Spacious family home

AsafRating, 5 stars34 months ago
Lutsen's place was perfect. We arrived via public transportation, and there's a bus station near Reduzum, which is 5 minutes walk from the house. The house is spacious, very comfortable and well equipped, the private access to the river with Lutsen's SAP is fun convenient, they also kindly allowed us to use their bike, which fit our kids as well. We will happily stay there again when we'll arrive to the area in the future!
The exterior of a wooden cabin showcases a modern design with a sloped roof and a spacious porch. Large glass doors framed in dark wood lead into the interior, surrounded by greenery. A gravel pathway guides guests toward the entrance, offering a sense of connection to the natural surroundings.

Stay with Femke with panoramic views & garden

JosRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Upon arrival, the host, Femke, was outside to welcome us and show us the way. We had a nice conversation, her husband also joined. A nice, welcoming couple with a nice guest house in the back of the garden. Everything you need is there, a spacious bed, sofa, chairs and table, kitchen, shower with toilet, and everything neat. View of the polder, a few seats outside under a small canopy, fine. We had booked because of the Fietselfstedentocht, but a few days or more is good to keep. Femke had also mentioned that there was a restaurant in the village, which is also recommended, hospitable and tasty food. All in all very happy with our (short) stay, thank you again Femke.

Historical bakery in Wergea close to Leeuwarden

GeraldRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Bert's house is indeed in a 300+ year old charming bakery. When you enter you'll be stunned by Bert's wonder full (as in full of wonder) collection: beautiful antiques, Louis the XIV gilt frames, mounted stags heads, heaps and heaps of baubles and candles. Then photos of Bert's current family and perhaps long dead and stern ancestors; dolls and figurines. Whimsical with an edge. Stepping through the looking glass! But when things settle down, you'll find a beautiful and comfortable home. The kitchen is sleek and incredibly equipped. The dining table is solid and large, yet cozy. And a great shower! The village of Wergea is like a dream with small and interesting vintage homes along a canal. Perfect for walking. To complete the package there is a Michelin starred restaurant and an adjoining excellent restaurant (and a pizzeria) just a 5 minute stroll away. All in all simply grand!

Generous family home in the heart of Friesland.

Jennifer & ViktorRating, 5 stars34 months ago
Afke's house is new, modern, very clean, the kitchen was very well equipped, there were many rooms for sleeping, the beds were comfy and overall it was nicely decorated and had lots of space. Both inside as well as outside in the garden. We stayed here for a week and can definitely recommend it. The best part of our stay were the many toys our kids could play with inside, but also outside (trampoline, sandbox, gymnastic rings, climbing/slide, etc.). The neighborhood is very calm and quiet, there is private parking on their own property and in front of the house for multiple cars potentially. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The location is perfect with a car, close to Leeuwarden and all the other sights and villages in Friesland. We brought our bikes, and found that there are many wonderful bike lanes and paths all around. In the village (Reduzum) itself there is not really a supermarket, but in the next village there is. We would love to stay in again in this house if we ever visit Friesland again.

We had a very nice stay at the Pipowagen! Quiet location in the countryside, perfect for exploring the area by bike and relaxing. The accommodation is super equipped and very cozy, so we felt very comfortable even on a rainy day. Communication with Marrit was straightforward and very accommodating - we will be happy to come back! ❤️
