The space
"Apartment Blue Mar" sits on the second floor of an oceanside complex with it's own pool and has beautiful panoramic vistas over Funchal, from mountain to sea. The apartment's daily breathtaking views are spectacular from sunrise to sunset and you'll enjoy the passing ships cruising the Atlantic, tourist catamarans and fishing boats during the day, whilst at night you can enjoy a bottle of our famous Madeiran wine on your private balcony whilst taking in the flickering lights of Funchal.
Within walking distance of natural seawater rock pools, an array of restaurants and bars - where you can sample the traditional 'poncha', and the famous Lido Promenade. Also within reach is the shopping mall 'Forum Madeira' which includes coffee shops selling Madeiran delicacies, supermarkets, a pharmacy, high street shopping outlets, laundry service, a cinema and small boutique stores.
The downstairs patio includes a large glistening swimming pool with sun lounges - perfect to work on that tan!
We have also recently added Netflix UHD to the TV too, in case you'd like to stay in and watch a good movie :)

This redeveloped open plan apartment is self catering and features a large double bed, modern bathroom with bath and shower, a lounge area with a large flat screen TV including cable and a double fold-out sofa bed. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a microwave, oven, fridge, dinning table and chairs, a ceramic glass-top stove and washer. The curtains also have blackout lining to ensure a good morning's sleep without any disturbance of sunlight peeping in. The balcony is just off the lounge and includes an additional table and chairs for those early breakfasts or evening tapas al fresco. WiFi is available throughout the apartment.
"Apartment Blue Mar" completed it's full refurbishment in May 2015 and everything is completely brand new - from the Mattress to the cutlery - and we look forward to welcoming you to this oceanside paradise.

We do have security measures in place, medical aid kit, fire blanket, fire extinguisher, emergency numbers etc

Please note the name of this apartment is blue mar due to its beautiful views. It can be found in the ‘apartamentos do mar’ complex.
We love that there is basically everything to cater to your needs close to the apartment!
If you feel like going for breakfast it's within walking distance, including lunches and suppers!
If you want to stay at the pool side there is a small coffee shop that has just opened by the pool serving sandwiches, coffees etc
The natural rock pools are 5 minutes away on foot if you want to swim in the sea and rock pool!
If you feel like a leisurely walk the promenade is right there for however long you want to walk too, you can even go all the way to the small fishing village called Camara De Lobos for meals, coffees or just for sightseeing!
If you're in the mood for shopping you have the Forum Madeira shopping centre for all your needs!
At the Forum you have movie cinemas as well.
Or you can just sit by the balcony and enjoy the view!!!

Myself and my husband, Johnny are both South African born with Madeiran parents. My love for my island started after the first "long visit" at the tender age of 8. The memories still vivid in my mind and will forever cherish them! Later on, my husband and I brought our two sons to Madeira for holidays over the years and guess what? My eldest son is now living here now for the last five years and owns a tourism tour company. My younger son lives in the UK but often visits Madeira too.
