The house is a typical mountain house with two floors (one with kitchen and the other with bedroom/bathroom). The views are incredible and it's very quiet and paceful. It's a wonderful place to visit the Parque de Ordesa and do some hiking, skiing, snowshoes or adventure sports. I'll just mention that the house may not be for everyone: the two floors are not connected so you have to go outside every time and also the beds are the typical bunkbeds that you would find in a mountain hut, as the photos show. For us it was a great experience and we would definitely come back there :)

Despite small logistical problems on arrival (that Patrick has done everything to resolve as soon as possible) everything went very well in this little haven of peace, closer to nature. The sheepfold is perfectly located, consistent with the description and starting beautiful walks .....

A place out of the ordinary for a moment out of the ordinary.

THIS is why I come to Airbnb to book accommodation. Surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Spanish Pyrenees, making a warming fire in a simple stone alcove and watching the Milky Way high above, life is good. Thank you, Patrick, for making my road trip truly special.

Very rustic stay, and if you enjoy this, you will love this rustic cottage! So much wonderful family history here from Patrick’s family and the surrounding neighbors. Absolutely breathtaking views directly from the cottage. Many maps provided (although in French language only) but others can be found at the nearby national park. We thoroughly enjoyed playing cards by the fire and staring up at the marvelous sky full of stars! Perfectly located for enjoying all the National Park has to offer, and some of the most stunning hikes we’ve done!

A great place to stay close to Parque Ordesa and Monte Perdido. The Bergerie has all the necessities to relax in a great mountain scenery and to use as a base for visiting the park and the surroundings.

Very good shared accommodation at the foot of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park. Very clean room and facilities, hospitality and local recommendations by the hostesses. In summary very good experience and homemade breakfast totally recommended.

The accommodation is simple but has everything you need to have a great stay. The bathrooms, despite being shared, were always very clean. The very complete breakfast for the price it has. María Carmen was very friendly and always willing to recommend places to visit and go hiking. 100% recommended accommodation!

Beautiful rural house located in the small village of Fragen. We felt very well looked after, clean room and something small. Perfect to spend a few days near the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido.

Broto is such a nice, quiet little medieval village to stay in, right near the mountains and beautiful valley hikes! Inma's accommodations were very cozy, right along the river. There is no kitchen available, however, so just be prepared for that in case you were planning to make your own food. Would definitely recommend this place for a short stay while exploring the trails here!

A warm welcome. A small house very beautiful and fully functional. The village is superb. In one week we were able to make a good break from our daily lives. Everything is calm. Relaxing. The view of the village on the surrounding mountains is breathtaking. I recommend this rental for all lovers of nature and tranquility.

Nice house in a small village in a beautiful walking area. There are no facilities in the village itself; for shopping, refueling, etc. about 20 km away. Cottage is fully furnished with basic facilities for self-catering. Everything is very clean. Outside is a nice shaded terrace. Paulette is a good hostess: she gives many (hiking) tips and there are many hiking maps / routes in the house. Super location!

Casita de la Belga in the picturesque mini village of Belsué is highly recommended for those looking for peace and nature. The cottage is in tip-top condition, equipped with every comfort, the view is exceptional and the locals very friendly. Super sympathetic Paulette welcomed us with delicious melon, and overwhelmed us with tips for the many walks in this beautiful region. Paulette, thank you for this unforgettable holiday in the Pyrenees. Finally, a tip, as mentioned in previous reviews, it is really necessary to bring provisions for several days, because Belsué is located really in-the-middle-of-nowhere ;-).

Our time in Bestué was wonderful. It is very quiet in the small village and the neighbors of Paulette are very nice. Paulette is helpful and is available to answer questions. There are many cats in the village, but avoid pats and nothing comes into the house. The house of Paulette corresponded exactly to your information and we felt very comfortable. In addition, we were allowed to use existing spices. In front of the windows and the front door there are mosquito nets. In front of the former school, just a few meters away, there is also public WLAN. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet holiday with plenty of walking opportunities in the area.

We have traveled a lot and rarely stayed in such a special place! The house of Paulette is located in a small authentic village with about 30 houses, of which about half is still permanently inhabited. Time seems to stand in Bestue. It is an oasis of peace. Paulette rents the very practical and completely furnished house for a few weeks in high season. She lives here herself for the rest of the time. It is a very attractive and lovingly decorated house. It is small but very comfortable (we stayed with 2 people) house in the middle of the village. The formula that everyday food such as coffee, oil and soap is standard, and you replace the stuff you consume, is sympathetic. From the terrace you look between the houses to the mountains around. More than 40 cats live in the village (and Bestue has around 15 inhabitants!). You meet that and you have to take that into account. Paulette asked us not to feed the cats and we did not do that either. The cats quickly passed through so we were left alone by the animals. We made every evening a short walk through the village (and I advise everyone to do that) to enjoy the spectacular view around Bestue. The threshing inhabitants meet on the warm summer evenings on the village square. You can make some nice walks (GR 15) from the village. Other routes can be reached after a short car ride. It is about a ½ hour drive to the valley. I advise everyone at the check-in to bring enough messages so you can be especially in Bestue!

The charm of a very small village house nicely furnished, with all you need for a great stay in this beautiful mountain. Village very calm and authentic. Great silence at night (apart from the few stray cats currently). Not really seen but it is a few steps. Beautiful walks in the immediate vicinity. And Paulette's welcome is perfect.

We are very well received in this small but very nice and comfortable accommodation where everything is well thought out. The situation is exceptional, but plan not to go shopping every day so you do not have to do too much mountain road. Hundreds of ballads are accessible, baths in the canyons. Special mention for guides and maps available on site.

The apartment is very complete and clean ... We could only stay one day because we were passing through. Even so, it gave us time to get to know a little about the town and the nearby Ordesa y Monte Perdido national park. Thanks to the good indications of Eva, who was very generous leaving us a very complete breakfast. Totally recommendable.

It was perfect! Torla was a great town and we were taking care of so well. The breakfasts were great, the views were stunning, it was magical.

Casa Lordán a beautiful building with spacious, clean rooms situated at the end of a wonderfully quaint village with phenomenal views of idyllic countryside. Manuel and Elena were very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and hiking route tips within the Ordesa National Park which is a short drive or bus journey away. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere delightful to stay in this area.

The place and the views are spectacular. I went on a few hikes that were beautiful. I would definitely stay here again, but would take a car or plan better. Public transportation is very limited. Check before you book and you could plan around it. Everyone was very friendly - met a "local" who was my informal guide one fun day.

A very cozy corner in Ordesa, well located for routes such as Cola de Caballo. Lovely, attentive and helpful hosts; We arrived at dinner time and Chus's husband called a restaurant in the area to see if they were open. The breakfast is all homemade and spectacular, jams, cheese, empanada, cold meats, croissant, quince, juice, coffee, toast, cake ... and lots of other things. I wish more accommodations like that. A 10 without a doubt.

One of those times when you have to put 5 stars in EVERYTHING. Lovely, attentive and friendly hosts. The unbeatable place. Do not miss the breakfast that kindly serves Maria Jesus! I wish I could put you a picture !! All very careful to detail. Very cozy and very beautiful.

Ismael’s place blew our minds! But seriously, book for a super homey & cute place, complete with all you need for a short excursion. We whipped up a serious home-cooked meal (much needed after many touristing days) & especially enjoyed his soft fluffy sheets. Encarna, who helped us with check-in & lives on the first floor is so sweet and is the grandmother everyone wishes they had. Don’t miss out on the horse by the creek across the bridge (during low season, at least) or La Tea’s pizza! What are you doing still reading?! Book now!

Marta's place was beautiful. The town was amazing with lots of great restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. We were there for a few days of hiking in the national park, the hikes were beautiful and there was a lot of variety. After the hikes we would come back and sit on the huge patio in the back and look onto the fall colors in the mountains. This was one of my favorite airbnbs I've ever stayed in. Marta was a kind host, she was very forgiving when we were very late to check in because we got lost. Thanks again Marta!

Casa Zapatierno is in an outstanding location. The surrounding mountains are so close you can almost touch them. The accommodation is very comfortable with all the Spanish touches that one would expect. The wood fire and central heating kept us warm and cosy. Communication with Carmen was prompt and she was able to provide information (in English) for touring the surrounding area....the Spanish Pyrenees are just beautiful and Casa Zapatierno comes highly recommended.

This was a great apartment to stay at. Nice amenities with a washer/dryer and wifi! Ismael had very clear check-in and check-out instructions and good local information.

We loved our stay at Ismael’s place. It’s centrally located in Broto. The apartment was very clean with the necessary amenities. It’s a short walk from the apartment to the local bars and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed a beautiful meal at a restaurant called Restaurante las Endrinas. The local super market in town had everything you might need. We also recommend going to the information center in Torla, as they will provide guidance on day walks in the Ordesa national park, which was a highlight for us.

It's just what I needed. Tranquility. And very close to Ordesa Valley Very clean and Doña Encarna .... always attentive. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay in Ismael's apartment. The flat was exactly as described. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and having a bakery nearby was great (because everything was so delicious) and a bit of a problem (because everything was so delicious!). We felt very welcome and enjoyed chatting with our hosts. Broto is very near to the park in Ordesa and it was great to have a comfortable place to come back and collapse after a day of walking. The only comment I'd make is that the shower could be difficult for someone tall, but we aren't, so it was fine for us. Thanks, Ismael, for a wonderful stay!

Stayed 3 nights. The apartment is a basic studio, located in a very convenient area in Gavarnie, a good base for hiking in Gavarnie. The kitchen is pretty complete. But do bear in mind that the apartment is very basic, all depending on what was left behind by the previous tenant. The only grocery stall is nearby to get your toilet papers, tissues, salt, oil etc, but beware of opening times - when we checked in at 5pm on a Wednesday, the grocery stall was closed. Gabriel was very responsive to all questions I had, it was great communicating with him via the phone although we never met. The Madam who takes care of the apartment was friendly although she only speaks French. All in all, a nice clean place to stay for few days in Gavarnie.

We stayed at Casa Castillo for 6 days at the end of September and spend some relaxing and peacefull days in Puyarruego with its stunning view. From on our first day we felt like home. Waking up in the morning with just hearing the bells of the sheeps and seeing the sun rise made it a most peacefull place! The house is beautifully furnished and very comfortable! The weather was great (warmer than usual at this time), so we could swim in the river after hiking in the mountains! The hiking routes of the national park and the Cañón are amazingly beautiful! One should not miss that. Montse and Jesús are most charming and concerning hosts! We were very pleased to meet them! We can say that we would certainly consider staying here again! We can highly recommend this place!

A very nice house with cozy rooms. The views from the room are beautiful and could not be better located if you want to visit Ordesa. On the ground floor there is a kitchen where you can prepare snacks. Which comes in handy if you're going on an excursion.

We really loved the stay :) The room was cute and equipped with a TV. It was en suite with towels included and Inma would clean the room daily. Inma herself was a super friendly host, she's very chatty and also speaks a bit of english :) On the last day she even gave us two large pieces of home made cake, which was a delight! We really hope to come stay here again!

Everything works perfectly. We even had the right to some homemade pancakes prepared by Marie Andrée. Amazing experience that I recommend to everyone.

Very practical accommodation located in the center of the village of Gavarnie: restaurants, mini-market and hiking departures at your door step. 15 minutes by car from the ski resort. Very friendly and helpful owner, who gave us precious advice for winter walks, and even lent us snowshoes to discover the mountain. Strongly recommended !

Staying at Janine’s gite will give you the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the area, the hospitality of Patrick and Janine, the friendliness of strangers and being in great proximity to fabulous day or multi day hiking. The gite provides everything if you want to cook or 1 minute walk to great eateries. Garvarnie is an active place and one gets to enjoy the activity sitting on the window sill while enjoying a view of the Cirque or strolling around listening to the happy visitors.

Great location, and so well equipped for self catering and being comfortable before and after all the beautiful hikes. Janine is so welcoming! Decent kitchen, living space, bedroom with comfy bed and blankets available (it was cool in the evening). All very quick to clean after. Hosts clearly know the area well and the view out to the cirque is fabulous!

Housing very well located, quiet with a pleasant view of the circus Gavarnie. The free parking thanks to Janine facilitates this location in the heart of the village (forbidden otherwise to cars), and directly overlooking some hiking trails. Janine is working to renovate this apartment gradually for greater aesthetic comfort. With her husband Patrick, they were very caring throughout our stay, thank you! We hope to come back to discover more Pyrenean wonders.

Nice and helpful owner, giving good advice. The comfort of the cottage is rustic, but it is enough to sleep and eat. The latter will be renovated, as informed Janine when we left.

Small apartment with kitchen, oven, microwave and all the necessary kitchen utensils for a perfect stay. The highlight of this is the fantastic location at the foot of the Gavarnie circus, a beautiful place. I would repeat without a doubt.
