is a coffee maker and French press for local ground coffee. We provide 4 sets of bath towels, beach towels, essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, some toilet tissue) and clean lines at each check in. There are beach chairs, umbrella, boogie board and coolers for your outdoor adventures. The house is new, clean with fresh linens at every check in. Please no smoking in or near the house.
  • Sweet spot outside of Kona town. The space is comfy and has all the essentials. Holualoa is up mauka and a nice break from the Kona heat and hustle and bussle of the tourist hot spots! We enjoyed drinking coffee on the lanai and feeding the resident chickens every morning. Our infant son also enjoyed the space and loved hanging out in all the flora and fauna on the property! Will definitely be back again!

    Hoku2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really lovely! It's up in the hills, a short drive from the city center and ocean. I loved having the sounds of Hawaii out our windows each night; so much better than city white noise back home! The guesthouse is the perfect size for a couple, and we spent a lot of time out on the lanai looking out at the ocean, plants, and neighborhood chickens. 100% recommend!

    Jennifer2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Rachelle and Hailey's place was way better then we had expected. Everything was very clean and the layout of the bnb itself was good and very cute. Would definitely stay here again. We made friends with the local chicken roaming around.

  • faithful to the announcement

    Francine2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The amenities such as shampoo & conditioner, laundry detergent, cooking spices, etc. really made our stay that much nicer. We had finished our two day stay up at the Waikoloa to come stay at the cottage so we could have our own space and cooking facilities, and didn’t miss the Hilton at all because we really enjoyed your space! Even used the grill one evening after picking up short ribs at Costco! So delish!

    Nicole2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, clean, very well organized. My favorite space to stay at when I come home for business or family events. Mahalo Rachelle and Hailey for making me feel like I never left home with all the amenities offered.

    Kimberly2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, humble and clean with all the necessary amenities. Very typical place of Big Island in the heights in Holualoa. We suggest it and will gladly return.

    Stephan2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED our stay in Holualoa! Experiencing Hawaii in up-country is such a beautiful and wholesome way to soak up the true feel of the island. The space itself was extremely clean and I was so happy that there were absolutely no bugs inside the home at all during our stay. The location is a quick drive to Ali’i Drive and the “downtown” area, but far enough away where you can get the full country feel. Great amenities in the kitchen and other areas of the home. Nice to have full laundry facilities as well. A note, if you decide to book: Don’t get a rental car that’s low to the ground, otherwise you will likely scrape on the driveway (it’s not overly steep, and it is paved).

A peaceful mountain retreat with creative vibe, private entry, balcony and big comfy king-size bed! This is the perfect place to escape the hustle.. only 15 minutes from the ocean and the center of Kona. We are surrounded by tropical nature, flowers, and mature fruit trees. Your private ocean-view porch has a hanging swing, a perfect little nook to enjoy your morning coffee or a good book. The kitchen has everything you need! You'll feel right at home here... this is a true Hawaii experience!
  • Cute little place, really loved the balcony with a gorgeous view of the sun setting on the ocean.

    Tracy2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great location to be out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona, but close enough to easily get to all the highlights as well. The space itself was peaceful and we loved watching the birds in the morning and evening having a meal on the Lanai. KJ was available if needed, but we found everything was great so didn't end up interacting much at all. Overall it was great, would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

    Kathryn2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • KJ’s house was cozy and very clean. The best part is the outdoor balcony, which offered a fantastic view and a cute spot for our daily breakfast. I highly recommend this place!

  • Location is away from the hustle and bustle of Kona. Lovely to be amongst macadamia trees, fresh avacadoes and orange trees. Went into Holualoa for the festival on first Friday of the month. Lots of music and great food.

  • A beautiful space in a beautiful part of the island. The porch is in an incredible spot for viewing the sunset and the sounds at night are incredible. A lot of great touches to the place. Would definitely stay again :) thanks KJ!

  • Sandy stopped in a couple of times in our 4 day stay. She was warm and friendly. I had to change my dates and. This was done effortlessly and quickly. This is a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of Kona! It was a 10-15 min trip down the mountain to shops, gas stations and resorts. The roosters are active! There is a pet chicken Bella who comes into the porch. The porch is a lovely place to relax. Overall it has a homey feel, less like a resort. A nice place to come home to after a busy day

    Kelly2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • It was a treat to stay at Sandy’s place! Being up in the hills above Kailua-Kona really felt like a tropical getaway. The space was comfortable and well appointed, and had plenty of room for everyone. Comfy beds, porch/lanai was a great space as well. Everything was super clean and easy to use. Kitchen had plenty of equipment, perfect for making breakfast in the mornings. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Sandy's place is very nice. It's super clean, very cute, has everything you need, and it's a great deal. Check-in is super easy and convenient, and the place is somehow even cuter than the pictures. I really enjoyed my time there and wish I could've stayed longer.

    Bria2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cute house with a sweet vibe. We needed somewhere for one night on the evening we arrived, and this was great. We could easily have stayed longer but it was booked solid. Best part for us was the outdoor porch area, covered, with a view of the water. Perfect spot to have a cup of coffee to start the day. Our two kids (10 and 12) shared the queen in the second bedroom and it was fine. Hosts were super responsive and helpful.

    Andrew2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • A nice escape from reality. The stay has beautiful views from the patio; really nice way to start your morning.

  • Beautiful rainforest-like getaway high above the ocean. We were greeted by a hen and her chicks walking across the driveway. Place was sparkling clean and directions to a hard to find spot were very easy to follow. It gets cold up in the mountains but there were extra blankets and the space warmed up as soon as we closed the louvered windows. Perfect spot

This is a very small space that is meant to serve the basic needs of travelers on a budget. Comfortable, clean, detached studio guesthouse conveniently located close to downtown Kailua-Kona yet removed from the hustle and bustle in a residential neighborhood. 20 minutes from the airport.
This is a very small space, approximately 300 sq ft. Perfect for solo or couple travelers on a budget. It will meet your basic needs with a comfortable place to sleep, shower, a microwave, dishes, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, and two fans. The room can get hot during the day, especially during hotter times of the year, yet since it is located at a fairly high elevation it cools down nicely at night. Two fans provided. There is no closet or dresser but there are some shelves that can be used for clothing storage. Wifi provided. Conveniently located a mile and a half from Safeway and Walmart and approximately a 10 minute drive from downtown Kailua-Kona. This is a very old Hawaiian neighborhood and the space is an old structure. Although it is clean and comfortable, this is Hawaii, please do not be frightened if you encounter some ants in the unit. The shower is very old and has collected some stains over the years but I assure, it is scrubbed after each guest checks out. Must be okay with animals as there is a cat that lives on the property and hangs out in the carport area nearby the unit and will most likely come to say hello. He does not have access to your unit if you do not want him to. There are also two dogs that live on the property but you will most likely not encounter them as they live in the main house and stick to the backyard. The houses in this neighborhood are close together and windows are left open for a nice island breeze so please expect to hear some level of neighborhood life.
Old residential neighborhood. Home is located on a quiet cul de sac. 1.5 miles from Safeway and Walmart. 10 minute drive to downtown Kona and 20 minutes from the airport.
  • Super clear and timely communication with easy check in. A perfect little spot for a traveler on a budget.

  • Hannah’s place was perfect for our one night stay after a long flight from NYC. Easy check in, comfy bed and some nice reading material about the big island made for a short lovely stay. Also appreciated the soft fluffy towels to wash the long plane ride off (it’s the little things :) Thanks Hannah!

    Nitasha2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy to get to from the airport using google. Great location to downtown Kona (about 8 min drive). Very clean and quite. Exactly like the pictures! Great space for the price.

    Patricia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is excellent if you need a spot to stay close to the airport! The bed was super comfortable and the host provided us with two towels! There were two fans to keep you nice and cool. Ideal for a couple or solo traveller. We were only there for one night and was staying at another Airbnb for the week. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it wasn’t the most clean.. it smelled a little musty and there were splatters all over the mirror in the bathroom.. it’s super convenient but I probably wouldn’t stay here for more than a night or two..with that being said the host was very quick to respond and overall was a pleasant interaction/experience.

    Sav2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great as a stop over near the airport--had everything you need! Hannah was great, and answered my call when I got lost. A very gracious host! Thank you!

    Cindy2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We felt comfortable and can recommend it. Unit larger than expected. Functionally furnished. However, there is no storage space. No closet, no clothes rail, few hooks. The fridge in the room runs quietly. Microwave, coffee machine and basic kitchen equipment available. Wifi stable. Cleanliness ok, same as bed linen and towels. No roommates with multiple legs. Wash and dry for free. Quiet surroundings. Pure residential area in the hills in front of Kona. Parking in front of the door. 5 minutes by car to the next Walmart / Safeways. From 10 minutes by car into the tourist bustle. Easy check in and check out. Contact the landlord only in writing, not in person. Hannah always replies super quickly. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio was very good. It was enough to sleep. We would book it again for this.

A bright and modern room in a stunning, open air house that is just 10 minutes to the nearest beach and to town. Enjoy a beautiful pool, ocean views from the lanai, and laid back Hawaii living. The house has a koi pond, eclectic decor, and backs out to a beautiful nature reserve.
The Koi House is a home that echos a relaxed way of life. It is an open air space with plants, a koi fish pond, natural and upcycled materials, and serene forest & ocean views. * This is a room in a shared space, with 2 other rooms nearby. The vibe is casual, communal and friendly. * The room, like most homes in Hawaii, has no air conditioning. There are 3 fans in the room. Summers, especially, are hot. Please keep this in mind when booking. We live here year round without A/C but highlight it here since we know it is important to some travelers. * Young kids live in the main part of the home.
The neighborhood is very central to Kona town, but quiet and suburban in style. Our house sits at the edge of a nature reserve, so it feels rural and private. The location is really convenient- close to the highway that takes right into town within 10 min, close to Alii Dr. right along the ocean (by Magic Sands and Kahaluu Beach park), close to many snorkeling locations down south.

  • Nathan and Larisa’s farm is a unique and special place. With fruit trees with fruit available for the picking, incredible views of the ocean, farm, fruit trees etc, an outdoor fireplace to enjoy in the evenings and ample space it far exceeded our expectations. I would recommend doing your research ahead of time to find grocery stores and other necessities as it is a bit of a trek up the mountain to get to the house and the incredible views awaiting. It is conveniently located just outside of Kailua-Kona, making it a quiet and relaxing retreat outside of town.

  • One of my favorite Airbnb experiences ever! Larisa and Nathan’s house is in an awesome location only 15 or 20 minutes from town and on a Kona coffee farm. The view from the lanai is spectacular, the house was spotless when we arrived and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. Melissa, who maintains the property was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back next year!

    Melinda2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at the coffee farm! The house was sparkling clean and we got fresh fruit from the garden. The hosts are amazing people! They gave us loads of great advice on what to do in the area and went above and beyond to make our stay great! I highly recommend their lovely farm! I will definitely be back if I get the chance to visit the island again!

  • This rental property will exceed all of your expectations. The location and the view are beyond stunning for there natural beauty. The rental is immaculately clean and features very modern amenities while still maintaining a warm homey feel. All the beds were exceptionally comfortable as was the temperature thanks too the air conditioning. The kitchen was modern, stylish, functional and enjoyable to use. Melissa, the property manager, was the finest amenity that the property had to offer. She was warm and informative and brought us fresh fruit and eggs daily. Only a few minutes up the road is the Buddha Cup Coffee Farm which was a zen haven for coffee lovers. I would return to this rental over and over again and be just as happy each and every time.

    Michele2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • So beautiful! Lovely view from the lanai, and so nice to sit up a little higher in the mountains with a cooler breeze. The co-host Melissa was exceptional with her hospitality as well. My five year old just said how much she missed Miss Melissa and her turkey flock. Thank you so much and I can't imagine how it could be more perfect. Great location for a larger group. Paradise!

  • Pictures doesn’t do the property justice. My friends and I stayed only one night and wished we stay a week. Every kitchen appliance and cooking items was in the house making it so fun to host our bbq. Their bbq is amazing. Everything was clean and organized. One thing that stands out is how insulated their house was so you won’t be bothered by the frogs. Thank you!

    Lisa2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wow!!!! What a gem! We had such an amazing time in Hawaii. We traveled with our toddler and felt so comfortable. Larisa and Nathan have remodeled this wonderful farm home into a spectacular rental. Melissa takes care of property and made us feel so comfy and was there for any questions. Will always remember the thought and welcoming nature of this home. Thank you again!

  • The house is perfect! The view is phenomenal! We were a group of 6 adults. Each of the 4 bedrooms has it's own bathroom. The living space is super comfortable. The kitchen is stocked so well. We cooked most nights and lacked for nothing to prepare our meals. We even had a professional chef one night and he had everything he needed in this kitchen. The best part of the house is the amazing outside space. The infinity pool looks out at the ocean. There are chairs on the covered deck and chairs in the sun. We used the hot tub on many evenings. We all agreed that this house is the best! None of us wanted to leave. Heather, who is the local caretaker, was so easy to work with. She made sure the house was sparkling clean, answered our questions promptly and was so helpful on suggestions for the local area. The house has everything needed for a great stay. The house was stocked with enough paper towels, Laundry Detergent, soap, shampoo, Toilet paper, dish soap when we arrived so we didn't have to rush to the grocery store!!

  • This is the best Airbnb/hotel I have ever stayed in. It is quiet, clean, beautiful, and they get everything we could possibly need for our stay.

  • Amazing House! After many trips to Hawaii we can easily say this was the best trip yet. Believe it or not -the pictures do not do it justice. The view is second to none. The house has everything you could possibly need or want. The location is perfect for day trips out -if you ever actually want to leave the house. It’s the perfect house for 4 couples. And Heather was a fantastic host. Can’t wait to go back.

    Nicole2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. What a view! This is a beautiful home, stocked with everything you need -- what a nice change -- in fact, we even bought a few things after seeing them in this house. But you won't notice that, not at first, because the view from this house is just unbelievable. We had a lovely time, greatly assisted by a very attentive and expert hostess. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

  • Perfect house with amazing views!

    Christine2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The most beautiful place on the entire island. I could be wrong but I highly doubt it. Heather was incredibly accommodating and the place was a dream. 5 of us stayed there comfortability for 7 days and we probably would’ve been happy if we never had to leave! Incredible property incredibly well kept and Maintained. Would recommend everyday to everyone.

    Kendall2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Anna and Heather were superstar hosts. From pre-planning, checking-in, during the stay and check-out our experience was flawless and enjoyable. Heather helped us organize our itinerary, book activities with great partners, deliver groceries and answer questions. The house is even more beautiful in person, the amenities and attention to detail are refreshing and remove any ounce of stress. Anna’s beautiful artwork adds a unique touch. Our experience was better than a 5 star resort. Highly recommend staying at the Aolani House and looking forward to returning!!

  • Melinda is such a nice lady. She allowed us to change the reservation so we can flight back home early due to the outbreak of COVID-19. She responded quickly when messaged her. My son loved the board games and Wii games in the live room too. Location is a bit hard to find as the address shared by two buildings with A and B difference and google map is not accurate, so we had to ask around to find it. but the view is great and the avocado fell from tree is huge. :-) Would love to stay longer if possible. Thanks to host us.

    Jenny2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect place for us. Good location for all trips, very good facilities, everything was there. The road to the house is a bit steep with a big car. We felt very comfortable. A great veranda with a wonderful view. Mahalo

    Katrin2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice location. Far from the big tourist spots, without being too far either. The location is great, in nature. Melinda was welcoming and kind. Overall the experience is good. The cleaning is done, but the walls are dirty and the couches dusty and with cat hair. 2 cats live in the house downstairs; but goes upstairs (part which is rented airbnb) and he is able to open the door. I think some visitors let him in. My allergies manifested quite a bit. But hey, I would come back to this place without asking myself the question; we liked a lot. :) Really cheap for what it is!

  • Breathtaking beautiful view of the valley and ocean from the wraparound porch. Kitchen has everything needed for fixing a quick meal. The sink, as mentioned previously, has been well used but functional. 2 nice bedrooms with storage. Many amenities to bath area. Owner lives downstairs and will be readily accessible if needed. Enjoyed our stay

    Diane2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Spacious place set up in the mountains. Quiet at night with just some nature sounds. Very peaceful.

    Josh2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The lanai was a wonderful place for morning tea or sunset relaxing. The beds were very comfortable. It was a great base for jumping off into our adventures.

    Denise2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful view! Spacious home. We loved having access to a full kitchen and made use of the stove, rice cooker, and coffee maker. Not as much wiildlife ambiance as other places on the island, but at night we did hear the occasional coqui or falling avocado. Driveway is a little tricky to get out of (on a steep hill, in the bend of a winding road). Would stay here again!

Relax watching tropical fish, turtles, dolphins and whales (depending on season) and fall asleep with the soothing sound of the waves! Right next door from Magic Sands Beach, one of the few white sand beaches on the island. ~~NEW, on-site Restaurant w/ bar & beach shack and an incredible panoramic Ocean view now open for your convenience! Enjoy a Sunset cocktail & meal~~
This studio has just been remodeled in Oct 2018 and it still has the nice, new smell inside. This condo is fully equipped to make you feel right at home. It features a brand new full kitchen with dishwasher for your convenience and full size (5 burner) stove in case you want to cook some good food. All the appliances are stainless steel and brand new. Bedroom, dining area and living area also feature new furniture. This condo does not have AC installed, but it features 2 large ceiling fans and a large tower fan. If you open the sliding glass doors by the ocean and the screened in front door it keeps the place cooler. Both the Queen size bed and the Queen size sofa bed have very comfortable and brand new memory foam mattresses. The headboard in bedroom features USB ports on both sides so you can easily recharge your electronic devices. The 43" flat screen TV comes with Spectrum Cable service featuring a bunch of HD channels and also a Chromecast device that will allow you to cast anything from your phone or computer (Netflix, Hulu, SlingTV, etc...) Lightning fast wifi internet connection at 200 Mbps All new beach gear for your use include: boogie boards, snorkel gear with fins, beach chairs and towels, umbrella and beach cooler with ice packs. Amenities include an oceanfront swimming pool, 2 BBQ grills and a patio dining area also in front of the ocean. A free private parking spot is available just a few steps from the front door and a coin-op laundry room..
This is one of the best neighborhoods you can stay at in Kona. It's one of the few places with a white sandy beach at walking distance. It is a great central location far enough from town to not feel crowded but close enough to shops and restaurants. A great place for snorkeling is a little more than 1 mile away at Kahalu'u Beach Park. Also just 2 miles away you can find Keauhou Shopping Center with its grocery store and restaurants.
  • Clean, crisp, fresh, convenient and comfortable, this spacious studio was our retreat for 16 glorious days. "Tropical Beauty" is well appointed with an uncluttered beachy feel ... exactly as pictured. All previous reviews are spot on ... 5-star! Check in was a snap (even at 1:30 am) and communication with Luc and Johanna was frequent and attentive. We especially enjoyed the coffee station, USB ports in the headboard, large night tables with good reading lamps, abundant hot water with solid water pressure, quality towels and linens and the very handy drying rack. Fans and ocean breezes kept us cool and comfortable each day. Everything was provided to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. Mahalo, Luc and Johanna for your care and attention. We truly hope to return next year. Debbie & Ken Vancouver Island, BC

  • Great place to stay! Nice touch having the beach equipment. Tucked in between a beach and a park. Nice to have a restaurant on site. Will be back!

  • I recommend staying here. It’s an amazing location. Beautiful beach. Great view. Parking is super easy. Restaurant on site. Clean, really nice apartment. Fall asleep listening to the waves. Everything as advertised.

  • I love this place! Great location, and has everything you will need. It was a ole sent surprise to have boogie boards available to us. Would stay here again!

  • Luca and Johanna's place is exactly as they present it. It was sparkling clean, up-to-date and stylish and has everything you need for a great stay. The view is fantastic. Even better is the sound of the waves through the night, the were very dramatic and a highlight. Communication with Luca and Johanna was perfect. They were responsive to every query and need during our stay, along with great follow-up. They are the model hosts.

    Bruce2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • An excellent choice for a couple! We looked at many beautiful condos but many were huge, multi-room offerings. This was the perfect size at a reasonable price. The place was beautiful, with a large window that opened up to the ocean. Magic sands beach is right next door - but you do need to rent a car. We weren't impressed with the on-site restaurant. But we enjoyed the swimming pool and the on-site management was very friendly. The room had everything you would need in way of kitchen and beach accessories. There was even a Lonely Planet guide book! We hope to visit again next year and this would be our first choice!

    Jennifer2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • I am grateful and pleased to stay in such relaxing accommodations. Everything was there for me. Even beach equipment; chairs, cooler, umbrella towels 😊

Stay in this modern room in a shared guest wing of a stunning, open air house that is just 10 minutes to the beach and downtown. You will enter this unique home by a stone bridge over the koi pond before enjoying a beautiful pool, ocean views from the lanai, and laid back Hawaii living. A few things to note: -The room has 3 fans, but like most Hawaiian homes, no A/C. Summers, especially, are hot. Please keep this in mind when booking. -This is a room in a shared space, with 2 other guest rooms nearby. Living room and kitchen are shared. -Young kids live in the main part of the home.
The Koi House is a home that echos relaxed way of life. It is an open air space with plants, a koi fish pond, natural and upcycled materials, and serene forest & ocean views. * The vibe is casual, communal and friendly. * I've worked hard to cultivate an eco-minded authentic space full of vintage textiles, natural accents, contemporary decor and a welcoming atmosphere that I enjoy sharing with guests and friends from all over the world.
The neighborhood is quiet and suburban in style, while the house's setting at the edge of a nature reserve delivers rural privacy. Both the town and the beach are only 10 minutes away, and there are many fine snorkeling locations down south. A car is a necessity on the island and in this neighborhood.
