Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Rangitikei District

We had a great stay at Richard's place. It was very easy to find and just across the road from the shuttle for the Alpine Crossing. The house is immaculate and just like the pictures. it warms up very quickly and there is lots of firewood. The kitchen was really nice, lots of cookware. The beds were really comfy too. The hot tub spa was wonderful after a long wet walk!Richard went the extra mile helping us retrieve a forgotten item. Just sorry we couldn't stay longer!

Fabulous place to stay, has everything you need for a weekend away. Beautifully clean and well presented, host was very responsive, would stay again next time we’re in the area.

Absolutely loved our stay at Andrew’s, it was so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful native bush, meaning the bird life was bountiful. The house was everything we needed, the fireplaces made us feel at home and cozy. Communication was great, and Catherine was super helpful and always available for questions. We’ll be back for sure!!

Raylee’s home was truly exceptional. It was peaceful, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful touches that made our stay unforgettable. The views of Mt Ruapehu were stunning, especially from the hot tub, and every detail in the home reflected care and comfort. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped, the beds were luxuriously comfortable, and the space was spotless, warm, and welcoming. We loved the blend of modern convenience with nature’s beauty and the easy access to trails, town, and the mountain. Raylee was an outstanding host who was responsive, kind, and full of local insight. This was more than just accommodation. It was a deeply nourishing and restful experience. Every moment felt spacious and grounding and we left feeling so grateful. We would return in a heartbeat. Absolutely five stars in every way. Thank you Raylee for your aroha and generosity. Andy was a very responsive and proactive host which made us feel relaxed and reassured to reach out if needed. The home was as described and suited our needs perfectly. The view was just glorious and the location fantastic!

Great home for families with good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. The living space was very comfortable, and the addition of a range of family boardgames was great. The home is set in a quiet tranquil area overlooking forest/bush which provided lovely walks. Easy 10mins walk to Carrotland which is an an awesome adventure playground and activity area with pump track, bike tracks, playground etc. Our 7yr old loved it. We had some issues with running water when we arrived but Charlotte was super responsive and helpful and it was all resolved within an hour...and Charlotte provided a wee gift basket (nibbles and wine) in acknowledgement of our being slightly put out. Charlotte was very thoughtful and responsive in managing the whole issue. We will absolutely stay again. It was a lovely comfortable home.

Easy check in and had everything we needed! Stayed here after the Whanganui journey and the night before/after walking the Tongariro Crossing, really appreciated the washing machine, spa, and drying room! Great value place and close to lots of nice restaurants and bars in Ohakune

Nice and big house in a quiet area. Kitchen very well equipped. Washing machine available. But the best for us: a fireplace in the living room with plenty of wood. Good base for doing the amazing Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We'd have liked a shelve in the bathroom and more furniture in the bedroom (only a bed, not any small tables)

Nice stay for our ski trip to Turoa, only 20 mins drive! Although kitchen has got all facilities but we have been dine out for 2 days for the locals tho the kitchen was left as it was. This 2 bedrooms unit with kitchen and bathroom facilities are just good enough for our family of 4! Dion was easy and friendly to communicated. The hot tub next door within less than 1 minutes walk is a great bonus for a full day after ski! Will come back for the next skip season!

Private, warm apartment at the Powderhorn end of town. We were inside for the majority of our two nights in Ohakune due to the weather but we were so comfortable and made use of the fully equipped kitchen. Thanks Dion for your great communication. We would stay again.

What a fantastic place! Very well set up with everything you need for a short or long stay. So comfortable and homey. We were just one couple but it also would be super for a large family group. It can sleep a lot of people comfortably and the communal space is large, like what you would find in a lodge. Great location. We walked up from the train and were able to walk to dinner and to some nice trails.

We loved Vonny's place! It was in a great location, very close to places to eat but far enough from the main highway that it was lovely and quiet. Having the fire was an added bonus because it was COLD when we got there. It didn't take long for the apartment to warm up and it stayed toasty even after the fire went out. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. Would absolutely love to stay again but for longer next time.

Our apartment was very comfortable. We enjoyed the gas fire place. Great to have a full kitchen. We also appreciated having such convenient parking.
