Kahaluʻu Bay is just minutes away and is one of the island’s best places for snorkeling. Calm, shallow waters and a sheltered reef make it a safe and colorful spot for beginners and seasoned snorkelers alike. Sea turtles are frequent visitors here, and you’ll find vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish just steps from the shore. For surfers, the northern end of the bay offers a popular surf break where you can watch or join the locals riding waves.

The sunny Kona District is famous for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant culture, and historic landmarks such as Huliheʻe Palace, Mokuʻaikaua Church, and Ahuʻena Heiau—all just about 8 miles south of Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport. Kona is also a hub for world-class deep-sea fishing, hosting the prestigious International Billfish Tournament each August, and is home to the iconic IRONMAN World Championship every October. In the cooler upland slopes, you’ll find the legendary Kona coffee farms, where the island’s most celebrated beans are grown.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of daily activities, from snorkeling, scuba diving, and paddleboarding to simply relaxing on the sand while spinner dolphins and Hawaiian green sea turtles pass by. Along lively Aliʻi Drive, explore oceanfront restaurants, boutique shops, and bars where you can take in stunning sunsets with a cocktail in hand.
Just south of Kailua-Kona lies Keauhou Bay, the birthplace of King Kamehameha III. This picturesque bay is perfect for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and snorkeling. By evening, it transforms into one of the island’s most magical places, where manta rays glide gracefully beneath the surface—a truly unforgettable Big Island experience.

Holiday reservations are non-refundable and non-changeable. To ensure a seamless and celebratory stay, we have the following requirements in place:
Stays spanning both Christmas and New Year’s require a minimum of 10 nights.
For stays that do not include both holidays, check-in or check-out must take place between December 26 – 29.
