The apartment is located in the heart of the city of Sortavala, in a historic Finnish house (1914) which is a cultural heritage site. We promise you that having spent time with us at a party, the impression of the trip will remain even brighter. In addition to accommodation, guests can contact the hosts for any questions. We will be happy to help you and tell you how to get to Ruskeal, where to eat, where to go. The apartment itself has everything you need for living, dishes, kettle, towels, hygiene products ...
“The apartment is small, but cozy and original. From w. Station 25 minutes walk, you can take a taxi, phone numbers can be obtained from the hostess. A 2-minute walk to the Magnit store. Drinking water needs to be bought, since yellowish water flows from the tap. This is apparently a feature of the region. Tea, sugar and spices are. I recommend this apartment and the city of Sortava as a whole for the weekend.”
Cozy new house on the river bank. Walking distance to the old entrance to the Ruskeala Mountain Park. There is parking for cars. Fishing is possible on the river for lovers. The house has everything you need for a friendly company - a large living room and dining room with a chic fireplace. Along the whole house there is a large open terrace on the sunny side with a beautiful view of the river. There is a barbecue. There are 6 rooms in the house. If you need a whole house, we’ll agree. Near the house there is a bathhouse on the river bank (not included in the price of the house)
“The house is new. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Very beautiful kitchen and living room. Rooms on the 2nd floor with a balcony and a view of the river. We are not fans of the bath, but I think in the summer it is beautiful because it is located a few meters from the river. There are barbecue facilities and a huge terrace. Ruskeala Park is 10 minutes on foot. But if you don’t have a car, you will have to go through the park from the railway station for about 30 minutes, paying 300 rubles. per person for an entrance ticket. And leaving the park to the house, you won’t be able to return, because there are ticket offices where you need to re-buy an entrance ticket from the other side (near the station). But Alex was always in touch and helped us solve this problem. He met us at the second entrance (to get to it you need to buy a ticket to the park at the station and walk 15 minutes up the hill according to the signs). This entrance has a huge parking lot for cars and a free left-luggage office. There we handed things over to Alexei and walked in the park until dark (the lights turned on for about 18 hours) and reaching the 3rd exit from the park where, unfortunately, there is no entrance and ticket office, we reached Alexey's house in 10 minutes. The next day, Alex took us to the waterfalls for 300 rubles. and when we walked up called him and he took us. And also, having returned from the waterfalls for lunch, he kindly allowed us to stay in the house and eat before our train (at 5 p.m.). In general, the organization of entrances and exits in the park is very uncomfortable, but thanks to Aleksey everything went fine !!! I recommend !!!”
“Stayed in March 2020. The hosts are very attentive; promptly answer all questions. The apartment is very conveniently located - in the center; on the shore of the bay - it can be seen from the window; near the railway - you can see a steam locomotive in the Marble Canyon; near the park. The apartment is small (studio), but very comfortable. There is everything for a comfortable stay. Heat. There is a water heater. Only positive impressions.”
