- Large and cozy common space + balcony with nice view
- Cleaning lady can do laundry on Tues and Fri, otherwise washing machine available to use any day

- Safe neighbourhood

Other things to note
Noise pollution on certain nights: The apartment is located within earshot of Cayenne Restaurant and Lounge. Cayenne is at once a lovely place to eat or go out for a fun night of dancing, but it also is responsible for significant noise pollution in my apartment. The music can be heard loudly from the guest bedroom on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights until very late (hopefully when you're out enjoying the vibrant Kampala nightlife!). I'm personally used to it, and sleep fine with a fan on to bury the noise, but light sleepers will likely have an issue with this. I provide ear plugs if you need them, but please avoid staying with me on those days if you think this will aggravate you too much, or if earplugs are a major bother. I should say that sadly, this is a fairly common issue in much of Kampala.

Hello guests! Thank you for considering staying with me during your stay in Kampala. Regardless of what brings you to town, I'm confident that you would enjoy your stay in my home and in my area of Kampala. I'm a Canadian expat, and I've been in Kampala since September 2015. I speak English and French fluently, I get by in Spanish, and I'm now trying hard to pick up Luganda :) I'm here to start a social enterprise with a goal of helping small businesses grow and realize their full potential. I love meeting new people who are traveling the world doing interesting things, whether for work or for fun. I've already tried and tested a lot of what Kampala has to offer, and I would be delighted to help you understand how to get around, to recommend places to explore, and of course, the best restaurants to eat! Please contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully hosting you in my safe oasis. Catherine
