Neighborhood highlights

Guests can easily reach the apartment by bus, taxi or UBER, whether coming from the Airport, Central Bus Station or the maritime transport terminal.

Jardim de Alah is at the central point of a semicircle, approximately the same distance to the urban beaches of the south, north and west of the city, or the historic center. This facilitates transportation by private vehicle, taxis or buses. It is also relatively close to shopping malls, the metro station and the Central Bus Terminal to facilitate a day trip to any of the beaches on the coast, such as Praia do Forte.

Near the apartment, there are Itaú bike points that allow the registered guest to cycle along the entire waterfront from the north to the south of the city, changing bikes a few times along the way.

The apartment is located 100 meters from the beach and the same distance from restaurants and the routes used by public transportation vehicles to all of Salvador's neighborhoods. It is also very close to supermarkets, bakeries, snack bars and pharmacies within walking distance.

The apartment is also close enough to walk to Parque dos Ventos, where Salvador's New Year's Eve parties take place in the last week of December and January 1st.
During Carnival, there are usually continuous minibus lines throughout the afternoon, evening and early morning, connecting Jardim de Alah to the Ondina Carnival circuit.
Note that Salvador's December 2020 New Year's Eve parties and February 2021 Carnival did not take place. Before booking accommodations for these upcoming parties, try to make sure they will take place.

Where I went to school: Universidade Pública no interior de SP
My work: Currently only in things that I really like...
I am quiet, reasonably (but not neurotically) organized and especially like some things: healthy food, a good coffee, working on what I enjoy, having good friends and dedicating some time to a good conversation with old friends, especially having a nice wine. As a guest, I'm a traveler who enjoys meeting people with cultural diversity and not just landscapes, monuments, or architecture. I believe that I am a good host... I try to connect with the guest in a pleasant way and assist them in whatever is necessary to make their stay pleasant in my residence, which is obvious without intruding on privacy when I am present. I try to live in peace and quiet and my life motto is “to try to consider people with respect and dignity, always trying to understand them by putting myself in their place.” I have a higher level training at a graduate level at a Public University. I am currently a little busy with projects that I like to dedicate myself to, but as a host I can help you with what is necessary, for example when it comes to guidelines and tips that you will ask me about the city of Salvador, including about the interesting places most frequented by people in the city than by tourists. Not Baiano, but enjoying it a lot and already living here for a long time, I think I can know how to suggest what might be interesting to a visitor. I'm really into Japanese food, but I also enjoy Italian, Baiana, mining, and Brazilian food in general, including the so-called “outback food.” I like music, especially blues and rock, but I also like mangrove beat, reggae, rap, and hip hop. From the local music, I have been monitoring with admiration the work of the band Baiana System, which I consider a post-Chico Science new. I greatly appreciate the European cinema in general, the Argentine cinema and also always try to see what is eventually produced in the other countries of Latin America, but I also like the films of some directors who act in the EEAUU, especially those who have had influences of "beat culture". For leisure trips, I've been to various places in the world, but I like the countries that, while they have a very differentiated culture and way of life, also have some similarity to our viewing of life, especially some of Latin America, either in the Caribbean or in South America. I still have a great trip... to Mexico. In Bahia, whenever I can visit Chapada Diamantina, especially Vale do Capão.
