Fourteen acres to roam, spread out your wings, and regain some inner peace. Verdant views from the loft in the double-sized bed. Newly constructed private half bath below & shower house is open. Private fire pit, propane grill, open large deck in the trees. (Note: A 220 lb weight restriction on the ladder and max ceiling height approx 5’9” upstairs in loft.)

The space
We have implemented a commitment to sanitizing after every guest by using approved sanitation cleaning solutions and by using a Medisan UV-C Sanitizing Tower, which treats the entire treehouse and bathroom with a blast of UV-C rays which kills 99.9% of bacteria, germs, and viruses. We are also committed to use social distancing with our guests which includes wearing face masks and gloves while preparing for your stay.
This unique treehouse is a great getaway for nature lovers or those looking to do social distancing in style. There are many walkways through Douglas firs, cedars, hemlocks and rhododendrons as well as back wood paths that meander though grand firs and old growth of a few hundred years. In the spring, a ceremony of frogs lull you to sleep, summer months bring cool nights out on the wrap around deck. Autumn leaves from maples measure as wide as 18" and winter brings sometimes a rare, magical snowfall.

This is an experience, not a hotel. On windy nights, you will feel the treehouse sway. Everyday amenities are a little different--even the walk to the treehouse itself is a little journey. The treehouse half bathroom was built around the base of a large cedar and is just at the foot of the treehouse with a composting toilet and sink with hot water. Near the parking area, you will find our new beautiful outdoor cedar shower house, which has skylights to showcase the trees above it and is available when temperatures are above freezing. The shower house is a shared facility with our camping guests. We have designated specific hours for each group of guests so we may sanitize in between shifts. Tree house shower hours are from 9-5 pm daily, unless there are no camping guests at the time, making it available 24/hours daily.

Your stay includes a private fire pit with two bundles of pre-cut wood (additional bundles are $6/bundle), tv with Amazon Fire Stick and an electric fireplace to keep you toasty warm. Upstairs you’ll find Alexa so you can stream your own music or use Apple Music. Just say, “Alexa! Play —— ” or ask her "Alexa, what is the weather today?"
On the deck and in the outdoor food prep area are two large coolers to keep your food and beverages fresh. There is a double sink with hot water, a filtered water spigot, and propane grill. We do supply basic cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, glasses, wine opener, coffee, and condiments.

Other things to note: The treehouse is approximately 190 sq ft. This treehouse is difficult to maneuver for large or tall persons, or persons with mobility challenges. The bed is a full size, and the ladder leading to the bedroom loft has a max weight limit of 220 lbs. The loft height is approx 5’9” at its highest. We are a strict non-smoking site, that includes the outdoors and woods. If the treehouse smells of smoke —even by association of smoking in your vehicle, it will still permeate in the fibers of the treehouse. There is an extra $400 cleaning fee for smoke scent removal of the treehouse. (Very difficult when dealing with natural fibers and tree bark.)
Composting toilet: ALL MUST SIT! Sit until you feel the seat compress. You will hear/feel a little click. This is the back sliding door of the bowl opening to allow solid waste and paper to enter. If you do not follow these instructions and cause liquid to enter the back compost compartment, or damage the blue sliding door by not allowing it to be open during use, which then damages the door by having waste collect on it, you may be charged the following: $75 extra cleaning fee, $200 for sliding door bowl replacement and labor.
Wood countertops and wood surfaces: no hot pans or coffee pots, wet towels on wood surfaces. We do supply a cutting board for food prepping and we do supply hooks for wet towels. Help us keep things in tip top shape and protect their finish.
Lastly, bed linen staining. If the sheets are stained, you may be charged any or all of the following: $100 for sheet replacement, $100 for pad replacement, and $200 for comforter replacement.

We do host small weddings on occasion, so please inquire for details to set up a preview appt.

Guest access
Due to a continuous request for early check in and late check outs, check in is NO sooner than 4pm and check out is no later than 11am. If you wish for additional time, we suggest staying an additional day.

Private guest access to gravel driveway and parking area marked with wooden sign Larkin Place located just prior to the main resident paved driveway. (Please do not enter resident paved driveway. You will not be able to turn around and backing out is difficult.)
Guests have access to 14 acres of trails throughout old growth woods. Shared outdoor shower with camping guests May - Sept. Private half bath at bottom of treehouse.
