In addition, there are quite a few downhill ski slopes and cross-country skiing trails available in winter. The popular destinations Wasserkuppe and Milseburg can be reached in about 10 minutes by car. More than 20 years ago we bought the Sheikh House, a single house in the beautiful volcanic region of Vogelsberg. In the past, the farmhouse consisted of a dwelling house, a stable and the barn. We both worked in tourism and managed a holiday village for a long time. When we retired, we decided: This is not possible without guests!
