Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Pictures don't do these cottages justice. This has been a private family vacation compound for four generations. We have been entrusted to manage this property by the multi-decade relationship we have with the family. There are three individual one-bedroom/one-bathroom cottages in this compound. They share a common courtyard in the back. This makes for complete privacy for each party, and a wonderful shared protected outdoor space for groups or gatherings.

The space
Nestled in the dunes and the sea oats this sweet old Florida home has touched the lives of many. Renovated and stocked with the creature comforts of home, we welcome you to enjoy the peace and tranquility of our little sliver of paradise. Most all of our first time guests become repeat guests as they fall in love with the place too.

Each cottage is rented individually. You may select any of the three or all three. Price varies on size and potential capacity. Check our three listings, identified as Amelia Island A1A Oceanfront Getaway, Amelia Island A1A Beach Cottage, Amelia Island A1A Seashell Retreat. (there is another unit [separated by a fence] behind the front three, and the family retains it for their own use

Guest access
The cottage will be yours to privately enjoy while you are here with us. The courtyard is the common area that you will share with other guests during your stay. Many a long time friendships have bloomed in this courtyard over the years. Friendships that span continents and oceans.

Other things to note
We are often asked if we can accommodate boat/trailer parking, unfortunately we cannot. Our onsite parking is only large enough to provide 1 space per cottage.

This is a classic little seaside town! You WILL get sand on your shoes/feet. (we even have an outside and "foot" shower in the rear courtyard.

There is a wooden walk-over the dune to the ocean just across the street from the compound.

If you walk (bike, drive) four blocks you are at the "Main Beach" Park. There are basketball courts, mini-golf, skate park, mini-market, restaurants and gas station
You can spend your days walking the pristine beaches, saunter over to Ft. Clinch, or kayak Egan's Creek. Our charming, historic downtown has plenty of local shops and restaurants to enjoy and it's only about 3 miles away.

Within a couple miles you will find several great ways to spend the day. Fort Clinch is a fantastic way to get a little history on your getaway. If you are a nature lover, Egan's Creek wetlands walk, is a beautiful spot for birding and spotting wildlife. A new edition to recreation is Egan's Creek park with a circuit of equipment and a mile track for a nice workout, also at the park a Kayak launch. There is great fishing on-shore at the beach or the creek. A short ride finds you in the Historic Downtown area with many unique shops and restaurants. The marina is located at the end of downtown where a River Boat Cruise can be had or make arrangements for a Charter Fishing trip. The island is full of fun things to see and do if you want to explore. The beach itself is relatively quiet with plenty of solitude if you're in the mood for some much needed R&R.
