There is a mini split that keeps the yurt cool in the summer and warm in the winter. As well as a pellet stove for that extra warmth in the winter months.

The Bitterroot Valley, Montana is known for its rich ranching history and is sandwiched between the Bitterroot and Sapphire mountains. The Valley is still full of horses, cattle, abundant wildlife, and hiking trails into the mountains - most of them bordering roaring creeks or rivers. The Little Red Barn studio is a modern farmhouse-style space where you can relax, enjoy the mountain views, and say hello to your neighbors (two horses and a donkey). The Cottage is a delightful retreat in the foothills of the gorgeous Bitterroot Mountains, 2 miles outside of Hamilton, Montana. We are a family of four living the good life on our small working farm and The Cottage is our vacation rental nestled into the center of our property. Complete with it's own driveway and nicely fenced off from the rest of the busy goings on of the barnyard, it is separate from our space, but animal sights and sounds are sometimes a part of the experience.
