Great house! The beds were very comfortable, and the complimentary coffee was nice. It was a couple minute walk to the northern slopes, but not too bad.

We had a great stay! Really nice to have ski on ski off property for a long weekend. We were super bummed the hot tub wasn’t working but that didn’t keep us from having a good time.

Unwind at Quiet Snow - Mountain Retreat w/ Hot Tub

JackRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Enjoyed my stay. Building is one half of a 2 unit townhome but felt very private, both inside and out. Hot tub and fireplace both were easy to work with clear instructions for hot tub use. Place was clean and cozy with comfortable beds. Location was convenient to the ski areas, and a nice view of Timberline was available through the trees from the back porch or hot tub area. The office for check in was about a 6 minute drive from the property, and check in was hassle free, with a simple pick up and drop off box for the keys. Matt was responded very quickly (less than 10 minutes) to a question I had while driving to the property. Kitchen appliances are a little old but everything is perfectly functional and well stocked in terms of dishes and cookware. It’s a great value and I would recommend to others.
The living area features warm wood paneling and a plush blue couch positioned facing a coffee table. A flat-screen TV is on a side, with an open kitchen in the background showcasing wooden cabinetry and essential appliances. Natural light is present from overhead fixtures.

Stemwinder #6B 1 Bedroom, 1 Full Bath: Slope Side

BradleyRating, 5 stars28 months ago
The entrance is difficult to find since there isn't a roadside sign, but the condo was easy to find and navigate once there. The accommodations say up to four but if it's four full-grown men it might be a little cramped. Overall a good experience, especially with being close to the main ski area and a reasonable walk to the village. The sample of coffee was also a pleasant gift for staying.
A comfortable living area features a gas fireplace surrounded by stone, with a TV mounted nearby. Two green armchairs and a wooden coffee table add a cozy touch. Large windows offer views of the outdoors, enhancing natural light within the space.

Camp 4 #2: 2 BR, 2.5 Bath: Slope Side

StephanieRating, 5 stars16 months ago
We've visited Snowshoe several times, and this was my favorite ski in ski out location! Parking great and the shuttle made going to the village super easy. Cabin was clean and spacious for our family.
Two snowboarders are seated on a snow-covered slope, overlooking a panoramic view of a valley blanketed in snow. Towering evergreens surround the area, while distant ski slopes can be seen in the background, enhancing the winter scenery.

2 Bdrm WV Ski Townhouse!

KatherineRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We booked James’s place at the last minute, and we chose it for the location rather than the accommodation. However, when we arrived we had a wonderful surprise, because it was much nicer than the photos had let us to believe. It was spacious and comfortable, with a good-sized kitchen and a lovely sitting area. The kids loved having the playground outside, and it was amazing to soak in the hot tub surrounded by snow, watching the stars come out. We also enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool and games room, and visiting the ponies at the riding centre. The kids sledded down the hill outside and we also went sledding at Blackwater Falls, which was fantastic. The waterfall looked so beautiful with all the icicles. We didn’t have time to try Timberline, but the skiing at Canaan Valley was reasonably priced and great fun. We also had a few nice meals in Davis and Thomas, and a beautiful walk to Douglas falls. Overall, it was a fabulous stay and we will definitely come again if we can…
A spacious living area features large wooden walls and a stone fireplace, enhancing the warm ambiance. Comfortable red leather sofas are arranged around a coffee table. A mounted flat-screen TV is visible alongside a window offering views of the outdoor scenery.

Powder Monkey #14: 3 Bedrooms, 2 Full Baths

StephenRating, 5 stars16 months ago
We enjoyed our stay at Powder Monkey 14. The location is perfect for ski in/out and the back deck is perfect for hanging out when taking a break from skiing. The only disappointment is the view. In pictures it didn’t seem like such a large mound right behind the unit which restricted the view. However, our kids really enjoyed sliding down the hill so they didn’t care about the view. We would definitely stay again!

We had 4 adults and 6 teenagers. Great bunk room! Made it like camp for the kids. Very comfortable beds in the bedrooms. The mudroom helped keep the ski clutter out of the living area. Fully stocked kitchen. Comfortable couches. Lots of stairs but loved the layout of this 3 story home.

la grotte de ski

TonyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Summit condos are a great option if you want walkable village access without staying in the village. The flight of stairs is pretty long & steep but it’s doable. Otherwise, this is a cozy condo with a nice, open main living area, functional kitchen (for meals in), comfortable beds & a great sunset view from back deck. Owner was very responsive. Very happy with our choice to rent here.

Have stayed here multiple times for Mountain Biking… can’t say enough. Incredibly relaxing and a great stay, whether it’s sunny or rainy, the house just invites you in and lets you unwind. The mud room, washer/dryer, and car port make it perfect for when the WV storms hit and you still get outside. No worries, no mess, just fun.

Condo Slopeside at Timberline, Canaan Valley

We can’t wait to go back!! From before our arrival and during our stay, the hosts were quick to respond to any questions. The location is unmatched. Being steps away from the lodge and bunny slopes was amazing for our group. We could come and go to the house as we wanted for breaks. The lodge was a nice option for last-minute snacks or drinks we needed, like juice and milk for the kids once we ran out. Definitely recommend!

The Mountain Hare at Shamrock

RayRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Maggie's place was incredible! Cozy but spacious. Right at the trails. Minimal walk to the shops and restaurants, or a simple shuttle ride. We preferred the walk though. The mountain views were intense! The sunset was awesome inspiring. Couldn't ask for a better host. Expectations were reasonable and what you would expect. We get much felt right at home and completely unburdened from Maggie's clear instructions and communications. Highly recommend
