Martas place was cosy and fabulous . we had the swimming pool which was so welcome after a long ride on the Motobike . Her and her brother are fantastic young adults who have restored our faith in young people today. They make and sell honey and showed us their hives. We bought some to come home with . We stayed as a couple with a small dog for 6 nights in Aida's accommodation. Aida is a great host and was always available to us. The house has charm and great views. However, we would have booked the house two days less if we had known in advance that on the last two days there would still be craft activities at their neighboring house (owned by the family). Otherwise, it's a great quiet oasis to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommend.

Dear Hortensia, We had a very good Holy Week at your house. The house is beautiful and does not lack any detail. We were very comfortable and felt right at home from the moment you came out to greet us and show us where the house was. Your kindness, affection and goodness have made our stay an incredible experience. You even invited us to eat roast chicken at your house and gave us typical local products to try. The house was pristine when we arrived and it had everything. Beds made, new towels, fresh oranges, bread, honey and all with a smile and very good manners. We enjoyed watching them make a bun in the "forno" and they explained where to go and where to eat. A sweetheart. I recommend this house 100% especially because of Hortensia's warmth. He even gave me a typical Portuguese tablecloth. Amazing stay and wonderful owner. Thank you very much, Hortensia.

Well located accommodation to explore the Upper Douro as well as the Northeast region... its olive groves, olive cooperative, Chaves, Braganca and of course the Upper Douro its quintas (by the river, its beautiful landscapes by different roads) delighted to have taken the time to discover this beautiful corner of Portugal!
