Nestled amongst the serene, rolling hills of Tuscany — just a 15 minute drive from nearby Montalcino – sits the 75 acre estate, Ombroneta - formerly Casali di Bibbiano. This stunning 18th Century country estate operates as two luxury villas and cottage with exclusive full-property use. Total of 16 bedrooms accommodating up to 42 people.

The space
The estate is fully staffed with a concierge team, a chef, waiters, housekeepers and a wine team ensuring the highest quality Tuscan villa experience but with so much more.

The two villas (Casalone and Casalino) at Ombroneta have 15 bedrooms along with a 1 bedroom private cottage (Casina).

Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom and air conditioning. The entire property has Starlink WIFI and Sonos music system throughout.

We offer all of the modern comforts and services you’d expect from a private villa experience but with the added opulence and amenities you’d expect from a luxury, boutique hotel. Included on the property is a seasonal outdoor new Infiniti pool and jacuzzi with bar, fully-equipped gym, tennis court, basketball court, bocci and soccer field.

The property also features a Cucina Restaurant offering daily breakfast for guests and by reservation private lunch and dinner bookings. Nearby guests can play the renowned golf course at Castiglion del Bosco. We invite you to come and experience spectacular landscape, panoramic views that Ombroneta offers as well as the fine dining and a complimentary vineyard tour and wine tasting from our award winning vineyard team.

Each of the larger villas can be rented individually (shared pool) or most guests, rent the entire property exclusively. 2025 rates are 5000 euros per villa per night or 10000 euros per night for the entire estate. Weddings at the estate require a 3 day minimum and the rate is 12,000 per night.

The estate has acres upon acres of vineyards, gardens, and hilltop views that the villas of Ombroneta look out upon.

The estate also boasts a stunning swimming pool, gym, tennis and basketball courts, and access to the world-renowned golf course, Castiglion del Bosco. Situated just a few kilometers from Buonconvento and a short drive from Montalcino and Siena guests can also visit the nearby medieval villages of Bagno Vignoni, San Quirico D’Orcia, and Monticchiello or tour the Cappella di Vitaleta or the iconic Bosco di Cipressi.

Other things to note
In combination with its luxury villas and amenities, Ombroneta operates as a full-production winery of award-winning Tuscan wines.

The wines of the Val d’Orcia region are truly hidden gems. Visitors can be guaranteed that the careful attention given to the Casali di Bibbiano property and its guests carries over to its wines and cuisine, as well.

The trio of Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot grapes that compose the estate’s wines and the meticulous care that goes into their production has largely been a secret to those lucky few that have visited Casali in the past. Over the coming years every effort will be made to both increase awareness of the existing wines and to apply new winemaking techniques to further enhance what can come from these amazing vineyards, facilities and people.

The winery is open to the general public for tours and wine tastings.
