How to choose who to welcome first

Start hosting with an experienced guest or anyone on Airbnb.

As a new host, you get to choose the type of guest who can be the first to stay at your place. Select whether you’d like to welcome:

  • Any Airbnb guest. This can be anyone who’s a member of our community, including newcomers.
  • An experienced guest. This is someone with a good track record of at least 3 stays on Airbnb and no bad reviews.

Choosing any Airbnb guest can help you get your first reservation faster, because it opens the door to more potential guests searching for places to stay.

Given their track record, an experienced guest may provide helpful feedback about their stay with you.

Both options are great choices. Simply pick the one that works best for you.

All booking guests are required to complete our identity verification process. AirCover for Hosts provides top-to-bottom protection every time you welcome guests.
