*updated listing, previously 10 ratings at 4.9 stars!* The Lawrence at Old Las Palmas, a restored 1952 mid-century gem by acclaimed designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard. This private retreat boasts dramatic San Jacinto Mountain views, terrazzo floors, chef’s kitchen, mirrored bar, and a stunning art with works by Chris Trueman, Natasha Law, Peter Gronquist, and more. Swim in the sparkling pool, watch the mountains glow at sunset, dine under desert stars, and stroll to downtown Palm Springs.

The space
Martyn goes midcentury at this resort-inspired home on Palm Springs’ Millionaires’ Row. Behind the white walls that circle the grounds, a pool, palms, and mountain views await. Slip out of the gate to walk to galleries, shops, and restaurants along Palm Canyon Drive.

Palm fronds cast feathery shadows over a pool with a swim-up bar and tanning shelf. Loungers and a bocce court are there for leisurely days; for nighttime entertainment, there’s an outdoor kitchen, alfresco dining, and a fire pit rendered in modernist-worthy concrete.

Sliding glass walls let the desert sunshine and air into rooms appointed by celebrity designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard. Marble accents continue from the outdoors in, while high ceilings and an open-concept layout show off the home’s classic bone structure. Low-profile sculptural furniture keeps the focus on the views in the main living areas, but patterns are let out to play in the bathrooms.

Once a favored desert retreat for Hollywood stars, Old Las Palmas is still an enclave of well-preserved homes—and it’s not far from some of the chicest spots in Palm Springs. Walk to Palm Canyon Drive and the Step inside this mid-century gem to find soaring windows and terrazzo floors that flood the home with natural light. The open-plan living spaces are designed for connection and comfort, with stylish yet relaxed furnishings and a mirrored bar perfect for pre-dinner cocktails. The fully equipped chef’s kitchen features a professional range, generous counter space, and everything you need for memorable meals.

🎨 Curated Art Collection
Commissioned works by Chris Trueman, Natasha Law, and Peter Gronquist—whose custom light box transforms the room at night—are complemented by pieces from Amanda Manitach, Christopher Boffoli, and photographer Deb Achak. Each room tells its own story, turning your stay into a gallery-like experience.
