A newly-restored Tuscan villa with stunning views across the Sienese hills. Set amid olive groves in the beautiful Val d’Orcia, the house has been restored to the highest specifications while maintaining its authentic Tuscan style and charm. The main house has 5 bedrooms sleeping 10 guests, and there is an adjacent annex which sleeps up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms.

The space
The property has been restored by a team of artisanal builders who have married the property's original, authentic Tuscan architecture with modern attributes such as underfloor cooling (underfloor heating in the winter) as well as a/c units in each bedroom, Wi-Fi throughout the property , and a heated pool with an easily retractable, hard safety cover for when not in use.

Each of the 7 bedrooms has its own en suite bathroom, all of which have a modern shower unit (three also have a bath).

6 of the 7 bedrooms have double beds measuring 180cm x 200cm (6’6” x 6’0”). Of those, three (Bedrooms 4, 5 and 7 in the photo gallery) can be split to create twin beds if desired. The other bedroom is a twin room (Bedroom 3 in the photos).

The house and its gardens have a full perimeter fence, preventing children and pets from wandering too far into the beautiful countryside! We can also provide a cot and/or travel cot, as well as a high chair and stair gate, if required.

Included in the base price is a daily visit (excluding Sundays) from our cleaner, who will help keep the house immaculate.

Our own home is just down the road, and either we or our caretakers are always there and available to help with any queries or problems.

The pool is available from May through to the end September. It can potentially be opened/heated outside of these months on request.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property.

Please note the villa will only ever be rented to one group, who will have exclusive use of the entire property (both the main house and the annex). The annex will not be rented separately to a different group.

Other things to note
The villa is approached along charming, unspoiled Tuscan "strade bianche" (white roads). There are a number of charming villages all within 15-30 minutes drive, including San Casciano dei Bagni, Cetona and Sarteano, where you can find all your shopping needs as well as several outstanding restaurants.

We are also within easy driving reach of the ancient cities of Siena, Pienza, Orvieto, and Perugia. For wine lovers, Montalcino and Montepulciano (producers of some of Italy's most esteemed wines) can be reached via a 60 minute drive through the stunning Val d'Orcia, the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A car is essential, not just for sightseeing but also for local food shopping. Although we can recommend firms who will provide an all day car service, there are no local taxi firms.

Florence is 1.5 hours away and, along with Perugia and Rome, is among the most convenient airports for those flying in.

Linen, bathroom towels and pool towels will be provided by the hosts, and a hairdryer is available in each bedroom.

The hosts, whose home is just down the road, can help organise the following (subject to availability):
- cookery classes
- private chef for lunch and/or dinner
- guided tours of local cities and towns such as Siena, Pienza or San Gimignano by a professional art historian
- e-bike rental

The family also makes an award winning extra virgin olive oil from olive groves surrounding the property. For guests visiting in late October or early November, there is possibility of joining family and friends in the annual olive harvest, and tasting the oil at its very best - just as it is fresh out of the press.
