If you're planning your next vacation in Maine, then look no further, this is the place to rent! Firstly, the Nest is absolutely stunning both inside and out. The grounds, drive, and outdoor sitting area are both beautiful and serene. Once you get inside, the beauty continues. The house is well decorated with a lovely, rustic, farmhouse meets coastal chic vibe. There is everything and anything that you could possibly need available to you during your stay, from toiletries to cutlery. But, the best part about The Nest is it's owners. Brittany is far and away one of the nicest people I've ever had the privilege to meet. She is genuinely a warm, caring person who will do all she can to ensure that your stay at The Nest is as perfect as is memorable. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for the perfect place to stay while in Maine!

This was our second time staying at The Nest. We love taking advantage of the amenities that The Nest have to offer, such as the grille and fire pit, but this time around we stumbled in upon a Fall Beer Festival at nearby Oxbow Brewing that had us rethinking our plans! The whole weekend was peppered with serendipitous surprises like this. And Brittney is not only a fabulous host, but a generous and lovely human that we now consider our friend. Can’t recommend this place enough! Magic WILL happen at your stay here.

If you are looking for peace & quit in beautiful surroundings venture no further! Our stay at The Nest was our best AirBnB experience yet. Close to everything that Mid-coast Maine has to offer yet completely away from the tourist hustle & bustle. Brittney & John have probably ruined us for future AirBnB experiences as this one will be near impossible to top. Every Detail was perfect! Thanx again for everything Brittney & John!!!

What an exceptional find. Everything was perfect, down to the last little detail. Whether it was having lunch outside on the picnic table by the garden, relaxing in the Adirondack chairs by the pond , or curling up on the porch reading a book, everywhere you looked, the comfort of home were all around. All the furnishings, appliances and bedding, towels, etc were more than expected. Very high quality experience. Master and guest showers were amazing. Did not get to try out the tub , but looked very inviting as well. Plenty of space for 2 adults and a young one to stay. We used the guests room as a closet, since it was just the two of us.

Me and my fiancé loved everything about The Nest! It was really clean, comfy and had everything we needed as if it was our own house like a washer/dryer + detergent, extra blankets, cooking utensils, and even extra luxuries like makeup sponges/wipes, loofas, bath salts, bluetooth speakers and essential oil diffusers (not to mention a mattress that we're definitely buying for our own home). Unlike a hotel, you could go there with out worrying about forgetting anything, because you could find it somewhere in the cottage. The property is nice and secluded but still not too far from town with restaurants and shops. It was our first time using Airbnb and we were not disappointed! We will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for a relaxing and stylish space in Midcoast Maine then look no further! This house is truly one of a kind and has spectacular amenities. From the great communication, to the hand written card and bottle of Prosecco left upon arrival, no stone was left unturned. The home is spotless and is straight out of a magazine. The master bed is the comfiest yet and the bath is like no other I’ve experienced. The kids space is perfect, porch is relaxing with a great view and the veggie garden such a nice touch for cooking. The proximity to restaurants and shopping while still being away from it all is just right. We’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s and they’ve all been great, but this one is a true gem. I highly recommend the cottage and we’ll surely be back! A+++

Great getaway for a weekend with friends. Loved the outdoor space and proximity to the river: truly unbeatable views. Only thing to note is that there aren’t any doors on the bedrooms.

Our stay at Ashley’s cabin was a lovely experience for me, my husband and dog! The secluded and serene location was perfect for a nice relaxing getaway. The river fulfilled all my husbands fishing goals for our trip. The one and only thing I would change about the cabin is the view from the deck of the river is a little obstructed with shrubbery. It would really open up the view if it was cleared out a bit. Ashley was accommodating and checked in to make sure our trip was going well, she even checked to make sure we were ok after a big storm! I would love to stay here again in the future!

A cute cabin next to the Kennebec River. If you are looking for a place to disconnect from electronics yet be close to sites and restaurants, this is the place to be. The view of the river in the morning on the deck or in the evening by the fire pit are picturesque!!

A magical spot! The location is beautiful, and the cabin is cozy. We did have problems with heat & hot water (due to electric utility work--not under the control of our hosts), but our hosts responded very quickly. If you can tolerate a few quirks with the building and are not afraid of lighting an old gas range, it's a lovely place to spend some quiet days, watching the geese, marvelling at the leaves turning almost before your eyes, taking advantage of the cozy but well-equipped kitchen, and perusing the amply-stocked bookshelves.

Ashley’s cabin was THE picturesque Maine experience! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience all Maine has to offer in the coziest setting!

Well worth the $ and would likely return. No frills and no TV or wifi etc. Just a wonderful place to escape the world and get back to nature. Total seclusion and wonderful place if traveling with a pet. My dog loved the river and huge property to run and play. Would definately recommend this cabin and Ashley was a great host.

Our stay at the Sacred River Cabin was excellent. It’s a huge amount of incredibly private space - excellent for relaxation and fun on the water. Can’t say enough good things about this place, our dogs wish they could stay forever.

The location is superb, quiet and secluded along a river. The cabin is rustic and comfortable with a great grill and deck, the bed on the closed in porch is lovely. We had a great time visiting with our dog. Ashley was easy to communicate with, we’d definitely go again.

Margaret is the perfect hostess. Her quiet house in a beautiful setting in the Maine woods is cozy, sparkling clean, full of light and thoughtfully appointed. I will go there again in a heartbeat.

Jefferson is a charming town and the drive to Margaret's place includes breathtaking views of Damariscotta Lake. You drive up, along Rte. 213, to the top of Bunker Hill and the town's historic buildings, then down about a mile or so to Margaret's place, an early-1800s Cape. Margaret is charming and gracious, a perfect host who provides a wonderful breakfast...starting with the smell of bacon cooked on a wood stove. Genevieve F.

I stopped in for a single night while in the area for work and found the flat warm, tidy, and comfortable with a bowl of chocolates out on the table. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable and I slept like a rock the whole night. Hope and Jeremy were really lovely, accommodating, and gracious hosts, and I especially loved that they were thoughtful enough to give me suggestions of things to do and see tailored to my interests like Pemaquid lighthouse, Dodge Nature Preserve trails, and Fort Edgecomb — I’m only sorry I didn’t have more time!

Hope and Jeremy were very accommodating when it came to some changes in our travel plans. I appreciated their hospitality and flexibility very much!

Sharon and Dick were expert hosts. The "Little Heaven" description of this location is an understatement. It was absolutely perfect. My soul, my body, my mind, were completely at rest in this place. I can't describe how beautiful it is: waking up to a calm inlet at low tide, sleeping to the sound of the waves lapping inward as high tide was rising, the fishermen headed out to sea in the morning, the leaves across the bay having changed looking like a palette of earth tones. It was heavenly, indeed.

An absolutely stunning spot- perfect for relaxing, and also perfectly positioned to adventure out and explore beautiful Maine. Sharon and Dick are perfect hosts, and their warm, welcoming personalities are evident. My husband and I listened to the tides come in and out, heard the loon singing, owl calls- Perfection really, for anyone that likes being in tune with nature.

This space is small and cozy, right on the water where you can experience the changing tides and bird watch throughout the day (we especially loved watching the cormorants fish!). Location is great, and Sharon & Dick are super responsive and welcoming hosts. Excellent experience!

Great stay in a beautiful setting! Hard to beat the location - directly on the water - lovely to be able to watch the tide come and go on the rocky shore. The cottage is small but masterfully set-up to take advantage of the space. There are two comfortable armchairs in the windows for watching the tides and the sunset, and a deck with more chairs and tables outside. The kitchen was so meticulously set-up that I sent my son, who is a fan of "tiny houses," a few photos of the layout of dishes, cookware etc inside the cabinets - he was impressed. We had no difficulty cooking a range of nice meals despite the small space. We hope to have a chance to stay in this wonderful place again sometime soon.

Words truly cannot describe this little place. My husband and I eloped from Iowa, and got married right there on the boat dock, and spend a week relaxing, seeing the local sites, eating lobster and oysters, and watching the trees start to turn colors. Our first time in Maine was unbelievable, and would not have been the same had we stayed somewhere else. We loved the winding, wooded roads, and just wish we had our motorcycle! This little cottage was perfect for the two of us. Well equipped with everything we needed. We loved cooking live lobsters, grilling steaks and burgers, and eating on the deck. Dick & Sharron are wonderful!! Always friendly when we saw them around the property, and we still felt secluded and in our own private space. We look forward to returning to Little Heaven again someday!! Best vacation of our lives!

This is an amazing little spot on the water. Sharon and Dick were so helpful, but not intrusive. Life does not get much better than sitting on the deck, eating lobster and watching the seals.

This cottage is truly an unforgettable slice of heaven. We had the best time staying here and felt right at home. The cottage itself was adorable, very clean and well organized, allowing us to make dinners and breakfasts everyday, as well as grill on the porch. We enjoyed nearby hiking and sightseeing, beautiful sunsets and blissful mornings. We loved how quiet the location was and its tranquility, with unique birds and a fresh ocean smell morning and night. Sharon and Dick were very welcoming and accommodating, and we felt very comfortable lounging on the porch and sitting on the dock off their property. All we can say is thank you so much for an unforgettable experience and we definitely plan to return! This place is Maine’s best kept secret, in my opinion ;)

Sara's cottage was the perfect New Year's getaway for my husband and I. The place was immaculate. Very cozy with many homey touches. The view was magnificent. An excellent value!!

Booking with Sara was easy. Sara provided information about the location and access to her unit that was timely and accurate. Sara's unit is: charming, comfortable, equipped with all the amenities we needed, conveniently located, in a lovely setting and has scenic views. I highly recommend Sara's unit for your stay in the Edgecomb area.

Sara’s cottage has everything you need! For a tiny house, it is very comfortable and did not feel too small. Views are gorgeous and close by to many fun coastal towns. We hope to visit again soon.

Heaven on earth! Couldn’t have asked for more!

Sara’s place is absolutely idyllic. I felt like I was in one of those “over water” resorts. The cottage is impeccably decorated and the use of space is spectacular. The location is super-convenient. We walked across the bridge to dinner in Wiscasset one night, went down to Freeport to do some shopping, and explored Boothbay. The cottage was well equipped with all of the basics and a basket of delicious snacks. Thanks, Sara!

What a charming little cottage with beautiful views! I used it as a writing retreat for 5 days and it was perfect! Clean, comfortable, with all of the amenities I needed and more. If you are sensitive to light, you may want to bring eyeshadows because the sun rises over a skylight in the bedroom.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ship Shape. Being right in town is fantastic. We found plenty to do during our days visiting & enjoyed the coziness at night when we returned. We could see how this would be a great spot in the busy season as well. It’s all about location!

Ship Shape is consistently great. Warm, cozy, quiet, well appointed. I walked to dinner, then across the street to a good movie. Such a nice area.

Grace’s tiny bed and breakfast is a perfect place to spend some time. The view from her place looks over the Damariscotta river and walkng out the door you are literally right down town. And the best place of all is right downstairs where Grace runs her fabulous restaurant,”Savory Maine.

Excellent location in downtown with a nice river view. Clean, comfortable, with everything you need in a home away from home.

If you want to be in downtown Damariscotta, this is a wonderful place to go. There are lots of places to eat in a 2 or 3 minute walk. Renny's original store is right there. You are right across the street from the library and the Lincoln theater. The lovely used book store is essentially adjacent. A lovely view and easy walk to the water (however, it was winter and we didn't go there). We had a small number of guests for a few hours and there were sufficient dishes and glasses to entertain. The place was very clean and the bed comfortable. The decor was very attractive. Lots of good quality towels. A small number of interesting books. As is made clear in the listing, you do need to go up or down stairs every time you enter or leave the condo. Another tiny drawback - the assigned parking space is a bit tricky to get out of.

This rental was perfect for us as we were having a reunion at the family cottage on the Lake. We have decided that we will look for this or a similar place in town the next time the gathering at the cottage exceeds 20 people. We loved both the convenience and the view of river from the condo.

Gordon's place is a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, well appointed and a great view of the Damariscotta River. It's only a short 1/2 block to the Main Street, but was still very quiet. It has a dedicated parking place, which is a plus in the busy area. Close enough to walk to most amenities and restaurants.

Very cute place right off the Main Street! The bed is very comfortable and there are some nice touches - like individual packets of soap and shampoo for those of us who forget certain things. 😊 There are some yummy restaurants within walking distance. The carrot ginger scones and homemade hash are crazy good at Fernald’s Country Store. And the mussels and artichoke dip at Eidler’s Pub were fantastic.

Lovely place to stay in Damariscotta!

I like staying at Cottrell house when I come to Damariscotta to work on my old boat. This was my second time. It is a warm quiet and comfortable place, centrally located. I enjoyed meeting Lissette this time. I decided to make a quick breakfast before an early start and found it kind of awkward mostly because there is no stove/hot plate (consistent with the listing so no complaint here) and the only sink is 4 rooms away in the bathroom. Best to just make coffee and warm something up in the microwave or have some sort of cold cereal/granola. I would come back again.

Lissette is a kind and wonderful host. The Cottrell House is not only welcoming and comfortable, it's caring. The little studio apartment I stayed in was filled with sweet and thoughtful touches. It had everything I needed and is right on Main Street in town within walking distance of just about everything. Damariscotta, ME is a sweet town. The people are so nice and kind. It makes me want to move here!

This space was exactly what we were looking for and met our needs perfectly, and I would stay there again in a heartbeat! It was cozy with great amenities and a beautiful setting. Terrill was super welcoming and helpful, had great recommendations for the area.

Terrill and Charlie's cabin was perfect for my getaway. The loft bed is so cozy and sweet, the cabin is spacious, and the composting toilet situation was the best I've encountered yet (I do a lot of off-grid getaways). With all the amenities and extra special touches, this felt like a step above glamping. The cabin was toasty warm, the bed was super comfy, and the local recommendations were fantastic.

Terrill is a gracious host, and the cabin made for a perfect get-away! Highly recommended, with great outdoor opportunities very close by.

Terrill and Charlie’s little cabin was the perfect getaway from our busy city schedule. Even when the temperature went down to -10 F degree during the night/20 F degree during the day, the cabin stayed warm and cozy throughout our stay. We took advantage of the grill outside and made home cooked meals throughout our stay. Lots of games and books available to keep you busy while in the cabin but also close to lots of breweries and little cute towns to visit. We also loved the sustainability and eco friendly mindset the hosts have. We are definitely coming back in the summer to enjoy the river and take advantage of the wood fire oven.

The cabin was just perfect. Everything was exactly as described. Terrill was very friendly and checking in and out was a breeze. We enjoyed some of the scenery at a nearby town (Georgetown). Dresden is a very peaceful quiet down away from lots of traffic. We had a very peaceful enjoyable time. We visited in the winter months but would love to come back this summer.

This was a repeat stay for me and it won’t be my last! The Merrymeeting Cabin is an incredibly comfortable, private, and relaxing place to be. Terrill is a phenomenal host and extremely quick to respond to any questions. I’m very glad I found this Midcoast gem!!

Great location for a personal or writing retreat. Just the right blend of rustic and creature comforts. Great kitchen with all you need. Table is the perfect writing space. Excellent lighting. The loft is really great and tall enough to stand. Comfy, cozy bed. Composting toilet was a great setup. Very impressive sustainability efforts around waste - composting toilet and food waste compost collection under the sink. And of course recycling collection. The bathroom with the shower is a short walk from the cabin.

We never got a chance to meet Richard, because we arrived so late and left so early, but he left a light on for us and the door was left unlocked. It was a very comfortable night sleep. It was also extremely nice of Richard to have snacks and fruit for us.

Richard was really accommodating, and was willing to let us leave our car on site so we could travel without parking. He was really friendly, and was so helpful by having breakfast items ready for us, which was something I was hoping to bring myself but didn't get time too. It made our morning much easier! Easy location for a bike ride to downtown Damariscotta (~20minutes). Small, but perfectly fine for 2 people and a quick stay. Microwave and fridge for storing and heating up leftovers from a great dinner in town! :) Thanks Richard!

Cozy, comfy room in the woods. I slept like a baby! The ‘kitchen’ had great snacks, fresh fruit, juice and milk along with cereal options, granola bars and delicious coffee. I was quite impressed! Richard & Samantha where great hosts and I wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice private room with bath and an area for keeping food cold plus a microwave. Superb hospitality, opening his living room (with wood-burning stove!) to guests as well.

Richard's place was a quiet, private room and bath with it's own entrance in a wooded area close to Damariscotta. He sent very clear directions with a very visible marker at the driveway. The room is very comfortable and clean and appealing witha desk a d comfy reading chair and little kitchenet with small frig, coffee, microwave, popcorn and breakfast/snack items. Richard and his daughter Samantha greeted us warmly when we arrived. The heat was just right and the bed comfy. Loved it!

Richard's place was great. Just what we were !ooking for - nothing fancy, but clean, safe and comfortable. Off the beaten path in the woods.

Seth was an outstanding host. So was his little dog :). We had an amazing time. We had a fire with two comfy chairs. The bed was so soft and we slept like babies. He had a welcome basket to take to the dome with snacks , water , matches, fire starters, a map to the stars and I book for reference. He also had a telescope for our viewing pleasure. The temp was perfect with the heater in the dome. We woke up to a continental breakfast in the main house. The bathroom was sparkling clean. Everything about our experience was A+. Wish I could give him 10 stars.

The cozy domes are...well just that. Insanely cozy. Our dome was heated and was just walking distance from a clean hot shower and any amenities you would find in your home. The dome is large and comfortable, we were warm with an outside temperature of 16 degrees. The dome allows for a full panorama of the Maine night sky with zero light pollution. We saw over 10 shooting stars before falling asleep. Just minutes from Damariscotta it’s a fantastic location. In the morning we were pleasantly surprised with fresh coffee, and a continental breakfast! We will be returning in the spring to rent out all three amazing dimes with friends! Stay here. Trust me.

To sum it all up this was an unforgettable experience! We stayed two nights in the dome and even though one night it was 35 degrees out, we stayed warm with three extra blankets. We did a day trip to Acadia National park which was a bit of drive but so worth it! The two nights we stayed it drizzled at night so we couldn’t see to many stars from the dome but while sitting at the bonfire before it rained you could see them so clearly! If you are traveling to Maine this is a must do!

Comfy dome is an amazing outdoor stay with all the comforts of indoor amenities! Everything is exactly as reported in the listing, Seth is a great host with the most adorable dog! We had a wonderful stay though it was a bit cold at night. We would definitely stay here again!

The lure of sleeping in a clear dome and waking up to nature was incredibly appealing to us, but Seth’s hospitality is what truly made this a memorable experience. Upon arrival he took us on a tour with Quinn (best fetching dog EVER) and showed us where to park along with the bathroom in his home. It was so nice to shower after a long day of hiking then go bundle up next to the fire before burying ourselves under the most amazing blankets. Seth gave us a welcome basket of flashlights, local moon pies, a charger kit, and matches with a fire starter. He also graciously let us do a load of laundry! If we ever find ourselves in this area again, we’ll definitely be staying here!!

This was such a unique stay! Several extra comforters meant I was super warm and cozy, and there were lots of cute touches like a star map and home made moon pies! The view was beautiful, the bed was ultra comfortable, and Seth made sure I felt at home. Thanks for the stay!

Seth was very welcoming and anticipates his guests needs before they occur. We stayed in the comfy dome in the beginning of October, and we were warm enough during the night with all the blankets provided, even though there was a thick frost in the morning (30 degrees F). The comfy dome is a unique experience that will not be easily forgotten.

Beautiful place to get out of the busy routine and experience something different. The dome was very clean and the bed very comfy. Nothing better than to wake up to the sound of rain. Seth's mom provided us with extra blankets just in case we get cold but we didn't. I totally recommend the comfy dome.

The Sea Salt Cottage is adorable. It is in an old home so there are a few quirks, but it adds to the charm. Ammi was very helpful and the muffins she provided were delicious. The offerings of tea, coffee and milk and butter were nice touches. We enjoyed the books and info for the surrounding area. The bed was comfy. The Sea Salt cottage is in a central location on Midcoast Maine, with so many beautiful places within an easy drive. Ammi is a gracious host, and gave us great tips on the best places to see within our time frame. The space is beautifully done, with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. Ammi truly thought of everything! We can't wait to come back to Maine and the Sea Salt!

Super comfortable bed, beautiful linens, private bath, and kitchenette with a fantastic selection of teas and coffee. Not to forget, the amazing blueberry muffins! Ammi Bai is a wonderful, caring host, who is also a talented artist! I love that some of her artwork hangs on the walls of Sea Salt, and she has a beautiful small gallery of her artwork right next door. We cannot say enough good things about Sea Salt AND Ammi Bai!

I had three months in USA and Canada, but these last three wonderful weeks in Wiscasset were unforgettable. The Sea Salt Cottage is such a good place to rest. At all times I felt welcome and I enjoyed every conversation with Ammi very much! There was so much to discover in the Mid Coast Region and Ammi always supported me with excellent tips. I'll miss her, along with her well-kept garden, the tastefully decorated rooms and of course the delicious muffins. Thank you for every recommendation, especially the trip to Monhegan Island!

What an experience! This was absolutely the sweetest place to stay. I am so glad I found it. Every little detail about the cottage was perfect. So clean, fresh, comfortable and welcoming! Everything I needed was provided. Ammi was the sweetest and so informative. Loved getting to hear about all the great places around. The blueberry muffins were AMAZING! And such a sweet treat. I was so sad I had to leave, as I was truly enjoying every moment of being there. The flowers and greenery were gorgeous! All the special touches in the cottage were perfection. It couldn’t be any better. Definitely hoping to stay again and longer next time!!! If you need a special getaway spot, this for sure is it!!

The house and room were lovely. I made two suggestions; hopefully Ammi will follow through with them. She an her family were very sociable. I love Maine. It was nice to have a little kitchenette. Would love to go back.

Bea’s Place is a cozy yet modern home. We enjoyed exploring Pemaquid Point, Damariscotta, daytrips to Boothbay Harbor and Bailey’s Island. The owners were quite accommodating and quick to respond to any questions or issues. We were a party of 6 and had sufficient room. We enjoyed being able to have breakfast and dinner at the home, as the kitchen is well equipped. Should we visit the area again we will definitely consider Bea’s Place.

This place is THE perfect place to stay if you're on a trip to Maine. It's centrally located, an hour away from Portland, 2.5 hours away from Acadia and 3 hours from more inland stuff like Baxter State Park. Fifteen minutes away is a gorgeous and pretty private lighthouse. The house itself is organized to the T, the instructions are super clear and the kitchen is a dream come true. Perfect place, homey, cozy, highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Theresa’s. It was close to Pemaquid, New Harbor ferry to Monhegan Island, and Damariscotta. Wonderful kitchen!

I had a great weekend with my friend in Theresa's house. The setting is very quiet and relaxing in the countryside. The residence is well thought out and everything is there to feel good. The kitchen is a great place to cook and hang out !! I would love to have the same, undoubtedly! My only downside is the side of the mattress, for my part, I prefer less firm;) I enjoyed a pleasant stay in Bristol and its surroundings, I definitely recommend!

The Crow's Nest is a wonderful and beautiful place to stay! It is a comfy loft apartment on their farm. We loved seeing her horses hanging out in their side yard when we drove to or from the apartment. We enjoyed a nice long weekend slightly unplugged from our everyday lives. Nina provided very clear instructions for checking in and out. She kept us informed of a power outage and how that could potentially impact our stay. We all decided to play it by ear and the power came back on before we arrived. I appreciated both her transparency and flexibility as a host. She also provided detailed instructions in the rental manual as well as notes throughout the apartment. I highly recommend staying at the Crow's Nest if you need to make the great escape to Maine!

Charming loft apartment, well appointed, like new everything! Be sure to read the instruction book so as to not partake of food/wine there for owners only.

A very homey little cabin, a glorious view of the river from the loveseat, coffee supplies and equipment all waiting to go, including cream in a pretty picture in the fridge. Check in smooth and quick. The bed was wonderful comfortable, lots of pillows, thick comforter. There is a ladder to the loft bedroom, I am 68 year old lady, was easily able to manage. Would stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying here. The Lake is the beautiful and the lodge had everything we needed for a relaxing lakeside vacation. It's close to downtown Damariscotta, where we got to go to some great local shops. It's also close to Oxbow brewery, one of our favorite breweries and Morse's Sauerkraut, a gem where you can get a great sit down meal, meats and cheeses and specialty food and drinks from europe. Bowen was a great host and we felt cared for if we needed anything. Thanks again!

The place is the perfect lake getaway for the weekend. It can be tricky to find the road at night but keep going straight! Lake is a blast and they have a fire pit and wood outside! Not much sleeping spaces! Bring comfy cozy blanket and sheets. We loved it

Loon Lodge was an excellent place to stay for our first visit to Maine! It was clean and quiet. We enjoyed watching the sun rise on the private dock on the lake while listening to the loons. We would love to stay at Loon Lodge again for another visit to Maine!

A slice of heaven. We were there midweek, after Labor Day, and it was peaceful, quiet...lovely. The area is great ...on the lake, in the woods, private, and 20 minutes from salt water, fresh seafood, quaint towns...a perfect spot! The camp was cozy, had all we needed and wanted! Loon Lodge was all we were looking for... and Bowen is a responsible and responsive host. We highly recommend your booking with Bowen and getting away to loon lodge!

Loon Lodge was well furnished had everything needed for a wonderful vacation. The dock was great for my pup to jump off and swim. The water and lake was beautiful. I loved drinking coffee on the huge deck and listening to the loons. Truly a wonderful place for a peaceful retreat.

Fantastic lake rental! Would definitely stay at Gould Road again! The house was spotless & the lake view was amazing! Newcastle Vacation Rentals has wonderful customer service! They answered all our questions, and even emailed us the week before our stay to let us know the boat launch was going to be closed! Check-in & out was easy!

Newcastle Vacation Rentals was quick to respond to my questions. I feel you lose a little in the charm of personal rentals with an agency like Newcastle, but you also get a secure feeling that things will be as expected on check-in which counters that. Normally when I've rented houses in the past, especially camps, there are condiments, etc. I understand why Newcastle doesn't allow you to leave them for the next person, so it was a minor thing. We choose to bring our own bedding- which was fine as I normally bring my own pillows anyway. The location of cabin 109 was perfect for us. Off a road, down a long dirt road. There was one cabin in sight, but it was on the backside of the house. I LOVED Damariscotta lake. It is huge and very quiet. Very little boat traffic. Very peaceful. Internet was very slow and spotty. It was great to disconnect, but if you planned on working while at the cabin you may not be able to. I was able to send/receive emails. We had a great vacation and wouldn't hesitate to rent this cabin again.

It's a perfect home base to explore the area. Clean, quiet and comfortable apartment. We loved having the washer and dryer in unit, and the beds and linens we're super comfortable.

One of the best AirBnBs we’ve stayed in! The apartment is exactly as it appears in photos and sparkling clean. We were very comfortable - everything was newly renovated and the location was fantastic; right in the center of Damariscotta. We felt very welcomed, and loved going downstairs for coffee and breakfast at Cupacity. Couldn’t have asked for more and wouldn’t have changed a thing.

The apartment is perfectly situated for a stay in Damariscotta. It’s comfortable and very clean. The fun, modern, tasteful aesthetic plays nicely with the bones of a lovely, historic downtown building. Susan and Ted are delightful hosts. Their coffee shop, Cupacity, right downstairs, is a treasure. Two unexpected extras: designated parking and a washer and dryer. Stay here!

This is a spacious, bright, nicely laid-out apartment in charming Damariscotta, close to shops and restaurants. The back windows offer a view of the tidal Damariscotta River, and the place is filled with natural light. Comfortable beds, kitchen stocked with all the necessary items, including washer and dryer. The place is brand new, clean, and lean – the Andrew Wyeth reproductions on the walls were perfect. Our hosts Ted and Susan, who own the coffee shop downstairs, were available and welcoming. What could be better than a café in the same building, where you can relax, play games, and enjoy the piano? Overall, we had a wonderful stay and hope to return.

What a fabulous stay at the apartment! The place is amazingly quiet while also being in the middle of town, extremely clean and tidy, everything we needed available, and well furnished with some really cool touches. The hosts are welcoming and helpful. Amazing coffee shop (also with yummy tapas on some nights!) downstairs. Offstreet parking is a huge bonus. We will definitely stay again.

This was a wonderful place to stay for a weekend. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and we loved the historic charm of the homestead. Ginger was super communicative and helpful. Fun details included by the host: a working record player with a nice selection, plenty of board games, and a book detailing the past of the Hilton House and farm. Had an excellent experience at Sumner's apartment. Very clean and cozy with a well-equipped kitchen and lots of extra bedding and towels. Excellent location for exploring Lincoln County; an easy drive to Portland as well. Perfect size for 2-3 people. Highly recommend!

This is a wonderful apartment at a great location. Second time staying here with my family and we’ll absolutely be back! Don’t forget to enjoy the treats and sandwiches at S. Fernald’s Store (smoked salmon bagel is my favorite)!

Nice little spot in North Bath

Karen is a kind, personable, and wonderful host. She shared her background very openly like a friend you’ve known for years. Her dog, Jack is super friendly and was very quiet while we were there. My partner and I had a wilderness first responder course nearby and needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. The bed was very comfy and we both had a quiet, night sleep. Would have loved to stay another night!
