Middleton Castle has been a family home since the early 1600s, with parts of the property dating back to 1450. This historic castle is in an impressive setting surrounded by a moat with panoramic views over the lawned gardens and acres of unspoilt rolling farmland beyond. Set in a peaceful Norfolk location, the castle is a truly unique place to stay, whatever the occasion.

The space
With a private approach up the driveway to the castle, this exclusive-use country estate on the outskirts of the village of Middleton is magnificent and guarantees complete privacy.

Across our two kitchens, oak panelled dining room (which can seat 30 guests) and four reception rooms, there is plenty of space for you and your guests to enjoy inside. Whilst outside, the landscaped gardens (which also includes a croquet lawn, BBQ and fire pit) and the estate's surroundings provide a space for guests to relax and unwind.

For those wanting more activity, we can offer garden games, a stunning billiards room, table tennis table, and expansive countryside for walking, running or cycling. Additionally, we have local suppliers who can set up activities in the grounds.

All fifteen bedrooms at Middleton Castle have been recently restored and renovated and are beautifully decorated to a high standard in keeping with the elegant and classic style of the rest of the property. We have nine double bedrooms, three twin rooms, and three of our rooms can be setup as doubles or twins. In addition to five elegant en-suite bathrooms, there are five family bathrooms and three separate loos, all of which have locally sourced amenities.

Whether you are planning a celebratory time away, or a holiday with family or friends, the estate is big enough for you and your guests to spend the duration of your stay within the privacy of it, or you can use it as a base to explore this beautiful part of Norfolk.
