If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The pictures on AirBnB of the grounds and lake looked too good to be true. It was even better than that! It's your own personal wildlife refuge. I came to south Texas for all of the famous birding national refuges, state parks, etc. (which really were amazing!) Yet, I found myself wanting to get back early each night to The Birdhouse on the Rio just to see what I could find. An amazing cast of characters live there and many other guest stars come for a visit! Even if you're not a birder and just enjoy nature, there are more peaceful places to sit outside at The Birdhouse than the inside of most homes. If that's not enough, the house is just about perfect and the owners are so welcoming and thoughtful. That was the best rental at which I've stayed. A huge thank you to the owners for doing their part in providing a natural habitat for all of our feathered and furry friends... and sharing it with us.

Nice place to stay. The pool was a huge plus & the area around the pool was so cute. We had a good bbq & were able to make smores as well. Would stay again!

This was about my 4th time staying at Juan’s space. I always feel like I am transported to a different magical place. Juan’s place is clean and organized. He’s a very responsive host. The pool is nice and clean and is our favorite part. Not to mention the privacy.

We felt right at home. Really nice and cozy. Big huge TVs, beautiful kitchen. Glad they had coffee. That’s a must. Everything was clean and the beds were soft. We were able to sleep peacefully. I was able to jog the neighborhood every morning and felt save. They also had lots of games for the kids. My kids also really enjoyed their bunk beds. We will definitely return.

The house was great is a really worth renting for my families short stay. we loved how there was a pet friendly area where we could take our dog as well.

It was an awesome stay ! Really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and relaxing on the pool. ! Recommend 10 out 10 definitely will book again if possible!

When I first drove into the neighborhood I was worried because there was a lot of cars parked outside of the home, so I appreciate all the security cameras and the monitor in the kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet which was great, didn’t really see any of the neighbors. The pool and backyard felt very private and and it was great that there was already a grill there. Check in was easy, didn’t really need to contact host because everything was there. I appreciated the pool toys and gear, my kids loved them. I also liked the outdoor restroom and shower. Also this is out of their control but there was a big store that created a bit of flooding in the area, the house didn’t flood and the power didn’t go out even when the news reported that the power went out for many people in the town. We are grateful for the stay and would book again! Thank you so much

I travel to McAllen for business frequently and most of the time I stay at a hotel. This time my family members wanted to travel with me so I decided to rent this home. The home did not disappoint, it has plenty of space for our family group of ten. Near the attractions McAllen, Texas has to offer.

I stayed here for 11 nights and had a great experience from start to finish. The place was very clean and exactly like the photos. The bed was super comfortable, and I appreciated the little touches like fresh towels, toiletries, and a coffee maker. The location was perfect—quiet at night but still close to restaurants and shops. The host was easy to communicate with and even checked in to make sure everything was going well. I felt safe the entire time, and check-in/check-out was smooth and simple. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free stay. Would definitely book again!

I think it is one of the best places where you can stay in Reynosa, very central, also Paloma is very friendly, and supports you with whatever you need , I would undoubtedly meet Paloma again.

For people traveling for health to Reynosa (HGR270) it has the perfect location

Nancy’s place was beautiful and extremely clean. Very spacious. Small minor inconveniences of not having a TV in the living room, and the hot water took a bit to come on when showering, but overall this was a wonderful stay and would stay here again.
