Leisure Isle is one of the SA's best places to live, secure and tranquil, and no wonder the choice of many permanent residents, non-resident home-owners, visitors from around the world, and notably, a stream of ‘swallows’, Europeans and Britons who flock south to escape the harsh Northern Hemisphere winter to enjoy its fabulous summer months and unique environment.
Ironically, some of the best Knysna weather is in winter, when days are frequently warm, gently sunny and mostly windless!
Island Nest is a stroll away from Steenbok Park and the sea/swimming at Bollard Bay is a few minute's walk away.
Beautiful beaching, sublime and safe swimming, fishing, walking, cycling, canoeing and boating, and bird watching are among the things to do on the island. It is people and dog heaven! The excellent Knysna Golf Course and the awesome Pezula Championship Course are but a few minutes’ drive away.
If you love walking, swimming, cycling, boating, bowls, tennis, birding, golf, chilling.... in safety and tranquility, then Leisure Isle is the perfect spot! Also ideally situated to explore the wonderful Garden Route and all it offers.
