Under Volcanoes View Guest house

GeorgeRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We LOVED our stay with Mickael, Rhita, Jean D'amour, Olivier and the rest of the team. They made us feel so at home in this beautiful location directly under the volcanoes. You couldn't ask for a better view, or better hospitality. Our experience was truly one we will remember for a lifetime, walking in nature. caves, visiting the museum and of course, climbing Gahinga (the smallest of the volcanoes). Despite being little, the hike was really challenging but we had an amazing time as we were joined by some members of the team along with the usual escort and our wonderful official guide Torero. Food was home-cooked and delicious, the company was second to none, creating a family atmosphere, and we can't wait to come back and challenge Oliver again to Igisoro. Also, cute dog.
A serene lakeside scene is depicted, featuring a black antelope grazing near the water's edge. In the background, two zebras are seen peacefully feeding on the grassy slope, surrounded by a landscape of gentle greenery and the shimmering surface of the lake.

Lake Bunyonyi Community Rest House

MaciejRating, 5 stars31 months ago
Jonathan is a member of local community and he is accepting his guests in his own house giving 1 room with bed (with mosquitiere). There is no running water or shower but water in the lake is clean. If you want to experience how normal Ugandans live this is a place for you. To come to Jonathan place you need to take boda (7000 SH in november 2022) to the small harbour with a boats. From there locals can take you on the other shore.
A panoramic view reveals a landscape of rolling hills and distant mountains, surrounded by a tranquil body of water reflecting the soft colors of the sky. Lush greenery blankets the foreground, enhancing the serenity of the scene.

Gorilla close up lodge.

Bobby was a great host. His place is laid back and chill. Great view of the national park. Good food at the restaurant. Fun host.
A hand is seen holding a bottle of Nile Special beer in front of a campfire. Logs are arranged in a circle around the fire, with flames and smoke rising into the surrounding greenery. The forest creates a natural backdrop, adding to the outdoor ambiance.

Economy Double Room

Where do I even start? This place is pure magic. Tucked right on the edge of Bwindi’s Impenetrable Forest, it felt like we could literally touch the forest from our cabin terrace — and when the rain rolled in? Pure, soul-soothing enchantment. Nature’s lullaby at its finest. The staff? Absolute gems! Warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated — from serving up mouthwatering meals to even handling our laundry with care. And when it came time for our gorilla trekking adventure, they didn’t just point us in the right direction — they made sure we got to the check-in spot, snacks in hand like the pros they are. The lodge also offers super comfy transfers — complete with scenic stops at lakes and rolling hills, turning the journey into part of the experience. Honestly, it wasn’t just a stay — it was the kind of trip you carry in your heart long after you’ve left. Already dreaming of the day we'll be back!
A rustic wooden door is framed by natural greenery, providing access to a shared bathroom. A simple sign displaying symbols for male and female indicates the facilities. Soft light filters through the trees, adding warmth to the inviting outdoor setting.

The place is really nice and has many smart ecologic decoration made with recycled materials and a lot of creativity. For now the place is on renovation but we still managed to sleep in a very comfortable and clean private room. The host is super nice and very open to international community members. We had a very good time!

Gahiza Island Retreat

JeroenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
One of the most unique Airbnb's I've ever stayed in. David transformed a tiny island on Lake Mutanda into a little paradise. Beautiful room & views, great food, lovely family. Perfect location to hike volcanoes or visit the Mgahinga National Park to see Gorilla's or Golden Monkeys.
Vibrant red flowers bloom amidst lush greenery, framing a pathway leading toward a serene lake. Towering trees and distant hills create a tranquil backdrop, while a rustic structure is partially visible to the right, adding to the natural beauty of the landscape.

Gorgeous place and as others have said, the best shower ever! To get to the treehouse is a steep hike (but I managed to get all my steps in) so be prepared.
