"An excellent place for all to simply relax and enjoy the location and surrounding area. Visit some truly spectacular places, there are plenty of walks right on the doorstep including a path to the Grand Etang, this lake is one of the largest and most beautiful bodies of water in the department. Easy access to Nontron, famous for knife manufacture and the cities of Angouleme, Perigueux and Limoges are all equidistant with the latter being the closest airport at around an hours drive.

Very well presented cozy detached gîte, with character and gorgeous views across the countryside of the Périgord National Park. A perfect retreat amongst the wildlife, ideally located midway between Limoges and Angoulême and close to the Leisure Lakes of The Charente/Haute-Vienne. We spent a truly memorable fortnight in this most magical of settings – our best Airbnb experience to date! The cottage is gorgeous inside and out. Inside, the accommodation is spacious, incredibly comfortable and finished to a high standard with taste and thought. Outside, the garden is lovely and completely private, with gorgeous views (securely fenced all round so doggies are safe). The cottage is situated in a setting that is tranquil, steeped in nature, but not at all isolated. We could walk the short distance to the local hamlet of St Estephe where there is a fantastic bakery and lovely little café/bar. There is a large supermarket a short drive away in Nontron (which also has a fantastic gym with very reasonable day rates). Most of all, we enjoyed a level of hospitality that is second to none - Angus is the perfect host, personable, approachable and unfailingly helpful (and Bella is the most adorable and friendly doggy). The perfect holiday!

Completely refurbished, particularly cozy accommodation. Located on the ground floor with an immediate car location in the plot itself. The cottage/apartment is located in the town center with shops accessible in a few steps (pharmacy, bakery, etc.). Good quality bedding and quiet environment. Friendly and responsive host. Perfect for a stay, even a long one. I'll go back if I have a chance.

Myself and my family have just spent a fabulous week at the chalet. It was so peaceful and perfect to unwind. The walks around the lake and the area were beautiful. The added bonus was that we could also fish in the lake and the fish are stunning. Florence is a very good host nothing is too much to ask, and we really enjoyed our tour around the mill. We will definitely be back soon.

Olivier is a responsive and welcoming host, the Tour Carré is a charming cottage ideal for a weekend with friends. We were 3 families, we each had a floor with bathroom and toilet. The common areas are very pleasant from the living room dining room, not to mention the roof top with exceptional views and the garden: a real gem!!!
