Location

Monterey, Tennessee, United States

Located in a quiet little subdivision on 5 wooded acres at the end of a lane in a safe, residential, rural setting. Neighbours are friendly and keep to themselves. Backs up to a small lake. Spring & Summer provides maximum privacy, there is the occasional rain that is music to the ears on the tin roof and the fall foliage is a sight to see. Winter lays bare the terrain where the community is visible, yet peaceful.

We now call Monterey, TN home.... from big city living in Florida for over 30 yrs, both transplants...myself native Californian, husband an Indiana boy, met in Florida in 1986. Our favourite place to vacation, the Blue Ridge and Appalachian's. Weary of the last 4 hurricanes wanting to retire anywhere but Florida and the romance of living the Log Home life inspired a 4 yr search finally ending in the little town of Monterey. A small town, full of good people with big hearts! Ed converted the 2 story outbuilding on the property into what became our Little Cabin in the Woods, a place to call home for almost 3 yrs while honouring our renters' contract of our Log Home on same property. We have a Fur Kid named Dawg and almost 5 acres that demand our complete attention. Our " Little Cabin" remained empty over a yr after we moved into our Log Home when we decided it was time to share our Tiny House with others. We hope it feels like home and hopefully enjoy it as much as we have!
