The Harriet House is a restored 1956 ranch style house in Pioneertown, named after one of it’s previous owners Harriet Allen of the infamous Pappy & Harriet’s. The HH has fantastic hikes and bouldering just a few hundred feet away from our dirt road. We are 20 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, but guests love our property so much they don’t often venture out. The HH is the perfect boho ranch house to experience the beauty and awe of Joshua Tree!

I can see why Danka’s place is the highest rated in the area 🥹 Bountiful amenities in thoughtful and convenient places, just like I like to stock my home. Very secluded and safe neighborhood that makes it perfect for stargazing. Very smooth and easy drive as well :) Danka even included a handmade guide with her favorite things to do in the area! As this is one of my favorite Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at in my lifetime, I wanted to gatekeep, but a beautiful place like this deserves to be spotlighted and shared.

The handcrafted structure sits harmoniously within the surrounding desert landscape, featuring large glass windows that illuminate the interior. A covered porch extends along the front, providing a space for outdoor seating, while the vibrant colors of dusk paint the sky in soft gradients.

I almost don’t want to recommend Hondo House because I want to keep it a secret all for myself. I have stayed in several Pioneer town rentals, but nothing like this— a special property for those looking for true peace and solitude. This is a rare find. I will be back as soon as I can!!
