The space
Designed by FONDAMENTA, Villa FO is settled between the Iblei mountains and the sea. It develops through an irregular form that bends between the rocks of this specific agricultural area. It arises from the landscape, reacts to it, and becomes a whole with it, creating an intimate yet silent relationship.

The guest will discover that domesticated space and nature merge in a continuous dialogue and create a respectful symbiosis. One can expect to live the space outside more than the inside. The property is nested on top of the hill with private caves and patterns to immerse in the land fully. At sunrise and sunset the long views on the sea, the mountains and the Noto Cathedral become dreamlike.

The space is a single floor divided into two staggered levels clearly distinguishes the night zone from the daytime area, also through orientation.

The walls and flooring are made of Noto stone, a native rock with a golden-yellow color with which the late Baroque cities of Eastern Sicily were rebuilt.

The stone coverings of the bathrooms, including the shelves, are made of Modica stone, another native Val di Noto stone but this time found on the countryside level of the Ibleo plateau.
