Welcome to our absolutely magical camp. This themed camp is completely private for guests - whether you are just two or using all four beds. It is set at the edge of a huge private forest in Herefordshire, with stunning views over the Wye valley. Walks, fishing on the Wye (by arrangement) and relax by the camp fire or in your own wood fired hot tub.

The space
This unique camp has two sleeping tents and is open all year round as they have woodburners and are well designed. The largest tent houses a separated double 'room', a kitchen and seating area, and has a deck to sit out on with steps down to the woodfired hot tub. The second military tipi, has two single beds and a wood burner. There is a wonderful 'field kitchen' with covered dining area and gas stove and fridge.
The shower room with flushing loo is a hop and a skip from the tents, and there is also a large firepit for sitting around and cooking on. The beautifully secluded site sits high on the hillside with breathtaking views and exploring the woods or the valley - the freedom is endless. Whether you're looking for a unique romantic getaway or fun-filled family escape this fabulous woodland camp has so much to offer.
The electric lighting is battery powered, there is no internet access provided.

The main living quarters is a genuine ex-military safari tent, which comes complete with two woodburning stoves, chesterfield sofa, double bedroom and a fully functional kitchen. All the little extras from the pots and the pans to the coffee table are wonderful examples of real-life military gear, each with their own intriguing back story.
The super-insulated army tipi contains two single beds plus another woodburner, which makes a great second bedroom for kids, friends or another couple.
An open plan kitchen tent, with fully recycled army equipment, of course, is perfect for a family feast, while the barbecue and fire-pit outside offers another place to dine amongst the majestic woodland setting.
The bathroom is styled in the form of an air raid shelter, beautifully installed with a shower, toilet and hot running water, while the transparent roof looks up towards the trees protruding into the sky, creating a really magical outdoor experience.
From the lodge, the lookout point offers another seating area to enjoy the gorgeous Herefordshire countryside.
There is no internet access to the property, one well behaved pet is welcome. There is private parking at the site, but being situated along a track at the top of a hill, low lying cares may need to park further away and transport can be arranged to the camp.

Nearby Hereford has a wonderful cathedral and the famous Mappa Mundi is housed next door. The city also has all the usual shops and chain restaurants, historic walks and hidden gems.
Hay-on-Wye is just up the road in 15 minutes and is a glorious border town, with plenty of history and has the literary festival there every year.
The sites are close to the historic 'black and white trail' of Herefordshire, leading to the Brecon Beacons.

I am a mother of three - Jessica, Jack and Ben and married to a farmer in Herefordshire. I have a small holiday business there which I really enjoy and even though I love coming to London for short times as it keeps my sanity, we hardly visit our beautiful London house. I have loved creating a 'home from home' family house in London which others can now enjoy. I enjoy exploring new places and staying in unique properties. I am not one for sitting down too long and I have horses and dogs and when my children permit I can spend hours with them. I believe that when you are travelling and spending money you want to feel special and valued, and I deeply dislike staying in modern, massive hotels - however smart!! If I was travelling to London with my family, I would much prefer to take a house like mine - this is why I have done it. Tell me what you think!

During your stay
The four sites are set on our 350 year old family estate on the borders of England and Wales along the Wye Valley which is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Each one is completely individual and private and lends themselves for a complete romantic retreat.

Having re-designed and updated some of the gorgeous cottages on the estate for holiday rentals I turned my thoughts to creating an exclusive selection of fabulous individual luxury glamping sites all set in private locations within the ancient woods, among the apple orchards and along the River Wye.

It has been enormous fun planning the locations, sourcing items and creating each site. I can't wait for your adventure to begin at whichever camp you choose. You can expect peace and quiet with fantastic views, wild life surrounding you and options for fun outdoor cooking followed by marsh mallow roasting, pizza making in your own pizza oven at some sites and hot tub relaxation at others. The walking opportunities are endless, or take a canoe down the River Wye.

We welcome back visitors year after year, who all treasure the sense of peace and enjoyment they take away from their own glamping experiences here.
