Beautiful Hideaway in the hills of trás os montes

This place is our sacred go-to spot when we want to get out of the city and immerse ourselves in nature. This place has special significance for our family because it was here that as a child, we would spend whole days watching over the cows, reading and dreaming as the sun moved across the sky towards dusk. We have recently completed renovations, adding solar & central heating and we would love to share it with people who are looking for a unique experience in an unexplored region of Portugal.

With the interior space refurbished but maintaining the exterior facades, it has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Apimonte Cantinho da Maria is a fully rebuilt house in 2022. Traditional architecture, the rigorous use of materials, Pedra, Madeira and Granites were considered the key elements during rebuilding. The Shale (local stone), the charm of the wood and its architecture decorate the entire building. Functional and well-equipped, the kitchen is an important element. Village is between three important points Spain (5min), Bragança ( 12min) and Miranda do Douro (25min). In this place it is possible to recharge where the only noise is that of Nature. Possibility of being Trasmontano, getting to know its gastronomies and can even cook our dishes and products, Bread, Matches, Sausages and the many traditional dishes made in Pote. Take the Bike and get to Spain in 10min as well as a Basilica 5min and a Roman Bridge.
