Vacation rentals in Ribeira das Tainhas

We stayed 9 days at Francisco's apartment. From start to finish everything was top notch. There were welcome treats waiting for us to enjoy. A great find for us. Communications pre booking were excellent. During our stay, our questions were answered within 10 minutes and very helpful. Waking up, walking out the front door and seeing the ocean and the island were perfect. The apartment had everything one could need and was extremely clean. The beds were very, very comfortable, the shower was outstanding and the kitchen was well stocked. The decor was pleasing Parking was available, the walk to the marina was pleasant, three restaurants close by plus 3 other smaller places and walking to 2 grocery stores was easy. The larger grocery store involved driving with a car. We cooked most nights and made sandwiches for our day trips but it was nice to know that restaurants were nearby. We can't say enough about our stay on the island and at Francisco's. A perfect find .

My parents and I had a wonderful stay at Alain’s apartment in Vila Franca do Campo. The view from both balconies was stunning and completely unobstructed. The apartment was immaculate and had everything we needed. It was clearly recently renovated, with a fresh, modern, and spotless feel throughout. There was plenty of parking available along the seawall, just a short two-minute walk from the apartment. Being right next to a fishing port added to the charm and authenticity of the location—we really enjoyed watching the fishermen return with their daily catch.

We are so sad to leave this beautiful place! The house’s description is very accurate to the T: perfect location- you will be able to explore the island easily, 4 equally sized bedrooms with a pullout as an extra, kitchen with all the utensils, pots, glasses, ect. Our favorite part was the rooftop deck with sunrises and sunrises! The host graciously made the reservations for local restaurants and recommended some extra activities that we didn’t include in our original plans. The communication was easy - usually reply came in 30 min. We would happily recommend this place to our friends and hopefully come back soon. Note: the house has lots of stairs that can create problems for people with limited mobility. It was not an issue for us but it might be an issue for some.

A fully renovated farmhouse with high quality materials. Very comfy beds. Accessible banana garden. Beautiful country trails. Rental 5 min from all services. Bucolic setting. Songs of birds and roosters. Vila Franca do Campo is an IDEAL destination: in a week we were able to catch them all from the island, thanks to the location of the casa. Around the airport too. Outdoor terrace perfect for breakfasts. Great outdoor shower after the beach.

The apartment was very clean and super well-equipped for a pleasant stay. Located in a quiet corner where there are few passers-by, there are restaurants, spectacular views and everything you need in the area. Not to mention the host who is an extremely friendly lady who helped us find our way around the city.

It is a very beautiful and not long time ago restored to various apartments. It has an enclosed courtyard for the cars and through this courtyard you get to the shared pool. Our apartment was ground floor and was fully equipped in the kitchen and living room.

Our time spent in São Miguel would not have been the same if we stayed anywhere other than here! The home was perfect for myself, my best friend, and my grandma. We loved spending our mornings sipping coffee and eating breakfast in the dining room while looking the gorgeous ocean view, and spent so much time on the little balcony at the edge of the backyard. It was so peaceful and really felt like home for the week! It was in a perfect central location so we were able to explore every side of the island with no more than an hour drive. We also really enjoyed how “not touristy” the neighborhood was because it gave us a taste of what living in São Miguel was really like. I will say, the roads are very narrow and the parking rules are different than what we are used to, so that took a little adjustment but we had no problem figuring it out! Emily was a fantastic host, super responsive and very friendly. Could not recommend this place more!
