We are owner occupied and licensed with the City. Select your rental carefully! Don't rent from someone who just gives you instructions on how to get in. Rent somewhere where the owner is on hand to greet you and give you local tips and recommendations. Our location 3 blocks from the Quarter and 3 blocks from Frenchman and can't be beat!

The space

Live like a local in your own New Orleans cottage!

Located in the hip, historical Marigny Triangle district, charming “Burgundy Cottage” is the guest quarters behind our home with a private entrance through the central courtyard. Built in 1830, it is comfortably furnished and can sleep six. The bedroom has a queen size bed, the loft (reachable by wrought iron spiral staircase) has 2 twin beds, and the high vaulted ceiling living area has a day bed with a pull-out trundle. There are two full baths, a washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and high speed Internet access. We have a tv with ROKU. We also have adjustable central heat and air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep you comfortable.

The hustle and bustle of the French Quarter and its attractions are just blocks away to the left. To the right, enjoy nightlife on trendy Frenchman Street with its jazz clubs, bars and restaurants, a popular destination for locals on Mardi Gras.

There is plenty of street parking, but all main attractions are within walking distance.

For the first time visitor to NOLA, you can’t pick two more accommodating hosts than the Sinclairs. We’ll give you the inside information on the best places to eat, drink, watch parades and enjoy the festivities. It’s not all Bourbon Street by a long shot. New Orleans is much more than one neighborhood or one street. That’s why we love it here! Come spend your time in New Orleans with us, in the middle of it all.

Please note:
We have 2 large friendly dogs.

We prefer to rent to ages 30+ or families. NO UNAUTHORIZED GUESTS LATE NIGHT OR OVERNIGHT. We are licensed by the City of New Orleans. Please see the House Rules.

Guest access

Enjoy our Courtyard between the main house and the Cottage or the back porch of the Cottage.

Interaction with guests

We have as much or as little interaction as guests would like. We are almost always present during the guest's stay and available for recommendations and suggestions.

Very nice historic house in a great location - literally 2-5 min walk to the fun parts of the city. Friendly and helpful owners live next door and ready to help whenever needed.

A few of us stayed here for a long weekend. It was an adorable coach house behind a house—we felt tucked in and safe. The house had more than enough beds and comfy places to relax, and it all had so much character and charm! The owners were helpful and very pleasant to hang out and talk with. They were around if you needed anything, but not intrusive at all. (They also have the cutest dog!) The location was very close to Frenchman street, some great breakfast/lunch spots, a cute wine store, and not very far from the French Quarter. I would say that most things were about a 10-15 minute walk. All of us agreed that we would love to stay here again.

This AirBnB is an amazing find if you are looking to be within walking distance of everything that the French Quarter has to offer. Carolyn and Din were amazing hosts. Not only did they provide us a clean and safe environment to stay in, but they are also very knowledgeable of the area and gave us great recommendations on places to see and eat. I would stay here again without a doubt and would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to be in the heart of New Orleans.

Renting an apt in the middle of escaping from Hurricane Irma with my boyfriend and two dogs was a little stressful to say the least... I had no idea what I was walking into and just knew that Carolyn was kind, compassionate to what we were going through and was able to provide a safe landing pad for us in a critical moment. So when we arrived, man, we were in for a big treat!! One of the most charming, enchanted feeling guest homes I have been in, and walking distance to Bourbon Street and two amazing brunch spots literally each a block away. Carolyn and her lovely family welcomed us and at the same time "let us be" and we completely felt independent and in our own space (which it is completely separate from the main house). The guest cottage embodies New Orleans and it's eclectic and artistic style, has double height ceilings and a loft area with additional beds. In short - when I return, this place is at the top of my list to stay at. Such a nice authentic New Orleans experience and much nicer than staying at a hotel. Happy my boyfriend found it and the location is just perfect. Thanks Carolyn!!
