Our cosy chalet Gray Wolf is situated in the picturesque Dinner Plain Alpine Village Resort. This stay is perfect for a small family, 2xcouples or friends who just want to hike in summer or ski/board/XC all day in winter! Gray Wolf is clean, warm and cosy. Please note, we now offer Starlink internet. Antenna TV is NO LONGER available in the village as of April 2025.
We will consider furbabies on request. ;)
The space
The kitchen has a beautiful new ILVE oven, Nespresso Coffee Machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, sandwich press, slow cooker and large fridge. If there is something you would specifically like please do not hesitate to ask and Ill do my very best to organise.
There are two sitting areas, a sunken lounge with new lounges with large open fireplace and a smaller sitting area with comfy beanbags and a pot belly fire. (Please ensure to use the fire screen on the open fireplace and keep the glass door closed on the pot belly at all times due to spitting fire ambers. Please ensure to extinguish all fires on checkout.) We do supply plenty of wood and firelighters so brush up on your fire-making skills, it is an art!
The bathroom is small but recently renovated! We do supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap. For returning guests, we removed the old bath and now have a shower.
The two bedrooms have very comfy queen beds, both bedrooms are located upstairs. There are no baby gates hence not ideal for young children.
The laundry has a front loader washing machine and dryer. On another note, our house is known for it's hooks, there are many hooks to hang your belongings especially in the small sitting room. There is a purpose built rod above the pot belly to hang your ski clothes.
There is a back deck however this is generally full of snow during the winter. Please be careful and mindful of falling snow from the roof. If you have children, please educate them on "roof avalanches" they can be extremely dangerous and can happen very quickly.

Other things to note
Hi, Im your host Melinda (aka Min) and I personally manage and clean GrayWolf which is my passion. Should there be any special requests or dates you would prefer please do not hesitate to ask and Ill do my very best to accommodate. I do drive up from Melbourne to clean each and every checkout so back to back bookings are only available should the weather permit. I will always offer early check ins and late check outs when possible however if it is a back to back booking then early and late check outs cannot be offered.
Carparking is tight in our court. 1 car only is permitted. Snow clearers and other chalets need to be able to enter and exit easily. If you have 2 cars, please visit Dinner Plain Accommodation and request a parking permit for Scrubbers END carpark. DP is a small village, the carpark is a 5 Min walk up Halter Lane.
On another note, heating is a HUGE expense up here, costing up to $100 per day. Please be mindful of the environment and I kindly ask that if the house gets too hot then please turn panel heating down rather than open windows. I thank you in advance for your understanding.
