  • We had a great stay at Anson's place. The location is a perfect jumping off point to explore the Gorge, and we enjoyed the Klickitat Rails Trail along the Klickitat River. The game room and all the kid-friendly touches at the house were a wonderful surprise! Our toddler enjoyed her stay, and we felt good knowing she was safe and welcome in the home. Cute decorations and very clean. Definitely recommend!

  • The hosts were amazing. They were always quick to answer and provided us with any help we needed. We mentioned an A/C and Jeff bought a window unit for us. Soo sweet. His wife was very sweet to our daughter as well. Highly recommend!

  • This place was great! It was a nice, quiet getaway. The apartment is comfortable. The night sky was amazing! There is wifi, thankfully. Not much cell service in the area if you have AT&T. The hosts are very nice, thoughtful and responsive.

    Kendra2020-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff & Ann are superhosts! Their communication is prompt, and accurate. The space is very clean and tidy, with many thoughtful extras that go beyond basics. I’d venture a guess that the space dates to the early 1980s, and in this case that’s a good thing with vaulted ceilings and windows that nearly reach floor to ceiling. The whole space is very well maintained, comfortable and quiet. If you’re staying in the Goldendale area, skip the iffy motels. Jeff and Ann will make you feel like you’re visiting old friends.

    Ron2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Great hosts. And fun to walk around the neighborhood and get a feel for rural Goldendale.

    John2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's such a lovely place and nice stay here. The house and the scenery around are really superb. Jeff and Ann are supper kind, warmhearted and generous. And thank you so much for your gift, we like it very much, and really appreciate it. Goldendale is such an amazing place. Mount hood and mount Adams greeted us every day. The starry starry night never failed to fascinate us all these days. The historic houses in the downtown, the golden and endless grassland, the gorgeous Columbia river gorge..... Seven days is really not enough to explore around the Goldendale. Hope next time we can spend more time here. Thank you so much for your hospitality and see you next time.

  • It’s a good amount of space and comfy beds, right downtown. I’d stay there again. Just be aware, not a full kitchen, only a toaster oven.

  • The space was very clean when we arrived. We were very happy to find out about the sound system, which made for a very fun night of pool and poker. The bathroom was also very nice.

You are invited to stay in a Klickitat County landmark, listed on both the state and federal registers of historic places. The Red House built for the ‘Horse King of the Northwest’ Charles Newell and his wife Mary in 1890, is now a distinctive vacation rental. The Red House’s three stories are furnished with art, antique/vintage finds, colored glass windows, original ornamental trim, fresh linens and comfortable beds. The house is well equipped and designed for relaxing.
The Red House is steeped in history and local lore. On the dining room side table, you will find a red binder that gets you up to speed on the house’s past. As you spend time in its rooms, my hope is that the house and its furnishing bring to mind a long held cherished family retreat. From the high Victorian front porch, thru the large 5 paneled front door, the entryway with its 10-foot ceilings and stained glass windows give you a good idea of what awaits. You can access the winding narrow stairs to the upper stories, or enter the formal living and dining room with their large matching brass light fixtures. The colorful upholstered vintage velvet chairs and couch pick up the stained-glass panes of the windows, and are a great place to sit and discuss the day, take tea or simply soak in the house's ambiance. The oval antique dining table and chairs can seat 8 comfortably (additional leaves are located in the 1st floor bedroom closet). Off these rooms is the bathroom. The small marble topped vanity with chrome inspired Victorian taps and claw foot tub with shower head are surrounded by multicolored tiles that defy description. I have grown fond of these tiles, but I must be honest it was not love at first sight. What changed? Without my glasses, they form a nice tartan plaid. The first-floor bedroom contains a double bed from Europe. This sleigh bed with inlaid wood on the headboard and footboard faces 3 brightly stained glass windows overlooking the iris and peony garden. The 2 slight faux bamboo antique chairs used as bedside tables, are from a Yale University ballroom, so I've been told. Originally this room was the dining room. The heart of this historic house, the sunny farmhouse kitchen has seen many a home cooked meal. Sit a spell and have a cup of coffee and plan your next delicious meal. You will find the kitchen has what you need. The apron sink, microwave, and gas stove are recent additions. Laundry/mud room is to the right. Placed In front of the window is a burgundy velvet settee that has been in the house for decades. Off the kitchen is the fireplace room. The cathedral ceiling, pole rafters, large rock fireplace and locally salvaged board and batten siding and ancient hand hewn beams give the room a lodge look and feeling, very different from the rest of the house. Roku TV and board games are here. On the walls are several art pieces depicting The Red House. Next to the fireplace is a photo from the 20's or 30's showing the long gone service portions of the house. From the back yard, looking at the house a friend mentioned she now knows how the old lady in the shoe felt living in a shoe. I had to laugh. The main part of the house, tall and narrow, the fireplace room and kitchen, low slung, I saw her point, a gigantic shoe. Going back to the front hall, 2 double sash windows with colored glass cast a medieval glow over the stairs. On the second floor are 3 bedrooms. To the left is the ‘horse bedroom’, so named for all the horse artwork. The Red House brush and ink drawing is a gift from my talented friend in a shoe. The double size iron bed is from my grandparent’s farmhouse outside of Goldendale. The next bedroom forms a suite; the bigger bedroom houses landscape paintings, a Victorian sunflower emblem double bed and matching marble topped vanity that's kept company with the laundry room settee. The smaller adjoining bedroom room contains a single sized day bed, large European armoire and vintage children’s picture books that I picked up at the Goldendale Library book sales for their vintage illustrations. The room is very cozy and sunlit. On to the 3rd floor attic suite. High above the surrounding neighborhood, these 2 rooms offers a private sitting room, Roku TV and queen-sized bed. The attic’s shiplap walls, odd ceiling angles, vintage suitcases, and wood picnic baskets harken to the rooms former use a trunk room and the help’s space. The Red House is like a time machine with modern amenities. For me the house brings back forgotten memories while creating new ones, I hope this is true for you too.
The neighborhood around The Red house is laid back and friendly. Take a walk to Goldendale's small downtown and chances are folks will say hi. Holcomb's Supermarket is several blocks away. Antiquing at Chloe's, is rewarding. Monkeyshines down the street is a gallery, studio, and small antique shop that is owned by Sandra. You will find vintage clothing, Sandra's mosaic sculptures that are treasures in themselves and antique art and dish-ware. Next door The Glass Onion is always a great meal. For me their clam chowder cannot be beat, but then thats probably true of everything they serve. The Town House can be counted on for hearty breakfasts and lunches. Gee's serves good burgers and old style Chinese food. For standard Mexican food there is Ayutlas Family Mexican Restaurant. In the warmer months the food truck Taqueria Veracruz serve perhaps more authentic Mexican food. There are several choices for pizza in Goldendale; The Glass Onion, Uncle Tony's, Pete's, and Papa John's. Further out in the little town of Klickitat is the funky Huntington's Steakhouse. I haven't been here, but several guest make it a point of dining here when they come to Goldendale. For coffee, friends of mine stick to the 3 coffee kiosk in town. The Goldendale Chamber of Commerce has a cornucopia of brochures for things to do and explore. They are open most weekday mornings to the early afternoon. The Chamber's web site has an up to date event calendar. Klickitat County has a number of wineries, Maryhill Winery (15 minutes away by car) is perhaps the best known, but Waving Tree in Maryhill is very good, and has the distinction of being founded by long time local. I also am fond of Cascade Cliffs. In season, the Maryhill Museum of Art and the Presby Museum are worth a peak for different reasons. The Klickitat trail, at Harm's Road off the Centerville Hgwy. out of Goldendale, has parking, 1 port a potty, and a small railroad trestle crossing over the Swale Creek, it's a nice start for a pleasant walk. The Columbia Hills State Park offers hiking and grand scenic beauty. The Goldendale Observatory and its maze of walking trails is just up the hill overlooking town. The Goldendale Farmers Market at Ekone Park is open on Saturdays, May to September. A road trip on highway 142 to the little town of Klickitat, and then to Lyle is a good way to get a lay of the land. This trip may be of interest to gardeners, as the little secret conifer and general plant nursery located at the bottom of the grade is one of my favorite places. To the east of Goldendale is the small Dandy Valley Farm and Nursery, they have a nice selection of veggie starts, fruit trees, shrubs, and annuals, you can tell they love their plants and what they do. If you want to get fancy, Good News Gardening and the Garden Cafe in Hood River is worth a jaunt.
  • The house was the unexpected highlight of our trip.

  • Jon’s home is so incredibly cute, charming, cozy and clean. We kept marveling on all of the interesting art and antique pieces. A true collection of American pieces. We loved the large but cozy home. There were even Christmas decorations and the kitchen had all you could need plus it was so clean! Would definitely recommend to all if you find yourself needing to stay near Goldendale!

  • What can I say about our stay at The Red House that hasn’t already been said? It was our third time? It is cleaner than any other Airbnb we’ve seen? We found everything we needed? The attention to detail? The fun historical facts? The absolutely marvelous decor? The stellar communication from Jon? Airbnb.........you need to base all of your rentals on this one!!!!

  • Had another great stay at Jon's home! He is so fast to answer all our questions and so accommodating. This home has everything you could possible need too! We just love this location for visiting our nearby family. It's in an amazing location to checkout Hood River and The Dalles too! This was our second stay at this home. The home is so cozy and stays so warm! We will defiantly be back the next time we come for a visit!

  • This house is incredible with so many touches and we would definitely come back in a heartbeat!

    Caitlin2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This house was the perfect fit for a weekend getaway. The house is beautifully historic and there are lots of unique antique decorations that make the house feel like you have gone back in time. The steep stairs may be challenging for someone elderly or with limited mobility (it is a historic house after all), but there is a bedroom on the ground level, which worked great for my mother-in-law and father-in-law and the bathroom is on the ground level as well. The house was large and more than enough space! Jon was excellent at communicating and offered a seamless check-in process. There is great outdoor space for spending time during a warm evening or under the starts. We most of all enjoyed the fireplace room on the back of the house. Jon is a great host and we couldn't recommend the house enough!

    Nicole2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is the third time I have stayed at the Red House. Jon is an outstanding person, and he has done a fantastic job with this wonderful historic house. Truly an outstanding place to enjoy a weekend!

Chris and Shelley were incredibly proactive in their communication and exceptionally hospitable from the moment we pulled in (very nice touch with the welcome sign!). We loved the secluded and private space. The attention to detail for the themed yurt was quite admirable and their passion for what they do with the property was obvious. We hope to come back and get to know you guys better next time! Probably our favorite Airbnb!

  • One of the coolest / unique AirBNB experiences we’ve ever had. The Yurt is awesome! The views of Mount Adams / Klickitat River Valley, the private hiking areas, the wildlife area nearby with elk / deer, the truly isolating quietness made it all such a relaxing weekend. Chris & Shelley were amazing hosts! Could tell they are very serious about maintaining cleanliness & social distancing while still being super inviting and accessible. Highly recommend!

This private, cottage style space is newly remodeled, fully equipped kitchen & bath, sumptuous Marriott queen mattress, all in a rural like setting in town in an established neighborhood. Walking distance to Goldendale Observatory, hiking/mountain bike trails, & close to Maryhill. We love to have students. If you want to book for a month and the space is not available on a weekend or two that you need it, please contact me because I have another property that we can work with.
High above the Columbia Gorge and set on the forested edge of the little town of Goldendale, WA, this newly remodeled cottage style space provides a cozy base from which to explore the charms of the region. Ample off street parking, fully equipped kitchen, and a sumptuous Marriott queen mattress ensure a stress free, relaxing stay. With the Maryhill attractions (museum, winery, fruit stands), St. John's Greek Orthodox monastery (Greek food), Columbia River and Cascade Mountain recreational opportunities all minutes away, as well as some great eats and treats in town, there is plenty to do.
Rural like but still in an established neighborhood with chickens on property and goats on adjoining property. Deer, quail, and wild turkeys are often seen. The property has many very large ponderosa pine. In the winter will be heard and sometimes seen the resident great horned owls.
  • Gail's place is very pleasant and comfortable and she was friendly and helpful. The location is close to both the observatory (and its nearby trails) and is within walking distance of Ekone Park which offers a nice trail along the Little Klickitat River. We had a great time.

  • Wonderful little cottage!!

    Sarah2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in Gail's cottage. Super comfortable, and set-up perfectly. Gail allowed us to bring our two elderly cats, which made it possible for us to get away. During our first night, one of the cat's illness became much worse, and we had to return home a day early. Gail generously refunded us for the night we couldn't stay. Talk about going above and beyond! I hope we get a chance to come back for a longer stay soon.

  • I came to Goldendale to visit Maryhill loops road. I spent all day on the hill. At the end of the day I was exhausted and needed a clean comfortable bed. I got that and more. Kitchen had everything I needed same with bathroom. Drive slowly through the neighborhood. Deer cross the street like children on their way to school.

Luxury camping. Get away. Hide away.
Painted the door and the interior walls during our "quiet time." Added a Roku TV! We are 7 years into hosting and are enthusiastic to host guests again. :) Quiet. Serene. Solid. Cozy. Clean. Our 12' x 18' free standing cabin has queen-sized bed and a bathroom with shower and lots of hot water. It is nestled on a hill just below our home so you have privacy and wilderness without having to hike or go without amenities. We are located between Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood so you can take advantage of what the mountains have to offer (like a great day of skiing!) without having to worry about a long drive home. **We are pet friendly. Maximum of two pets. Thank you!** Room includes: --wi-fi --Roku TV --mini-fridge --linens, towels, and beach towels (we use allergy-sensitive cleaners & detergents) --full bathroom with shower --Keurig coffee maker fully stocked with coffee, decaf, tea, and hot chocolate --ceiling fan --bedside clock with USB dock & outlets for easy phone charging --private deck, great place to enjoy morning coffee or nighttime star gazing --access to covered grilling area (with propane heater!) and grill with side burner --maps and info on local tourist attractions and hikes --circular driveway for easy parking --5 miles to White Salmon, 7 miles to Hood River Check in any time after 3 pm; check out at 11 am. **We are a NO smoking and a NO 420 property. Violation of either of these house rules will result in an immediate $350 cleaning fee.*** We sit on 1500' of Big Buck Creek, just a short walk down from the cabin. We are 35 miles from Mt. Hood Meadows and 25 miles Mt. Adams. Even though the state is slowly opening up, our trails for hiking and exploring are open. Access to kayaking and rafting is still limited. Will keep you updated! **Please note: once you reserve with us, read the driving directions carefully. Please read the written driving directions as the visual landmarks we provide are very helpful. Our driveway is preceded by an uphill, gravel/dirt road (about 1/4 mile in length) that may be a bit bumpy. We have had guests drive here in vehicles from Smart cars to tricked out SUV's with no issues. Always feel free to message us with questions. Got pets? Let us know. Maximum of 2 pets. Please keep dogs leashed by the house, but we do have miles of trails so there are plenty of places to take your four-legged friends for a walk without leashes. Also, please keep pets off the bed. We recommend bringing some extra bedding for your pet. We do stock the cabin with dog towels. If you have your own kayak, you can launch north of us, enjoy a ride down the White Salmon, and pull out at Northwestern Park. NW Park is less than a 1/3 mile to the cabin. We can assist in transportation to or from launch site. Large driveway that circles around can easily accommodate RV's, campers, and horse trailers.
Private but not isolated. A perfect place to launch to events in the Gorge, or a perfect place just to hide away.
  • Absolutely beautiful area, awesome deck with a fantastic view. Very quiet and peaceful, with lots of nice touches in a super cute cabin. Super friendly host as well, would definitely recommend this place!!

  • I loved it here so much! Wonderful for a single person or a couple that doesn’t mind being close- but there’s so much to do outside in this area you won’t be there much anyways. Very peaceful and love that the big window and deck looks out over a wooded canyon. Would absolutely love to come back.

Nestled in the pristine nature of Swale Canyon our a-frame offers a tranquil getaway. Whether you need some quiet time to reflect, write and ponder nature's beauty or you need a place to lay your head after an active day on the Klickitat River or hiking the Klickitat Trail or hunting in the wilderness, our cabin awaits you. No other buildings or residences in sight, you will have true privacy to relax and unwind.
Our a-frame cottage is a work of love that we hope you will enjoy. Many hands have worked on this project. Practically all of the materials have been reclaimed. The entire cottage is fed by a year-round artesian spring. Power is provided by solar. You can lounge by the creek or hike the two miles of private trails here or the hundreds of acres of public land abutting our property or cross the creek and find yourself on the many miles of the Klickitat Trail. The primary residence is located nearly a 1/4 mile from your lodging. We are available if you walk up the hill or by walkie-talkie (no phone coverage here!).
  • Such an amazing trip! Scott and Carrie are such great people with warm and welcoming hospitality. The cabin was clean when we arrived and was so Cozy to stay in. My girlfriend and I had the time of Our lives. We will definitely be going back. The hiking and the scenery was great, such a good Place to unplug and unwind. It’s one for the books!

    Nick2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • I went with four of my friends for a weekend for my birthday, and we had an amazing time. The cabin was clean and stayed warm even when it dropped below freezing outside, and the view was gorgeous- there’s a stream right by the patio that I loved to sit by in the morning. Nitushi (the farm dog) is very sweet and came down to visit. It might seem a little intimidating to be so off grid- no wifi, one outlet, a compost toilet- but Scott was very helpful in explaining how to work everything, and responded quickly on the walkie talkie if we had any issues

    Marie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect and unique.

    Hannah2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and serene spot off the grid! Carrie and Scott were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The solar-powered cabin was comfortable and well-equipped. I liked the composting toilet idea, it worked very well. Scott had good suggestions for places to explore, which we enjoyed in the company of their sweet dog Nitoshi. She was the cherry on top. Highly recommended!

  • A great experience to get away from the business and stress of life and be able to relax in such a beautifuk, secluded area. Pretty hikes, fun exploring the surrounding areas, and a very cute and cozy cabin can be expected!

    Max2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Carrie and Scott's cabin was everything we could want and more. They went above and beyond to assure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I would visit again in a heartbeat. We spent our days relaxing and wish we had more time to hike around. We appreciated the barbeque outside, it was fun to sit out and listen to the crickets while we cooked our dinner. The bed at night was comfortable and we loved being able to listen to the creek while we fell asleep. The area is beautiful and we had no issues at all getting to the cabin.

    Brindy2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic out of the way cabin that is deep in a canyon providing both the convenience of nice accommodations but also very secluded. A rare find. I especially enjoyed the little creek out front and the access to the hiking trails.

Location, Location, Location!!! This basement apartment is quiet, warm and close to everything! Excellent for solo travelers, buddies on a road trip, two couples or families of four on a budget! Pet friendly too so come and enjoy the Columbia Gorge! Weekly rental only beginning in 2018 from June through Sept....still a bargain at $350 per week!
This apartment has a separate entrance and is very private and within walking distance to town. The apartment is quiet, affordable and walking distance to everything and is great for couples, families of four, solo adventurers and your furry friends too! Please be aware though that this is my home and my son and I reside upstairs, so you will probably hear foot traffic in the morning when I am getting ready for work or on the weekends when I get up for coffee. I want you to have a pleasant experience and so far everyone has, but I need you to know about the space you are renting.
We live just on the west end of the awesome little town of White Salmon, about a 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants.
  • Comfortable and private accommodations just a short walk from the shops & cafes in White Salmon.

  • Jonathan is an outstanding host - he quickly to respond to messages and keeps you updated on anything occurring around the property (like a cougar visit!) The space itself is clean and has a variety of kitchenware and cooking options (microwave, toaster oven and a hot plate) to heat leftovers or make meals from scratch. Downtown White Salmon is less than 5 minutes away on foot, and the road does not have heavy traffic. Overall perfect for my needs.

Mosier, Oregon Get away from it all while still being close enough to everything. We are a tiny town, with one restaurant/coffee shop, one church, one school, one post office, and lots of passionate people. Mosier has three, diversely different wineries, heirloom and organic u pick cherries, two hard cider distilleries and a local market that features local produce and products. The earlier mentioned restaurant/coffee shop is locally owned and operated and the coffee is roasted in house. Mosier has several beautiful hikes, lots of roads and trails for biking, a swimming hole, spring time wild flowers, and a small sandspit for kiting/wind surfing. The Columbia River Gorge Mosier is one of the towns along the Columbia River and included in the National Scenic Area. The Columbia River Gorge is home to 90 waterfalls on the Oregon side alone. There is world class kite boarding, wind surfing, rafting, fishing, boating, kayaking, etc, etc...the gorge is also home to the Historic Columbia River Highway, many wineries, artisan beers, seasonal fruits and vegetables, amazing restaurants. The gorge truly has something for everyone.

We will absolutely be back.

Introducing the newest jewel in our crown: The Ravens' Nest opens her Wings to you. This snug riverside bungalow has everything you need. Relax in your separate bedroom overlooking a waterfall year-round. Cook up a storm in our kitchen. Eat at the dinning room table or out on the deck. If you are planning an event or reunion, check out the Spirit Lodge as well. Between the two there are accommodations for up to 10 people in the same gorgeous, convenient location. Lots of parking.
This is a simple cabin made with rough-cut wood, inside and out. It sits right on the edge of the wild and scenic White Salmon river. It is intimately imbued with all the natural elements. Open the sliding glass door in either the bedroom or living room and take in the sound of the rushing water. Wildflowers carpet the banks (that were recently lake bottom) in spring. Ice cold Big Buck Creek from the nearby melting glaciers of Mt. Adams joins the White Salmon right here in this cul de sac of three cabins. The Ravens' Nest, the Spirit Lodge, and our cabin. Be sure to look up Spirit Lodge if you want friends and family to join you in this sacred place. We encourage all respectful guests to bring their beloved pet, but we’d like to hear about your particular dog, only because some dogs are too big or boisterous for these small cabins. Also, we do ask that you leave us $10.00 cash per night for your dog.
This is in a delightful location, a short walk from the kayak and raft take out @ Northwestern Park. In the spring/summer there’s nothing more thrilling than a raft trip with one of the outfitters in Husum or BZ Corner just a few miles up the road. Go horseback riding at the nearby stables. Explore the whole Mt Adams corridor up Hwy 141. So full of “Curious Gorge” sights and sounds plus the exhilarating smell of nothing but Mother Nature’s own perfume. We are within easy driving distance to so much that makes the Columbia River Gorge a stunning vacation destination: wineries, breweries, cider houses, waterfall and wildflower hikes, bald eagle watching, winter sports, windsurfing and meandering the paths and back roads of some of the countries most beautiful places. We are about 12 minutes from downtown White Salmon which is a lovely little mountain town with drop dead gorgeous views of Mt. Hood and some great dining options (Everybody's Brewing, White Salmon Baking Co., Pioneer Pizza, and Feast). In the Summer, stop by Reigleman's Orchard just down the road for incredible berries, peaches, nectarines, apples, and pears. We have a very lovely grocery store--Harvest Market-- which is well stocked (plenty of local ingredients and everything else too). Downtown Hood River is about 15 minutes away.
  • Short drive from the Columbia River Gorge, this cabin was exactly what I was looking for. A riverside getaway right on the White Salmon River with literally hundreds of epic hikes within 30 minutes. The cabin is rustic but updated with all the things you need to a great escape. Oma and Lindy are great, with detailed info on local hikes, waterfalls and hidden gems. They are right next door and available for anything you need. Hope to be back soon!

    Ross2020-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hospitality! Oma and Lindy were able to get the cabin ready for us a little early. Oma greeted us with a warm welcome and a little history of the place and the surrounding area. The cabin was clean and cozy. Loved not having a TV and played Yahtzee all night listening to the rain!

    Sarah2020-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so amazing in every way! Cozy, cozy, cozy! Perfect location on the river. Mountain biking, hiking and kayaking paradise! Can’t wait to return.

    Victoria2020-04-20T00:00:00Z

    Louise2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Oma's place is in White Salmon is a gift to anyone needing a place to unwind, recharge, get quiet or just hunker down with a friend or loved one. As we walked around the property to see the beautiful rushing river out back, we saw the deck was beautiful with lights and chairs, table recliners, a grill -everything you'd need to feel at home and cozy. We grilled hamburgers! We drove and then hiked to the waterfall not far from the cabin on oma's recommendation. (Worth it!) We went into white Salmon, about 5 miles away and there's plenty of great restaurants and bars there. Lots to do and see. We slept in, (bed was perfect!) made coffee, played Scrabble, listened to music and continually fed the beautiful wood stove provided there. We even chopped some wood! This is a fantastic, yet unpretentious, cozy little hideaway. Don't miss an opportunity to see this land, feel the warmth of the cozy cabin, and recharge your batteries. Oma- thank you. You are a superb host and an even better person! Grateful, Desiree & Tim

It was very peaceful and there were cards and other games for us to play after we got back from exploring each day. The cabin had everything we needed. Hope to go back soon!!

  • Lovely position and beautiful view right on the river. Peaceful and a great place to get off the grid. WiFi is available and all about the apartment is as described. My husband and I had a lovely time. Great steak place up the road - just expect to wait a while and with that expectation you’ll be fine. Food was worth the wait. Great location to jump in the car and visit the many surrounding and outstanding waterfalls. Highly recommend

  • We really enjoyed our getaway at the Klickitat River Inn. We were thankful our last minute, late night decision to take a spontaneous road trip to southern WA was able to be accommodated. My husband and I love adventuring and getting away so this was the perfect spot and when I messaged Linda about reserving, I was lucky to catch her before she went to bed! She was kind to reply right away instead of pushing it off until the morning :) We are originally from Hawaii but now live in Port Orchard, WA (about 4 hours away) and always enjoy having water nearby. The river was exactly what we needed and the view was amazing! Our unit’s table overlooked the backyard river view and it was a great way to start our morning! We also really enjoyed being able to bonfire and relax by the river even in the winter. We hope to return when the weather gets warmer :) We were happy with Linda’s responsiveness and hospitality. She communicated with us regularly and was always available within reasonable times for minor requests. The unit was very clean, had extra sleeping space which would’ve been perfect if we had friends or brought my step son along too! It was the perfect studio space! We appreciated the full appliances as most BNBs don’t have that so it allowed us to enjoy the space and cool and relax all around. It’s a great place to stay if you don’t mind being “off the grid” for sometime to really just relax and enjoy! Thank you again for having us Linda!

  • Linda and Lindsay's listing was very welcoming and inviting. The back deck/patio area was wonderful to relax on with the river burbling past you. Would definitely recommend as a relaxing getaway spot to enjoy some quiet time.

  • Very nice beautiful calming back entertainment area

    Kristina2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderfully calming outdoor environment without any street noise. The kitchen was more than a kitchenette... I would call it a full kitchen! They even allow recently bathed and flee treated dogs with prior permission and a reasonable pet fee. Me and my little dog were very happy. There is a small, quiet road to a community baseball field equipped with dog-duty stations, which gave us the perfect morning and evening walk experience. And the steak house is good! Straight up comfort food with no butter or sour cream spared in rustic home-town environment... but fantastic flavor. Great quiet weekend getaway with great host Linda, who was prompt with all responses. Will be staying again in the future.

  • We came to Klickitat to fish and loved this spot right on the river. The owners were also kind enough to let us fish on their property down the river. We had our 13 month old with us and loved the Netflix while she napped! The extras in the kitchen like oil and spices were nice also. The hosts were prompt with communication and the check in was super easy.

  • The home is beautiful. We were able to take a dip in the pool, have coffee by the window in the morning with a view of the river. A good escape from home.

  • My Girlfriend and I practiced social distancing this weekend and couldn’t have found a better place to do it. Starting from entering the house, I quickly realized the floors were heated which is a bonus in my book. That mixed with the quaint, somewhat modern décor made for a simply inviting and warm first impression. The indoor heated pool was clean, no overpowering chemical smells. The theater room has a giant TV with great picture quality. All the apps you’d want are downloaded, you just have to sign-in to your own account then set the lighting to your liking and enjoy a comfortable space to binge watch your favorite show. Though we were the only guests this last weekend, the house does accommodate several reservations at a time, and I wouldn’t have minded the extra tenants because there are plenty of bathrooms and lots of space. The room we rented had a large dresser, closet, TV and seriously comfortable mattress. Very accommodating. Britnei was attentive, quick to respond to questions and clearly puts effort into making sure guests are happy and comfortable. We will 100% come back to this house again to enjoy some pretty amazing amenities in what appears to be just a standard house.

**Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations.** Private duplex located 7 miles from downtown White Salmon, on the former golf course, right across the highway from the White Salmon River. Half a mile to rafting rentals, cafe and grill (open end of May through September) and ten minutes to downtown White Salmon. Fully appointed, bright studio above another apartment. Stay in and cook a meal to enjoy on the deck!
This upstairs studio has a spacious, open feel, with views out to the tree tops. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics for cooking, plus coffee and tea. For large groups up of up to 6, consider renting the main floor apartment as well, which sleeps four (listing is https://www.airbnb.com/h/river-rafters-delight-main-floor ). Your backyard deck with BBQ is a beautiful, private place to hang out. (Downstairs unit has a separate patio of their own). With extended stays, the laundry room can be made available to you. We have guidebooks to suggest a myriad of activities in every direction! Husum is a great central location. Although the golf course next door is no longer functioning, you can still take a walk or jog on grounds.
The little community of Husum on the White Salmon River has a few rafting and kayaking establishments if you want to check out the river. Wet Planet also has a grill open from May to October (hours vary seasonally) and an espresso bar with gift shop that opens most mornings at 8 if you want to pick up a muffin. We are also only 1.5 miles from the beautiful Tin Roof Barn wedding venue. Continuing up the highway, through forests and pasture land, is BZ Corner with a mini market and The Logs Restaurant. Conboy Nature Preserve is a few miles further on, a place to see elk and birds. Of course, heading back down river is the town of White Salmon with everything you need and want: groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, shops, library, hospital. And Hood River is right across the toll bridge. Check out their waterfront park!

Um, hello Columbia Gorge! There’s a few spots to eat in Lyle but really, you’re coming for the outdoors, the wineries, the relaxation and views!
  • We live relatively close by but wanted a 2 day family getaway and by appearances this one fit the bill. Photos and description here are very accurate. I could see from the pictures and previous reviews that the view is excellent, but even then it exceeded my expectation. The full wrap around deck is perfect for outdoor dining or relaxing, and you really can see full panoramic East/West view of the gorge, right in a very cool segment. It's apparent that the owners maximized the indoor view too, especially the West facing window. It's a view that would never cease to amaze. Laurel and Philip communicate exceptionally well, and the place was clean and well outfitted. We used the grill both nights. The kitchen is really well outfitted with the things you need. Master bedroom has a ceiling fan, but each room had a fan in the closet... something we really appreciated. There were a couple really nice treats for us when we arrived, in this case a few beers, seltzers, and sweets. The house has strong internet also. This is a really special house to me because it so intimately features the gorge itself. Our stay was just what we wanted, and I would go again any time. We were in the Spring, which was insanely beautiful, but I think this place would appeal any season. Thank you Laurel and Philip!

House was clean, well stock, complimentary beverages in frig were greatly appreciated. We had everything we needed. Beds and amenities were perfect. Great hikes within walking distance from house. We brought our own speaker and coffee grinder, which were needed, just as reference. Everything was fantastic! Thank you for a wonderful retreat. Hope to return one day.

Twin Oaks is an updated doublewide home perched on a basalt knoll with 11 beautiful acres overlooking vineyards and the Columbia River. Views include river and gorge to the west and north. In springtime see waterfalls on the Washington cliffs. Located 8 miles east of Hood River, Twin Oaks is near Mosier on scenic Hwy 30. This is in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, with nearby hiking, biking, watersports, boat ramp, & ski areas. Enjoy the numerous wineries and local microbrews in the area.
Twin Oaks house is 1800 square feet, one-level, 3 bedroom, 2 bath. This is an 80's doublewide; but don't worry, shag carpet is gone and the wallpaper is painted over. We are gradually updating and improving it, and it's a very clean and comfortable space now. Let's call it an artsy cabin ambiance with touch of Ikea.
The setting is oak and pine prairie and meadow with basalt outcroppings. The landscape is natural, and we regularly see deer, turkey, coyote, redtail hawk, osprey vulture, bald eagle, and golden eagle. The bird feeders attract red and yellow finch, nuthatch, towhee, chickadee, western bluebird, redwing blackbird, western tanager, sparrow, and junco. Enjoy wildflowers April-May. Two nearby hikes provide more opportunities to connect to nature. Two wineries with tasting rooms are within walking distance.
  • Fantastic location with view of the gorge. Far from anyone else. House is stocked with everything you need, and then some. Was a great stay.

This house is perched above the Columbia River and is only a short drive from a popular put in for wind surfers. The view here is amazing! It's very secluded but is only three miles from town. The apartment has granite counter tops and beautiful cabinets, new carpets. Situated as a walk out basement apartment, it has it's own deck and yard. In winter there is a chance for snow. Some years we get a lot of snow. It is a good idea to use a four wheel drive if available only needed in the winter.
There is probably no better view of the Columbia River than here. The house is about 1100 feet above the river and the town of Mosier which gives great views of everything below. The rental space is comfortable and quiet.
It’s very quiet and very beautiful up here.
  • This is a wonderful spot high on the mountain in the oaks with a wildflower meadow: no neighbors to be seen. Truly lovely! The inside is so very cozy with nice touches! It's spacious, modern, super clean, great tech (ROKU in two rooms which worked!, great easy WIFI) and a view down to the river overlooking the town of Mosier. It is a basement apartment, which requires entering through the garage, but it doesn't feel cramped in any way. And though we knew the Patrick and his wife were upstairs, we never heard or saw them after our arrival. In general, the whole experience was even nicer than anticipated. Thanks for sharing a very special Gorge-geous scene.

  • Love this place! Gorgeous view, comfy clean home and sweet people. Definitely will stay again.

    Cameo2020-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for a secluded get away, but not too far from things to do. There are hiking/biking trails very close We saw turkey each morning and night, and deer one day. The sun rise & set is beautiful from the living room or deck. Patrick & Brenda we very nice and quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely recommend staying here.

    Filina2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • We could not be happier with our stay, the place was even nicer than shown in the photos. Having brand new carpets and leather couches was very nice for our asthmatic toddler who has dust mite allergies. Patrick and his wife were such great hosts, very hospitable and welcoming. Often we felt like we were visiting our family and not just renting an airbnb. Their guest unit had everything we needed and if there is anything we were missing they were able to provide. Very nice view of the river from the couch in the living room. Having Smart TV with Blueray player was very nice too, since we had to spend more time indoors than usually. Their house is located in such a remote and peaceful area, it was a very nice break from the city. We got to see wild turkeys trotting through the back yard and deer came by a few times. Even though most state parks and trails were closed due to Covid-19 situation we were able to find places to hike and bike and barely saw anyone around. Gorgeous area, great hosts and an a very comfortable place to stay. Hope to be back one winter when mountains are open and snow is on the ground.

Located along a year-round creek, within walking distance of downtown, restaurants, and shopping, but feels like out in the country. Private entrance, well-equipped kitchen, large family room, bedroom (queen bed), bathroom w/shower, and cozy patio.
This apartment is the daylight basement of our home. It has a private entrance and is private from the rest of our home. It's large and roomy, and we've furnished it with comfortable country charm. Wood and tile floors throughout, except in the bedroom which is newly carpeted. The kitchen is equipped with dishes, cookware, several small appliances, cook top, microwave/convection oven, a refrigerator, and a few staples for cooking. There is no dishwasher, but paper plates can be used if you'd rather not wash dishes. The bedroom is large, and the queen bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is small, but functional, and you don't have to share it with anyone! The family room is large but cozy, and is equipped with a large-screen smart TV, with cable. Wi-fi is available. The futon sofa in the family room easily makes up into a full sized bed. There is also a queen-sized air mattress available. The yard is large and well-maintained, and the apartment has a brick patio from which to enjoy the scenery and the wildlife.
We do live near other homes, but the back of our property opens onto a very private setting, with lots of trees and wildlife, including bald eagles and many other birds, deer, raccoons, squirrels, and even the occasional fox.
  • Super friendly and clean. A very relaxing place to stay!

NOTE: Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. Great Staycation space
Top floor with large "Great" room has breathtaking views and large master bedroom ensuite/queen bed with deck off the master bedroom. Rustic elegance: Private, Quiet, Peaceful, Welcoming and still close to everything in The Gorge: Oregon and Washington sides of the Columbia River.
House is on a small street with only 4 houses on it. Our place is at the end on a hill, so especially quiet. The community is very friendly/kind actually. We are close to a park a mile up the mountain. There are always great activities in town and there is so much to see, learn about in this historic little town.
  • Excellent all around, gracious host, loving dog, immaculate and large private space, great views, you name it! I would highly recommend a stay here. Billie is very accommodating and has added many fine details to the whole experience, including guides, maps, and books. The park at the top of the hill makes for a great walk. Thanks for the great stay!

  • At Billie’s place you will find peace and respite from your busy life. Staying at The Eagle’s Nest you will forget about all your worries, and want to just snuggle up with a good book near the windows for gorgeous views of Mt. Adams. Her hospitality is top notch, and she makes it clear that her home is everybody’s home in the way she goes out of your way to make you feel comfortable. Even though we shared a space, we felt like we were in our own little cabin until we came down to interact. Billie has a vast knowledge of a lot of things, but especially the area’s history. We enjoyed our evening conversations with her. If you choose to stay at The Eagle’s Nest you will definitely not be disappointed until you have to leave.

  • Great spot to have a relaxing getaway. Very cozy accommodations. Billie is a very kind and knowledgeable host.

    Sarah & Jordan2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Above and beyond my wildest expectations. Billie is a truly amazing individual, and the space that she so hospitably shares is quite the treasure. The Eagle’s Den is the most intentionally immaculate and coziest stay that I’ve encountered. I’d argue that you are getting more than your money’s worth for a couple nights of respite here. Don’t hesitate on this one!!

    Kenneth2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a relaxing three day weekend in this super-cozy little nest. Billie was a kind and generous host, and the house was perfect for us!

    Benji2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Billie offers an amazing home with great views! It was our best air bnb experience

    Sheri2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Eagle’s Nest was exactly what was needed with lots of space very clean. The Dalles is a cool place and Billie was happy to share her knowledge of the area with you and will even cook for you :) Don’t hesitate to stay here. Will definitely be back.

    John2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic space to relax. Clean, and private. Just outside of town with a view of Mt Adams. Billie is a beautiful person and a wonderful host. We will be staying here again.

The Bath House is a SAFE HAVEN, and will be completely disinfected, from top to bottom. After each guest, we will block the next day, giving you a retreat in the woods that has not had a person there for at least 36 hours!!! " The Bathhouse is NOT a yurt, but a themed tiny house. This is by FAR the most desirable location on the property. The view of Mt. Adams is right out the front door. This tiny house has an outdoor shower and 2 baths. Take a soak, and enjoy the incredible Mountain View.
CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE: * Family Getaway - Very quiet outdoor experience, with a lot of things for the family to do.... Butted up right next to miles of wilderness..While the Bathhouse itself is in a beautiful wooded setting, town is only 20 minutes away for antique shopping, dining, etc. * Hunting - Everyone knows this is one of the best hunting units in Washington. (deer, bear, turkeys, elk.) No more setting up camp and freezing, just bring your clothes, food, buddies, and basic gear. (GUIDED HUNTS are available upon request. We have stands that are meticulously maintained and baited with recent pictures to share at all times.) * Awesome Extras - *** Electric Mountain Bikes available upon request at an additional price. If you've never experienced, I promise a smile will be left on your face. Use just for pure pleasure, or to HUNT the thousands of acres this property borders. ***Kayaks are also available upon request at no additional cost, There are 2 good bass lakes in close proximity or just for fun for the whole family.
  • The Bath Haus is an AirBnB like no other. We absolutely loved our stay. The views of Mt Adams on a clear day were absolutely breath taking. We would definitely recommend taking advantage of the bath tubs and electric mountain bikes. Both with make your stay one to remember. One thing to note is that the site is on top of a hill and it can get pretty windy! We would definitely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a camping like adventure with awesome amenities.

  • I loved this place so much! Amazing hospitality, peaceful, clean. My family enjoyed it so much we have already planned two more trips!

  • We love the place and will be back

    Dale2020-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a charmer! Loved this unique stay, from the adorable re-imagined horse trailer, to the outdoor baths, to the acres and acres of woodland to explore. Chris and Shelley were outstanding hosts, just incredibly warm and friendly. They were so welcoming and patient, and didn't let our lack of familiarity with propane tanks keep us from enjoying everything they had to offer, haha. We loved trekking through the woods with our two dogs; coffee has never tasted so good as when we drank it by the outdoor fire pit while enjoying a spectacular view of Mt. Adams; and the aforementioned outdoor baths were an amazing place to enjoy the stars and nearby frogsong. We would love to return again.

    Inness2020-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • I didn’t get to go to this lovey Airbnb due to Covid-19 but Christopher was very kind and responded quickly! I look forward to visiting in the future!!!

    Emily2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Christopher and Shelley’s beautiful property is glamping at its finest: plenty of cozy touches and comforts of home while still celebrating what’s best about getting out into the woods. My partner and I came for our fifth anniversary and enjoyed stunning views of Mt. Adams, watched a group of deer wander right through the site, and befriended their adorable pups, Chevy and Muchacha. The soaking tubs were amazing — I watched a shooting star overhead while soaking in toasty water on an otherwise freezing night. Definitely try the mountain bikes. They are a blast. Christopher and Shelley were accessible at all times and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Thank you so much for a wonderful time and we’ll be back to visit soon.

    Kaitlin2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time here. Christopher and Shelley are extremely friendly and so are their dogs! It was very comfortable and among the most interesting interiors that I have seen.

    Tarunay2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in the converted horse trailer. Fun and funky! Other guests have given good, detailed descriptions of the space/property so I won’t go into details. Cozy and rustic and comfortable. I’m inspired to try a horse trailer conversion myself some day. The view of Mt Adams is great and there are loads of trails accessible right from the property. Taking out one of the electric bikes was a hoot and a great way to get out and explore. Enjoyed a soak in the outdoor bathtubs. Very relaxing. I enjoy unique spaces and going the ‘glamping’ route whenever I get the chance and this was just perfect. My dog loved being there and exploring the trails with me. Chris and Shelly were amazing hosts. So generous and helpful. I would stay here again.

Experience the Tiny Home life (without getting rid of your stuff!) Blue #20 is light and airy. It is 8'x22' with queen-sized loft bedroom. Access to loft is via a staircase with lots of storage. The main floor has a sofa bed, kitchen with cooking supplies, and a fridge/freezer. Also has a bathroom with shower, sink, & flushing toilet. Stay one day or many weeks. Perfect place for launching into the Gorge for wineries, weddings, windsports, or visiting friends.
Blue #20 is parked on our property about 20' from our outdoor grilling area and overlooking our trail down to Big Buck Creek. You can see our home, but you most likely won't see us unless we are mowing or grilling. You will have privacy, but you will not be "living off the grid" in isolation. Also, it has a flushable toilet (no composting, no smell!).
We live on an acreage and are surrounded by lumber and government owned property. It is a quiet area. You will see stars in the sky and occasional wildlife.
  • This place is so cute! Very cozy and very clean! Perfect for adventures outdoors and/or a weekend stay! Has everything you need inside! I would definitely stay again!

  • Peaceful, private tiny house on a quiet property in beautiful White Salmon. Masterfully finished to allow for a comfortable bed and couch, with plenty of room for a bathroom and kitchen. Thoughtful touches I appreciated were toiletries provided in the bathroom, some mint tea available, the excellent local recommendations, and little mints left on the bed. We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to meet Lisa but she was very kind and responsive in her messaging, and provided very helpful directions to the property. We’ll absolutely be back!

  • If you want a magical, cozy, get away, this yurt is it! We spent Christmas here and were even treated to a brief snowfall. The vineyard yurt is quiet and very private. I recommend that you take the small walk to the vineyard. The views are worth it!

  • Great place for anyone looking to stay outside the city.

    Pete2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jocelyn's place was such a beautiful and cozy place to retreat to The well/spring water that comes out of the tap tastes, and feels so clean. It was a wonderful surprise to arrive to, and the gas stove worked great! The yurt stays plenty toasty when it's cold out, and since it rained while we were there, the sound of the rain on the yurt was incredibly soothing, and the mists through the mountain ridges were breathtaking to observe, as was the sunrise. The bed and futon are mighty comfy, as are the soft blankets, and towels. There are great magazines to flip through, and a very thorough book about the waterfalls and hikes in the area, is available as well. All around the space has a lovely layout and feel, is clean, with a very kind host, and it was just what we needed.

  • The house has amenities you’d never expect to find, the pool and theater-too cool. Not only that but the host Britnei is very welcoming and accommodating. I’ve stayed here solo and with other guests, every time has been better than the next. Recommend 10/10.

  • This place was perfect for being in and out on hikes and what not. And it was dog friendly which was nice!

    Dezmon2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • I used to stay in this house while doing contract work in town, was an Airbnb back then but with a different owner. Plenty of the other guests back then were there for business, too, and it seems like this would still be a great location for responsibly minded working people. So, it was very nice to return for a night as I was passing through town on a pleasure trip. I enjoyed my stay. It’s a very nice, big, clean home, comfortable and very quiet. The main metric for me is how I sleep, and I slept fine. Bathrooms are number two and the one I used was very clean. Kitchen is available as are a washer/dryer. Owners do not live on site but communication was seamless. Definitely recommend, esp for extended stays for people working at the hospital and such.

  • We had a great time, the place was wonderful. Kathryn and her family are fantastic people. I will recommend the place over and over again to all that care to listen. Also Shane makes some kicking Thai food, make sure you head over to his food truck, we got a dish big enough for both of us for like eight bucks!

Nestled among tall trees situated in the crook of Big Buck Creek and the wild & scenic White Salmon River; Spirit Lodge is just what you’ve been longing for. A soothing environment, inside and out. You’ll see a waterfall across the way, and have access to a wooden bench swing over the river. If you are planning an event or reunion, be sure and check out the Ravens’ Nest as well. Between the two there are accommodations for up to 10 people in the same convenient location. Lots of parking
Come to glorious White Salmon River, and take some quality time to retreat in our beloved Spirit Lodge. Ice cold Big Buck Creek from the nearby melting glaciers of Mt. Adams joins the White Salmon River right here in this cul de sac of three cabins. The Spirit Lodge, The Ravens' Nest and our personal cabin where we live full time. May we suggest you look up the Ravens’ Nest, if you want friends and family to join you in this sacred place. That unit overlooks the river directly. The Ravens’ Nest has a separate bedroom, a conventional toilet, and a regular range, in a newly appointed kitchen. We can accommodate six people there. We also encourage people with children and dogs to book the Ravens Nest. We’d like to hear about your particular dog, only because some dogs are too big or boisterous for these small cabins. We encourage all respectful guests to bring their beloved pet, but we do ask that you leave us $10.00 cash per night for your dog. Here at the Spirit Lodge we offer visitors a brand new “American Leather” Comfort Queen size Sofa Bed that gets rave reviews. We can have it pulled out and made as a bed before you arrive, or you can easily pull it out at your convenience. There's an upper loft with ladder to a double bed, great for the kids or the kids at heart :). We’ve had wonderful reviews, and in honor of the feedback we’ve gotten, we’ve made a few upgrades. This cozy abode now has a new Vermont Casting wood stove that is much more efficient than the oversized cast iron box stove we had last year. People seem to like to prepare food in the kitchen, so we have added a new quick response infrared cooktop unit, and more and better pots and pans. Please make note, the Spirit Lodge has a nicely designed composting toilet. When used correctly it is very clean and has no smell. We ask guests to read the Spirit Lodge Manual. In it are instructions on how to use the composting toilet correctly. We have plenty of parking, a shaded porch and a gas barbeque. You can hear the sound of the creek and the river from inside the Lodge (with the large windows open), and within a few seconds walk you can see it. We provide wireless wifi and cell coverage for our guests. Our user name is worldwind and the password is peace999. Thank you one and all!
It is in a delightful location, a short walk from the kayak and raft take out @ Northwestern Park.

  • We had a really nice two-night stay in one of Oma’s cabins! Clean, welcoming, warm, quiet and super sweet hosts! We were provided firewood for our heat (which we forgot to replace, our apologies) and candles and plenty of comfort! A great book is in the kitchen that is chock-full of things to do in the area. Thank you both!

  • The perfect woodsy retreat. The cabin was cozy and charming with warm welcoming hosts who keep the place super clean and organized. Will definitely come back again.

  • Outstanding stay at Oma’s place. The Spirit Lodge is a super cozy cabin perfect for a getaway to disconnect from technology and connect to each other! My husband and I had a very relaxing time playing games, taking naps, visiting and going into Hood River a few times. If you go make sure to get the full tour from the incredible hosts and learn the full history of the property. We slept on the pull out which was comfortable but I would suggest bringing a foam pad, a tad hard for me, but that’s just my personal preference. We will be back many times!

  • Great location. Wonderful touches. Oma had a fire going for us when we arrived. She was friendly and gave us privacy and space to enjoy ourselves.
