The Auenlandhof is a valued 250-year-old four-sided farmhouse in Upper Hesse, renovated with a lot of love from February 2018 to June 2019. Less than 40 kilometers as the crow flies from Frankfurt/Main, our farm is located on the edge of Dauernheim. Located on the Wetterauer Auenverbund, along the Nidda; a glacier valley from primeval times on the back of Europe's largest extinct volcanic landscape, today's Hoher Vogelsberg Nature Park. Linens and towels are provided.

Apartment is very spacious. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and bathtub and very large. Here you can relax, experience relaxing days in harmony with a wonderful nature. All rooms with kitchen and bathroom can be fully used. In the vicinity you will find great hiking routes, reservoirs, Europe's largest extinguished volcano and even a swimming pool nearby on foot. A thermal bath with salt cave is 13 km away (Bad Salzhausen).

Markus is a very friendly, helpful and responsive host. I enjoyed alot staying at his place. The property is very beautiful, plus the area (Glauburg) is extremely relaxing, peaceful and has numerous breath taking sceneries. I totally recommend staying here at Markus's place. You'll definitely enjoy & love it.

We were looking for a place to stay for a spontaneous short trip to the countryside and found exactly what we were looking for at Guido and Cerstin's. It is a quiet place, which was nice for us, but by car you can also quickly get to the small villages in the area that have something to offer culturally, as well as paths for hiking or walking. Excellent

Unfortunately, we only had 2 nights...we felt very comfortable, were warmly welcomed, and guided through the apartment so that you could feel right at home. Everything was very lovingly and high-quality furnished, we lacked nothing and we enjoyed the sauna very much. Sibylle and Heinz are super nice people. We would come back at 🥰

The cozy one

Even the communication in advance was very pleasant. Friendly, helpful and straightforward. The apartment was super nicely decorated and absolutely clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed very cozy. There are pots of different sizes and enough (very nice) dishes. The flexible check-in/check-out was easy thanks to the lockbox. The hostess even gave us a jar of jam as a small welcome gift!! Andrea gave us several tips for activities, including the café opposite and we can only pass on this recommendation! Otherwise, the apartment is in a rather remote location, which, however, still has bus connections. This means you can quickly get to the countryside :) All in all, we had a super pleasant and cozy short trip in this really nice apartment and can only recommend it!!
