A more than 130-year-old log cabin in the cultural heritage landscape of Suvanto takes its residents on a time journey to a 19th-century Ostrobothnian village. The destination is best suited for lovers of Lapland's nature, history and silence, who are not afraid of the dark in winter or mosquitoes in summer. Please note: there is no public transportation to the village, no toilet in the main building, nor a shower. There is a separate sauna building outside and a traditional outhouse behind the sauna.

The cottage has been renovated to the present day and has a well-equipped kitchen. In the downstairs bedroom, a double bed and a wardrobe. One double bed and a workspace on the loft. In addition, the cottage has a fireplace, sauna, washing machine and a drying cabinet. There is an outdoor fire pit in the yard of the cottage for a fire.

Our igloos are 32m² in size and can accommodate two to four persons. The motorized double bed is directly under the glass ceiling. Separate extra beds are made from the sofa. An absolute gem of Airbnb! We felt just like in a fairytale. Tranquillity in the middle of the forest but close to the villages around with supermarkets. Very well maintained roads around. Good morning It is a cottage in the heart of nature. That's what we liked. Being away from hotels and hotel complexes and in the middle of nature. The cottage is well-equipped, functional and the sleds available for children are a real plus. Thank you. We made some great memories.

We arrived late, having the coded door for check in was a great start. The home was warm and inviting. It had everything you will need, the owners even left us a welcome bottle of Prosecco 😍. Communication from the owners before, during and after was excellent. Highly recommend this accommodation… we saw the northern lights from our bedroom window and I can’t tell you how close you are to the ski slopes. The sauna is like something out of a movie…. We enjoyed an evening in here while watching the kids play in the snow …. Bliss 🙌🏼….Amazing stay start to Finnish

Wow! Lovely, beautiful and magical! No words can describe this place. Igloo was super cool, very cozy and warm. All the instructions and chat before arrival very clear and friendly. We were hosted by Daniel, who was nice and friendly, he showed us the igloo and surrounding. He showed us the way to the lake, since it was night at our arrival. The lake was frozen and the Northern Lights were above. It was such a perfect timing. AMAZING! And only 1 min walk from igloo! Possible to walk on the lake. Outside temperature was -22 (December), but inside igloo with fireplace was very nice and +20. With all the blankets, even too warm. Next to igloo, there is private jacuzzi with 40 degrees water, so definitely recommend to use it and enjoy with snow around. Sauna also available, but we haven’t use it. Our dog was happy to play with the manager’s dog. Our only regret is that we haven’t stayed there for 2 nights. If there is opportunity, definitely recommend this place! We will be back ❤️😊❄️

The cottage was cozy,quiet and exactly like in the pictures! Bus stop and all the needed services were nearby. We had a lovely stay and Merituuli was a great host!
