I had a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb! The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive from the moment I booked. The space was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and well-decorated. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Finding a place is slightly troublesome but we had fun driving around the neighborhood. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay!

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! Completely matched the description and photos. The king sized bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in, kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and the hot tub was so nice and relaxing with the beautiful scenery. It’s in the perfect location for everything and right down the road is a cute little place where you can buy cheap firewood or feed goats for 25 cents. Katie is absolutely the perfect host! Very responsive, friendly and extremely accommodating. I would highly recommend staying at any of her rentals for Katie alone. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

Simmer Down was a nice, quiet place to unwind for a couple's getaway. We had a great time.

Both Airbnb hosts, Lisa & Dennis, were very responsive to any/all questions we had. Home amenities were as advertised. We didn't partake in the treats our hosts left for us: a basket of S'Mores fixings, individual snacks and bottled water (which we drank), the personal touch was much appreciated. Our group of 4 (2 male fishing partners & a husband-wife team) found the bedroom arrangement a little curious, but we worked it out just fine. There is a small bedroom (double bed?) INSIDE the master suite (king size bed) with a bathroom - which is very nice. Bedroom #3 is upstairs (Queen size bed). So hubby & I took the upstairs quarters. I had a yoga spot up there as well as a balcony. The back deck is where we spent our evenings & used the pellet grill to cook dinner. Being unaware how long the grill (super nice - electric) required to heat up to temp, you'll start it sooner than you would a charcoal grill. Neighbor dogs were friendly & hung out with us on the front porch. Yes we'll return

This place is absolutely perfect! Host is wonderful and left handwritten note upon arrival. The house is spotless, has privacy, and close to hiking trails. It is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway and we will definitely be back! -Lora and Jonah

We loved our stay. It was clean and comfortable. In spite of loss of electricity due to a storm on the first night, the host contacted us to let us know where emergency lanterns and candkes were. We would definitely recommend.

This Airbnb was an absolute gem! The location was unbeatable—close to everything we wanted to see and do, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. The space itself was beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we walked in. On top of all that, the price was perfect for the quality and location! If I had to mention one small drawback, it would be that the mattresses were a bit firm for our taste. That said, it certainly wouldn’t stop us from coming back. We had a wonderful experience overall and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We found Carolyn’s place to be peaceful. The view of the lake is beautiful from the back porch. The house is clean. We were communicated with very well. She even checked to make sure we arrived okay and asked if we needed anything. She gave great instructions on finding the house. We would recommend this home to others if they are looking for a peaceful stay. The house is not far from some great distilleries as that is one of the reasons we came to visit. The surrounding areas are incredibly beautiful. Grocery stores are not far as well. We would visit again.

Enjoyed getting to stay in cabin and explore the property at Houstondale. Loved all the Horses there and also the pool area was very nice. Jessica was an Awesome host and made us feel right at home, very accessible and friendly! Very Beautiful location and would recommend to any guest if they are looking for a nice getaway.

It was a great place to stay pool is on smaller side but worked great with the two kids. Game room was great had fun playing shuffle board and cornhole. All the arcade games worked. Hot tub was great and had a nice set up by the pool. Fenced in pool/lounge area. Not many outside bugs and only had a some ants but that is expected staying in the country. We had the toilet handle break just from wear and tear and they sent a plumber out first thing next day to fix it. Great response time from the host. Over all a great place close enough to red river gorge to explore. Will be a place we stay at again.

The cabin was beautiful, the host was very responsive to anything that I needed. When I checked in I noticed quite a few dead lady bugs (apparently they are bad this time of year) I called and they had a housekeeper there within the hour! That was above and beyond. The cabin is beautiful and well decorated, it feels very homey and comfortable.

We have stayed at Jenny and Justin’s place multiple times. Whenever we are looking for a quick getaway, it is an easy choice. It is comfortable, serene and close to everything. We always enjoy our trips here!

Great place! Enjoyed the cabin vibe. That being said it is a cabin so mattresses are as such and make sure to bring your pillows, blankets, sheets, towels etc. Awesome setup with playground, games, and pool for kids. Though we didn’t get the time to enjoy them all everything seemed in tip top shape. Bathhouse was well maintained and clean. Overall though our stay was short, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Host was very communicative and a pleasure to speak to.

Our group of 12 thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cabin. It was actually better than we thought as 5 of the six bedrooms had their own en suite bathroom. Really comfortable and plenty of room for all 12 of us - we did not feel like we were on top of each other. The outside space was wonderful. Very private with abundant wildlife. Everyone in the group was unanimous in how much we loved the place. It was out in the country but we felt it was a good central location to hit much of the bourbon trail. Well worth the drive. A comment on John's communication - we did lose power one evening with severe storms rolling through the area. I messaged John and he was quick in his response. He contacted the power company and power was restored within a couple of hours.

My partner & I loved staying here, the property was super lovely & the host was very nice & helpful while still giving us some privacy! Cabin itself was everything we needed, super cozy in there. The dogs were definitely a bonus, loved hanging out with them while we were here! We’ll definitely be back!

This place greatly exceeded our expectations! Beautiful cabin with very spacious kitchen and open concept living room made for very relaxed gatherings of everyone in the house at one time. Gravel driveway is well kept and smooth. And some of the best parking we've ever experienced. Easily parked 9 vehicles with room to spare for many more. Cabin was very clean, and host was responsive and accommodating. We would love to stay here again!

We had a great time, the place was in secluded area far from noise, except for cows mooing in the distance, birds chirping and wind blowing through the trees...very peaceful. We traveled around the area, when to Paris for lunch. Our dog loved all the room to roam about the property.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The home was beautiful and peaceful. Anything you might need was provided and more. Beds were so inviting and the wrap around porch and friendly neighboring dogs made it a magical wooded getaway. Cannot wait to return. If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would.

My husband and I enjoyed a much needed getaway with plenty of solitude at Sandy’s cabin. Gratefully, we found the red cabin was available and met all of our criteria on short notice including welcoming our furry friend as well. We live in an urban area so the quiet of the cabin and surrounding farmland was amazing. Mostly all we heard over the weekend were the birds and crickets. Very peaceful! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One cooler morning we even enjoyed the coziness and warmth of the gas stove for a couple hours! We’d love to return for another stay down the road!

We had such an amazing stay at this property. The location was convenient, easy to find, and close by all the attractions we wanted to visit. The cabin was beautiful, clean, tastefully decorated, and I was pleased with all of the supplies available in the kitchen. Importantly, the beds were VERY comfortable. We also loved the fire pit beside the house and the seating on the back balcony. Chris and Allison were great hosts and very responsive. I would highly recommend this property, and we hope to return one day.
