Vacation rentals with lake access in Rainy Lake

Was a great weekend getaway. This place is located on a stunning lake. It was perfect to relax sitting next to a fire and enjoy summer. I would highly recommend this property. Also The hosts were fenomenal.

My family and I had such an incredible stay at Jennifer’s lake house. It was the perfect combination of spacious, cozy, and private for us to spend our Christmas week there. The location and wintry weather had us feeling like we were in a snow globe. The house was even decorated for the season, and had more than enough room for the group we had. Makes me excited for the summer months, as I would absolutely book here again!

We stayed at David’s place for two nights with another couple . We enjoyed the beautiful views of Rainy River from the kitchen and sunroom. Although there are other homes nearby it was quiet and peaceful. The kitchen is well stocked with crockpots, utensils etc. The beds were comfy. My sister-in-law said that she hadn’t slept better in 6 months! I fished from the dock for a bit, caught a small northern. There were several boats heading out to bigger water. We were in Baudette for a graduation, so did not bring our boat. The home was very comfortable and very clean.

We greatly enjoyed our week long stay. The location is quiet yet not that far from town. We liked being on the river. Everything was as described. Alisha was very quick to respond.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. We had a great time fishing, eating at various places and traveling the North Shore.

Wonderful stay! The house was just as described and we loved being able to use the kayaks and fire pit. The sunset views here are amazing and the kitchen has everything we needed for cooking. Would definitely stay again!

Wow! It was such a beautiful home, and the area was incredible and so peaceful. The house truly had everything we needed and more. It had a huge kitchen, large eating spaces, beautiful bedrooms with comfy beds. We loved the bunk room combined with a game room/movie projector area! Outside we enjoyed playing corn hole, Jenga and s’mores around the fire pit. My entire family had a wonderful vacation. Such a fabulous way to start the summer. Jake and Annie were great hosts. Excellent communication! Always received a prompt response.

We stayed with family for ice fishing vacation. We had such a good time. Favorite part is all the fish we caught and the easy access to drive onto the lake. Very clean. Would visit again.

Sheri and Hernan were great hosts. Very spacious accommodations, well equipped and comfortable for our family. Especially enjoyed the location, easy access to Fort Frances and local convenience store. Lovely setting, fishing was very good. Our family enjoyed our stay. Can’t say enough about the lovely setting, enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the sunset. We certainly will consider this for future family gatherings. Thanks again Sheri and Hernan.

An absolutely amazing trip. We booked the boathouse to get away from the world for a few days and experience one of Minnesota's beautiful lakes. When we arrived at the boat landing, Julia was waiting for us and took us out to the island. During our visit, we never went further out then we could paddle. The island is a very serene setting - a perfect blend of awe inspiring nature, as well as rustic, yet very comfortable anemities. We spent our days sleeping in a comfortable bed, cooking lunch in the full kitchen while taking in the beauty of the lake, taking in the smell of the pines and exploring the waters on kayaks, paddleboards, and the aquabike. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset every night from the shore, and took our time looking at the endless stars before before retiring to the boathouse for the night. At night, we listened to the waves crash against the shore and loons sing to each other. To the people who grew up visiting the Northwoods, this will feel very nostalgic, and people who have never been will enjoy the new memories and experiences greatly. A perfect place to disconnect from the world. In addition to the wonderful nature and great boat house, Julia is an absolute gem of a person. From the moment we met her, she was so kind and welcoming. You can tell she has a great love and appreciation for the island. She was extremely responsive to questions prior to arriving, as well as when we were on the island. I cannot thank her enough.

This lake house was absolutely wonderful!!!! A needed respite and very comfortable. The house is surrounded with beauty and the furnishings are so cozy that you feel like you are at home. Melissa has thought of everything and has gone beyond. The area has local stores and restaurants that have such unique ambiance with friendly staff. We stayed here for a month and a half with some of that time being colder weeks and were even able to enjoy a beautiful snow on the lake. If you are looking for a stay that will check all the boxes, you’ve found it in this place. Highly recommended!!!!

Our stay at Joels cabin was excellent. Everything was as described. There were no surprises.The cabin was very clean and well stocked with the amenities that we needed. The view from the cabin and deck was beautiful, looking out onto the clear water of Crow Lake and the Canadian Shield. Our morning coffee’s on the deck were peaceful and oh so enjoyable. Having a boat launch and boat docking space in a protected inlet that was viewable from the cabin, not only was a great convenience, but also added a nice sense of security in being able to keep an eye on our boat. The cabin is situated on a lake that has the most clear, clean water. Fishing was great right on Crow Lake for lake trout and bass. The cabin is also in close proximity to Lake of Woods, which is just across the highway. Lots of walleye, bass and crappie if that’s what you’re after. Joel, his wife and their dog Annie were excellent, gracious hosts. They afforded you your privacy, but were right there if anything was needed.

Can’t say enough great things about this cabin. Such cute decor, clean as a whistle, such a well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, awesome location. We would head back in a second!

Property was spacious, well maintained, and clean. Host provided clear instructions and was always friendly, proactive and responsive. This definitely contributed to an overall positive vacation experience!

Quaint and peaceful cottage on the water. Not a lot of frills but just the space to get away. It was affordable compared to other places in the area and since I did have to work, it was nice to have reliable WiFi!

What an amazing place! We loved spending time here and enjoying nature. Our 3 year old did not want to leave “the brown house” and did not want to leave Canada! We did star gazing outside the house one night and a cozy movie night inside the second night. During the day we went hiking across the border. We are already considering visiting again.
